Abstract

Academic self-efficacy (ASE) is a critical determinant of students' success, yet traditional punishment-based approaches to counseling have proven ineffective in enhancing ASE. This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of Cognitive-Behavioral Modification (CBM) counseling in improving ASE among junior high school students. A quantitative research design was employed, utilizing a true experimental approach with a pretest-posttest control group design. Participants consisted of junior high school students from SMP Negeri 2 Malang, East Java province of Indonesia, who were randomly assigned to experimental and control groups. The experimental group received CBM counseling with a Modeling (M) technique, while the control group followed standard counseling practices. Data were collected using ASE assessments administered before and after the intervention, and analyzed using non-parametric statistical tests. Results demonstrated that CBM-M counseling significantly enhanced students' ASE compared to the control group. The findings suggest that the CBM approach, particularly when combined with modeling techniques, is highly effective in fostering positive cognitive and behavioral changes that improve ASE. These results emphasize the need for a shift from punishment-based strategies to problem-solving approaches in school counseling, with implications for broader educational practices.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi dan mendeskripsikan permasalahan dalam pembelajaran di SMP Negeri 2 Sandai Kabupaten Ketapang. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian studi kasus. Data utama atau informan kunci dalam penelitian ini adalah subjek utama penelitian yaitu kepala sekolah dan guru (PAI, IPA, IPS, dan Bahasa Inggris) berjumlah 10 orang SMP Negeri 2 Sandai Kabupaten Ketapang yang bersangkutan. Penentuan responden didasarkan pada guru yang diberi tugas mengajar tidak sesuai dengan bidang keahlian dan latar belakang pendidikannya. (penentuan responden dan yang diteliti). Data sekunder atau data pendukung dalam penelitian ini meliputi kepala sekolah, guru, dan data dokumentasi. Dari hasil penelitian ditemukan permasalahan guru mengajar di SMP Negeri 2 Sandai Kabupaten Ketapang, guru yang diangkat mengajar dan tidak sesuai dengan bidang keahliannya menemui berbagai permasalahan dalam prosesnya seperti kesulitan dalam memahami materi, dan siswa yang juga kesulitan dalam menyerap penjelasan dari guru, meskipun pihak sekolah memberikan strategi sebagai alternatif untuk memperlancar tugas guru namun tetap saja sebagai sebuah kebutuhan, seorang guru memang dituntut untuk menyelaraskan antara bidang keahliannya dengan tugas mengajarnya. Pihak sekolah memberikan strategi atau alternatif dengan memberikan pelatihan, pendekatan, pengawasan, komunikasi, koordinasi kepada para guru yang mengalami kesulitan, dukungan diberikan juga dalam bentuk fasilitas, media dan sumber ajar, walaupun hambatan menyertai para guru yang mengalami kesulitan karena tidak memahami materi pelajaran dan harus mencari referensi agar peserta didik tidak mendapatkan dampak penyerapan materi ajarnya

Abstract

The aim of this study is to describe thematic learning in forming the Pancasila Student Profile by knowing the planning, implementation and knowing the learning assessment tools in forming the Pancasila Student Profile. This study uses an illuminative evaluation model, with data sources coming from four Elementary Madrasah in Sintang Regency. The data were qualitative data collected through observation, interview, and documentation techniques. Triangulation of techniques and sources is used to ensure the validity of the data. The results of the analysis of learning carried out at class IV in four (4) Elementary Madrasah in Sintang Regency in forming the Pancasila Student Profile found 1) Each Madrasah has a learning planning formulation consisting of a syllabus document and a Learning Implementation Plan. The syllabus document adopts the formulation issued by the Education and Culture Office or downloaded via the internet; 2) The learning implementation process at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah in Sintang Regency is carried out based on the characteristics of each Madrasah while still adhering to the syllabus. Some Madrasah use Dhuha prayer as an opening activity, some use Tahfidz activities as routine activities in the morning. The implementation of the three stages in learning in general is carried out well; 3). The critical reasoning aspect according to Bloom's taxonomy theory has not been reflected in the learning assessment tools which are prepared or used by teachers.

Abstract

This study analyzes academic writing competence among teachers at SMA Negeri 6 Pontianak using Talcott Parsons' AGIL theory. This study involves nine teachers with job classifications IVa/b as participants. Employing qualitative methods, data were collected through in-depth interviews, academic paper observations, and performance document reviews. In the digital age, writing skills are crucial for educators adapting to evolving education trends. Findings reveal inadequate adaptation to educational policies and limited commitment to teacher professionalism. Despite achieving commitment to academic writing, teachers focus on cognitive goals, neglecting practical applications in the classroom and facing resource planning constraints. There is a moderate integration of research findings into teaching tasks. Competence development is sporadic, with a significant percentage having not undergone training, and All respondents lack support for research funding latency. Urgent actions are necessary to improve teachers' policy adaptation, broaden academic writing goals to include practical applications, enhance resource planning, and provide consistent support for competence development through training and financial assistance. This research emphasizes the critical need for comprehensive improvements to address current challenges in teacher professionalism and academic writing competencies, contributing valuable insights for educational policy and practice

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji keefektivan layanan konseling kelompok menggunakan teknik Trait and Factor mengatasi kesulitan memilih sekolah lanjutan siswa SMP. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan bentuk pre-experimental design dan rancangan penelitian one-group pretest-posttes design. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu angket sekolah lanjutan. Analisis data menggunakan statistic parametrik Paired Sample T Test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa skor pretest peserta didik memiliki persentase rata-rata sebesar 43,33% dengan kategori rendah dan skor post-test memiliki persentase rata-rata sebesar 79,66% dengan kategori tinggi, benar mengalami peningkatan sebesar 36,33%. Hasil uji hipotesis menunjukkan t = -18,861 signifikan pada 0,000 < dari 0,05 yang berarti H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima. Dengan demikian dapat diartikan bahwa terdapat peningkatan yang signifikan kemampuan siswa mengatasi kesulitan memilih sekolah lanjutan setelah konseling kelompok dengan teknik trait and factor.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji keefektifan Teknik Desensitisasi Sistematik Terhadap Kecemasan Menghadapi Penilaian Akhir Semester Pada Siswa Kelas VIII SMP Negeri 8 Pontianak. Metode Penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan bentuk penelitian Pre-Eksperimental Design dengan rancangan penelitian Pre-test – Post-test Two Group Design. Jumlah populasi 16 siswa. Pengambilan sampel dengan memilih siswa yang hasil pre-test nya lebih dari 43,2 sehingga akhirnya di dapatkan jumlah sampel 12 orang siswa dengan tingkat kecemasaan yang sedang dan tinggi. Berdasarkan hasil rata-rata pre-test kelompok eksperimen sebesar 87,67 sebelum diberikan perlakuan dan hasil rata-rata post-test sebesar 43,5 setelah diberikan perlakuan. Selanjutnya diperoleh T hitung menggunakan Paired Sample T-test yaitu 5 dengan nilai Sig. (2 tailed) 0.00<0.05 yang artinya Hₐ diterima dan Hₒ ditolak, dengan demikian ada perbedaan yang signifikan antara kecemasaan siswa sebelum dan sesudah diberi perlakuan dengan teknik desensitisasi sistematik. Jadi dapat disimpulkan bahwa teknik desensitisasi sistematik efektif dalam mengurangi kecemasaan menghadapi penilaian akhir semester siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 8 Pontianak.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the planning, implementation, results, and obstacles in the clinical supervision of principals at SMP Negeri 7 Simpang Hilir. This study uses a qualitative method which was carried out in March-May 2022. The subjects of this study were (1) Deputy principals, and (2) Teachers at SMP Negeri 7 Simpang Hilir. Data acquisition by means of; observation, interview and documentation. The results of this study indicate that: (1) The planning and implementation of principal supervision at SMP Negeri 7 Simpang Hilir has been carried out effectively. (2) the performance of teachers at SMP Negeri 7 Simpang Hilir has increased significantly. (3) the supervision carried out by the principal has a positive influence on the performance of teachers at SMP Negeri 7 Simpang Hilir. This research is also to determine whether there are deviations in the implementation of learning accompanied by improvement efforts and supervision is carried out on an ongoing basis so as to ensure that learning activities are carried out in real terms and are planned activities.

Abstract

This study aims to examine and analyze the effect of leadership style, work motivation, work discipline on the performance of teachers at SMPN 04 Putussibau. This study uses a quantitative descriptive approach. The technique collected in the form of primary data through a questionnaire distributed to respondents called a questionnaire. The data collection technique used purposive sampling technique, namely the sampling technique with certain considerations, namely using certain criteria such as educators who have worked for more than 1 year, this research was conducted by distributing questionnaires to 30 teachers at SMPN 04 Putussibau. From the results of the study that the leadership style variable has no significant effect on teacher performance, the results of the multiple regression equation obtained a value of 0.055 with a t-count value of 0.206 smaller than t-table 2.055 and a Sig value of 0.840 greater than 0.05, then Ha is rejected. The work motivation variable has a significant effect on teacher performance, namely the value of the multiple regression equation produces a value of 0.596, with a t-count value of 2.217 smaller than t-table 2.0555 and a Sig value of 0.037 smaller than 0.05 then Ha is accepted. The work discipline variable has a significant effect on teacher performance, namely the value of the multiple regression equation obtained by a value of 0.790, with a value of 3.151 greater than t table 2.055 and a Sig value of 0.006 less than 0.05, then Ha is accepted. Leadership style, work motivation and work discipline simultaneously (simultaneously) have a significant effect on teacher performance at SMPN 04 Putussibau.

Abstract

This study aims to develop an E-Book for accounting practicum and evaluate user responses to its implementation. A needs analysis revealed that 48 out of 51 students lacked access to learning resources and required instructional media, correlating with their suboptimal learning outcomes. The research utilizes a Research and Development (R&D) approach, specifically employing the 4D model. The Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) Questionnaire was administered to gauge user feedback. The participants included 51 eleventh-grade students from SMKS Filadelfia Pemangkat. Data analysis involved both qualitative and quantitative descriptive methods to address the research questions regarding the E-Book's design, user feedback, and any significant disparities in responses based on socio-economic status. The E-Book, developed using Canva and edited with Heyzine, comprises 2 chapters, 4 videos, 2 Excel files, and 2 online quizzes. User responses from small and large group trials were overwhelmingly positive, categorized as "Strongly Agree." Further analysis indicated that students from higher socio-economic backgrounds had a higher median score (3.95) compared to those from moderate (3.50) and underprivileged backgrounds (3.00). These findings suggest significant differences in user responses based on socio-economic status.

Abstract

This research aims to find out and analyze in depth about students who are often late coming to school at SMA Negeri 11 West Pontianak. The case subjects in this study were two students. The method used in this research is descriptive with a qualitative approach in the form of a case study. The data collection techniques used are direct communication and documentation with data analysis techniques using case study steps including problem identification, diagnosis, prognosis, treatment, evaluation and follow-up. When providing treatment, researchers use the Behavioral counseling model. The implementation of counseling in case subject I uses aversion therapy techniques and positive reinforcement while in case subject II uses aversion therapy techniques and response formation. The factors causing the case subject to be late for school are due to internal and external factors. The results showed that there were significant changes in case subjects I and II after being given treatment four times. The changes in case subjects I and II are that students are not late, before the bell is rung the case subject is already present at school, disciplines themselves to manage daily time and is more eager to take part in learning.
