Abstract

This article analyzes the genealogy and dialectics of modernity as a strategic foundation for the transformation of Islamic education in Nusantara from the 17th century to the digital era. The study aims to dissect the consciousness structure behind the evolution of Islamic educational institutions as they transition from traditional entities to contemporary hybrid models. Using a qualitative design with a historical-phenomenological approach, this analysis traces the historical trajectory starting from the Jawi-Haramain transnational networks, the pesantren system, to the dialectical responses against colonialism and digital disruption. Research findings indicate that Islamic education in Indonesia has successfully constructed a 'third space' through 'genius acculturation,' shielding the institution from the dichotomy of secularism and extreme conservatism. The dialectics between tradition and modernity have produced competitive hybrid typologies that are now evolving into digital ecosystems. The study concludes that the transformative power of Nusantara Islamic education lies in its resilience in reconciling divine authority with technological literacy, offering a prototype for future Islamic education that is resilient to global disruption without losing its spiritual identity.

Abstract

The low level of students' Arabic reading skills is often caused by monotonous learning methods and a lack of initial vocabulary mastery, which leads to difficulties in comprehending texts as a whole. This issue is reinforced by field facts showing that the students' initial average scores remain below the minimum mastery standard. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of the Contextual Teaching and Learning model assisted by Word Search media in improving Maharah Qira’ah. Using a mixed-method approach, the research involved 52 ninth-grade students at SMP Azharyah Palembang. Data were collected through observation, interviews, tests, and student response questionnaires, with data analysis conducted using the Independent Sample t-Test. Quantitative analysis results showed a significant increase in the experimental class with a post-test average of 77.60, exceeding the control class at 64.44, with a Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.006 < 0.05. This study is supported by highly positive student responses, with the average motivation reaching 93.23%. Qualitatively, observations indicated that students became more active and enthusiastic about discovering textual meanings independently. The novelty of this research lies in the integration of Word Search media as scaffolding within the contextual learning framework, which facilitates interactive vocabulary identification. This innovation is effective as a bridge for students before engaging in more complex reading comprehension tasks.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis risiko Keselamatan dan Kesehatan Kerja (K3) pada Praktikum Kimia Anorganik II dengan metode Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment, and Risk Control (HIRARC). Analisis dilakukan secara kualitatif-kuantitatif melalui observasi langsung menggunakan matriks penilaian risiko untuk menentukan parameter consequence, likelihood, dan exposure. Hasil menunjukkan adanya risiko kategori Very High pada tahap pembuatan reagen, khususnya saat pemindahan dan pencampuran bahan kimia cair pekat yang bersifat korosif dan iritan. Tingkat risiko dalam kegiatan praktikum bervariasi dari kategori Acceptable, Priority 3, Substantial, hingga Priority 1, dengan dominasi bahaya kimia serta kombinasi bahaya kimia-fisika. Laboratorium telah memiliki sebagian besar pengendalian teknis seperti lemari asam dan alat proteksi kebakaran, namun pengendalian administratif belum optimal, ditandai dengan pelatihan K3 yang tidak rutin serta rendahnya kepatuhan penggunaan alat pelindung diri. Perilaku kerja tidak aman turut meningkatkan nilai likelihood dan exposure. Oleh karena itu, penguatan pengendalian administratif melalui penerapan Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) diperlukan untuk menurunkan tingkat risiko sekaligus meningkatkan budaya keselamatan kerja di laboratorium pendidikan.

Abstract

Perencanaan dalam konteks pendidikan tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai dokumen administratif, tetapi juga merupakan hasil dari aktivitas mental yang kompleks. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menguraikan perencanaan sebagai proses berpikir tingkat tinggi yang melibatkan pengamatan, analisis, penetapan tujuan, perumusan strategi, serta evaluasi dan refleksi. Dengan menggunakan metode studi pustaka dan pendekatan deskriptif-kualitatif, artikel ini menganalisis bagaimana aktivitas mental berperan penting dalam menyusun perencanaan pendidikan yang adaptif, efektif, dan berorientasi pada mutu. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa keterlibatan kognitif dalam perencanaan memungkinkan pengambilan keputusan yang bijak, pemanfaatan sumber daya yang efisien, serta peningkatan profesionalisme pendidik. Artikel ini menekankan pentingnya membangun budaya berpikir reflektif dalam proses perencanaan pendidikan demi menghasilkan kebijakan dan program yang relevan dan berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Premarital counseling at Religious Affairs Offices has often been implemented as an administrative and normative program rather than as a structured educational process. This study aims to construct an Islamic education model for premarital counseling at Religious Affairs Offices in Palembang, Indonesia.The study employed an embedded mixed-methods design, with qualitative inquiry as the primary approach and quantitative data as supportive evidence. Data were collected at three Religious Affairs Offices through interviews, participant observation, document analysis, questionnaires, and pretest–posttest measures involving prospective couples and program facilitators. Qualitative data were analyzed through reduction, categorization, triangulation, and thematic interpretation, while quantitative data were examined using descriptive statistics and paired comparison tests.The findings show that Islamic education in premarital counseling is constructed through three interconnected dimensions. The input dimension includes participant characteristics, facilitator competence, curriculum content, and learning facilities. The process dimension involves value-based instruction, dialogic interaction, case-based learning, experiential activities, and contextual use of learning media. The output dimension is reflected in improved participants’ understanding of Islamic marriage principles, stronger attitudes toward responsibility and mutual respect, and practical readiness in communication, conflict management, family finance, reproductive health, and religious commitment.Premarital counseling can function as a strategic site of non-formal Islamic education when it integrates theological values, adult learning principles, and practical family-life competencies. However, its effectiveness requires curriculum renewal, longer instructional duration, systematic post-counseling support, and continuous facilitator capacity-building. The proposed model offers a framework for strengthening Islamic premarital education and improving family resilience programs in Indonesia.
