This study take three months since July to September 2019. The objective of this study was to find out the interaction effect and main effect of giving vermi compost fertilizer andNPK 16:16:16 to the growth and production of edamame soybean. The experimental design used was Completely Randomized Design factorial. The first factor was giving vermi compost (V) fertilizer with doses 0, 500, 1000, 1500 g per plot, and second factor was gift NPK 16:16:16 (N) Fertilizer with a dose of 0, 15, 30, 45 g per plot so that there are 16 combinations repeated 3 times to obtain 48 experimental units. Parameters that were observed, were plant height, relative growth rate, number of pods per plant, percentage of fruitful pods, and seed weight per plant. The data analysis of observation in variance then done with test carry on HSD level of 5%. The results showed that the interaction of vermi compost fertilizer and NPK 16:16:16 applications significantly affected the height of the plant, amount of pod per plant, percentage of pod pithy,    and Seed Weight per plant. The best treatment was vermi compost fertilizer at a dose of 1500 g/plot and NPK 16:16:16 with a dose of 30 g/plot (V3N2). The main effect of the application of vermi compost fertilizer was significant to whole parameter. The best treatment was vermi compost with a dose of 1500 g/plot (V3). The main effect  of  application of  NPK 16:16:16 was significant to whole parameter. The the best treatment was NPK 16:16:16 with a dose of 30 g/plot (N2).

Abstract

This study, conducted by Fara Ariyanti Risma Ayu (2025), analyzes the influence of supervision and work ability on employee performance through the mediating role of public service quality at Bank Jatim Sumenep Branch. Employing an explanatory research design with a quantitative approach, the study involved a sample of 86 respondents and used SmartPLS for data analysis. The objectives were to: (1) describe supervision, work ability, public service quality, and employee performance; (2) examine the direct and indirect effects of supervision and work ability on performance, with public service quality as a mediator. Findings show that supervision has a positive but insignificant direct effect on employee performance (original sample = 0.024; p = 0.749), while it has a positive and significant impact on public service quality (0.293; p = 0.000). Work ability significantly influences both public service quality (0.586; p = 0.000) and employee performance (0.316; p = 0.000). Public service quality itself significantly affects employee performance (0.624; p = 0.000). Indirectly, supervision positively and significantly influences employee performance through public service quality (0.183; p = 0.000), as does work ability (0.365; p = 0.000). In conclusion, although direct supervision does not significantly impact employee performance, it contributes through its strong influence on service quality. Work ability is shown to be a crucial factor, both directly and indirectly, in enhancing performance. These findings emphasize the importance of improving service quality as a strategic mediating factor in boosting employee outcomes within the banking sector

Abstract

Excessive sugar consumption in children has become an increasingly worrying public health issue, especially due to the increased risk of obesity, type 2 diabetes and other diseases. The government has an important role in monitoring and controlling the sugar content in food consumed by children through various policies and regulations. This paper examines the role of the Indonesian government in monitoring sugar content in children's food, including the policies that have been implemented, the challenges faced, and evaluating the effectiveness of these policies. The results of the study show that although measures such as sugar content labeling and education campaigns have been implemented, the effectiveness of these policies is still limited by various factors, such as food industry resistance, low public awareness, and limited supervision. Based on policy analysis in other countries, such as the UK and Mexico, it is recommended that the Indonesian government consider implementing additional policies, such as a sugar tax, as well as strengthening public education and monitoring existing regulations. In conclusion, the government's role in monitoring sugar content in children's food is very important, however still needs strengthening and improvement so that the goal of protecting children's health can be achieved effectively.

Abstract

Students at MTs Ushuluddin Singkawang face several challenges in learning the Indonesian language, particularly in writing literary works. Based on observations and interviews, it was found that most students have low self-confidence, limited literacy skills, and a lack of creativity in expressing ideas through writing. Their written works generally consist of summaries of lesson materials rather than creative literary pieces such as short stories. To address these issues, the implementation team carried out a Community Service Program (PkM) in the form of a short story writing workshop aimed at enhancing students’ creativity, literacy skills, and self-confidence in literary writing. The workshop was conducted through four main stages: (1) preparation, including material development, coordination with the school, and participant selection; (2) training implementation, involving the delivery of short story writing techniques and hands-on practice; (3) mentoring for story production, providing guidance in drafting and revising students’ works; and (4) evaluation through assessment of the final works and measurement of improvement using pretests and posttests. A total of 27 students from class VIIIC participated in this activity. The results showed a significant improvement in students’ short story writing skills, with 77.8% achieving a “very high” category and 22.2% achieving a “high” category. Participant satisfaction was also high, with 92.59% expressing they were “very satisfied” and 7.40% “satisfied” with the program. Although some students still struggled with spelling and mechanics, overall the workshop effectively enhanced students’ understanding, motivation, and self-confidence in creative writing. Therefore, the short story writing workshop proved to be an effective means of developing students’ creative potential while strengthening the culture of literacy in schools..

Abstract

The cross-border mobility of Indonesian labor has become a global phenomenon that significantly contributes to the national foreign exchange, yet simultaneously poses a substantial risk of human rights violations in the absence of adequate legal protection. This article examines the disharmony between international legal instruments and national regulations in the context of protecting Indonesian migrant workers. Utilizing a normative juridical approach and qualitative method, the study finds that Law Number 18 of 2017 concerning the Protection of Indonesian Migrant Workers (PPMI Law) is not fully aligned with the principles enshrined in the International Convention on the Protection of the Rights of All Migrant Workers and Members of Their Families (ICRMW) and other relevant international conventions. Such inconsistencies not only weaken legal protection at all stages of the migration cycle but also give rise to serious legal implications for the State as the guarantor of its citizens' rights. This research recommends legal harmonization strategies and institutional strengthening to ensure comprehensive and equitable fulfillment of migrant workers' rights.
