Abstract

Pre-school to school-age children are very susceptible to viruses, such as the dengue virus. Fever is a symptom that may appear in this case. One way to overcome this is with Water Tepid Sponge (WTS). This technique is a compressing action that is done using a towel or washcloth dampened with warm water. This study aims to determine health education about handling children with fever with Water Tepid Sponge. This research uses a case study method directly to patients by means of observation and interviews. Based on the implementation carried out, health education about treating children with fever with Water Edged Sponge (WTS) can be understood by the client's parents well. The results obtained are that all the interventions that have been given are effective in overcoming nursing problems in client. Keywords: Water Tepid Sponge,, Children, Booklet, Health Education

Abstract

This paper studies the reasoning methods of the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) and Muhammadiyah (MTT) to explore the law of smoking thoroughly. In determining the law of smoking the fuqaha differ in opinion, this is due to differences in the istinbath methods they use to issue regulations on issues that are not found in the Qur'an and Sunnah. In finding the law of smoking the Indonesian Ulema Council and Muhammadiyah used bayani, talili, and istislahi methods. These two organizations both use dilalah'am surat al-A'raf verse 157, that cigarettes are included in the category of al-habit, namely something bad and vile, then surat al-Isra' verses 26-27, about the prohibition of wasting wealth. They also use maqasid al-shari'ah as the basis for the ban on smoking, although in this case, Muhammadiyah is clearer and more explicit, while MUI appears to quote fiqhiyah rules. Then Muhammadiyah added Surah al-Baqarah verse 195 and al-Nisa'verse 29 as well as the hadith narrated by Ahmad and Abu Daud, as one of the arguments for the prohibition of smoking. MUI did not quote the two verses and hadith as evidence for the prohibition of smoking. MUI quotes many fiqhiyah rules while Muhammadiyah does not quote them at all.

Abstract

Koperasi merupakan soko guru perekonomian bangsa. Sebagai soko guru perekonomian bangsa, maka koperasi harus terus dikembangkan sehingga mempunyai daya saing. Untuk berdaya saing, salah satu hal yang sangat penting bagi organisasi adalah kualitas SDM. Koperasi Wanita Penanggungan merupakan salah satu koperasi wanita yang ada di Kota Malang yang produktif. Untuk meningkatkan daya saing dan supaya Kopwan Penanggungan tersebut bisa terus berkesinambungan maka perlu diadakan suatu program peningkatan kualitas pengurus dan kuantitas anggotanya. Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis tentang bagaimana strategi peningkatan kualitas pengurus dan peningkatan kuantitas jumlah anggota di Koperasi Wanita Penanggungan Kota Malang. Metode dan pendekatan yang digunakan didalam kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah dengan pendekatan metode ceramah, partisipatif, pendekatan kelompok, metode diskusi/Forum Group Discussion (FGD) dan pendampingan. Hasil dari kegiatan pengabdian ini bahwa peningkatan kualitas pengurus Kopwan Penanggungan bisa dilakukan dengan beberapa langkah antara lain mengokohkan kepemimpinan, meningkatkan pelayanan pengurus kepada anggota, meningkatkan kredibilitas pengurus Kopwan Penanggungan, mengadakan pelatihan pelaksanaan pembukuan dan laporan keuangan sistemkomputerisasi, mengadakan pelatihan pengemasan dan marketing produk-produk anggota, melakukan pendampingan secara rutin, evaluasi dan monitoring terhadap program yang dilaksanakan di Kopwan Penanggungan. Sedangkan untuk meningkatkan kuantitas anggota koperasi, maka salah satau langkah bisa dilakukan adalah dengan menanamkan kepercayaan (trust) anggota kepada para pengurus Kopwan Penanggungan melalui pengelolaan Kopwan yang profesional, kredibel dan transparan.

Abstract

Kewirausahaan memiliki peranan penting dalam pembangunan suatu negara karena mampu mereduksi jumlah kemiskinan dan meningkatkan kesejahteraan ekonomi masyarakat secara umum. Oleh karena itu pendidikan kewirausahaan perlu diberikan kepada generasi muda sejak dini. Siswa prodi pemasaran SMK Sunan Kalijogo Jabung sebagian besar siswanya telah mimiliki berbagai macam produk, namun masih belum memiliki rancangan pengembangan bisnis kedepan untuk produk-produk yang sudah dihasilkan. Tujuan dari kegiatan pendampingan ini adalah untuk memberi pemahaman dan pendampingan dalam penyusunan business plan bagi siswa prodi pemasaran SMK Sunan Kalijogo Jabung. Metode dalam kegiatan ini antara lain dengan menggunakan metode ceramah, Focus Group Discussion (FGD) dan pendampingan. Hasil dari kegiatan ini antara lain adalah Siswa prodi pemasaran SMK Sunan Kalijogo Jabung memahami pentingnya beriwirausaha sejak dini, Siswa prodi pemasaran SMK Sunan Kalijogo Jabung lebih memahami pentingnya menyusun business plan dan mampu menyusun perancanaan bisnis dalam dokumen business plan.

Abstract

Religious education plays a crucial role in shaping students' character and instilling moral and spiritual values. This study aims to analyze the implementation of religious education policies in schools, focusing on the effectiveness of implementation, challenges faced by teachers and institutions, and its impact on students. The research employed a qualitative descriptive method with data collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The findings indicate that although religious education policies are formally included in the curriculum, their implementation in practice still faces several obstacles, such as limited resources, lack of teacher training, and diverse religious backgrounds of students. Recommendations include improving teacher training, strengthening the curriculum, and adopting an inclusive approach that respects religious diversity.

Abstract

The ability to read and comprehend is very important to help children learn things.Through correct and good reading activities, it is hoped that children will be able toabsorb the essence of the reading they read and get something from the readingactivities they do. This study is to find out: (1) To find out the ability of readingcomprehension in Indonesian subjects of grade IV students of SDN 52Singkawang (2) Factors that affect the ability to read comprehension in Indonesiansubjects of grade IV students of SDN 52 Singkawang. The research used isqualitative research. The subjects of this study are grade IV teachers and 10students from grade IV, where students will represent the characteristics of thepopulation as a whole. The results of the study show that (1) There are twocategories of students reading comprehension ability in Indonesian subjects,namely the middle and low categories. (2) There are two factors that affectstudents& reading ability, namely internal and external factors. In internal factors,things that affect students reading comprehension ability are emotional controland vocabulary. Meanwhile, external factors affect students reading ability,namely the family environment and the school environment.

Abstract

The prevalence of obesity in Pekanbaru City among adolescents aged 16-18 years in 2018 was 4.87%. Obesity in adolescents is mainly caused by excessive food intake. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of energy intake and macronutrient intake to the incidence of obesity in SMA Negeri 2 Pekanbaru. This type of research is descriptive analytic research with cross-sectional design. The research sample was 44 respondents obtained using stratified random sampling technique. Data collection used food recall questionnaires and anthropometric measurements. Data analysis used the spearman correlation test. The results showed that 29.5% of respondents were obese, 56.8% had excess energy intake, 75% had excess protein intake, 72.7% had excess fat intake, and 56.8% had excess carbohydrate intake. The results of bivariate analysis showed that there was no relationship between energy intake (p=0.068), protein intake (p=0.085), fat intake (0.081), and carbohydrate intake (0.068) with the incidence of obesity in adolescents. It is expected that health workers provide education about balanced nutrition to students so that optimal nutritional status for adolescents can be realized.

Abstract

Regional autonomy grants extensive authority to local governments to manage human resources (HR) as part of efforts to achieve good governance. However, its implementation still faces challenges such as HR capacity gaps, budget constraints, and the influence of globalisation. This study aims to analyse the relevance of regional autonomy in HRD to strengthen the principles of good governance and formulate appropriate development strategies. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method with a SWOT analysis approach. Primary data were obtained through in-depth interviews and observations in several local governments selected purposively based on criteria of active HRD programmes. Secondary data were collected from official government documents, publications from the Central Statistics Agency, and relevant policy reports. The analysis was conducted using the Miles and Huberman model, which includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing, while data validity was ensured through triangulation of sources and methods. The results indicate that the success of good governance is highly dependent on the quality of human resources and an adaptive bureaucratic structure. Strengths include local autonomy, demographic potential, and regulatory support, while weaknesses include disparities in human resource quality and limited performance evaluation. The greatest opportunities lie in the utilisation of digital technology and strategic partnerships, while threats include brain drain and inconsistent regulatory changes. The implications of this study emphasise the importance of an integrated strategy that combines human resource capacity building, technology utilisation, and national character building as instruments of national power in facing the challenges of globalisation.

Abstract

This research has been done in the experimental farm of the Faculty of Agriculture, Islamic University of Riau, Jalan Kaharuddin Nasution, Bukit Raya, Pekanbaru. This study take three months since July to September 2019. The objective of this study was to find out the interaction effect and main effect of giving vermi compost fertilizer andNPK 16:16:16 to the growth and production of edamame soybean. The experimental design used was Completely Randomized Design factorial. The first factor was giving vermi compost (V) fertilizer with doses 0, 500, 1000, 1500 g per plot, and second factor was gift NPK 16:16:16 (N) Fertilizer with a dose of 0, 15, 30, 45 g per plot so that there are 16 combinations repeated 3 times to obtain 48 experimental units. Parameters that were observed, were plant height, relative growth rate, number of pods per plant, percentage of fruitful pods, and seed weight per plant. The data analysis of observation in variance then done with test carry on HSD level of 5%. The results showed that the interaction of vermi compost fertilizer and NPK 16:16:16 applications significantly affected the height of the plant, amount of pod per plant, percentage of pod pithy,    and Seed Weight per plant. The best treatment was vermi compost fertilizer at a dose of 1500 g/plot and NPK 16:16:16 with a dose of 30 g/plot (V3N2). The main effect of the application of vermi compost fertilizer was significant to whole parameter. The best treatment was vermi compost with a dose of 1500 g/plot (V3). The main effect  of  application of  NPK 16:16:16 was significant to whole parameter. The the best treatment was NPK 16:16:16 with a dose of 30 g/plot (N2).

Abstract

This study, conducted by Fara Ariyanti Risma Ayu (2025), analyzes the influence of supervision and work ability on employee performance through the mediating role of public service quality at Bank Jatim Sumenep Branch. Employing an explanatory research design with a quantitative approach, the study involved a sample of 86 respondents and used SmartPLS for data analysis. The objectives were to: (1) describe supervision, work ability, public service quality, and employee performance; (2) examine the direct and indirect effects of supervision and work ability on performance, with public service quality as a mediator. Findings show that supervision has a positive but insignificant direct effect on employee performance (original sample = 0.024; p = 0.749), while it has a positive and significant impact on public service quality (0.293; p = 0.000). Work ability significantly influences both public service quality (0.586; p = 0.000) and employee performance (0.316; p = 0.000). Public service quality itself significantly affects employee performance (0.624; p = 0.000). Indirectly, supervision positively and significantly influences employee performance through public service quality (0.183; p = 0.000), as does work ability (0.365; p = 0.000). In conclusion, although direct supervision does not significantly impact employee performance, it contributes through its strong influence on service quality. Work ability is shown to be a crucial factor, both directly and indirectly, in enhancing performance. These findings emphasize the importance of improving service quality as a strategic mediating factor in boosting employee outcomes within the banking sector
