Abstract

Surah An-Nisa, verse 43 of the Al-Qur'an, stipulates that individuals in a state of junub are forbidden from entering the mosque. Numerous fiqh and tafsir scholars subsequently associated this restriction with menstruation women, so restricting their entry into mosques. This study seeks to investigate the function of mosques and women within the context of Qur'anic da'wah, particularly on the restriction on menstrual women, notably preachers, from visiting mosques. This research is qualitative and descriptive, employing a library research methodology that entails gathering data from several scientific publications, interpretations of the Al-Qur'an, and the perspectives of ulama concerning the regulations and etiquette for menstruation women in mosques. This study seeks to link these laws to the objectives of da'wah, particularly concerning women's involvement in religious and social activities within mosques. This research indicates two perspectives on the restriction of menstruation women from attending mosques. Rigid beliefs entirely forbid menstruation women from attending mosques to preserve the sanctity of the prayer space. Conversely, lenient interpretations permit menstruation women to occupy the mosque vicinity, provided they refrain from entering the prayer area and uphold decorum in accordance with Shari'a principles. Consequently, they may continue to engage in da'wah and religious instruction activities, provided they adhere to the etiquette prescribed by Shari'a. This research is new in its Qur'anic da'wah method, which underscores the significance of inclusivity and the role of women in da'wah within mosques, while adhering to established regulations. This research's conclusions examine the stringent and lenient perspectives of the ulama concerning these regulations

Abstract

The city of Surabaya is the capital of East Java Province. As a result, villagers looking for work are turning to the city. This triggered a large migration flow and the need for housing, leading to the emergence of illegal settlements in urban areas. One of them is Dupak Magersari Village, Jepara Village, Bubutan District. To overcome this problem, the government provides decent housing for low-income people (MBR) in the form of rental flats (rusunawa). However, low-cost flats often face issues such as poor maintenance, leaky roofs and pipes, and uncomfortable living environments. Therefore, behavioral architecture approaches are used in the planning and design of rusunawa as an alternative to sustainable and affordable living. This approach considers the relationship between a person's behavior and the surrounding environment. The design is made through macro and micro studies, such as accessibility for all groups, connectivity between buildings, forms that adapt to the concept of village, and flexible shared spaces according to the needs of residents. It is hoped that its implementation can create a safe and comfortable environment to live in, in harmony with the surrounding community and nature.

Abstract

The rhinoceros beetle (Oryctes rhinoceros L.) is a major pest of oil palm that can reduce production and even cause mortality in immature plants. An environmentally friendly alternative for its control is the use of entomopathogenic bacterium Bacillus thuringiensis (Bt). This study aimed to determine the effect of different Bt concentration on the mortality of O. rhinoceros larvae, identify the most efficient concentration, and estimate the lethal concentration (LC50), and lethal time (LT50). The experiment consisted of six treatments (0%, 4%, 5%, 6%, 7%, and 8%) with four replications. Observed variables included morphological changes, larval mortalty, LC50, and LT50 values. The results showed that Bt had a significant effect on larval mortality. The 7% concentration was the most efficient, resulting in 98.8% mortality at 14 days after application (DAA) with the fastest LT50 of 7 days. The 6% and 8% treatments also achieved 100% mortality at 20 DAA but had longer LT50 (9 days). Symptoms of infection were characterized by larval bodies becoming darkened, softened, and emitting a foul odor. It can be concluded that the 7% Bt concentration was the most efficient in controlling O. rhinoceros larvae in vitro and has potential as a biological control agent to replace chemical insecticides.

Abstract

The development of information and communication technology (ICT) in Indonesia has driven significant transformation in the state administrative system, particularly in the implementation of digital-based public services. This study aims to analyze the role of the state administrative system in improving the quality of public services in the digital era, as well as to identify the challenges and solutions encountered. The method used is a library research approach by examining various relevant scientific literature sources, such as journals, books, official reports, and applicable regulations. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of digital technology through the concept of e-government is able to enhance the effectiveness, efficiency, transparency, and accountability of public services. This is reflected in the increasing use of digital services by the public, along with improvements in a more modern and structured bureaucratic system. However, the implementation of digitalization still faces several challenges, including infrastructure gaps, limited human resource competencies, and the lack of optimal integration between government systems. Therefore, strengthening the state administrative system is necessary through improving the quality of human resources, developing technological infrastructure, and formulating adaptive policies to support the success of digital transformation in public service delivery.

Abstract

This research aims to (1) determine the characteristics of social and moral development in elementary schoolaged children, and (2) to determine the implications of children's social and moral development for the formation of social attitudes in elementary school-aged children. The research method used in this research is research by direct observation. The results of the research show that the social and moral development characteristics of elementary school children are aware of the social roles, religion, race and socio-economic status of their peers, accept cultural stereotypes and adult attitudes towards This status gives rise to group awareness in behaving in their social environment. These characteristics will remain until childhood and will continue until they are adults if educators provide stimulus to continue their developmental tasks in a mature manner. This stimulus takes the form of guidance, direction, and provides a good and healthy social and cultural environment for social, emotional and moral development so that it has implications for the formation of good social attitudes. Abstract

Early diagnosis of diabetes mellitus is crucial to prevent severe complications and reduce long-term healthcare costs, making accurate and efficient predictive models an important research focus in medical data analytics. However, one of the main challenges in diabetes prediction lies in the presence of irrelevant and redundant features within medical datasets, which can degrade classification accuracy, increase computational complexity, and reduce model generalizability. To address this issue, this study proposes a Hybrid Feature Selection (HFS) approach that integrates filter-based methods and meta-heuristic optimization to identify an optimal subset of features for diabetes prediction. In the proposed framework, statistical filter techniques combining Chi-square and Mutual Information are first employed to rank and reduce feature dimensionality by selecting the most relevant attributes. Subsequently, a Genetic Algorithm (GA) is applied to further optimize the feature subset by maximizing classification accuracy while minimizing the number of selected features. The effectiveness of the proposed HFS approach is evaluated using the Pima Indian Diabetes Dataset, consisting of 768 instances and 8 clinical features, and tested across multiple machine learning classifiers, including Random Forest, Support Vector Machine (SVM), K-Nearest Neighbors (KNN), and XGBoost. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed HFS significantly improves predictive performance compared to baseline models without feature selection. Specifically, the Random Forest classifier achieved the highest accuracy of 79.22%, compared to 74.03% in the baseline model, representing an improvement of approximately 5.2%. Additionally, notable improvements were observed in F1-score and AUC, with AUC increasing from 0.8336 to 0.8403. Beyond accuracy gains, the proposed method reduced feature dimensionality from 8 to 5 features, resulting in lower computational cost and faster model training time. These findings indicate that the hybrid integration of filter-based selection and meta-heuristic optimization provides a robust and efficient solution for feature selection in medical prediction tasks. Overall, the proposed HFS framework offers a promising approach for developing accurate, efficient, and reliable decision-support systems for early diabetes diagnosis.

Abstract

Language is the primary means of communication and the transmission of local wisdom, especially in Malay society, which is rich in oral literary traditions such as pantun. The problem of this research is how the denotative and connotative meanings in the pantun for the coronation of the Datuk title in Kuantan Singingi. This study aims to describe and analyze both types of meanings. The method used is descriptive qualitative with data sources in the form of pantun texts resulting from interviews with native Kuantan Singingi residents who understand the traditional procession. Data collection techniques were carried out through interviews, listening, and taking notes, while data analysis used Abdul Chaer's semantic theory which focuses on the relationship between language forms and denotative and connotative meanings. The results of the study show that there are 16 data in eight pantun stanzas consisting of 8 denotative meanings and 8 connotative meanings. This is because each stanza is composed of a sampiran and a fixed pattern of content, where the sampiran describes concrete things that have denotative meanings and the content contains traditional messages that have connotative meanings. This balance occurs because, in the Malay tradition, pantun serves as both a medium for conveying messages and a linguistic aesthetic that demands harmony between form and meaning. This uniqueness lies in the balance between literal and symbolic meaning in each verse of the pantun conferring the title of Datuk in Kuantan Singingi.
