Abstract

The investment problem that often arises in society is the rampant fraud with unrealistic profit promises. This condition causes financial and psychological losses for the community, especially vulnerable groups such as migrant workers. As part of the responsibility of universities in carrying out community service, financial literacy assistance activities are carried out to improve the understanding and skills of Indonesian migrant workers in Greece. The methods used were in the form of pre-test and post-test to measure the level of knowledge, attitude, and behavior of participants before and after mentoring. The results of the activity showed a significant increase in aspects of knowledge, skills, beliefs, as well as attitudes and behaviors related to financial management. Participants feel real benefits in the form of better ability to recognize investment risks, prepare financial planning, and avoid harmful investment practices. This positive impact emphasizes the importance of financial literacy as a provision for migrant workers in facing economic challenges abroad. Therefore, financial literacy assistance activities are expected to be carried out in a sustainable manner, so that migrant workers have stronger financial resilience, are able to manage income wisely, and avoid misleading investment practices.

Abstract

Based on observations, not all Master of Islamic Economics Postgraduate students at IAIN Tulungagung understand and understand the greatness of the Mendeley application, so that the scientific work produced does not meet the writing standards, especially related to references. This Mendeley Application Training not only facilitates researchers in compiling a scientific paper, but also facilitates researchers in accessing quality references. This community service activity in the form of Mendeley training is here to answer the problems and dynamics that develop in Islamic Economics Masters students in compiling scientific papers. The training was held for 2 days, namely Wednesday, December 16, 2020 (class A) and Thursday, December 17, 2020 (class B). The division in 2 days of implementation is to further intensify the activities, because the training is carried out both theoretically and practically. The training results are divided into 2 parameters, namely the pre-test and post-test parameters. In the pre-test aspect, it turns out that the majority of students do not have the competence to run Mendeley. The results of the post-test, after participating in the training, students are able to carry out and implement it in the preparation of Mendeley-based scientific papers.

Abstract

The proliferation of scams disguised as Multi-Level Marketing (MLM) in Indonesia has raised public doubts about the legitimacy of MLM practices, including Oriflame, from the perspective of Islamic law. This indicates the need for a deeper study to assess the compatibility of Oriflame's MLM business mechanism with maqasid al-syariah and Fatwa DSN MUI No. 75 of 2009. This article is composed using a qualitative approach involving in-depth interviews and observations. Based on the research conducted, the mechanism of Oriflame's MLM practice begins with registering as an Oriflame reseller, promoting Oriflame products through social media, recruiting members or resellers, and developing downlines through training and sales tools. Oriflame's MLM practice involves reseller registration, product promotion via social media, member recruitment, and downline development through training. This system is halal and compliant with Sharia because it fulfills the maqasid syariah (hifz ad-din, al-nafs, al-aql, al-nasl, al-mal). In accordance with MUI Fatwa No. 75/2009, it meets 12 Sharia requirements, including real sale objects, halal certification, transactions without fraud/fixed prices, commissions from real sales/recruitment without ighra'/coercion, unpaid recruitment, downline development, and not being a money game.

Abstract

Islamic university students today face serious challenges in the form of low learning independence. Many of them still depend on their lecturers' guidance, lack initiative in exploring knowledge, and are not yet fully capable of managing their own learning independently. This study aims to examine how the development of the MBKM curriculum in PTKI can enhance students' learning independence and support the realization of impactful campuses. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study design, conducted at Nahdlatul Ulama University Surabaya (UNUSA) and Yudharta University Pasuruan. Data collection techniques were carried out through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation, with data analysis using data condensation, data presentation, conclusion drawing, and verification. The research results show that the development of the MBKM curriculum at both universities encourages students to learn actively, independently, and reflectively through programs such as internships, entrepreneurship, teaching on campus, and community service. Independent learning is reflected in students' ability to manage the learning process, make decisions, and take responsibility for their learning achievements. In addition, Islamic values also frame this process, resulting in learners who are not only academically excellent but also ethical and contribute significantly to society. Thus, the contextually developed MBKM curriculum has proven to be an important instrument in shaping independent students while also realizing an impactful campus.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of corporate governance, including institutional ownership, managerial ownership, and independent commissioners, on the integrity of financial statements in transportation and logistics companies. The integrity of financial statements is an important aspect in maintaining stakeholder trust because it reflects the reliability and honesty of financial information presented by the company. This study uses a quantitative method with secondary data obtained from the annual financial statements of transportation and logistics companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the 2018-2020 period. The results show that managerial ownership and independent commissioners have a positive effect on the integrity of financial statements, while institutional ownership has no effect on the integrity of financial statements. These findings indicate that corporate governance mechanisms, particularly oversight by managerial investors and the role of independent commissioners, can improve the quality and integrity of a company's financial statements. This research is expected to contribute to the development of accounting literature and become a consideration for management and investors in decision-making.
