Abstract

Civilization is a complex structure of society characterized by urban development, social stratification applied by cultural elites, systems symbolic communication (eg, writing systems), and the perceived separation from and domination over the natural environment. Islamic civilization is a civilization that is built on basic Islamic aqidah, aims according to the purposes (maqashid) of sharia, and is realized by imitating the deeds (sunnah) of the Prophet Muhammad, his companions and the signs signs of halal and haram. Islam was at the pinnacle of civilization when the Khilafah system was still upright, despite the ups and downs. Based on Islamic ethics, In the case of virtue seeking new knowledge, it is achieved as a result of moderation of two extreme biases namely, avoiding acquiring new knowledge but remaining in a position of ignorance and playing an important role in pursuing ignorance. Thus, the ethics of Islamic knowledge, which is the application of science and technology science in Islam must be regulated, striving to free humans from these two negative tendencies. The core idea discussed in this paper is the science design used with special reference to Science and Technology. In the history of Islamic thought, this concept is articulated mainly in the background of cognitive psychology theory and Maqashid ash-sharia (a higher goal than Sharia) which is connected to the search for personal and social knowledge. Muslims are now able to pave the way for creating more advanced scientific and technological habits in twenty-first century Muslim societies.

Abstract

Smear-Negative Pulmonary Tuberculosis (SNPT) remains a major diagnostic challenge due to the low bacterial load that frequently causes false negative results in sputum microscopy. Chest X-ray imaging is commonly used as a complementary diagnostic tool however its interpretation relies heavily on expert radiologists and is prone to subjectivity. Recent developments in deep learning particularly object detection models provide promising opportunities to improve diagnostic accuracy. This study aims to develop and evaluate a deep learning based approach for SNPT detection in chest X-ray images using a Faster R-CNN model with a ResNet architecture. The proposed method applies data augmentation techniques including flipping rotation scaling and random brightness adjustment to enhance training data diversity and reduce overfitting. The model was implemented using PyTorch and evaluated using accuracy precision recall and F1 score. Experimental results indicate that data augmentation substantially improves performance achieving 76.60% accuracy and 68.57% F1 score compared to 53.06% accuracy and 51.06% F1 score without augmentation. Improved recall reflects higher sensitivity in detecting SNPT cases. These findings indicate that data augmentation enhances the robustness and generalization of Faster R-CNN models for SNPT detection and supports the potential of AI assisted diagnostic systems in tuberculosis screening programs.

Abstract

The absence of formal financial identity remains a significant barrier to financial inclusion in developing nations, limiting access to essential financial services. Traditional centralized identity systems are often vulnerable to data breaches, fraud, and institutional control, resulting in low public trust. This study aims to explore how blockchain-based identity systems, particularly through the concept of Self-Sovereign Identity (SSI), can address these limitations. The research adopts a qualitative case study approach by analyzing multiple blockchain-based digital identity initiatives across developing regions. The findings reveal that blockchain-enabled SSI enhances data security, transparency, and user autonomy, while improving accessibility to financial services. The key contribution of this study lies in identifying the integration of decentralized identity frameworks as a sustainable solution to strengthen financial inclusion and institutional trust. However, challenges such as infrastructure limitations, scalability issues, and regulatory uncertainty remain critical barriers. This study provides both theoretical insights and practical implications for policymakers, developers, and financial institutions in implementing secure and inclusive digital identity systems.

Abstract

This study explores predictive risk management in green technology investments by leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI) to address uncertainties associated with sustainable projects. As global financial institutions and governments increasingly allocate capital toward renewable energy, smart infrastructure, and low-carbon innovation, investors face multidimensional risks, including market volatility, technological failure, and regulatory change. Therefore, this research aims to develop an AI-driven predictive framework capable of identifying, analyzing, and forecasting potential investment risks in green technology portfolios to support informed decision-making. The study employs a quantitative approach using machine learning algorithms, including Random Forest, Gradient Boosting, and Neural Networks, trained on historical financial indicators, environmental performance metrics, and policy datasets. Each algorithm is selected based on its strengths: Random Forest for robustness, Gradient Boosting for predictive accuracy, and Neural Networks for capturing complex nonlinear relationships. A comparative perspective is used to highlight their tradeoffs, followed by feature importance analysis and predictive validation through cross-validation and evaluation metrics such as accuracy, precision, and RMSE. The findings show that the proposed model improves early risk detection compared to conventional statistical models, highlighting the effectiveness of machine learning in handling complex sustainability data. Furthermore, it identifies key risk determinants and enhances predictive reliability. Consequently, integrating AI-based predictive analytics into green investment strategies can strengthen risk mitigation, improve investor confidence, and support sustainable financial decision-making.

Abstract

Calculus-based creativepreneurship is an innovative approach aimed at enhancing the competitiveness of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) by applying mathematical concepts in business strategies. In the midst of the creative economy and digital transformation, MSMEs face challenges related to product innovation, financial management, and optimal use of digital technology. Limited access to data-driven training and quantitative analysis skills hinders effective and measurable business decision-making. This community service activity aims to bridge the gap between academic theory and field practice by integrating calculus concepts into MSME business decision-making processes. The program was conducted as part of the Raharja Enrichment Program (REP), which adopts the Outcome-Based Education (OBE) approach to provide practical, hands-on learning experiences. The method involved direct consultation with MSME actors. Students conducted observations, problem identification, and data analysis to apply calculus in calculating production costs, setting selling prices, break-even analysis and profit projections. Additionally, students used basic software tools to simulate cost and revenue scenarios and their impact on profit margins, making the learning experience more contextual and practical. The results show that the application of calculus supports MSMEs in improving operational efficiency, developing product innovation, and implementing more systematic, data driven financial strategies. Several partner MSMEs began adopting periodic performance evaluations using function graphs and rates of change. The integration of calculus in the development of creativepreneurship through REP provides dual benefits empowering MSMEs and enhancing student competencies. This model represents a strategic step toward building creative, data-based business solutions and can be replicated across various business sectors in the digital era.
