Abstract

This research is background by a low mathematical ability of students’ reasoning and learning activities in mathematics. Therefore, the aim of this research is to increase students’ reasoning and learning activities with the implementation of problem solving learning model. Type of research is classroom action research which have a cycle model consist of four components, namely planning, action, observation and reflection. This research conducted in two cycles that consisting of four meetings. At each cycle student activities during the learning process were observed, and at the end of each cycle a test of learning outcomes was given. The research is carried out with 30 fifth grade students from a public elementary school in semester 2 of the 2019/2020 school year. The instruments used were observation, and field notes, interviews and test results. The data obtained in the research were analyzed using qualitative analysis, analyzing the collection of data until all data has been collected. The data is reduced based on the problem under study, followed by the presentation of the data and finally the conclusion or verification. The results show that fifth grade students’ mathematicalreasoning and learning activities increase after the implementation of problem solving learning model.

Abstract

The main objective of this study is to identify the impact of Team Assisted Individualization models on the academic results of primary school students on the topic "environment is our best friend." The above research was quantitative and employs a quasi-experimental situation design. The design of a non-equivalent Control Group is being used in the study. The grouping sampling method had been used to sample the population, which was composed of 3 SD in Cluster I, Kec. IV, Jurai. The study was undertaken at Class VA had 16 students in it as an experiment group and Class VB had 15 students in it as a control group. Preconditioned test results in the form of normality, homogeneity tests, and hypothetical tests using the t-test were also used to analyze the data for this research. The experimental class's pre-test average was 46,25, and the post- test average was 80,5 after implementing the Team Assisted Individualization learning models. Meanwhile, after being taught using the traditional approach of 64,13, the control class received an average of 49,06 There is a pre-test and a post-test. Then there's the t- test both had a significant level of 0,05. This ttable = 2,045 > tcount = 3,605. It can be concluded that the Team Assisted Individualization model has an impact on students' learning outcomes when it comes to the topic "environment is our best friend.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan peningkatan motivasi belajar peserta didik dalam pembelajaran pendidikan pancasila dengan menggunakan model team games tournament di kelas V SD Negeri 21 pilubang kabupaten agam. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan sebanyak dua siklus, dengan prosedur penelitian terdiri dari perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Dilaksanakan dalam 2 siklus yaitu Siklus I terdiri 2 pertemuan dan Siklus II terdiri dari 1 pertemuan. Subjek penelitian ini adalah guru kelas sebagai pengamat atau observer, peneliti sebagai praktisi atau guru, dan peserta didik kelas V SD Negeri 21 Pilubang Kabupaten Agam yang berjumlah 23 orang. Hasil penelitian menunjukan pada siklus 1 motivasi belajar peserta didik 85% meningkat pada siklus 2 menjadi 91,5%. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa model Team Games Tournamnet (TGT) dapat menumbuhkan motivasi belajar peserta didik pada pembelajaran Pendidikan Pancasila di kelas V SD Negeri 21 Pilubang Kabupaten Agam.

Abstract

The background of this research is the lack of fifth students’ learning activities and critical thinking skills of science learning. This study aims to discuss and obtain data about the improvement of students’ learning activities and critical thinking skills in science learning with a problem-based learning (PBL) approach in grade 4 in a public elementary school in Suliki District. This type of research is classroom action research consisting of four stages, namely planning, action, observation, and reflection. This research consists of two cycles and the subjects in this study were 21 fifth grade students, consisting of 11 boys and 10 girls in 2016/2017 academic year. Data collection techniques used were observation sheets and tests. The data were analyzed using percentages and data reduction. The results showed that the implementation of problem-based learning (PBL) approach increased students’ learning activities and critical thinking skills in science learning which was marked by an increase of an average student's critical thinking ability from 69 in cycle I to 81 in cycle II.

Abstract

The development of science and technology has led to numerous changes in the world of education. Higher education, as one of the professional institutions, is obliged to determine the methods, teaching systems, and evaluation of policies that have been enacted. The study aims to describe the urgency and responses of PGSD students to the development of communication skills-based modules for PGSD students. The type of data obtained from qualitative and quantitative data, as reflected in the results of questionnaires distributed at two universities in Padang city. Based on the results of the questionnaire, it was found that on average, PGSD students agreed on the use of modules based on communication skills. The dominant module procurement is more likely to use printed modules. The availability of modules is expected to enable students to learn independently, explore and evaluate their abilities, increase their interests and creativity, develop critical thinking skills, and communicate orally and in writing.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to develop Canva-based video learning media for learning. This research is a research development study or Research and Development (R&D) using the ADDIE model which consists of five stages: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. After analyzing the facilities and infrastructure, curriculum, needs, and materials, the researcher designed Canva-based video learning media, which was then validated by material experts, language experts, and media experts. The results showed that the Canva-based learning video media is very valid with a score of 96% by material experts, 98% by language experts, and 91% by media experts, with an average validity of 95%. The practicality test results showed that the learning video media is very practical with a score of 96% by teachers and 93% by students at SD N 02 Pasaman, as well as 93% by teachers and 92% by students at SD N 09 Pasaman. The effectiveness test results showed that the learning video media is very effective to use at SDN 02 Pasaman with an N-Gain score of 86% (high) and at SDN 09 Pasaman with an N-Gain score of 80% (high). Therefore, the Canva-based learning video media is stated to be valid, practical, and effective for use in Pancasila education learning in the fourth-grade elementary school.

Abstract

Low learning motivation among elementary school students remains a major challenge in science education. This study aimed to investigate the effect of using ice breaking activities on students’ learning motivation in science classes. A quasi-experimental design was employed with two groups of fifth-grade students in an elementary school in West Sumatra, Indonesia. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using the Paired Sample t-test. The findings revealed that the average motivation score of the experimental group increased from 49.84 (pre-test) to 82.63 (post-test), while the control group showed a smaller improvement. The t-test result (t = 3.84, p < 0.05) indicated a significant effect of ice breaking on students’ learning motivation. These findings suggest that incorporating ice breaking techniques can enhance students’ engagement and focus during science learning, making lessons more dynamic and enjoyable. Future research may explore different types of ice breaking activities and their impact on other cognitive or affective learning outcomes.

Abstract

Background: Hyperthermia is a primary symptom found in all DHF patients. The duration of hyperthermia before treatment ranges from 2-7 days. Hyperthermia can be managed through non-pharmacological approaches, one of which is Water Tepid Sponge. Therefore, hyperthermia can be treated appropriately using comprehensive nursing care to lower the temperature to normal. Purpose: To provide nursing care to a client with dengue hemorrhagic fever who has hyperthermia, using the water tepid sponge technique. Method: This study used a descriptive research design with a case study design. The subjects were two individuals experiencing hyperthermia. This study was conducted in January 2025. The water temperature used in the compresses was between 350-370C, or lukewarm, and can be performed in approximately 15-20 minutes per session. Results: The author implemented water tepid sponge nursing care for three days in a patient with dengue hemorrhagic fever. The hyperthermia problems of both clients were resolved, as evidenced by Mrs. H and Mrs. S's body temperature was normal and the client was cooperative during both procedures. Conclusion: The application of water tepid sponges was effective in reducing hyperthermia in patients with dengue hemorrhagic fever.   Keywords: Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF); Hyperthermia; Water Tepid Sponge.   Pendahuluan: Hipertermia sebagai gejala utama terdapat pada semua penderita DHF. Lama hipertermia sebelum dirawat berkisar antara 2-7 hari. Mengatasi hipertermia melalui non farmakologi yang salah satunya adalah Water Tepid Sponge. Sehingga masalah hipertermi mendapat intervensi yang tepat dengan menggunakan asuhan keperawatan yang lengkap untuk menurunkan suhu menjadi normal. Tujuan: Untuk melakukan asuhan keperawatan pada klien dengue hemorrhagic fever dengan masalah keperawatan hipertermia dengan penerapan teknik water tepid sponge. Metode: Penelitian menggunakan desain penelitian deskriptif dengan rancangan studi kasus. Subjek yang digunakan 2 orang yang mengalami masalah keperawatan hipertermia. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada bulan Januari 2025. Suhu untuk air yang digunakan dalam kompres antara 350 -370C atau hangat hangat kuku, untuk pelaksanaannya dapat dilakukan dalam waktu sekitar 15-20 menit dalam 1 kali pelaksanaan. Hasil: Pengelolaan keperawatan hipertermia dengan  penerapan  tindakan  keperawatan water tepid sponge yang  penulis  lakukan  selama  3  hari  pada pasien dengue hemorrhagic fever.  Permasalah hipertermia kedua  klien  teratasi  semua  dibuktikan  dengan klien  Ny.H dan Ny. S suhu tubuhnya normal dan selama tindakan kedua klien kooperatif. Simpulan: Terdapat pengaruh penerapan water tepid sponge untuk mengurangi hipertermia pada pasien dengue hemorrhagic fever.   Kata Kunci: Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF); Hipertermia; Water Tepid Sponge.

Abstract

Integrated thematic learning is learning that can combine existing concepts in learning. In learning in elementary schools there are several obstacles in the teacher's understanding regarding the appropriate and various learning models used. As a result, learning becomes less interesting, students have difficulty understanding the material, learning outcomes are low, and learning has no meaning for students. Teachers' lack of understanding of appropriate and varied learning models in the learning process is the main problem at this time. One learning model that can be applied to overcome this problem is the learning modelconnectedThe method used in this research is library research, where data collection is carried out by collecting some research on the implementation of learning models.connected in integrated thematic learning. From some of the research that has been collected, it can be concluded that there is a significant increase in student learning outcomes by applying or implementing learning modelsconnected in learning especially in integrated thematic learning. This is due to the learning modelconnected it integrates various fields of science so that it makes it easier for students to understand the objectives and learning materials. Understanding the learning modelconnected must be understood by every teacher because it is one of the reference learning models in integrated thematic learning.

Abstract

Implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka menuntut perubahan pembelajaran di sekolah dasar agar menjadi lebih relevan dan interaktif. Sayangnya, masih banyak guru yang bergantung pada pembelajaran berbasis buku teks dan LKPD, tanpa menggunakan media yang dapat menggugah motivasi belajar peserta didik. Penelitian ini ditujukan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran interaktif berbasis Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) yang valid dan praktis. Jenis penelitian ini adalah pengembangan (R&D) dengan menggunakan model ADDIE. Total 79 siswa dari 3 sekolah dasar di Kota Padang menjadi subjek penelitian. Instrumen pengumpulan data yang digunakan mencakup observasi, wawancara dan kuisioner. Penelitian ini menghasilkan media pembelajaran interaktif berbasis RME untuk Kurikulum Merdeka yang sangat valid dan sangat praktis untuk digunakan pada kegiatan pembelajaran di kelas. The implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum demands a change in elementary school education to make it more relevant and interactive. Unfortunately, many teachers still rely on textbook-based learning and student worksheets (LKPD), without using media that can stimulate students' motivation to learn. This research aims to develop interactive learning media based on Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) that are valid and practical. This type of research is Research and Development (R&D) using the ADDIE model. A total of 79 students from 3 elementary schools in the city of Padang were the research subjects. Data collection instruments used include observations, interviews, and questionnaires. This study resulted in interactive RME-based learning media for the Merdeka Curriculum that are highly valid and highly practical for use in classroom learning activities.
