. Avocado seeds are one of the plants used as a medicine for diabetes mellitus with the Latin name (Persea americana Mill.). Avocado seeds contain compounds such as alkaloids, flavonoids, saponins, tannins and triterpenoids which are beneficial for health. This study aims to determine the effect of avocado seed extract (Persea americana Mill.) on the growth of Staphylococcus aureus bacteria in diabetic wounds using the disc diffusion method. The extraction process is by maceration using 96% ethanol. The treatment was repeated 4 times with extract concentrations of 25%, 50%, 75%, 100%, as a positive control Ciprofloxacin and DMSO (Dimetyl Sulfoxide) as a negative control. The results of phytochemical screening show that avocado seeds contain alkaloids, flavonoids, saponins, tannins and triterpenoids. Based on the results of research conducted, avocado seed extract can inhibit the growth of Staphylococcus aureus bacteria as an inhibition zone is formed. The most effective concentration in inhibiting the growth of Staphylococcus aureus bacteria is at 100% concentration of 10.14 mm.

This research was conducted to determine the dimensions and indicators needed to assess the performance of pharmacy officers, determine the weight of each dimension and indicator using the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method and carry out performance assessments using the rating scale method. This type of research is quantitative descriptive research. The population in this study were 21 pharmacy officers who distributed medicine at Hermina Hospital in Medan. The sample used in this study used total sampling where the number of samples was the same as the population, so that the sample used was 21 pharmacy officers who distributed medicine at Hermina Hospital in Medan. The research results show that the factors used in assessing the performance of pharmacists when distributing medicine at Hermina Hospital in Medan in 2023 are work quality, presence, attitude, initiative, honesty and cooperation. The results of the performance assessment using the AHP method where the performance of pharmacy officers when distributing medicines at Hermina Hospital in Medan in 2023 were 4 people in the very good criteria, 5 people in the good criteria, 12 people in the medium criteria. In calculating the performance assessment of officers when distributing medicines using the rating scale method at Hermina Hospital in Medan in 2023, the priority work required when distributing medicines at Hermina Hospital in Medan in 2023 is collaboration and data results carried out by researchers which have the lowest influence on performance assessment. pharmacy officers during drug distribution at Hermina Hospital in Medan in 2023, namely the respondent's initiative.

Resilience and Parenting Stress in Mothers who have Children with Mental Retardation during the COVID-19 Pandemic Indriasari, Fika Nur

The mental health of parents who have children with special needs at the time of the covid-19 pandemic needs attention. Social restrictions that must be done trigger increased stress parenting in mothers who have children with mental retardation. Children become vulnerable to violent behavior from the surrounding environment as a result of lack of parental knowledge in understanding their child's growth and development. Mothers have more roles, not only as caregivers but also as therapists and educators who replace teachers in schools. The level of maternal resilience affects how good coping management so that it can overcome the stressors experienced. The purpose of this study was to find out the effects of resilience and stress parenting experienced by mothers who have children with mental retardation during the covid-19 pandemic. The research design used is cross sectional. The population in this study was a mother who had a child of mental retardation and attended special school Pembina Yogyakarta, Indonesia. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling. The results showed that the value of p value 0.001 < 0.05 which means there is an influence on resilience levels with parenting stress experienced by mothers who have children mentally retarded during the covid-19 pandemic. Maternal stress parenting levels fall into the low category but maternal resilience is in the moderate category

Based on two factors, these are philosophical and legal aspect. In terms of the function of law, the existence of the Regional Councilor (DPD) and Legislative Assembly (DPR) can be established. Based on a provision in the 1945 Constitution, the Regional Councilor (DPD) and Legislative Assembly (DPR) were established, and, according to one philosophical definition, they represent all regional or people's representatives in Indonesia at the national scale. A system of functional industrial relations exists between the Regional Councilor (DPD) and Legislative Assembly (DPR) in relation to the function of legislation. The objective of this research are to find out the role of Regional Councilor (DPD) perform in the legislative functions; and Legislative Assembly (DPR) represent in obtaining legal products. The research that was accomplished was categorized as qualitative normative research based on the kind of data or legal materials examined. Due to institutional and constitutional limitations, the Regional Councilor (DPD) and Legislative Assembly (DPR) faced difficulties as a result of legal responsibilities. Institutional constraints are limitations imposed by the institution itself, such as insufficient support systems, unsuccessful legislation, and ineffective session management techniques. The Regional Councilor (DPD)'s current rules, Article 22D, paragraphs 1 and 2, and Law No. 27/2009 on MD3 are among the challenges we must overcome. These laws attempt to undermine the legislative authority of the Regional Councilor (DPD).

Latar Belakang: Kondisi penyakit kulit merupakan masalah kesehatan masyarakat di seluruh dunia. Penyakit ini tidak dianggap penting hingga saat ini sehingga banyak orang percaya bahwa penyakit kulit tidak berbahaya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan kebersihan diri dan sanitasi lingkungan dengan keluhan penyakit kulit. Metode: Desain penelitian yang digunakan berupa crossectional. Penelitian ini dilakukan di UPT Puskesmas Pekan Tolan Kecamatan Kota Rakyat Kabupaten Labuhan Selatan Tahun 2024. Waktu penelitian dimulai dari bulan Januari–April 2024. Subyek penelitian ini adalah seluruh pasien yang berobat di Puskesmas UPT Puskesmas Pekan Tolan Kecamatan Kota Rakyat Kabupaten Labuhan Selatan Tahun 2023 sebanyak 981 orang. Besar sampel penelitian sebanyak 100 orang dengan teknik simple random sampling. Data dianalisis dengan uji uji Chi Square. Hasil: Hasil penelitian melaporkan bahwa sebanyak 70% responden memiliki personal hygiene yang buruk, 68% responden dengan sanitasi lingkungan yang tidak memenuhi syarat. Kebersihan diri dan sanitasi lingkungan signifikan terhadap keluhan penyakit kulit. Kesimpulan: Kebersihan diri yang buruk dan sanitasi lingkungan yang tidak memenuhi syarat signifikan terhadap keluhan penyakit kulit.

Background: The complete treatment of chronic wounds remains a significant unmet medical need. To expedite the healing of chronic wounds, numerous studies have begun to utilize gels, including hydrogels or sol-gels, which incorporate a combination of antioxidant properties. Curcuma xanthorrhiza is known to contain polyphenolic compounds, which include flavonoids acting as an antioxidant. Purpose: Examine the potential of C. xanthorrhiza extract (CXE) gel as a candidate for wound-healing by measuring its antioxidant activity. Method: Three CXE gel formulas were prepared from different concentrations of CMC-Na (3, 4, and 5%). Each formula consisted of 5% CXE, 15% propylene Glycol, 10% Glycerin, 0.25% Methylparaben, and distilled water. The quality of the CXE gel was tested through homogeneity, spreadability, pH, and viscosity tests. The antioxidant activity was measured by 2,2-Diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazil (DPPH) and 2,2'-azino-bis (3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulfonic acid) (ABTS)-reducing activity assay in a gel formula that was close the standards. The measurement results were then used in the calculation of antioxidant activity to determine the IC50 value. Result: Formulas 1, 2, and 3 meet the requirements by yielding a homogeneous gel with a spreadability of 5.37 – 5.93 cm, a pH level of 5.87 – 6.10, and a viscosity of 8.800 – 9296.67 cps. The highest DPPH and ABTS percentages were 34.04% and 5.28%, respectively. The IC50 values of CXE gel in DPPH and ABTS were 1973.38 Î¼g/mL and 700.65 Î¼g/mL, respectively. Conclusion: The CXE 1, 2, and 3 gel formula meets the requirements and has the potential to be used as a wound healing therapy through its antioxidant properties.

The fashion industry in Indonesia continues to proliferate and can compete with imported products. One of them is a local shoe brand that is increasingly in demand by consumers. In business, product quality, marketing strategy, and price strongly appeal to consumers. The goal of this research is to test the impact of product quality, digital marketing, and price on purchasing decisions for Ventela shoes in the Jabodetabek area. By using a purposive sampling technique, the sample in this research was 210 respondents from Generation Z who were Ventela shoe users or had used Ventela shoes. The questionnaire was distributed via a Google form. Multiple linear regression was employed to analyze the model. The study's results document that product quality has a positive and significant effect on purchasing decisions. Digital marketing shows a positive and significant effect on purchasing decisions. Additionally, price has a positive and significant effect on purchasing decisions. The results of this study have implications for the Ventela shoe company, which needs to pay attention to product quality, product marketing strategies, and price so that consumer satisfaction is achieved and they recommend Ventela shoes to others. Abstrak Industri fashion di Indonesia terus berkembang pesat dan mampu bersaing dengan produk impor. Salah satunya adalah brand sepatu lokal yang semakin banyak diminati konsumen. Dalam bisnis, kualitas produk, strategi pemasaran, dan harga memiliki daya tarik yang kuat bagi konsumen. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menguji dampak kualitas produk, pemasaran digital, dan harga pada keputusan pembelian sepatu Ventela di wilayah Jabodetabek. Dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling, sampel dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 210 responden dari generasi Z pengguna sepatu Ventela atau pernah menggunakan sepatu Ventela. Kuesioner disebarkan melalui Google form. Regresi linear berganda digunakan untuk mengalisis model. Hasil penelitian mendokumentasikan bahwa kualitas produk mempunyai pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap keputusan pembelian. Pemasaran digital menunjukkan pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap keputusan pembelian. Selain itu, harga berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap keputusan pembelian. Hasil penelitian ini berimplikasi pada perusahaan sepatu Ventela untuk terus meningkatkan kualitas produk, strategi pemasaran produk, dan harga agar kepuasan konsumen tercapai dan mereka merekomendasikan sepatu Ventela kepada pihak lain. Health, as a human right, requires fair, equitable, and quality services for the entire community. The Indonesian government is committed to improving health by providing facilities, including hospitals. The Health Law emphasizes the right of every individual to access safe and affordable health care. Hospitals play a strategic role in improving public health, but have evolved into "business" institutions with a more focused approach. Modern healthcare requires a new paradigm, with hospitals actively engaged in marketing communication and promotion. Integrated Marketing Communication (IMC) becomes a crucial approach to achieving promotional goals and enhancing the hospital's publicity. Patient visit data at RS Efarina Etaham Berastagi for the period 2019-2021 shows fluctuations influenced by factors such as the COVID-19 pandemic. This study proposes the implementation of IMC at RS Efarina Etaham Berastagi, considering the characteristics of internal and external informants. The research method used is qualitative descriptive, combining in-depth interviews, observations, and secondary data analysis. The results indicate that RS Efarina Etaham Berastagi has implemented some elements of IMC, but there are still internal and external challenges to overcome. By strengthening IMC strategies, it is expected that RS Efarina Etaham Berastagi can be more effective in reaching the community, building a positive image, and increasing the number of inpatient visits. This research provides insights for hospital management and stakeholders to optimize marketing strategies to achieve better public health goals.

ABSTRACTThis research aims to understand the role of a fisher group as learning class, cooperation media, production units, and business units in the development of fisheries in Sadeng Coast. The survey was conducted in March-June 2014. Selected fisher group was Kelompok Nelayan Tangkap Mina Raharjo, as the main group of fisher in Sadeng. Responden with amount of 30 fishers were taken randomly as the samples. The research results showed that fisher group has been performing its good role as learning class and cooperation media, less role as a production units, and lack of role as a bussines unit. The existence of fisher group raises knowledge-skills, access to productive resources, and information related to capital, market, technology and network to its members, and finally triger positive impact on the rising of fisheries productivity. New goverment initiative on the promotion of collective-based business (Kelompok Usaha Bersama or KUB) through its program so-called Fisheries for Rural Business Development Program (Pengembangan Usaha Mina Pedesaan or PUMP) lead fisher group, Kelompok Nelayan Tangkap Mina Raharjo, informally act as the coordinator group. This research also showed that the ability of fishers to organized theirself at a certain level indicate the independence and self-supported of fisher community. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada Maret – Juni 2014 dengan menggunakan metode survei. Penentuan kelompok nelayan dilakukan secara purposive yaitu Kelompok Nelayan Tangkap Mina Raharjo sebagai kelompok induk nelayan di Pantai Sadeng. Jumlah sampel sebanyak 30 orang responden yang dipilih secara acak. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan secara umum kelompok nelayan telah menjalankan perannya sebagai kelas belajar dan wahana kerjasama dengan baik, sebagai unit produksi dengan cukup baik, dan sebagai unit usaha dinilai kurang baik. Keberadaan kelompok berimplikasi pada meningkatnya pengetahuan-keterampilan, akses terhadap sumber-sumber produktif dan informasi terkait dengan modal, pasar, teknologi ataupun jaringan bagi anggota, yang kemudian berdampak positif terhadap produktivitas usaha perikanan. Tumbuhnya Kelompok Usaha Bersama (KUB) akibat adanya Program Pengembangan Usaha Mina Pedesaan (PUMP) menyebabkan Kelompok Nelayan Tangkap Mina Raharjo secara informal berperan sebagai kelompok induk. Peran kelompok nelayan yang utama saat ini adalah sebagai rukun nelayan. Penelitian ini juga menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan nelayan mengorganisasikan diri pada taraf tertentu menunjukkan karakter kemandirian dan keswadayaan komunitas nelayan. Dengan demikian, kelompok nelayan dapat menjadi refrensi model pembangunan di pedesaan, khususnya pada wilayah pesisir.Kata kunci: Nelayan, Kelompok, Gunungkidul, Pembangunan Pedesaan

Background: The excessive use of chemotherapy drugs such as doxorubicin might induce cardiovascular diseases. Heart-specific biomarker enzymes such as LDH and BNP indicated the early signs of cardiotoxicity. However, there is no report on the effect of bay leaf on LDH and BNP nor its bioactive compounds and histopathology analysis.Objective: This study aims to determine the cardioprotective effect of Ethanol Extract of Bay Leaf (EEBL) based on phytochemical analysis, LDH and BNP levels, and cardiac histology of rats administered with doxorubicin.Methods: About 24 Wistar rats were divided into six groups treated with 100 mg/kg BW, 300 mg/kg BW, and 500 mg/kg BW of EEBL with CMC-Na 0.5 %, vitamin E, and doxorubicin. Preconditioning was 14 days, followed by 21 days of intraperitoneal administration. LDH and BNP parameters were measured on days 1st, 7th, 14th, and 20th. Histology analysis was conducted on day 21st.Results: Dark green EEBL showed sufficient physical quality and properties for practical application in pharmacy. EEBL has significantly affected LDH, BNP, and cardio recovery dose-dependent. The most effective doses were observed at 500 mg/kg BW, and its performance is not statistically different from those of the commercial vitamin E. The histopathological images revealed significant improvements in interstitial edema, wavy fibers, hemorrhage, intracellular vacuole, and inflammatory cell infiltration. Here we report six bioactive compounds obtained from EEBL have cardioprotective effects; Neophytadiene, squalane, phytol, methyl palmitate, stigmasterol, and 9,12-Octadecanoic acid methyl ester.Conclusion: This study has shown the promising potential of bay leaf extract as a cardioprotector with sufficient quality pharmacological standards.
