Abstract

Posyandu plays a strategic role as the frontline of primary health care in Indonesia, particularly in providing promotive and preventive services throughout the life cycle, including during the toddler years, which are a critical period for child growth and development. This community service activity aims to enhance the knowledge and skills of Posyandu cadres in implementing Brain gym stimulation as an early intervention to support the motor and cognitive development of toddlers. The methods used include socialization and training in Brain gym through interactive counseling, screening of tutorial videos, and hands-on practice by 30 cadres from 27 Posyandus in the working area of the Labuhan Ratu Raya Health Center, conducted over two days. Evaluation results showed a significant increase in cadres' knowledge and skill scores, with an average pretest score of 60 and an increase to 72 on the posttest. These findings indicate that Brain gym training is effective in enhancing cadres' capacity to provide developmental stimulation for infants at the primary care level. This intervention is expected to strengthen the role of posyandu in supporting optimal child development and supporting community-based health service transformation. ABSTRAK Posyandu memiliki peran strategis sebagai ujung tombak pelayanan kesehatan primer di Indonesia, khususnya dalam memberikan layanan promotif dan preventif sepanjang siklus kehidupan, termasuk pada masa balita yang merupakan periode penting dalam tumbuh kembang anak. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan kader posyandu dalam menerapkan stimulasi brain gym sebagai salah satu bentuk intervensi dini yang mendukung perkembangan motorik dan kognitif balita. Metode yang digunakan meliputi sosialisasi dan pelatihan brain gym melalui penyuluhan interaktif, pemutaran video tutorial, serta praktik langsung oleh 30 kader dari 27 posyandu di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Labuhan Ratu Raya, yang dilaksanakan selama dua hari. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan pada skor pengetahuan dan keterampilan kader, dengan rerata skor pretest sebesar 60 dan meningkat menjadi 72 pada posttest. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan brain gym efektif dalam meningkatkan kapasitas kader dalam memberikan stimulasi perkembangan bagi balita di tingkat layanan primer. Intervensi ini diharapkan dapat memperkuat peran posyandu dalam mendukung optimalisasi tumbuh kembang anak serta mendukung transformasi layanan kesehatan berbasis masyarakat.

Abstract

Antiseptik merupakan suatu zat yang digunakan untuk membunuh atau menghambat pertumbuhan mikroorganisme (bakteri, virus, dan jamur) pada jaringan hidup tanpa menyebabkan luka pada permukaan tubuh atau jaringan hidup tersebut. Salah satu bahan antiseptik adalah hand sanitizer berupa gel yang sering digunakan banyak orang sebagai media pencuci tangan yang praktis. Kondisi pandemi Covid-19 menyebabkan ketersediaan produk antiseptik menjadi barang langka dan harganya cenderung lebih mahal dari biasanya. Hal ini terjadi karena meningkatnya pembelian oleh masyarakat, sedangkan ketersediannya terbatas. Selain itu, masyarakat semakin sulit untuk membeli antiseptik karena harga antiseptik yang tinggi sehingga kebutuhan untuk menjaga salah satu protokol kesehatan tidak terpenuhi. Oleh karena itu, dibutuhkan antiseptik alternatif lain yang mudah untuk dibuat dengan memanfaatkan tumbuhan herbal seperti daun sirih. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilaksanakan di Desa Blang Gurah, Kecamatan Kuta Makmur, Kabupaten Aceh Utara. Kegiatan ini berupa penyuluhan pembuatan antiseptik dengan memanfaatkan tumbuhan herbal yang ada disekitar kita. Kegiatan penyuluhan ini dapat memberikan edukasi kepada masyarakat sehingga meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan masyarakat tentang cara pembuatan antiseptik dari bahan herbal. Selain itu, melalui kegiatan ini juga dapat mengurangi biaya pengeluaran tambahan untuk pembelian produk antiseptik dalam menanggulangi penyebaran Covid-19.

Abstract

Cattle are an essential source of animal food globally, and each country possesses unique endemic cattle races. However, categorizing cattle, especially in countries like Indonesia with a large cattle population, presents challenges due to costs and subjectivity when using human experts. This research utilizes Computer Vision (CV) for image data classification to address this urgent need for automatic categorization. The main objective of this study is to develop a mobile-friendly model using CV techniques that can accurately detect and classify Indonesian endemic cattle races, such as Limosin, Madura, Pegon, and Simental. To achieve this, an object localization approach is employed to extract multiple features from distinct regions of each cattle image, including the head, ear, horn, and muzzle areas. The authors evaluate two CV algorithms, ResNet50 and MobileNetV2, to assess their performance in cattle race classification. The dataset used is facial photos of 147 cows. The results indicate that ResNet50 outperforms MobileNetV2, achieving a training data accuracy of 83.33% compared to MobileNetV2's 77.08%. Moreover, the validation accuracy of ResNet50 (76.92%) significantly surpasses MobileNetV2's (38.46%). The novel contribution of this research lies in developing a cost-effective and efficient solution for identifying endemic cattle breeds in Indonesia. The mobile-friendly model based on ResNet50 demonstrates superior accuracy, enabling cattle farmers and researchers to categorize cattle races with higher precision, reducing manual effort, and minimizing costs. In conclusion, this research provides a valuable advancement in automatic cattle categorization using CV techniques. By offering a practical and accurate model that considers Indonesia's specific cattle breeding conditions, this study contributes to the sustainable management and conservation of endemic cattle races while enhancing the efficiency of cattle farming practices.

Abstract

This research aims to know about the effectiveness of teaching the skill of speech for students of the Department of Teaching Arabic Language at the Islamic State University Kerinci on the basis of the method of questions and answers. Traditional understanding in the process of teaching speaking skills has had a negative impact on students majoring. Problematika felt is the student's disinterest in studying it so many of them do not follow the learning. The study used experimental and quantitative shorts in analyzing data on the effectiveness of speaking skills learning for Arabic Language Education Students at Kerinci Islamic State University based on question and answer methods. The tools in data collection are: tribal testing and dimension testing. Researchers set tribal tests and dimensions during the search. To analyze the level of differences generated between tribal test results and dimension tests, researchers tested t-tests. The results of the study: after performing the calculation of the last results, there was a clear difference between the tribal test results and the dimensions of the experimental group. This means that the application or use of question and answer methods for Arabic Language Education Students at Islamic State University in Kerinci is effective. as evidenced in the following points: 1) It is clear from the tribal test results in the experimental group that they received a level of 42.5, which means that the student's ability in skills 2) It is clear from the dimensional test results in the trial group that the students received an average of 74.58, which means that the student's ability in speaking skills is good.

Abstract

The study aimed to explain the application of the Direct Method in Nahwu learning at the State University of Malang. It analyzed the supporting and inhibiting factors of the Direct Method in Nahwu learning at the State University of Malang and described student applications in Nahwu learning at the State University of Malang. This study used a descriptive design with a quantitative and qualitative approach to describe the application, supporting, and inhibiting factors of the Direct Method in Nahwu learning. The population in this study was the entire 5th-semester academic community (lecturers and students) of the Arabic language education study program, Faculty of Letters, State University of Malang. The sample in this study was selected using Purposive Sampling, with specific criteria for sampling. The model in this study was a student of the class of 2021 Arabic language education study program, Faculty of Letters, State University of Malang, who was taking the application Nahwu Tsanawi course. This lecturer taught the application Nahwu Tsanawi course. The results of this study showed that: 1) Student interest in learning Nahwu in the Arabic study program at the State University of Malang increased with the learning steps applied by lecturers, such as the delivery of themes, objectives, and learning materials by linking the new material to the previous material; 2) the innovation of the Direct Method used by teachers in Nahwu learning had a positive impact on students' understanding of Nahwu; 3) the use of the Direct Method in Nahwu learning was categorized as good, evidenced by the percentage of success reaching an average score of 83.3%; 4) the use of learning media by lecturers in Nahwu learning at the Arabic Language Education study program, State University of Malang, increased student interest in learning Nahwu. Based on the findings above, it is concluded that the innovation of the direct Method has a positive impact on students in learning Nahwu in the Arabic Language Study Program State University of Malang.

Abstract

Penguasaan Bahasa Inggris merupakan salah satu hal yang sangat penting di era global dewasa ini.  Kemampuan berbahasa Inggris yang baik akan menjadi modal yang signifikan  untuk bisa bersaing di masa depan. Di Indonesia, Bahasa Inggris diajarkan sebagai mata pelajaran wajib, namun dengan jam belajar yang terbatas, Selain itu, terdapat kesenjangan antara kemampuan berbahasa Inggris antara para siswa yang tinggal di perkotaan dengan mereka yang bersekolah dan tinggal di daerah yang jauh dari kota atau ibukota kabupaten, seperti di SMA Negeri 1 Langkahan Aceh Utara dan SMA Negeri 9 Takengon Aceh Tengah. Hal ini disebabkan keterbatasan akses terhadap sumber-sumber belajar seperti buku, perangkat teknologi, atau tempat belajar di luar sekolah seperti kursus. Adanya keterbatasan ini juga berdampak pada rendahnya motivasi anak-anak yang tinggal di daerah pelosok untuk belajar Bahasa Inggris yang akhirnya berdampak pada prestasi belajar Bahasa Inggris mereka.  Berangkat dari fakta tersebut, diperlukan  sosialiasi mengenai strategi yang bisa diterapkan dalam rangka belajar bahasa Inggris secara mandiri dengan efektif dan menyenangkan di tengah keterbatasan yang ada bagi siswa yang bersekolah di wilayah yang jauh dari ibu kota kabupaten. Kegiatan ini telah berdampak pada meningkatnya pengetahuan siswa terhadap strategi yang bisa dilakukan untuk belajar Bahasa Inggris secara efektif dan menyenangkan guna meningkatkan kemampuan berbahasa Inggris siswa.

Abstract

Salah satu penyebab fraktur pada tulang ialah kecelakan pada saat beraktifitas maupun berkendara. Penggunaan pelat implan metatarsophalangeal (MTP) menjadi satu dari berbagai macam metode penanganan fraktur pada tulang. Maka penting untuk mengetahui kemampuan pelat implan dalam menahan segala jenis pembebanan yang mungkin terjadi saat digunakan di tubuh manusia. metode yang digunakan untuk menganalisis kekuatan struktur pelat implan MTP ini adalah dengan menggunakan finite element method. Terdapat tiga tahapan dalam metode ini. Tahapan pertama adalah preprocessing, jenis material dan jenis meshing ditentukan pada tahapan ini. Lalu tahap solution, yaitu penentuan jenis pembebanan dan constraint  yang digunakan. Terakhir tahapan post processing, yaitu proses analisis hasil simulasi yang dilakukan pada dua tahapan sebelumnya. Pada penelitian ini didapatkan nilai von-mises stress dengan pembebanan 44.228 N hingga 200 N sebesar 51.492 MPa hingga 232.85 MPa. Nilai tersebut masih berada di bawah nilai tegangan luluh material Ti-6Al-4V yakni sebesar 880 MPa. Nilai von-mises stress yang rendah tersebut mengakibatkan deformasi total dan deformasi sumbu Z yang terjadi cukup rendah, rata-rata pada angka 0.0189 mm dan 8,77x10-4 mm. Berdasarkan perolehan nilai tersebut dapat disimpulkan pelat implan MTP dengan material Ti-6Al-4V tidak terjadi deformasi plastis. Deformasi yang terjadi pada  pelat implan MTP adalah deformasi elastis, dengan nilai yang cukup rendah. Sehingga aman digunakan sebagai salah satu alat bantu dalam proses penyembuhan fraktur pada tulang MTP.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menginvestigasi pengaruh lingkungan kerja dan stres kerja secara simultan dan parsial terhadap employee engagement, serta implikasinya terhadap kinerja karyawan PT XYZ Proyek Kantor Pusat Bank ABC. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah non probability sampling dengan menggunakan purposive sampling. Rumusan masalah utama mencakup pertanyaan mengenai pengaruh lingkungan kerja dan stres kerja secara simultan dan parsial terhadap employee engagement, serta dampak employee engagement terhadap kinerja karyawan. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner yang disebar kepada responden yang merupakan tenaga pengamanan di Kantor Pusat Bank ABC yang ditangani oleh PT XYZ. Hasil analisis menunjukkan adanya pengaruh signifikan secara simultan antara lingkungan kerja dan stres kerja terhadap employee engagement. Secara parsial, lingkungan kerja memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap employee engagement, demikian pula dengan stres kerja. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa faktor-faktor lingkungan kerja dan stres kerja berperan penting dalam membentuk tingkat keterlibatan karyawan. Selain itu, berdasarkan hasil penelitian, disimpulkan bahwa employee engagement secara positif dan signifikan memoderasi kinerja karyawan PT XYZ Proyek Kantor Pusat Bank ABC. Implikasi dari temuan ini menekankan pentingnya memperhatikan lingkungan kerja yang mendukung dan mengelola stres kerja agar dapat meningkatkan tingkat employee engagement, yang pada gilirannya akan berkontribusi positif terhadap kinerja karyawan.

Abstract

Cellulosenanofibrils (CNF) is a new generation material that has high performance, good physics and medical properties and is a renewable material that has been developed from various sources using the acid hydrolysis method. CNF synthesis is generally obtained from logs that have a high amount of cellulose fiber. Cellulose nanofibrils (CNF) from arabica coffee skins have great potential to be developed as raw materials for medicines, which function as wound healing agents, surgical sutures, diet medicines, and skin softeners. CNF is produced from Arabica coffee skin through delignification, namely the removal of lignin and hemicellulose by extraction with alkali until -cellulose is obtained, then CNF is synthesized through hydrolysis using dilute acid. From the coffee skin extraction results, a high cellulose yield was obtained, reaching above 24.30% and crystallinity reaching 79.60%. Hydrolysis by 10%, 12% and 15% HCl with a reaction time of 2 hours, the respective crystallinity was 80.66; 79.06; and 77.69%.

Abstract

The use of biofoam is one of the ways to reduce plastic waste that pollutes the environment. In this research, we want to develop biofoam from sago starch as a basic ingredient with the addition of corn husk fiber filler and the addition of magnesium stearate which aims to improve mechanical characteristics, thermal, morphological, water absorption and biodegradabillity. Variations of corn husk fiber used were 45 g, 50 g, 55 g and 60 g, with variations in the concentration of NaOH solvent used for cellulose extraction were 3%, 5%, 7% and 9%. The mechanical characteristics (tensile strength) of the resulting biofoam range from 1.37 – 2.45 MPa. The chemical bonding of biofoam was seen through Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR) and showed that biofoam is hydrophilic which binds to water so that it is easily degraded by soil. Thermal characteristics were tested through Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC) and showed a melting point of 410.68oC at 45 g of fiber and 5% NaOH and a melting point of 410.86oC at 55 g fiber and 5% NaOH. Thermal stability was analyzed through Thermal Gravimetry Analysis (TGA) and the most thermally stable biofoam was biofoam with 45 g of corn husk fiber and 5% NaOH. The surface morphology test using a Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) showed that the morphological structure of the corn husk fiber biofoam was uneven and there were bubbles on the surface of the biofoam. The water absorption test shows results between 5.72 – 14.43%. The lowest density test for biofoam is using 55 g fiber weight and 3% NaOH concentration, while the highest density is 60 g fiber weight and 9% NaOH concentration. The results of the biodegradability test showed that the biofoam decomposes completely within 40-45 days, the soil moisture factor greatly affects the rate of biodegradability.
