Abstract

Village development is a crucial pillar in achieving national welfare through the effective utilization of the Village Fund. This study aims to analyze the effect of harmonization between customary law and Islamic principles in the utilization of the Village Fund on improving the collective welfare of village communities in Indonesia, especially in Kerinci Regency. The method used is a mixed methods approach, with quantitative techniques through the Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) model and qualitative methods based on in-depth interviews and participatory observation. The results showed that the integration of local cultural values such as gotong royong, normative attachment, and deliberative conflict resolution contributed significantly to strengthening participatory and equitable governance of the Village Fund. In addition, Islamic principles such as deliberation (shura), trustworthiness, justice ('adl), and public good (maslahah 'ammah) provide an ethical basis for decision-making on the use of the Village Fund. The resulting structural model shows high predictive value with support from empirical data, where customary social sanctions act as an effective social control mechanism. The research also found challenges in implementation, such as the dominance of local elites and the lack of contextual understanding of progressive Islamic values. Therefore, recommendations are provided for incorporating the principles of customary and Islamic law into formal village regulations to establish inclusive, equitable, and sustainable development governance. Theoretically, this study enriches the discourse on legal pluralism in village development governance, while practically providing a strategic framework for policymakers and village stakeholders in designing a Village Fund management model oriented towards social justice and sustainability.

Abstract

Visually impaired individuals often struggle to independently identify Indonesian rupiah denominations because banknotes share similar colors, patterns, and layouts, increasing the risk of errors during cash transactions. Purpose: This study aims to develop an offline, image-based banknote denomination recognition system on Android that can provide accessible assistance without relying on internet connectivity. Methodology: A quantitative experimental design was applied using a dataset of 4,340 banknote images covering 14 classes (seven denominations with front and back sides). The classifier was built with MobileNetV2 using transfer learning, supported by data augmentation and hyperparameter optimization, and evaluated using validation accuracy and F1-score. The trained model was converted to TensorFlow Lite and integrated into a Flutter-based Android application with text-to-speech output for user assistance. Findings: The proposed model achieved 96.20% validation accuracy with an average F1-score of 0.95, indicating strong performance for lightweight on-device inference. Implications: The system can be deployed in real time on smartphones to support inclusive and safer cash handling for visually impaired users, and it demonstrates the feasibility of offline deep learning for accessible financial technology. Originality: This study provides an end-to-end offline solution for Indonesian rupiah recognition that combines a lightweight deep learning model, on-device deployment, and text-to-speech feedback while distinguishing both sides of multiple denominations, offering practical value beyond approaches that depend on cloud inference or limited class coverage.

Abstract

The 15–24 age group is a key driver of Indonesia’s demographic bonus, yet the youth labor market continues to fluctuate due to limited skill readiness, economic conditions, and the absence of a strong labor force prediction system. These issues are compounded by sparse annual data from 2015–2024, which contains missing values and requires appropriate modeling to ensure accurate forecasting. This study aims to develop a prediction model for the number of young workers using three approaches—BSTS, LSTM, and SARIMA—while comparing their accuracy based on MAPE and RMSE. The study also tests whether performance differences among the models are statistically significant and identifies the most optimal model to support youth employment policy planning in Indonesia. The research uses time series data from BPS covering 2015–2024. Preprocessing includes imputing missing values through linear interpolation, normalizing the data, and dividing it into training and testing sets. Each model—BSTS, LSTM, and SARIMA—is then applied and evaluated using MAPE, RMSE, and statistical tests such as the Wilcoxon or paired t-test to assess the significance of performance differences. Results show that LSTM and SARIMA yield the highest accuracy, each achieving a MAPE of 3.44%, while BSTS performs less effectively on limited annual data. Statistical tests confirm that BSTS differs significantly from LSTM and SARIMA, whereas LSTM and SARIMA do not significantly differ from each other. The accuracy decline in 2020–2021 underscores the sensitivity of the youth labor market to external shocks like the pandemic. Overall, SARIMA and LSTM emerge as the most suitable models for forecasting youth labor numbers in Indonesia. These findings can guide the development of adaptive, data-driven employment policies to maximize the demographic bonus potential.

Abstract

This research focuses on two issues. First, how is legal protection provided to victims of fraudulent investment schemes through the XFA AI application? Second, what is the perspective of Islamic criminal law on fraudulent investment schemes through the XFA AI application? This research method utilizes library research, a type of normative juridical research. The collected data was analyzed descriptively and qualitatively, examining legal norms found in laws and regulations, as well as norms that emerge and develop within society. The results of this study conclude that: Legal protection for victims of fraudulent investment schemes through the XFA AI application can be implemented both preventively and repressively. Preventive efforts are implemented through education, supervision, and complaint services in accordance with Law No. 21 of 2011 concerning the Financial Services Authority (OJK) and Law No. 8 of 1999 concerning Consumer Protection

Abstract

The rapid expansion of the e-commerce industry in Indonesia has led to a substantial increase in consumer behavioral data. This condition highlights the need for analytical approaches capable of identifying transaction patterns and supporting meaningful customer segmentation. This study aims to segment e-commerce customers using the K-Means clustering method and to present the results through an interactive dashboard. The research process includes data cleaning and standardization, followed by the construction of derived variables such as average basket, spend per month, and paylater share to represent customer transaction behavior. The optimal number of clusters was determined by evaluating several metrics, including the Sum of Squared Errors (SSE) graph, Silhouette Score, Calinski–Harabasz Index, and Davies–Bouldin Index. Although the custest Silhouette Score and Calinski–Harabasz Index were obtained at k = 2, the overall evaluation indicated that k = 3 produced a more balanced and interpretable clustering structure. Consequently, three customer segments were identified: customers with moderate shopping activity, high-value customers with a tendency to use Paylater services, and customers with high transaction frequency but relatively low purchase value. The analytical results were subsequently implemented in a Streamlit-based interactive dashboard to support data-driven decision making.

Abstract

The real need is that MSME actors need a wider range of purchasing their products, not only in the surrounding environment. This is a real need that inspires and provides the background for community service implementation activities in the form of socialization of sales strategies. In this article, the method used is the consultation method. The consultation method is a method that is carried out by providing material to the audience regarding problems about sales strategies given by lecturers. The results of the marketing strategy socialization activity in Pasir Jaya Village were carried out smoothly and received a good response from the community. Participants who attended included MSME actors, youth groups, and village officials. Through this activity, the public's understanding of the importance of marketing local products is increasing. They began to recognize various promotional approaches, such as the use of social media, attractive packaging designs, and the application of prices that suit market needs.

Abstract

Chemical numeracy is essential for understanding quantitative concepts in chemistry; however, there are indications of achievement gaps between male and female students. This study aims to analyze the influence of gender on students' numeracy skills when implementing the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model. This study employed a quasi-experimental design with a nonequivalent control group. The study population consisted of Phase F students at three high schools in West Sumatra, Indonesia. The sample comprised 188 students selected through purposive sampling based on initial ability equivalence. The research sample came from three schools, each serving as a research context for different topics: salt hydrolysis (experimental class = 33; control class = 30), reaction rates (experimental class = 35; control class = 35), and chemical equilibrium (experimental class = 26; control class = 29). The research instrument consisted of a chemistry numerical literacy test on reaction rates, chemical equilibrium, and salt hydrolysis, which experts had validated. Instruction in the experimental classes used the PBL model, while the control classes used conventional instruction, as typically implemented in schools. Data were analyzed using the N-gain test, normality test, homogeneity test, and Two-Way ANOVA. Results showed that improvement in numerical literacy in chemistry was greater in PBL classes than in control classes. Statistical analysis indicated that the PBL model had a significant effect on improving numerical literacy in chemistry. Gender was significant in only one school, and the interaction between the learning model and gender was also significant there, suggesting that the model's effectiveness may vary by context. These findings indicate that PBL is effective in enhancing students' numerical literacy in chemistry and imply that chemistry instruction should be designed around problem-solving approaches to develop quantitative reasoning and a contextual understanding of chemical concepts.
