Abstract

Spatial reasoning is a cognitive skill that plays an important role in geometry learning and is influenced by various factors, one of which is Adversity Quotient (AQ), a student's resilience in facing academic challenges. This study aims to analyze the spatial reasoning ability of junior high school students in solving geometry problems based on AQ categories. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study design. This study included 64 seventh-grade students, categorized based on the Adversity Response Profile (ARP) Questionnaire adopted from Paul G. Stoltz to map students' AQ. Furthermore, five geometry test questions were used to measure spatial reasoning. Six students, two for AQ climbers, campers, and quitters, were interviewed to explore students' spatial reasoning. The results showed that climber students excelled in spatial visualization and mental rotation. Camper students tended to be less consistent, and quitter students had difficulty visualizing two-dimensional to three-dimensional relationships. These findings emphasize the importance of AQ in designing geometry learning strategies. The study's conclusion shows that Adversity Intelligence is an important factor in supporting the success of spatial reasoning for solving geometry problems. The implications of this research suggest that mathematics education, especially geometry, needs to focus not only on cognitive aspects but also on developing affective aspects such as resilience (adversity quotient).

Abstract

This research is motivated by the many cases of sexual violence against children as victims, one of which occurred at the Miftahul Huda Assembly, Salem Village, Pondoksalam District, Purwakarta Regency. Acts of sexual violence against children can cause physical, psychological, social, prolonged trauma, and potentially make them perpetrators of sexual violence in the future. Therefore, the role of parents is very important through the rights and obligations of parents to children in preventing sexual violence against children. The purpose of this study is to describe the efforts made by parents in preventing sexual violence against children, parents' views on sexual violence that occurs in recitation, and the supporting and inhibiting factors experienced by parents in preventing sexual violence. The theory used in this study is the theory of social control developed by Travis Hirschi about things that can restrain a person from committing social deviations or violations. The research approach used is a descriptive type qualitative approach. Research informants were selected using purposive sampling technique, namely, parents (father or mother) who have children aged 12-15 years and have never experienced sexual violence. The data collection method used was obtained through observation, in-depth interviews and documentation. The results of this study indicate that parents view sexual abuse in recitation as something that is not right and violates the rules. Parents' efforts in preventing sexual violence against children by instilling religious teachings as a foundation, providing a good environment, teaching responsibility and discipline, providing boundaries in relationships, and building good communication. The obstacles or difficulties of parents in providing supervision and in terms of explaining body parts to children are still taboo feelings and emotions, lack of knowledge and skills as well as limited time and distance. While supporting factors or those that help parents are the presence of close family, media and technology, and the existence of educational institutions.

Abstract

This article discusses the interpretation of Q.S. 2:233 in the context of exclusive breastfeeding and childcare through a maqāṣidī tafsir approach. The research integrates analysis of the Qur'anic text with modern psychological theory and public health policy to highlight the relevance of Islamic teachings to contemporary issues, such as reducing stunting and children's right to optimal growth and development. The results show that Q.S. 2:233 not only provides spiritual guidance but also reflects the principles of maqāṣidī sharia, particularly in safeguarding physical health (ḥifẓ al-badan) and offspring (ḥifẓ al-nasl). In addition, this study explores cultural and traditional challenges in child-rearing practices, particularly in balancing religious obligations with modern societal changes, such as career-oriented motherhood and shifting family dynamics. This interdisciplinary approach offers a more holistic understanding for policymakers and society in promoting the importance of breastfeeding and parenting based on Qur'anic values.

Abstract

An interpretation is inevitably influenced by the interpreter's historical context. This is also true for Quraish Shihab in his Tafsir Al-Misbah. This study aims to examine how history influenced Quraish Shihab's interpretation of Qs. Luqman (31): 6. Employing a qualitative text-based methodology and Hans-Georg Gadamer's hermeneutical analysis, the study reveals that Quraish Shihab's interpretation is shaped by two key factors. First, he was influenced by his father and teachers. Second, his academic background significantly impacted his thought process. These two factors collectively contributed to the construction of Quraish Shihab's moderate approach in interpreting the Qur'an in general, and Qs. Luqman (31): 6 in particular.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh penerapan metode pembelajaran. Metode sebagai jalan yang dilalaui untuk memberikan pemahaman atau pengertian kepada peserta didik. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui penerapan metode mind mapping pada mata pelajaran sejarah kebudayaan islam (SKI) dalam meningkatkan minat belajar siswa di MIS Guppi No.13 Tasik Malaya. Jenis penelitian yang dilakukan adalah penelitian kualilatatif yang dilakukan dengan teknik pengumpulan data; observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data; reduksi data, penyajian data dan pengambilan data. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah guru dan siswa. Hasil penelitian yang dicapai dalam peneliti ini dapat diketahui bahwa penerapan metode pembelajaran Mind Mapping pada mata pelajaran sejarah kebudayaan islam yang diterapkan di Mis Guppi No.13 Tasik Malaya, sehingga dengan penerapan metode pembelajaran Mind Mapping pada mata pelajaran sejarah kebudayaan islam dapat meningkatkan kreativitas belajar siswa. Karena terliahat siswa mampu dalam mencari bahan- bahan yang dibutuhkan dalam pembelajaran secara sendiri, siswa dapat memahmi materi sesuai keinginan mereka dalam membuat metode mind mapping Selanjutnya Faktor Pendukung mudah digunakan dan di mengerti, peserta didik diajarkan untuk lebih aktif, materi yang di berikan hanya ide-ide pokok dan bisa diingat oleh siswa. Faktor Penghambat siswa kesulitan dalam membuat garis- garis hubung karena terhambat peralatan seperti mistar, jika materi terlalu panjang maka mind mapping sulit untuk dibuat.

Abstract

Schizophrenia is a functional psychotic disorder with the main disturbance of the thought process and the disintegration of the thought process, affect or emotion, volition and psychomotor accompanied by a distortion of reality, especially due to delusions and hallucinations, fragmented associations resulting in incoherence, inadequate affect and emotion, and psychomotor which shows withdrawal, ambivalence and bizzare behavior. The research design used is the literature review method. Literature study is research carried out by researchers by collecting a number of articles or journals related to research problems and objectives. The study results show that various literature shows evidence that schizophrenia in the elderly occurs due to changes in antioxidant enzymes in schizophrenia. Increased levels of lipid peroxidation products and nitric oxide (NO) occurred in schizophrenia, while superoxide dismutase activity was found to decrease significantly in this disorder, but glutathione peroxidase and catalase activity had no effect in schizophrenia patients. In schizophrenic patients, it was found that there was an increase in the production of free radicals, therefore the administration of anti-oxidants is necessary to increase antioxidants which can reduce symptoms in schizophrenic patients.

Abstract

This research investigates the spatial distribution of tuberculosis (TB) cases in Samarinda Ulu, a sub-district with the second-highest percentage of detected TB cases in Samarinda City. Despite the availability of geographic analysis tools, no prior studies have focused on this area. The study uses a descriptive-analytical, cross-sectional approach, utilizing secondary data from the TB03-SO form for 2023. The total sample includes 323 TB cases, with Google Maps used to locate case coordinates based on respondents’ addresses. Spatial analysis was conducted using QGIS software with overlay, buffer, and nearest neighbor analysis techniques. Results shows that TB cases in Samarinda Ulu are distributed in a clustered pattern (NNI<1), with clusters forming primarily in densely populated areas. The spatial analysis results also indicate that the majority of TB cases spread through close contact with index cases. Teluk Lerong Ilir Village emerges as a TB "hotspot," with the highest concentration of cases. This study suggests strengthening spatial-based TB surveillance and intensifying control efforts, such as enhancing early detection and promoting community-based health education programs in highly populated areas. This would allow health institutions to better target high-risk regions and improve TB prevention and control strategies.

Abstract

: Seeing the current condition of the community, most of them still use simple security, such as the cupboard security system at Weleri Muhammadiyah 3 Vocational School, the situation is that schools still use one key in one cabinet where only one person is employed while more than one TU officer is if other officers will use the cupboard, they must look for or wait for the key holder first and the method is not effective for emergency matters. The importance of making security in the closet is because the school is the school with the highest number of students and requires safe storage media for diplomas (not yet taken). Therefore, it is necessary to make a cabinet lock application system using microcontroller-based fingerprints. This cabinet lock system uses a fingerprint scanner as the main determinant of whether the cabinet can be opened automatically. From research at Weleri Muhammadiyah 3 Vocational School, this system was able to add a security system to the cabinet to control access rights in the cabinets that were considered important.

Abstract

Pengabdian ini adalah untuk membantu memberikan peningkatan dalam penggunaan kartu kesehatan BPJS serta kepatuhan dalam membayar iuran. Metode pelaksanaan pengabdian ini dilakukan dalam beberapa kegiatan yaitu tahap survey, menghubungi pihak BPJS Kabupaten Bangka untuk bekerjasama, sosialisasi yang dilakukan oleh pihak BPJS Kabupaten Bangka. Seiring dengan perkembangan teknologi yang terjadi saat ini, pendapat masyarakat terhadap program pemerintah Indonesia dapat dilihat melalui jejaring sosial Twitter. Badan Penyelenggara Jaminan Sosial (BPJS) adalah salah satu penyelenggara program pemerintah Indonesia yang sering mendapat tanggapan baik positif maupun negatif dari masyarakat. Pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penggunaan kartu BPJS di Desa Silip Kecamatan Riau Silip. Pengabdian masyarakat ini merupakan pengabdian masyarakat sebanyak 91 responden dengan pengguna kartu BPJS sebanyak 59 responden (59,6%), yang tidak menggunakan kartu kesehatan BPJS sebanyak 31 orang (31,3%) dan pengguna kartu kesehatan lain sebanyak 1 orang (1%). Dalam hal ini BPJS Kabupaten Bangka untuk mengoptimalkan sosialisasi melalui kerjasama dengan puskesmas dan pihak desa agar bisa mengaktifkan dan meratakan penggunaan kartu jaminan kesehatan nasional di Desa Silip Kecamatan Riau Silip Kabupaten Bangka.

Abstract

Background: Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) is critical in ensuring the protection and well-being of healthcare workers, especially in primary health centres (PHCs) where resource limitations often compromise safety standards. In Indonesia, limited data exists on the overall Performance of OHS management across multiple PHCs. This study aimed to assess the current status of OHS management implementation across 30 PHCs in Tulungagung Regency, Indonesia, focusing on the availability of OHS facilities, staff competency, and their association with OHS management outcomes Methods: A quantitative cross-sectional design was employed involving 30 PHCs selected through simple random sampling. Data were collected using structured questionnaires and checklists assessing facility availability, staff training, and OHS management practices. The OHS implementation instrument consisted of 35 items validated through Pearson correlation (p < 0.05; r > 0.6) and demonstrated good internal consistency (Cronbach’s alpha = 0.762). Descriptive statistics, Chi-square tests, and ordinal logistic regression were used for data analysis. Results: Most PHCs (76.7%) had complete OHS infrastructure, yet 76.7% lacked trained personnel. OHS management Performance was rated as poor in 63.3% of PHCs, moderate in 6.7%, and good in only 30%. A significant relationship was observed between staff OHS competency and OHS management quality (χ² = 7.182; p = 0.028). However, regression analysis indicated that facility availability and staff training accounted for only 8.6% of the variance in OHS management outcomes (Nagelkerke R² = 0.086). Conclusion: Despite sufficient infrastructure in most PHCs, the lack of trained personnel remains a major barrier to effective OHS implementation. These findings highlight the need for targeted capacity-building and systemic approaches that integrate leadership, policy enforcement, and organizational support to improve occupational health outcomes in primary healthcare settings.
