Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis implementasi pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) pada materi Sirah Nabawiyah dalam pembentukan akhlak karimah peserta didik di SDN 24 Negeri Katon Pesawaran, dengan fokus pada aspek perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi pembelajaran. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian lapangan (field research). Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi dengan melibatkan 1 kepala sekolah, 1 guru PAI, dan 12 peserta didik sebagai informan. Analisis data menggunakan model Miles dan Huberman yang meliputi reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan, dengan uji keabsahan melalui triangulasi sumber, teknik, dan member check. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran Sirah Nabawiyah berkontribusi dalam pembentukan akhlak karimah, khususnya pada aspek kejujuran, tanggung jawab, dan sopan santun yang mengalami peningkatan secara signifikan, meskipun aspek kedisiplinan masih relatif rendah. Metode storytelling yang dipadukan dengan diskusi dan tanya jawab terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterlibatan peserta didik serta mendorong internalisasi nilai melalui pengalaman belajar yang kontekstual. Keterbatasan media pembelajaran dan alokasi waktu menjadi kendala utama yang menghambat optimalisasi proses refleksi dan penguatan nilai. Evaluasi pembelajaran telah mencakup aspek kognitif dan afektif, meskipun masih memerlukan pengembangan instrumen penilaian sikap yang lebih terstruktur. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa pembelajaran Sirah Nabawiyah tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai transmisi pengetahuan, tetapi juga sebagai mekanisme pembentukan karakter yang efektif, dengan catatan perlunya penguatan pada aspek media, waktu, dan evaluasi pembelajaran.

Abstract

This research identifies a significant gap between the taught values of Islamic Educational Philosophy and students' reflective internalization in daily behavior within Islamic elementary schools. Despite the consistent implementation of Islamic educational practices, the internalization process of core values, namely Tawhid (oneness of God), Adab (etiquette/morality), and Amanah (trustworthiness), has not yet fully reached the stage of deep reflection or behavioral consistency outside the school environment. Using a qualitative design with an interpretative phenomenological approach, this study explores the lived experiences of principals, Islamic Education (PAI) teachers, classroom teachers, students, and parents across several Islamic elementary schools in Karawang. Data were gathered through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentary studies. Analysis followed the Miles and Huberman model, utilizing triangulation of sources, techniques, and time, alongside participant validation. The findings reveal that while Islamic educational values are integrated into the curriculum and school culture, their internalization requires three strategic components: (1) A reflective learning approach that transcends mere habituation; (2) Authentic moral modeling from educators; and (3) Synergetic collaboration between schools, families, and the community as a supporting ecosystem. The contribution of this research is the development of an operational framework for internalizing Islamic educational philosophy that integrates theological dimensions, reflective pedagogy, and environmental support, moving beyond ritualistic habituation. These findings are relevant for the development of value-based character education policies at the primary level in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the relationship between curricular transition quality and the religiosity–morality index of university students within the context of higher education reform. Contemporary curriculum changes increasingly emphasize holistic student development, including ethical and spiritual dimensions; however, empirical evidence on their impact remains limited. A quantitative correlational design was employed involving 285 undergraduate students who experienced both previous and newly implemented curricula at Universitas Muhmmadiyah Bandung. Data were collected using the Curricular Transition Quality Questionnaire (32 items) and the Religiosity–Morality Index Scale (28 items). Both instruments demonstrated strong psychometric properties, with factor loadings ranging from 0.724–0.892, Average Variance Extracted (AVE) above 0.50, Composite Reliability exceeding 0.90, and Cronbach’s alpha values above 0.89, indicating adequate validity and reliability. Data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM). The results reveal a significant positive relationship between curricular transition quality and the religiosity–morality index (β = 0.584, p < 0.001), with moderate explanatory power. Among the dimensions, implementation fidelity and faculty competence emerged as the strongest predictors. In conclusion, the quality of curriculum transition plays a substantial role in fostering students’ moral and religious development, although it is not the sole determinant. These findings highlight the importance of systematic, well-supported curriculum implementation as a strategic approach to promoting holistic student development in higher education.
