Abstract

Talking about the transformation of Al-Ghazali's thought from rational to Sufistic tendencies is not as easy as al-Ghazali's changing the character of thought, but it requires a very long process. One of the indicators is that in 488 H. (1095 AD) al-Ghazali was in doubt, skeptical of the sciences he was studying. This skeptical state made al-Ghazali undergo quite drastic changes. Not a physical change, but/transformation of his thoughts, which at first tended to be rational and philosophical, in the end he chose the Sufi tendency as the character of his thinking. This article is of a library research nature and uses a historical approach to al-Ghazali's rational-sufistic epistemology with the theory of transformation in al-Ghazali's intellectual history from rational to sufistic in nature with a cross-disciplinary model, namely by combining rational and sufictic into one unified whole. , so that the hope is to emerge "neo Ghazzalian" in the sense of understanding al-Ghazzali's thought as a whole and not partially, so that the results of this paper actually reconstruct al-Gahzzali's thought as a whole by providing fresh knowledge for the development of classical Islamic thought and contemporary.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of halal certification as a state regulatory instrument in strengthening the competitiveness of sharia-based MSMEs in the global market. The focus of the study covers the role of halal certification as a state regulatory instrument. The method used in this study is a systematic literature review approach to identify, evaluate, and interpret all relevant studies related to halal certification, state regulatory instruments, and globalization in the halal industry. The results of the analysis show that the role of the state is not only limited to issuing halal certification regulations, but also includes strengthening the halal ecosystem as a whole. Support in the form of policy dissemination, certification cost subsidies, assistance for MSMEs, and synergy with Islamic financial institutions has been proven to contribute to accelerating the halal certification process and increasing the readiness of MSMEs to face global competition

Abstract

This study explores the integration of Islamic spiritual values within thematic instruction in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri (MIN) across Padang City, Indonesia. As expectations grow for Islamic primary schools to balance academic achievement with the cultivation of religious character, understanding how to embed spiritual values into general subjects becomes increasingly vital. The research aims to identify the spiritual values adopted, examine their implementation in classroom practices, and assess their impact on students’ holistic development. Employing a qualitative–descriptive approach, data were collected from six MIN through classroom observations, teacher interviews, lesson plan analysis, and surveys of teachers and parents (n = 50). The findings reveal eight core values—tawakkul (trust in God), ikhlas (sincerity), amanah (responsibility), rahmah (compassion), syukur (gratitude), tauhid (oneness of God), istiqamah (steadfastness), and adab (ethical conduct)—integrated across multiple subjects. Strategies include spiritual reflection, contextual prayers, Islamic storytelling, and social service activities. The results indicate improvements in students’ moral behavior and sense of responsibility, demonstrating that spiritually based thematic learning effectively fosters both academic competence and spiritual maturity.

Abstract

The transformation of digital democracy in Indonesia demonstrates the paradox between increased public participation and low quality deliberation due to the dominance of reactive, emotional, and fragmented digital interactions. This study aims to analyze the dynamics of digital democracy in Indonesia and develop a conceptual model of connective democracy based on Pancasila values as an effort to strengthen the quality of democratic interactions. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study design that focuses on digital democracy practices on various social media platforms in the 2025–2026 period. Data were collected through digital documentation and observations of public interactions, and analyzed using qualitative content analysis and reflexive thematic analysis to identify communication patterns and key themes. The results show that digital connectivity has not been accompanied by the quality of deliberative social relations, giving rise to a tendency towards reactive democracy and polarization. Connective democracy based on Pancasila offers a framework that emphasizes the importance of empathy, openness, and cross-perspective dialogue based on the values of divinity, humanity, unity, democracy, and social justice. The implications of this study indicate that strengthening digital democracy requires the integration of technology, ethics, and values-based civic education to build the quality of civilized public interactions. The conclusion of this research is that the resulting conceptual model emphasizes the importance of shifting from mere digital connectivity to meaningful connections as the foundation of inclusive and deliberative digital democracy in Indonesia.

Abstract

Although conventional patterns of da‘wah continue to shape much religious communication, alternative approaches that more effectively engage the younger generation remain important to explore. This study aims to analyze the integrative-interconnective approach in Cak Nun’s da‘wah for the younger generation as an alternative to conventional patterns. This approach integrates intellectual, cultural, and spiritual dimensions through reflective, dialogical, and inclusive communication. The study employed a qualitative design using document analysis and participatory observation in the Maiyah forum. Data were analyzed thematically through interpretation, categorization, and critical reflection. The findings indicate the formation of a holistic da‘wah epistemology model that combines religion, art, science, and social reality. Theoretically, da‘wah is interpreted as the production of dialogical meaning across disciplinary boundaries. This study concludes that the integrative-interconnective approach offers a relevant alternative framework for engaging the younger generation through adaptive, inclusive, and reflective da‘wah practices. The findings contribute to the enrichment of the interconnected da‘wah paradigm and imply the need for the development of adaptive curricula and creative media-based da‘wah practices.

Abstract

Lekok Subdistrict, located in the coastal area of Pasuruan Regency, is one of the regions with significant marine fisheries potential. Fishing activities in this area serve as a primary source of livelihood for the local community. This study aims to identify the potential of fishery resources and examine the challenges faced by fishermen in conducting their activities. A qualitative approach was used, employing observation, in-depth interviews, and literature review techniques. The results indicate that the fisheries potential in Lekok is abundant, encompassing various types of catch and a strategic location near the Java Sea. However, fishermen face numerous challenges, such as limited access to modern fishing equipment, extreme weather conditions, fluctuating fish prices, and restricted access to markets and business capital. Additionally, coastal environmental degradation and conflicts among marine resource users pose significant obstacles. Therefore, collaborative efforts between the government, non-governmental organizations, and fishing communities are needed to enhance fishermen’s capacity and manage coastal resources sustainably

Abstract

This study examines the transformation of educational management in the era of online media, with a focus on the role and responsibility of digital corporations in shaping information ecosystems. The rapid expansion of digital platforms has fundamentally altered how knowledge is produced, accessed, and managed, placing educational institutions within complex and interconnected information environments. However, the dominance of digital corporations as information gatekeepers raises critical challenges related to accountability, misinformation, and the quality of educational content. This research employs a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach by analyzing peer-reviewed articles published between 2020 and 2025 from databases such as Scopus, ScienceDirect, and Google Scholar. The review process follows PRISMA guidelines, including identification, screening, eligibility, and inclusion stages. Data were analyzed using thematic analysis to identify key patterns related to digital transformation, information governance, and corporate accountability. The findings reveal that educational management has shifted toward a networked digital system where online media plays a central role in knowledge acquisition. Digital corporations significantly influence information visibility through algorithmic systems, yet their accountability remains limited, particularly in addressing misinformation. In addition, weak regulatory frameworks and limited multi-stakeholder collaboration further complicate efforts to ensure information quality. The study concludes that educational management must adopt adaptive and responsive strategies by integrating digital literacy, critical thinking, and information governance. Strengthening collaboration between educational institutions, policymakers, and digital corporations is essential to create a more accountable and sustainable digital education ecosystem.

Abstract

The growing disconnect between formal education, environmental sustainability, and local cultural knowledge highlights the need for context-based educational approaches. This study examines Ngabeungkat Dawuan as an intangible cultural heritage by analyzing its symbolic meaning, ecological function, social role, and relevance within educational management. Using a qualitative ethnographic design, data were collected through participant observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation in Dayeuhluhur, Cilacap Regency, and analyzed using an interactive model with triangulation to ensure credibility. The findings reveal that Ngabeungkat Dawuan functions as a holistic cultural system integrating spiritual values, environmental awareness, and social cohesion. The ritual positions water as both a vital resource and a sacred entity, while simultaneously operating as a community-based environmental management practice and an informal learning space for intergenerational knowledge transmission. It also strengthens collective identity and embeds ecological responsibility within social norms. This study contributes by integrating ritual, ecology, and educational management into a unified analytical framework, demonstrating that local traditions can serve as culturally grounded and environmentally oriented educational resources. The study concludes that Ngabeungkat Dawuan offers a relevant model for developing context-sensitive educational practices, although its integration into formal education requires institutional support and policy alignment.

Abstract

The Community Service Program (KKN) conducted by Universitas Perjuangan Tasikmalaya in Sirnasari Village, Sariwangi District, Tasikmalaya Regency aimed to identify the role of pesantren (Islamic boarding schools) as centers of education and social resilience within rural communities. Pesantren in this area play a strategic role not only in delivering religious education but also in preserving social, moral, and economic values among local residents. The program, held from July 22 to August 26, 2026, involved 15 students from five faculties who collected data through observation and interviews with pesantren leaders, teachers, students, and nearby residents. The findings indicate that pesantren in Sirnasari Village contribute significantly to moral education and community-based religious activities while also engaging in small-scale economic initiatives such as herbal product sales and garden produce management. However, limitations remain in infrastructure, management capacity, and institutional collaboration. This activity provides an initial overview of pesantren’s potential as community-based centers of education and social resilience and serves as a foundation for future community service programs focused on digital literacy, student entrepreneurship, and institutional capacity strengthening within rural pesantren.
