Abstract

Burnout Syndrome refers to a condition in which the body is completely exhausted, both physically and mentally. According to data from the International Labour Organization (ILO) in 2021, nearly 2 million workers die each year due to work-related accidents caused by fatigue. Of these, 71.43% of workers experienced mild fatigue before starting work. After work, 100% of workers experienced fatigue, with 11.43% reporting mild fatigue, 42.86% moderate fatigue, and 45.71% severe fatigue. It is noted that the number of contract employees at Bhayangkara Hospital Makassar is 448, with 7 employees having resigned, which accounts for 1.52%. The aim of this study is to determine the effect of workload and work stress on employee Burnout at Bhayangkara Hospital Makassar in the year 2024. This study used a quantitative research method with a cross-sectional study design. The total population in this study was 448 individuals, with a sample of 211 respondents. Data collection was conducted using questionnaires, and the analysis techniques included univariate, bivariate, and multivariate analysis. The results showed that workload had a significant effect on Burnout (p = 0.000), work stress had a significant effect on Burnout (p = 0.000), and there was a simultaneous effect of workload and work stress on Burnout, where the calculated F-value (7.363) was greater than the F-table value (3.04), with a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05.Conclusion: There is a simultaneous effect of workload and work stress on employee Burnout at Bhayangkara Hospital Makassar.

Abstract

The marketing mix is a key strength of hospitals, closely linked to patient behavior in utilizing services. Product mismatch with patient perceptions is a common problem in the marketing mix. Patients sometimes do not know the cost, which can be burdensome for them. Promotion does not reach the right target segment. Place refers to the location, where there are often long queues at the outpatient clinic. People rely on specific individuals or doctors for care. Process involves inefficient service delivery workflows, and physical facilities are insufficient and not fully optimized. Similarly, in Pelamonia Hospital, the marketing mix is now structured as the 10P or mega marketing mix. This theory by Dr. Samsi Jacobalis led to the decision to expand the marketing mix from 4P to 10P, which includes People, Public, Power, Pressure, and Performance. The objective of this study is to determine the relationship between the marketing mix and patient loyalty at Pelamonia Hospital TK II 14.05.01 in Makassar. The research was conducted quantitatively using a cross-sectional approach. The population consisted of 8,134 patients, with 269 samples. The sampling method used was purposive sampling. The study was conducted in April 2025 and analyzed using univariate and bivariate analysis. The results and conclusions indicate a significant relationship between the product dimension (p=0.0027), promotion (p=0.002), physical evidence (p=0.027), process (p=0.000), performance (p=0.007), public relations (p=0.026), and power (p=0.000) with patient loyalty at the outpatient department of TK II 14.05.01 Pelamonia Hospital in Makassar. There is no relationship between the dimensions of price (p=0.180), place (p=0.664), and people (p=0.713) and the loyalty of outpatients at Pelamonia Makassar General Hospital TK II 14.05.01. It is recommended that the hospital maximize its marketing mix activities to provide good service to patients and make them feel comfortable in receiving services and examinations at the hospital. Abstract

Gowa Regency is the highest chayote producing district in South Sulawesi. Rappolemba Village is a center for producing horticultural crops, especially chayote. The high production rate of chayote, especially during harvest, is not directly proportional to market absorption. This condition is certainly a matter of concern because the low selling price is not enough to return the capital spent by farmers. This service aims to increase the knowledge and skills of chayote farmers in creative processing of chayote by making preparations such as chips, pudding and candy. Apart from that, the ladies from the chayote farming group are also provided with knowledge about product branding and marketing both offline and online. This service method is implemented through the stages of planning, socialization, implementation and evaluation. The output that has been obtained from the results of this service is increasing the knowledge and skills of farmer groups in processing chayote into various creative preparations with high selling value, knowledge about branding and marketing products offline and online.

Abstract

This study aims to formulate an appropriate strategy for developing the Ketambe nature tourism area by integrating local wisdom and community-based sociocultural values in Southeast Aceh. Despite its significant ecotourism potential, Ketambe’s local wisdom has not been optimally utilized as a core attraction. Employing a descriptive method with a qualitative approach, data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. Data analysis follows Miles, Huberman, and Saldana’s interactive model, comprising data collection, condensation, display, and conclusion drawing. A SWOT analysis was applied to identify a strategic development path. Findings reveal that Ketambe’s tourism development is supported by adequate accessibility, infrastructure, and cultural attractions rooted in local wisdom. Key dimensions include local resources (scenery, biodiversity), local culture, indigenous knowledge (Leuser Mountain legends), local skills (guiding and handicrafts), and local social processes (community interactions with nature and tourists). The SWOT matrix indicates a strategic position in quadrant III (score -0.13; 0.59), suggesting the need to minimize weaknesses to seize opportunities. The novelty of this research lies in its integration of local wisdom dimensions with strategic tourism planning—a rarely explored approach in this region. The study recommends synergy between cultural preservation and improved tourism facilities to enhance attractiveness while maintaining sociocultural identity.

Abstract

The patient registration process is the initial step in the creation of medical records at every healthcare facility. At this stage, the patient's personal identification data and the purpose of their visit to the hospital are recorded. This community service topic was chosen because many patients and their families still do not fully understand the outpatient registration procedures at hospitals. The method used in this community service activity is the production of an educational video that will be disseminated through the hospital. The results of this activity indicate an improvement in understanding of the outpatient services process, starting from registration to receiving medical care. This activity is highly important, considering that patients and their families require fast and accurate services. Therefore, education or socialization regarding the registration process is essential. With the presence of this educational and socialization video, it is expected that patients will find it easier to complete the registration process and access medical services.
