Abstract

This study describes the skills of seventh-grade students at SMP Negeri 26 Makassar in writing descriptive texts based on the school environment using quantitative research. The research variable is a single variable, namely descriptive text writing skills. The research design used is a quantitative descriptive design, because the data and analysis are based on numbers. The population in this study was all seventh-grade students at SMP Negeri 26 Makassar in the 2024/2025 academic year, totaling 185 students, so the sample used was 26 students. The results of this study were measured using a student test instrument in writing descriptive texts based on the school environment, which were then analyzed using descriptive statistical methods and divided into three forms: frequency, average, and category. The results showed that the average student writing skill was 57.28. This score is still below the Minimum Competency (KKM) (70), so students' writing skills are categorized as insufficient.

Abstract

Ibu hamil di Desa Pasie Rawa, Kabupaten Pidie masih menghadapi beberapa tantangan dalam hal akses ke pelayanan kesehatan yang memadai. Kurangnya pengetahuan dan kesadaran tentang pentingnya asuhan ANC dan dukungan psikologis dapat berdampak negatif pada kualitas hidup ibu hamil. Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan ibu hamil dan keluarga tentang pentingnya pemeriksaan kehamilan untuk meningkatkan kualitas hidup ibu hamil. Sasaran pengabdian ini adalah ibu hamil dan keluarga yang tinggal bersama dengan ibu hamil. Metode Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini dilaksanakan dengan memberikan asuhan ANC kepada hamil, memberikan dukungan psikologis. dan edukasi kepada ibu hamil tentang pentingnya asuhan ANC yang dilakukan di Pasie Rawa Kabupaten Pidie. Hasil kegiatan melalui Edukasi Pemeriksaan Kehamilan (ANC) ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan pengetahuan pada ibu hamil tentang pentingnya melakukan pemeriksaan kehamilan secara teratur. Kegiatan Pelaksanaan Asuhan ANC dan Dukungan Psikologis di Desa Pasie Rawa Kabupaten Pidie telah berhasil meningkatkan kualitas hidup ibu hamil dengan memberikan asuhan ANC yang komprehensif serta memberikan dukungan psikologis yang tepat

Abstract

The activities of the Community aims to provide planting character values learners through extracurricular Scouts in SMK Negeri 1 Rokan IV Koto, Rokan Hulu .Through character education, expected the learners are able to independently increase and use his knowledge, review and internalize and personalize the character values and morals noble so manifest in behavior everyday. Kegiatan community service societies was held at SMK Negeri 1 Rokan IV Koto, Rokan Hulu with p eserta is a student extracurricular Scout SMK Negeri 1 Rokan IV Koto, Rokan Hulu totalling 14 person. Material naturald this activity about the scope of the national character that must be ditanamakan against the students, who include 18 characters. As for the entire characters are: religious, honest, tolerant, disciplined, hard working, creative, independent, democratic, curiosity, passion, love of the fatherland, to appreciate the achievements, friendly/communicative, peace-loving, an avid reader, care for the environment, social care, and responsibility. This activity has many benefits for students that is shaping the character of the students, make students become more appreciative fellow, trained mentally and also the moral of the learners.

Abstract

Stunting is a chronic nutritional problem that remains a major challenge in improving child health in Indonesia. This condition has long-term impacts on physical growth, cognitive development, and future productivity of children. Early detection of toddlers' nutritional status is crucial for effectively preventing and addressing stunting cases. This study aims to develop a machine learning-based classification model for toddlers' nutritional status using simple anthropometric data, namely age (in months), sex, and height (in cm). The dataset used in this study was sourced from the 2022 historical records of the Health Department and the Community-Based Nutrition Recording and Reporting System (E-PPGBM), comprising 120,999 entries categorized into four nutritional status classes: normal, tall, stunted, and severely stunted. Data preprocessing included label encoding and feature standardization. The model employed is the Random Forest Classifier, evaluated using accuracy, precision, recall, and F1-score metrics. The training results show that the model achieved a classification accuracy of 99.93% on the test data, with F1-scores for each class as follows: Normal = 0.9998, Severely Stunted = 0.9985, Stunted = 0.9975, Tall = 0.9997. Feature importance analysis indicates that height is the most influential feature in the classification task. These findings demonstrate that machine learning algorithms, particularly Random Forest, are effective for predicting toddlers’ nutritional status and have strong potential to be integrated into digital applications that support Indonesia’s stunting reduction programs. However, the model's limitation lies in its use of only basic anthropometric features—age, sex, and height—without considering additional variables such as weight, disease history, dietary patterns, socioeconomic status, or immunization history, which may also influence a child's nutritional status. To improve the model's accuracy and relevance, it is recommended to incorporate other related features, such as body weight, nutritional intake, health history, and social-economic indicators, in future research.

Abstract

This work aims to determine the relationship between Wordwall learning and the interests and learning outcomes of class V SD Gugus 1, Bontomarannu District, Gowa Regency. The study used a quantitative approach with Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The sample consisted of 50 students with purposive sampling, consisting of an experimental class (using Wordwall) and a control class (using conventional methods). Data were obtained through questionnaires, while the results were obtained from pretest and posttest tests. Data analysis was carried out using descriptive and inferential statistics, including normality, homogeneity, t-test, ANOVA, and MANOVA tests. The results showed that digital-based learning with the help of Wordwall had a significant effect on increasing students' interests and learning outcomes. The average score of students' interests and learning outcomes in the experimental class was higher than in the control class. The MANOVA test showed significance at a value of 0.001 (<0.05), which confirmed that Wordwall was effective in increasing students' interests and learning outcomes in social studies.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine how to implement the demonstration method in teaching fiqh on wudhu, and to analyze the extent to which the application of this method can help improve the learning achievement of seventh grade students at MTs Al-Ma'arif Mujur Praya Timur. This study used a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The research informants included the principal, fiqh teachers, and seventh grade students at MTs Al-Ma'arif Mujur Praya Timur. The results showed that the demonstration method was implemented by the teacher demonstrating the procedure for wudhu directly in front of the students, then asking the students to imitate it in turns while being guided and corrected if there were any mistakes. This process enables students to not only understand the theory but also be able to practice wudu correctly. The application of the demonstration method has been proven to help improve student learning achievement, both in cognitive aspects (knowledge of the pillars and requirements of wudu), affective aspects (interest, motivation, and positive attitudes in learning), and psychomotor aspects (skills in practicing wudu in accordance with Islamic law). Therefore, it can be concluded that the demonstration method is an effective learning strategy in improving students' understanding and skills in fiqh learning.

Abstract

Social studies education not only provides factual knowledge but also equips students with a deep understanding of the social, cultural, and environmental realities in which they live. The project-based learning model has significant potential to enhance student learning activities, which in turn can positively contribute to social studies learning outcomes. Therefore, this study intends to examine the effect of the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model on student learning outcomes in social studies. The research method used a quasi-experimental method with a nonequivalent control group design. The study population was fifth-grade students from nine elementary schools in Cluster I, Parangloe District, Gowa Regency. The sample was taken from elementary schools Inpres Pakkolompo and elementary schools Inpres Jenemadinging using a random sampling technique, with a total of 41 students. Data was collected through observation and objective tests, then analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. The results showed a significant effect of the implementation of the PjBL model on student activity, cooperative character, and learning outcomes. Based on the significance value (sig) obtained of 0.013, which is smaller than the commonly used alpha value (0.05), it was concluded that the implementation of the PjBL model significantly influenced learning outcomes. This study demonstrates the effectiveness of the project-based learning approach in improving student academic achievement. This study recommends the implementation of the PjBL model to increase student engagement and improve student learning outcomes in social studies in elementary schools.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi hasil belajar yang diperoleh siswa dalam menyusun teks diskusi, keterlaksanaan pembelajaran scramble dan respon siswa saat model pembelajaran scramble diterapkan pada materi teks diskusi pada siswa Kelas VIII SMP Negeri 5 Singkawang. Penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kuantitatif metode eksperimen dengan bentuk penelitian Pre-Experimental. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII D di SMP Negeri 5 Singkawang. Objek penelitian meliputiteks narasi dan respon siswa kelasVIII D di SMP Negeri 5 Singkawang. Hasil penelitian didapatkan bahwa menujukan 1) hasil belajar menyusun teks diskusi pada tahap awal, dengan rata-rata 57,083 dan hasil belajar pada tahap akhir, dengan rata-rata 69,167. Berdasarkan hasil rata-rata ini, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran scramble memberikan dampak yang signifikan pada hasil belajar menyusun teks diskusi. 2) Keterlaksanaan dalam penelitian mencapai 85% pada pertemuan pertama dan 82,60% pada pertemuan kedua. Ini disebabkan oleh banyaknya guru yang memberikan pernyataan keterlaksanaan pada lembar observasi keterlaksanaan dengan memberikan tanda (√) pada setiap item yang tersedia. Hasil tersebut akan memenuhi kriteria dengan baik jika dilihat dari tabel keterlaksanaan. 3) Setelah angket respons siswa dibagikan, diperoleh hasil sangat setuju (SS) 58,478% dan setuju (S) 26,086%. Hasil ini digabungkan ke dalam kategori sangat setuju (SS) dan setuju (S), dan skor persentasenya adalah 84,564. Hasil ini akan termasuk dalam kriteria sangat senang.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the effect of Wordwall-based learning media on students' motivation in Social Studies among fourth-grade students at Gugus II Elementary Schools, Biringkanaya District, Makassar City. The study employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design, specifically the Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The research sample consisted of 41 students, with 20 students in the experimental class receiving instruction via Wordwall-based media, and 21 students in the control class undergoing traditional teaching methods. Students' motivational data were collected using closed questionnaires and analyzed using an Independent Samples T-Test in the JASP statistical software. The results indicated that the use of Wordwall-based learning media significantly increased students' learning motivation, demonstrated by a p-value of less than 0.001. These findings imply that educators should integrate technology-based instructional media to enhance student motivation and engagement in Social Studies learning.

Abstract

Student motivation is crucial for effective learning, especially in Social Studies (IPS), where understanding complex social concepts is key. This study examines the impact of the Think Talk and Write (TTW) learning model supported by video media on the learning interest of fourth-grade students at Elementary School D Cluster 2, Bontomarannu District, Gowa Regency. Using a quasi-experimental design, the experimental group received TTW with video assistance, while the control group followed conventional teaching. Learning interest was measured through a validated questionnaire before and after the intervention. Results showed a significant increase in the experimental group’s interest, rising from moderate to high, whereas the control group’s improvement was marginal. The TTW model combined with video media enhanced cognitive and affective engagement by encouraging reflection, discussion, and writing, supported by interactive multimedia. This approach also minimized variability in student motivation, promoting consistent engagement. The findings support the effectiveness of cooperative learning augmented by multimedia in enhancing motivation in primary Social Studies, especially where innovative methods are limited. This study provides empirical evidence encouraging educators to adopt multimodal, learner-centered strategies. Further research should investigate long-term impacts and qualitative student experiences.
