Abstract

Automatic Identification System (AIS) is a ship transponder that uses MMSI data, speed, position, destination, ship type, and size to locate, track, and monitor ships. Only Vessel Traffic Services (VTS) and a few other agencies can be supervised presently. This is one of the issues that must be resolved. To resolve this issue, hardware that can receive AIS signals at 161.975 MHz and 162.025 MHz and convert them into information signals is required. RTL-SDR is hardware capable of receiving signals in the frequency range of 25-1700 MHz. Its antenna is used to achieve maximum signal reception by establishing a direct line of sight to the AIS data source. Yagi antennas can only receive signals from a single direction, the front. Low Noise Amplifier (LNA) is also used in order to optimize the signal received by the antenna. The signal can be processed and decoded using SDR-Sharp and AISMon to provide data that can be plotted on OpenCPN. The performance of the AIS data decoding process is controlled by the strength and weakness of the signal that the RTL-SDR receiver can receive. Therefore, the antenna and receiver must be placed in a clear line of sight (LOS) with the ship's AIS transponder emitting source. It is envisaged that this monitoring system would make it easier to monitor ships in real-time

Abstract

Information technology plays a crucial role in meeting the aspirations of people seeking knowledge in higher education institutions. One effective strategy to showcase the unique features of each university is by employing a Virtual Reality Website 3600. Through this Virtual Reality Website, prospective students, visitors, and the general public can experience a more immersive understanding of the facilities and lecture rooms in the Department of Electrical Engineering at Sriwijaya State Polytechnic (POLSRI). Users can feel as if they are physically present and interact with the college environment virtually using the 3600 camera technology. In this research, to ensure the security of user data and prevent potential security threats, a One-Time Password (OTP) security mechanism is implemented on the website. The OTP system provides temporary access with unique codes generated each time a user accesses the website. This measure is taken to safeguard user data from unauthorized access and potential information leaks. The outcomes of this study will contribute to introducing users to the Virtual Reality Website 3600 technology and aid the Department of Electrical Engineering at POLSRI in virtually showcasing their facilities and lecture rooms to prospective students in an engaging manner.

Abstract

In order to remove trust presumptions towards the internal network, this study addresses the use of the Zero Trust Model in SSH (Secure Shell) security. The study approach is conducting tests by incorporating the Kerberos and OpenLDAP protocols into the SSH infrastructure. While OpenLDAP acts as a central directory for user management and permission access, Kerberos is utilized for single authentication and security resources like Kerberos tickets. As the server operating system for this investigation, Debian was used. Strong justification exists for securing SSH with Kerberos and OpenLDAP. SSH protocol assaults commonly target the standard port 22 (SSH), which is used for SSH. To ensure the security and integrity of the server system, the SSH port must be protected with Kerberos and OpenLDAP. SSH access is limited by Kerberos single authentication, which lowers the possibility of brute-force assaults and password theft. User administration and authorisation are facilitated by the integration of OpenLDAP. Implementing the Zero Trust strategy enables strong authentication and defends the system from insider threats. The system is protected from internal and external network assaults thanks to robust authentication, accurate authorisation, and isolating internal and external networks. An essential step in maintaining the security of the server system, data integrity, and information confidentiality is to secure port 22 and improve SSH with this integration. The research findings show that applying the Zero Trust model through this protocol integration greatly improves system security, resulting in better authentication and authorisation.

Abstract

The church, as a representation of God's family, should actively provide support and guidance to individuals who have been released from prison and are capable of reintegration into society. Unfortunately, in reality, many churches fail to demonstrate acceptance towards former inmates, which leads to their isolation and drives them to seek support in less positive environments. This study utilizes a literature review approach, involving the search, selection, and evaluation of published materials like books, academic journals, articles, theses, and prior research reports relevant to the subject. The findings from this method reveal that the church's role as God's family remains largely unfulfilled, especially concerning those individuals labeled as 'ex-convicts.' Hence, it is imperative for the church to rekindle its commitment to embracing, loving, and guiding former prisoners through spiritual and social assistance, recovery and rehabilitation programs, community empowerment initiatives, and by offering hope and forgiveness to those seeking redemptionBAHASA INDONESIA ABSTRACT: Gereja sebagai keluarga Allah harus berperan dalam memberikan dukungan dan bimbingan kepada para mantan narapidana yang sehat setelah mereka dibebaskan dari penjara.

Abstract

Employee performance is an essential factor influencing success. In an organization, this is one of the most critical functions of a company. This study aims to determine the variables that affect employee performance and develop a theoretical basis and research model. This study used an associative descriptive quantitative method with a population of 56 respondents drawn into a sample using non-probability sampling, using the saturated sampling / total sampling method. Data analysis techniques using linear regression with the help of SPSS software version 26. The results of this study show that the first hypothesis of the work environment does not affect employee performance. Thus, the second hypothesis states that occupational health safety significantly influences employee performance. The third hypothesis is that employee performance is influenced by the work environment and occupational health safety, which can simultaneously improve employee performance. This research is expected to make theoretical contributions to the literature in this context, certainly in the context of human resource management.

Abstract

Abstract Tofu is a food product in the form of soft solids made through the process of processing glycine-type soybeans by depositing protein, with or without the addition of other permitted ingredients. The problems found were during the soaking of soybeans, the water used was cloudy and workers smoked during the tofu printing process. The tofu making process requires the HACCP system to be implemented to be able to control the danger points in each tofu making process. This type of research is descriptive which was carried out at the Home Industri Tahu MD Kampung Sawah, Lubuk Basung District. This research was carried out in December 2021 – Juni 2022 with the research subjects including workers, materials and tools and the object of research includes the tofu making process. The data collection techniques carried out are observations and interviews and are analyzed univariately. The results showed that the hazard analysis in making tofu includes physical, chemical and biological hazards with the most risk categories, namely high contained in the process of cooking, filtering, clumping and printing tofu. Critical control points (TKK) are obtained in 3 tofu making processes, namely the filtering process, clumping and tofu printing. Critical Limits include the absence of sweat splash contamination by workers, workers no longer smoking which can cause the entry of cigarette ash into tofu juice and the use of vinegar acid (CaSO4) according to dosage and needs. Based on the results of the study, it is hoped that the management of the Home Industry knows MD to hold training on the application of HACCP to workers so that workers know and can minimize what dangers can arise during the tofu making process.
