Abstract

Maintaining physical health is crucial, and one way to achieve this is through regular exercise. Boxing is a suitable choice as it not only helps maintain fitness but also serves as self-defense, relying on punching skills. Previously, a device was developed to measure kick strength, but its results were only accessible via a localhost web interface, limiting access from other devices. This study aims to design a device for measuring the quantity and strength of punches in boxing, accessible anywhere via the internet. The device utilizes piezoelectric sensors with a web interface for measurement. In addition to piezoelectric sensors, it incorporates Arduino Mega, LCD, and ESP32. Sensor accuracy testing showed an average error rate 5.09% and 0% data transmission failure. Over 60 seconds in 30 trials, an average of 90 punches were recorded with an average punch strength of 800.

Abstract

Consumer preferences for vegetables reflect the decision to buy them in traditional vs contemporary marketplaces, impacted by several circumstances. This article analyzes the impact of pricing, product quality, product completeness, facilities, and services on vegetable purchasing in modern and traditional marketplaces, utilizing the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) approach within the Smart-PLS 4.0 program. The research utilized primary data collected from 96 participants across six modern and traditional marketplaces in Medan City. The findings of this study reveal disparities in the factors influencing traditional and modern marketplaces. In conventional marketplaces, price, product variety, and service substantially influence customer preferences for vegetables, although product quality and amenities do not significantly impact these choices. In contemporary marketplaces, product quality, facilities, and services substantially influence customer preferences for purchasing vegetables, although price and product completeness have no major impact on these choices. Affordability, product comprehensiveness, and service quality are essential considerations for consumers shopping in traditional marketplaces. This component must be sustained to be competitive in contemporary markets. Moreover, amenities are a crucial issue to consider for the coexistence of traditional markets alongside modern marketplaces.

Abstract

Automatic Identification System (AIS) is a ship transponder that uses MMSI data, speed, position, destination, ship type, and size to locate, track, and monitor ships. Only Vessel Traffic Services (VTS) and a few other agencies can be supervised presently. This is one of the issues that must be resolved. To resolve this issue, hardware that can receive AIS signals at 161.975 MHz and 162.025 MHz and convert them into information signals is required. RTL-SDR is hardware capable of receiving signals in the frequency range of 25-1700 MHz. Its antenna is used to achieve maximum signal reception by establishing a direct line of sight to the AIS data source. Yagi antennas can only receive signals from a single direction, the front. Low Noise Amplifier (LNA) is also used in order to optimize the signal received by the antenna. The signal can be processed and decoded using SDR-Sharp and AISMon to provide data that can be plotted on OpenCPN. The performance of the AIS data decoding process is controlled by the strength and weakness of the signal that the RTL-SDR receiver can receive. Therefore, the antenna and receiver must be placed in a clear line of sight (LOS) with the ship's AIS transponder emitting source. It is envisaged that this monitoring system would make it easier to monitor ships in real-time

Abstract

In order to remove trust presumptions towards the internal network, this study addresses the use of the Zero Trust Model in SSH (Secure Shell) security. The study approach is conducting tests by incorporating the Kerberos and OpenLDAP protocols into the SSH infrastructure. While OpenLDAP acts as a central directory for user management and permission access, Kerberos is utilized for single authentication and security resources like Kerberos tickets. As the server operating system for this investigation, Debian was used. Strong justification exists for securing SSH with Kerberos and OpenLDAP. SSH protocol assaults commonly target the standard port 22 (SSH), which is used for SSH. To ensure the security and integrity of the server system, the SSH port must be protected with Kerberos and OpenLDAP. SSH access is limited by Kerberos single authentication, which lowers the possibility of brute-force assaults and password theft. User administration and authorisation are facilitated by the integration of OpenLDAP. Implementing the Zero Trust strategy enables strong authentication and defends the system from insider threats. The system is protected from internal and external network assaults thanks to robust authentication, accurate authorisation, and isolating internal and external networks. An essential step in maintaining the security of the server system, data integrity, and information confidentiality is to secure port 22 and improve SSH with this integration. The research findings show that applying the Zero Trust model through this protocol integration greatly improves system security, resulting in better authentication and authorisation.

Abstract

The church, as a representation of God's family, should actively provide support and guidance to individuals who have been released from prison and are capable of reintegration into society. Unfortunately, in reality, many churches fail to demonstrate acceptance towards former inmates, which leads to their isolation and drives them to seek support in less positive environments. This study utilizes a literature review approach, involving the search, selection, and evaluation of published materials like books, academic journals, articles, theses, and prior research reports relevant to the subject. The findings from this method reveal that the church's role as God's family remains largely unfulfilled, especially concerning those individuals labeled as 'ex-convicts.' Hence, it is imperative for the church to rekindle its commitment to embracing, loving, and guiding former prisoners through spiritual and social assistance, recovery and rehabilitation programs, community empowerment initiatives, and by offering hope and forgiveness to those seeking redemptionBAHASA INDONESIA ABSTRACT: Gereja sebagai keluarga Allah harus berperan dalam memberikan dukungan dan bimbingan kepada para mantan narapidana yang sehat setelah mereka dibebaskan dari penjara.
