Abstract

Waste is a serious issue facing the world today, with increasing human activity and global economic growth. One important step in waste management is the classification process, which aims to separate types of waste based on their characteristics so they can be recycled, processed, or disposed of properly. Previous research has shown that Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN) are effective algorithms for multi-class classification. Therefore, this study develops an optimized CNN model for automatic waste classification, with a primary focus on improving accuracy through modifications to the CNN architecture. The dataset used consists of 17,366 waste images from various sources, which are then divided into training and testing data after undergoing preprocessing to ensure good data quality before training the model. However, one of the main challenges in developing a CNN model for multi-class classification is the risk of difficulty in learning class features, especially when the model is faced with too many classes. To address this issue, this study implements a strategy by adding convolutional layers to the CNN architecture. This method aims to deepen the network to capture more complex features from the given data, which in turn can improve the model's generalization to new data. Evaluation results show that the modified CNN model achieved a training accuracy of 88% after 40 epochs, with a testing accuracy of around 83%. This research not only contributes to the development of more advanced automatic waste classification technology but also provides a strong foundation for further research in this field. With increased waste management effectiveness, it is hoped to have a positive impact on the environment and public health as a whole..

Abstract

Traffic accidents in Indonesia are a serious issue with a high number of fatalities, and one of the main causes is microsleep, which is a brief moment of sleep while driving. To address this problem, this research has developed a sleePIness detection system based on the Internet of Things (IoT) using a Raspberry PI and a webcam, utilizing the Support Vector Machine (SVM) algorithm. The system is designed to detect the driver’s eye condition and provide a warning through a buzzer if the eyes are closed for more than 3 seconds. The research results indicate that the SVM model with a polynomial kernel has a training accuracy of 85.04%, demonstrating its ability to classify eye data into "opened" and "closed" categories. Evaluation with various SVM kernels, including linear, radial basis function (RBF), and polynomial, shows that the polynomial kernel performs the best with an accuracy of 85%, precision of 86%, and recall of 85% in detecting closed eyes. Although the system is effective in real-time detection of driver sleePIness, challenges remain with lighting conditions and camera positioning. Further testing is needed to improve the reliability and accuracy of the system in various situations. By providing early warnings to drivers, this system has significant potential to enhance road safety and prevent accidents caused by drowsiness.

Abstract

Metode pembelajaran merupakan bagian dari kurikulum yang dirancang untuk dilaksanakan oleh suatu lembaga pendidikan dalam menyelenggarakan pendidikan. Lembaga pendidikan dengan kurikulum berbasis Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) melaksanakan pembelajaran yang menggunakan metode pembelajaran berbasis Pendidikan Agama Islam pada semua mata pelajarannya, demikian pula pada mata pelajaran Seni Budaya yang merupakan salah satu mata pelajaran di sekolah. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengkaji metode pembelajaran pada pelajaran seni budaya di Dayah Terpadu Inshafuddin Banda Aceh yang kurikulumnya dirancang berbasis Islami. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif melalui studi langsung dan observasi. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi dengan validitas data menggunakan triangulasi dan proses analisis data meliputi tiga alur kegiatan sebagai satu sistem yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan metode pembelajaran seni budaya di SMA Dayah Terpadu Inshafuddin Banda Aceh menerapkan prinsip yang mengacu pada penerapan batasan pada materi praktik yang sesuai dengan kaidah Dayah dan menjunjung tinggi prinsip syariat Islam. Metode pembelajaran seni budaya secara garis besar hampir sama dengan pembelajaran yang dilaksanakan di sekolah umum, perbedaannya adalah batasan lingkup bahan ajar dan metode pemilahan kelas dalam praktik seni. Materi seni rupa hanya diperbolehkan menggambar ragam hias dan pemandangan alam, tidak diperbolehkan menggambar bentuk tubuh manusia dan hewan. Materi tari bermuatan praktik, siswa laki-laki diberi tugas menggambar, siswa perempuan diruang terpisah diberikan materi latihan tari yang memiliki nilai-nilai Islami seperti tari ratep meuseukat dan tari ratoeh jaroe. Dari seni musik, semua siswa hanya diperbolehkan memainkan musik tradisional rapai/rebana. Materi drama hanya memperbolehkan drama diajarkan dengan cerita islami.

Abstract

Banjir merupakan bencana yang paling banyak terjadi pada tahun 2022 di Indonesia. Berdasarkan laporan Badan Nasional Penanggulangan Bencana (BNPB), jumlah bencana banjir setara 43,1% dari total kejadian bencana nasional sekitar 1.524 kejadian. Salah satu wilayah yang secara berulang terkena dampak banjir selama periode 2022 hingga 2023 adalah Sumatera Selatan sebanyak 99 kali. Dalam upaya penanggulangan masalah ini, teknologi machine learning dapat digunakan sebagai alat pendeteksi dan peringatan dini terhadap banjir, salah satunya Algoritma SVM. Dalam penelitian ini, kinerja berbagai kernel SVM dinilai, dan kernel dengan kinerja terbaik dipilih untuk digunakan dalam sistem deteksi banjir. Penelitian ini mengkategorikan status banjir dengan tiga label klasifikasi: "aman," "waspada," dan "bahaya". Dalam upaya membangun model prediksi status banjir, berbagai algoritma SVM seperti linear, polynomial, RBF, dan sigmoid diimplementasikan menggunakan dataset publik. Lalu akan diuji dengan alat deteksi banjir yang terdiri dari dari arduino uno, nodemcu, dan berbagai sensor seperti sensor ultrasonik, sensor debit air, sensor curah hujan, sensor suhu dan kelembaban. Evaluasi dilakukan melalui pengukuran akurasi, presisi, recall, F1-Score, kurva ROC, dan Cross-Validation. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan bahwa model SVM dengan kernel polynomial terpilih sebagai model deteksi yang optimal dibandingkan dengan kernel lainnya. Model ini mencapai akurasi pelatihan dan pengujian sebesar 1.0, waktu pelatihan hanya 0.0012 detik, waktu prediksi 0.0002 detik, serta presisi, recall, dan F1-score sebesar 1.0. Selain itu, cross-validation juga mencapai 1.0 dalam mengklasifikasikan data banjir. Pengujian pada alat digunakan 131 data uji dengan hasil akurasi sebesar 1.0. Hasil klasifikasi dan data sensor disajikan melalui aplikasi Android, memudahkan dalam pemantauan banjir.

Abstract

Indonesia is a country with a population of 270.20 million people recorded at the Central Statistics Agency in September 2020. Based on the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) reported, the United Nations (UN) body, the number of world internet users in 2018 was 3.9 billion, exceeding half the world's population. Today the position of the internet continues to be significant in social, economic, and political life in a globalized world. Every year the internet continues to influence human life. Therefore we need research on forecasting the number of broadband users in the future to find out the number of users will increase or decrease as well as planning for Indonesian broadband. This forecasting research uses, using a comparison, namely the double exponential smoothing method with two different alphas and two betas, then the single exponential smoothing method with two different alphas. The double exponential smoothing method with alpha 0.2 betas 0.4 with the result that the MAD, MSE, MAPE values are smaller than single exponential smoothing with the first part alpha 0.8 and the second part alpha 0.5 and smaller than the double method exponential smoothing with alpha 0.6 betas 0.2. After getting the best value from the double exponential smoothing forecasting method, the prediction process is continued using the decision tree method, namely the ID3 algorithm for decision making every year from 2000 to 2024 to expand bandwidth or by not expanding bandwidth with the result that there are 19 years to expand bandwidth and there are 6 years for the decision not to expand the bandwidth.

Abstract

State Polytechnic of Sriwijaya is one of the universities that organize vocational education in Indonesia, by having a variety of laboratories to support its education. One of them is the Laboratory of Telecommunication Engineering Study Program, which has assets in the form of equipment/instruments used by its students to carry out practical activities based on predetermined courses. However, the current borrowing equipment system in the laboratory still uses a manual system, where students are required to fill out a loan form provided by the laboratory technician. In this case, the use of website-based applications as a medium for stock information and lending activities is expected to be an alternative in the inventory process. The prototype method is used in application development. Web-based applications are designed using the Laravel framework. After testing using a black box, it shows that all the functionality of the application system that has been designed runs properly and well. From the test results, the QR Code and RFID can display the scan results in the application quickly. A web-based inventory application with QR Code and RFID technology can assist in monitoring inventory and the process of borrowing equipment in the Telecommunication Engineering Study Program laboratory.

Abstract

Kajian ini tentang sistem cerdas berbasis Internet of Things (IoT) yang dikembangkan untuk meningkatkan efisiensi dan efektifitas budidaya jamur tiram melalui pengawasan suhu dan kelembaban. Melalui perangkat ini, upaya pengendalian lingkungan pertumbuhan jamur tiram dapat dioptimalkan dengan mengintegrasikan sensor suhu dan kelembapan, mikrokontroler, dan aplikasi Blynk. Perangkat mampu menjaga kelembaban dalam kisaran yang diinginkan, yaitu antara 70% hingga 90% selama percobaan selama 10 hari. Hasil percobaan menunjukkan peningkatan hasil panen jamur tiram. Notifikasi secara real-time pada LCD dan aplikasi Blynk memastikan kondisi lingkungan yang tepat untuk pertumbuhan jamur tiram secara optimal. Teknologi IoT terbukti sebagai solusi yang efektif dalam meningkatkan kualitas budidaya jamur tiram.

Abstract

This study examines the implementation of a combination of Naïve Bayes, TF-IDF, and cosine similarity algorithms in detecting plagiarism in journal articles. Technological advances have increased the risk of plagiarism, which poses a serious threat to the integrity of science. The purpose of this study is to explain in detail the implementation of the algorithm to detect plagiarism, as well as measure the effectiveness of its combination. The method used involves the development of a Python-based system that is implemented through a website. The dataset consists of one hundred abstracts of Indonesian-language journal articles on the Internet of Things (IoT) taken from Mendeley software. The plagiarism limit is set at a maximum threshold of 20%. Implementation is carried out through data preprocessing stages, extraction of text features using a combination of Naïve Bayes and TF-IDF, and measurement of similarity with cosine similarity. The results show that this combination of algorithms has proven to be effective in detecting plagiarism rates in journal article abstracts, providing high accuracy in measuring text similarity. The developed system is able to better extract text features through the combination of Naïve Bayes and TF-IDF, and accurately measure the similarity of text in various test scenarios. This research contributes to the development of fast and accurate plagiarism detection technology, especially in fields that require complex text analysis.

Abstract

This research presents an effective and efficient solution for tracking pets using Message Queuing Telemetry Transport (MQTT) based on radio GPS. The study creates a device and application capable of monitoring the whereabouts of pets to prevent their loss by displaying the latitude and longitude of the pet's location. This application provides real-time monitoring and exhibits high accuracy, with minimal differences in latitude and longitude compared to both animal tracking applications and Google Maps. The application's update speed is also impressive, with a delay of only 4.25 seconds. By continuously developing and enhancing this technology, it is expected to provide broader benefits to the pet-loving community.

Abstract

Technology that continues to develop has given rise to many new technologies that help humans work; one example is washing dishes. Because this work is quite time-consuming, it created an automatic dishwasher based on the Internet of Things (IoT). This tool aims to build a tool that can help homemakers complete one of their homework, namely washing tableware. This research was conducted by making a prototype design using Arduino Mega 2560 and NodeMCU and supported by Android applications using the XML programming language. In the application, there are control and monitoring features. The control feature in the application will control the number of rounds of water used, while the monitoring feature is used to monitor the water discharge used during washing. In addition, this tool also uses Firebase as a database used to store data. By incorporating sensors and technology into this appliance, a more efficient, programmable, and customized washing experience is possible. The appliance underwent 27 tests, with an overall success rate of 88,89%.
