Abstract

The role of health workers, especially midwives, is required to be able to provide MCH or family planning services and women's health throughout their life cycle both in curative or clinical hospital institutions and also in efforts MCH or family planning services that are promotive, preventive and able to mobilize community participation in maternal and child health efforts, as well as family planning in accordance with the principles of Primary Health Care (PHC) (Ministry of Health RI 2012). Public health problems are multi-causal problems, so the solution must be multi-disciplinary. Public health as an art/practice has a wide expanse. All activities, both direct and indirect , to prevent disease (preventive), improve health (promotive), therapy (physical, mental, social therapy) are public health efforts. Such as environmental cleaning, clean water supply, quality control , nutrition improvement , implementation of public health services, fecal disposal methods, waste and wastewater management, sanitation supervision and others (Ministry of Health RI, 2012).   Abstrak Peran tenaga kesehatan khususnya tenaga bidan dituntut untuk dapat memberi pelayanan KIA atau KB dan kesehatan wanita sepanjang siklus kehidupannya baik diinstitusi rumah sakit yang bersifat kuratif atau klinis maupun juga dalam upaya-upaya pelayanan KIA atau KB yang bersifat promotif, Preventif dan mampu menggerakan peran serta masyarakat dalam upaya kesehatan ibu dan anak, serta KB sesuai dengan prinsip Primary Health Care (PHC) (Depkes RI 2012). Masalah kesehatan masyarakat merupakan masalah yang multi kausal, maka pemecahannya harus secara multi disiplin. Kesehatan masyarakat sebagai seni/praktek mempunyai bentangan yang luas. Semua kegiatan baik yang langsung maupun yang tidak langsung untuk mencegah penyakit (preventif), meningkatkan kesehatan (promotif), terapi (terapi fisik, mental, sosial) adalah upaya kesehatan masyarakat. Seperti pembersihan lingkungan, penyediaan air bersih, pengawasan mutu, perbaikan gizi, penyelenggaraan pelayanan kesehatan masyarakat, cara pembuangan tinja, pengelolaan sampah dan air limbah, pengawasan sanitasi dan lain-lain (DepKes RI, 2012).

Abstract

Plaque is a soft deposit that forms a helical biofilm layer and attached tightly to the tooth surface, in which its presence requiring the use of specific control agents. The safest and most effective plaque control is to use a toothbrush and toothpaste. On the other hand, extract from Theobroma cacao L. seeds contains antioxidant and antibacterial secondary metabolites which could act as a toothpaste active agent. The aim of this research was to determine the impact of Theobroma cacao L. seeds-added toothpaste in reducing plaque index of among children. This is a non-blinding clinical experiment with a pre-test and post-test research design. The research subjects were 30 healthy children aged 8-10 years which were randomly divided into three arms (treatment and control). The results revealed that Theobroma cacao L. extract used as the active ingredient contained contains phenolics, tannins, flavonoids, terpenoids, saponins, and alkaloids. Significantly higher plaque index reductions were observed among children treated with toothpaste containing 1% (mean difference=2.060; p=0.06) as compared to control. In conclusion, the Theobroma cacao L. seeds-added toothpaste could significantly reduce plaque index among healthy children.

Abstract

Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pelatihan kepada guru Pendidikan Bahasa Arab di Kota Medan dalam pengembangan media pembelajaran berbasis teknologi, khususnya menggunakan metode CODOBAL (Comic Digital Android Base Learning). CODOBAL merupakan pendekatan inovatif yang menggabungkan elemen pembelajaran berbasis komik dengan teknologi Android, dengan tujuan meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran Bahasa Arab di tingkat sekolah. Pelatihan ini difokuskan pada penerapan konsep-konsep dasar CODOBAL, termasuk pembuatan komik digital interaktif, integrasi materi pembelajaran Bahasa Arab ke dalam format komik, dan penggunaan platform Android sebagai media distribusi. Para peserta pelatihan, yaitu para guru Pendidikan Bahasa Arab, akan diberikan pemahaman mendalam tentang potensi dan manfaat CODOBAL dalam meningkatkan keterlibatan dan pemahaman siswa terhadap materi pelajaran. Hasil dari penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi positif terhadap peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran Bahasa Arab di Kota Medan melalui pemanfaatan teknologi. Selain itu, penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan dasar bagi pengembangan lebih lanjut dalam penerapan inovasi media pembelajaran berbasis teknologi di konteks pendidikan Bahasa Arab

Abstract

A peel-off mask cosmetic product has been made from the ethanol extract of the leaves of the Moringa oliefera plant. The research method is experimental. Moringa leaf extract was obtained by the maceration method using 75% ethanol solvent. The extract is divided into six formulations, namely FI (0.5%), FII (1%), FIII (1.5%) and FIV (0.5%), FV (1%), FVI (1.5%) . The formulation for making peel off mask products uses a mixture of green tea essential oils (FIV, FV, FVI). Evaluation of Peel Off mask product preparations consists of organoleptic tests, homogeneity tests, pH tests, Hedonic tests, Irritation tests, spreadability tests. Based on the results of organoleptic tests, non-essential oil preparations in FI have a yellow color, FII has a brown color, and FIII has a brown color, where all three formulations have the aroma of Moringa leaves, while the formulation with the addition of essential oil in FIV has a white color, FV has a brown color, and FVI Brown in color, all three formulations have the aroma of green tea essential oil. The homogeneity test results of all formulations have a homogeneous texture and have a pH of 7. The hedonic test uses 10 panelists to determine the panelists' level of preference. The hedonic test results for color are 40% FI, 50% FII, 60% FIII, 100% FIV, 90% FV and 90% FVI. The hedonic test for texture is 50% FI, 60% FII, 50% FIII, 80% FIV, 100% FV, and 90% FVI. The hedonic test for aroma obtained 20% FI, 40% FII, 50% FIII, 80% FIV, 90% FV and 90% FVI. The Moringa leaf extract peel off mask does not cause irritation to the skin and has a spreadability of around 3.9 – 6.2 cm.

Abstract

Parents, especially mothers, have an important role in maintaining the health of their family members. The role of parents is very much needed in guiding, providing understanding, reminding, and providing facilities to children and their family members so that they can maintain their dental and oral hygiene. In efforts to care for teeth and mouth, the amount of information obtained by mothers will affect the efforts of the family's dental and oral health. Mothers will be better at teaching how to brush their teeth, arranging the correct snack patterns and various other efforts in maintaining the dental and oral hygiene of their family members, so that knowledge about dental and oral health will be better. The purpose of community service activities is that promotion about fluoride will increase mothers' knowledge in efforts to prevent dental caries and improve the level of dental and oral health in children. The service method with Health Promotion and Guidance About Fluoride in Efforts to Prevent Dental Caries in Children about fluoride as a promotional media to increase mothers' understanding of fluoride knowledge. The results of the Community Service activities are that knowledge about fluoride and the skills of how to brush teeth properly and correctly owned by mothers, improve the dental and oral health of their family members so that it will prevent the risk of dental caries, especially in their children. The conclusion of this activity is that there is an effort to prevent tooth decay by guiding children to always maintain the cleanliness of their teeth and mouth by brushing their teeth properly, correctly and regularly and using toothpaste containing fluoride.

Abstract

Low literacy skills lead to low interest in reading among students, especially elementary school children. One of the government's steps in an effort to increase students' interest in reading is the School Literacy Movement (GLS) program. The effort made is by reading for 15 minutes, the books read start from story books and comic books according to what elementary school children like. The purpose of this research is to foster students' interest in reading which has been lost due to the influence of globalization in this modern era. Where elementary school children nowadays play gadgets more often than reading books, especially their school books. This study used a qualitative approach with the library research method. The object of study and data analysis is carried out by reviewing several relevant journals and various reports related to the problem to be solved. The results of the study show that the literacy movement can foster interest in reading in elementary school students. Because in general children like to read stories, such as comic stories or fables that have interesting pictures.

Abstract

Introduction: Illegal possession of Indonesian identity cards (KTP) by foreign nationals (WNA) is still a problem that often occurs in the community. The requirement for a foreigner to have an Indonesian KTP is legally regulated in Law Number 24 of 2013 concerning amendments to Law Number 23 of 2006 concerning population administration. So whether the ownership of Indonesian KTP by foreigners has fulfilled the requirements of the provisions stipulated in the law.Purposes of the Research:  The purpose of the study is to examine the criminal aspects of illegal ownership of Indonesian KTPs by foreigners and discuss the legal consequences. Methods of the Research: The method used in this study is normative juridical with a statutory approach, a concept approach, and a case approach. Legal material collection techniques use literature studies and legal material processing and analysis techniques using qualitative methods.Results of the Research: The results of the study show that the criminal aspects of illegal ownership of KTP by foreigners include the criminal act of forgery which in this case the ownership is invalid or inkrah because it does not meet the requirements for ownership of an Indonesian KTP that has been regulated in Indonesian laws and regulations.In the case of having an ID card illegally so that it causes the ID card to be a fake letter, the act of forgery has its own responsibility for the criminal acts that have been committed by the perpetrator.The legal consequences of illegal possession of Indonesian KTPs by foreigners can be processed legally and subject to article 263 of the Criminal Code because the ownership of the KTP is not found in accordance with article 63 of the Population Administration Law so that the KTP is fake or legally invalid. When making an ID card, the perpetrator involves civil servants, population and civil registration and bribes to issue the ID card so that based on article 55 paragraph (1) of the Criminal Code, the perpetrator can be subject to article 5 paragraph (1) of the Criminal Law to be held accountable for criminal acts that have been committed by the perpetrators

Abstract

Pendidikan sekolah dasar merupakan awal dari mengasah kemampuan-kemampuan dasar seperti kecerdasan, pengetahuan, kepribadian, dan kemampuan berpikir, dimana kemampuan berpikir merupakan suatu kegiatan mental untuk membangun dan memperoleh pengetahuan. Namun dalam pelaksanaannya, tujuan pembelajaran seringkali belum tercapai secara maksimal karena pemilihan atau penggunaan strategi yang masih kurang tepat. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui strategi pembelajaran IPS untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan metode studi literatur. Objek penelitiannya adalah membaca buku dan jurnal yang sangat relevan dengan strategi pembelajaran IPS. Analisis data dilakukan dengan meninjau substansi dan materi Analisis Strategi Pembelajaran IPS untuk Meningkatkan Kemampuan Berpikir Kritis Siswa Sekolah Dasar. Hasil penelitian menyatakan bahwa dalam memilih strategi, pendidik harus memiliki pengetahuan yang luas tentang ilmu pendidikan dan lingkungan sekitar, karena hal ini mempunyai pengaruh yang besar terhadap masa depan bangsa.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is a relationship between running speed and long jump ability, a relationship between leg explosive power and long jump ability, a relationship between forward leg flexibility and long jump ability, and a relationship between running speed, leg explosive power, and togok flexibility in the future together with the long jump ability. The research population are students at the SD Inpres Bertingkat Mamajang II Makassar and the sample used was 40 people. The sampling technique is purposive sampling. The data analysis technique used is product moment correlation coefficient (r) and multiple correlation (R) at a significance level of 5%. As the results show that: there is a significant relationship between running speed and long jump ability as proven by the calculated r value (r0)=-0.635, there is a significant relationship between leg explosive power and long jump ability is proven by the calculated r value (r0) = 0.821, there is a significant relationship between the flexibility of the forward stroke and the long jump ability, proven by the calculated r value (r0) = 0.483, there is the jointly significant relationship between running speed, leg explosive power and forward movement flexibility and long jump ability was proven by the calculated R value (R0) = 0.833.

Abstract

Rendahnya keterampilan berbahasa menjadi salah satu hambatan dalam proses komunikasi antara lain disebabkan oleh kesalahan-kesalahan berbahasa. Maka penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memaparkan: (1) jenis kesalahan yang terdapat dalam makalah, seperti kesalahan pengungkapan dan kesalahan transfer. (2) beberapa faktor penyebab terjadinya kesalahan berbahasa. (3) Serta upaya untuk meminimalisasi kesalahan yang terjadi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu deskriptif kualitatif yang berisi penjelasan atau deskripsi yang ditulis secara rinci, dengan sampel 5 jenis makalah yang dibuat oleh mahasiswa. Hasil dari pengamatan yang dilakukan yaitu sebagai berikut: Pertama, dalam makalah yang dibuat oleh mahasiswa masih ditemukan beberapa jenis kesalahan berbahasa antara lain: kesalahan pengungkapan dan kesalahan transfer. Kedua, kesalahan berbahasa yang terjadi dalam penulisan makalah disebabkan oleh beberapa faktor seperti adanya pengaruh proses belajar yang sedang/telah dipelajari, tidak teliti saat menulis, kurangnya pengetahuan seseorang terhadap suatu bahasa, pengaruh lingkungan, atau faktor kebiasaan. Ketiga, kesalahan berbahasa yang terjadi dalam penulisan makalah dapat diatasi dengan berbagai upaya antara lain: dengan diberikannya pengetahuan yang cukup mengenai jenis-jenis kesalahan berbahasa, diberi imbauan untuk lebih mempelajari kosakata bahasa tertentu, serta lebih meningkatkan ketelitian saat melakukan kegiatan tulis menulis.”
