Abstract

The role of the principal is very important in improving the quality of education through improving teacher performance. Therefore, this study uses a qualitative approach (case study) at SMPN 29 Satu Atap Malaka, Maros Regency, to describe the principal's strategy in achieving these goals. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The findings of the study show how well the principal's plan succeeded in improving teacher performance. The approach succeeded in improving teacher discipline, creativity, and responsibility by offering incentives and rewards, supervision and evaluation, professional development, and a supportive work environment. This study concluded that the three key elements of transformative principal leadership, effective interpersonal communication, and cooperative support from all school stakeholders have a significant impact on the success of implementing teacher performance improvement techniques. These results have significant consequences for the creation of a school leadership model that focuses on improving teacher performance sustainably.

Abstract

The background of this research is that Arabic students at SD Al-Maaref Nahdlatul Ulama 003 Samaranda are still experiencing difficulties in mastering vocabulary and lack of interesting teaching aids in vocabulary teaching materials. This study aims to determine the ability to master Arabic vocabulary before and after the application of audio-visual aids and to determine the effectiveness of using audio-visual aids in mastering Arabic vocabulary in sixth grade students of Al-Maaref Nahdlatul Ulama Elementary School. 003 Samarinda. This research is a quantitative research. The type used is a quasi-experimental design with an asymmetric control group design. The population in this study were students of class VI SD Al-Maaref Nahdlatul Ulama 003 Smaranda. The sampling technique was purposive sampling obtained by class IV C with a total of 28 students as the experimental group and class IV D with a total of 20 students as the control group. This study uses data collection techniques, namely observation, documentation and tests. The statistics used to prove the hypothesis of data analysis are paired sample t-test and independent sample t-test. From the research results it is clear from the results of the descriptive analysis that the average post-test score for the experimental group using audio-visual aids was 80.20 and for the control class was 75.25. The results of the hypothesis analysis using the paired sample T test in the experimental group obtained a t value of 11.079 > 2.048 and a Sig (2-Tailed) value of 0.000, and an independent sample T test obtained a Sig (2-Tailed) value of 0.023 <0.05. Thus, it can be concluded that the use of audio-visual aids is effective in increasing Arabic vocabulary mastery at SD Al-Maaref Nahdlatul Ulama 003 Smaranda. Abstract

Waste management in the tofu industry is an important aspect in maintaining business sustainability and environmental sustainability. Solid waste from tofu production can be reused, while liquid waste often becomes a source of pollution if not managed properly. Environmental accounting is an important tool in recording and measuring environmental costs associated with waste management, but its application in small industries is still limited. Method: This study uses a qualitative approach with a phenomenological method. Data were collected through interviews with factory owners, employees, and the surrounding community, as well as direct observation and analysis of financial report documents. Data analysis was carried out through data reduction, data presentation, triangulation, and drawing conclusions. Results: The results of the study indicate that the DM93 Tofu Factory has managed solid waste well by utilizing tofu dregs as animal feed. However, liquid waste management still faces challenges, especially in the effectiveness of the Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP). In addition, the application of environmental accounting is still very limited, where environmental costs are not explicitly recorded in the financial statements. The main challenges in implementing environmental accounting include the lack of understanding of business owners, the absence of regulations requiring the recording of environmental costs, and financial limitations for investment in waste management.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tingkat kepuasan masyarakat terhadap pelayanan yang diberikan oleh Polisi Republik Indonesia di wilayah Polisi Sektor Wolo serta mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor yang memengaruhinya. Tingkat kepuasan masyarakat diukur menggunakan analisis statistik deskriptif yang menunjukkan bahwa pelayanan di Polsek Wolo secara umum berada dalam kategori sangat baik dengan rata-rata skor keseluruhan 4,63 dan standar deviasi 0,4823. Layanan pada Sentra Pelayanan Kepolisian Terpadu (SPKT), Pembuatan SKCK, serta Penerbitan Surat Kehilangan dan Izin Keramaian mendapatkan penilaian sangat baik, sementara Penanganan Pengaduan Masyarakat hanya memperoleh kategori cukup dengan rata-rata skor 2,97. Analisis normatif penelitian ini mengacu pada Undang-Undang Dasar Negara Republik Indonesia Tahun 1945 (UUD NRI 1945), khususnya Pasal 1 Ayat (3) yang menegaskan bahwa Indonesia adalah negara hukum, dan Pasal 28D Ayat (1) yang menjamin hak atas pengakuan, jaminan, perlindungan, dan kepastian hukum yang adil serta perlakuan yang sama di hadapan hukum. Selain itu, Undang-Undang Nomor 2 Tahun 2002 tentang Kepolisian Negara Republik Indonesia menegaskan tugas Polri dalam memberikan perlindungan, pengayoman, dan pelayanan kepada masyarakat (Pasal 13), serta Undang-Undang Nomor 25 Tahun 2009 tentang Pelayanan Publik yang menekankan prinsip transparansi, akuntabilitas, dan partisipasi masyarakat. Pengaruh positif dari kualitas pelayanan, integritas petugas, dan citra lembaga menunjukkan kesesuaian dengan amanat hukum tersebut, meskipun lemahnya pengaruh partisipasi publik mencerminkan belum optimalnya pemenuhan kewajiban hukum dalam melibatkan masyarakat dalam peningkatan pelayanan publik. This study aims to analyze the level of public satisfaction with police services at the Wolo Police Sector and to identify the influencing factors through a quantitative and normative approach. The results reveal that most administrative services—such as those at the Integrated Police Service Center (SPKT), the issuance of Police Clearance Certificates (SKCK), as well as lost document reporting and event permits—received very high satisfaction ratings. The average satisfaction score reached 4.63, indicating that administrative services were delivered effectively and aligned with public expectations. However, the handling of public complaints was rated only as sufficient, with an average score of 2.97. Multiple linear regression analysis indicated that service quality, officer integrity, and institutional reputation had a significant positive influence on public satisfaction. In contrast, public participation and responsiveness showed a positive but statistically insignificant effect. These findings reflect an imbalance between the effectiveness of administrative services and the responsiveness of complaint handling, which is closely tied to citizen engagement. This study emphasizes the need for reformulating public complaint mechanisms to be more transparent, accountable, and participatory as a critical step in strengthening the rule of law within police services.

Abstract

This study examines how creating multimedia content production can help ninth grade students read the Qur'an more effectively. Students of SMPN 5 Pallangga, Gowa Regency. Analyzing the efficacy of learning strategies that combine text, audio, visual, and video media is the main objective of this study. The Classroom Action Research (CAR) approach, used in this study, was carried out in two cycles: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. All research participants were ninth grade students. A. After the implementation of multimedia-based learning, the research findings showed a significant increase in the quality of students' Qur'an reading. Before the intervention, 28.94% of students met the completion criteria; in the first cycle, the figure increased to 60.52%, and in the second cycle, it increased to 89.47%. Students showed improvements in self-confidence, tenacity, and willingness to learn in addition to improving their proficiency in reading the Qur'an. These results indicate that creating multimedia content can be a useful tactic in teaching Islamic Religious Education, especially in terms of improving the standard of Qur'an reading. It is recommended that educators use this approach consistently to optimize learning outcomes, foster an engaging learning environment, and help students develop their attitudes and personalities. In addition to making learning materials easier to understand and more engaging, this method fosters a learning environment that helps students' attitudes and character development in religious education.

Abstract

Introduction: Atomic Habits Parenting focuses on small, consistent actions by caregivers to detect and prevent stunting in children. A valid and reliable instrument is essential for early detection and effective prevention. This study aims to evaluate the validity and reliability of the Atomic Habits Parenting instrument and its association with stunting prevention in children under five. This method differs from others as the consistent daily practice of small habits leads to a 37-fold improvement over one year. Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted in Jeneponto, Barru, and Sinjai Districts of South Sulawesi, Indonesia, involving 900 children aged 0-59 months. Data were collected from February to August 2024. Validity and reliability were assessed using Cronbach's alpha, sensitivity, and specificity with ROC analysis, and the association with stunting was measured using the Chi-Square test. Results: The instrument demonstrated high reliability with Cronbach's alpha values above 0.8 for all parenting practices. ROC analysis showed excellent sensitivity (75.6%) and specificity (82.3%) at a threshold score of 313.5. A significant association was found between Atomic Habits Parenting and stunting prevention (p<0.001). Conclusion: The Atomic Habits Parenting instrument is valid and reliable, with strong sensitivity and specificity. It is significantly associated with the prevention of stunting in children under five, making it a valuable tool for public health programs. Adapting this approach globally in high-stunting regions (>20%) could support a sustainable stunting reduction roadmap.

Abstract

Located in Palu City, Tadulako University is among the biggest emitters of pollution from heavy traffic. Particularly gasoline and diesel motor vehicles, transportation greatly adds to the higher emissions. This study intends to identify the elements influencing vehicle exhaust emissions and transportation activities, build a relationship model between them, compute the emissions amount, and project economic losses resulting from exhaust emissions at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Tadulako University. The results of multiple linear regression analysis on the calculation of emission load estimates and projected loss costs reveals that losses resulting from emissions at the Faculty of Economics and Business Tadulako University exceed IDR 18,668,454 annually.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas hasil belajar siswa dengan memanfaatkan media pembelajaran Microsoft Teams terhadap hasil belajar TIK materi berpikir komputasional. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas (classroom action research) dengan sampel penelitian adalah 19 siswa kelas VII 4 di SMP Negeri 1 Sinjai Tahun Ajaran 2022/2023. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan analisis data mengenai perbandingan nilai statistik, perbandingan kategori hasil belajar, dan perbandingan tingkat ketuntasan telah membuktikan terjadinya peningkatan hasil belajar siswa yang dapat dilihat melalui analisis statistik deskriptif. Rata-rata nilai siswa masih di bawah nilai Kriteria Ketuntusan Minimal sebelum menggunakan media Microsoft Teams yaitu 61.1, sedangkan setelah menggunakan media Microsoft Teams terjadinya peningkatan menjadi 83.64. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan hasil belajar siswa yang signifikan setelah diterapkannya media pembelajaran Microsoft Teams, sehingga penggunaan media pembelajaran microsoft teams dalam pembelajaran pada mata pelajaran TIK VII 4 SMP Negeri 1 Sinjai dinilai berhasil atau efektif.

Abstract

This qualitative study investigated the strategies implemented by Islamic Religious Education teachers in overcoming learning difficulties of class VIII Sipakabaji students at SMP Negeri 18 Lau Maros, Maros Regency. The results of the study showed several factors causing students' learning difficulties, including lack of interest and motivation to learn, low concentration in class, lack of discipline in learning, and lack of parental support for children's learning achievements. This condition is not experienced by all students equally, but it is a challenge for teachers in creating effective learning. Cultivating students' interest in reading is also an obstacle, considering the strong influence of social media among teenagers. The strategies implemented by teachers to overcome students' learning difficulties include individual approaches, providing motivation, and tutoring. Teachers try to give special attention to each student according to their individual needs and learning difficulties. Motivation is given consistently to increase students' enthusiasm for learning and self-confidence. Tutoring is carried out both inside and outside class hours to help students understand difficult subject matter. In addition, teachers also emphasize mastery of learning materials in accordance with the syllabus and Learning Implementation Plan (RPP). The delivery of material is carried out systematically and interestingly so that students can more easily understand and remember the material. Teachers also try to create a conducive and enjoyable learning atmosphere to increase student participation and enthusiasm in participating in learning.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeksripsikan pola komunikasi interaktif guru dalam mengembangkan kemampuan bicara anak usia dini di TKIT Al-Hidayah Kota Makassar dan bertujuan untuk menganalisis bentuk komunikasi yang berlangsung antara guru dan anak, serta bagaimana interaksi tersebut dapat mendorong perkembangan keterampilan pada anak. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Jenis data penelitian ini adalah kualitatif data yang berbentuk kata-kata diperoleh melalui berbagai macam teknik misalnya wawancara observasi dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pola komunikasi multi arah terbukti lebih efektif dalam mengembangkan kemampuan bicara anak usia dini. Terlihat dari peningkatan partisipasi aktif anak dalam berbagai kegiatan berbicara, seperti berdiskusi, bercerita, menyampaikan pendapat, serta merespon pertanyaan dan pernyatan dari guru maupun teman sebayanya. Hal ini terlihat pada saat guru berperan menjadi sebagai pendidik, pembimbing, motivator, fasilitator, model dan evaluator untuk membangun rasa percaya diri anak strategi ini tidak hanya melatih keterampilan berbicara anak, tetapi juga menciptakan suasana belajar yang menyenangkan, aman dan mendukung. Respon anak didik terhadap pola komunikasi interaktif yang diterapkan oleh guru di TKIT Al –Hidayah sangat positif dimana anak-anak menunjukkan peningkatan partisipasi aktif dalam kegiatan pembelajaran baik secara verbal maupun nonverbal.
