Abstract

This study aims to review the effectiveness of deep learning in enhancing students’ critical reasoning skills through a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach. Data were collected from Google Scholar, DOAJ, and Scopus databases covering publications from 2015 to 2025, using the keywords “deep learning,” “critical reasoning,” and “higher-order thinking.” A total of 20 selected articles were analyzed based on relevance, research design, and findings. The results indicate that deep learning effectively enhances students’ abilities to analyze, evaluate, and reflect by engaging them in meaningful and contextual learning processes. The most effective models include Problem-Based Learning (PBL), Project-Based Learning (PJBL), and Case-Based Learning, which foster collaboration and higher-order thinking. The success of deep learning implementation is also determined by the teacher’s role as a facilitator who cultivates a reflective and critical classroom culture. Therefore, integrating deep learning into instructional design is recommended as an innovative strategy to strengthen students’ critical reasoning and prepare them for 21st-century education challenges.

Abstract

This study aims to identify and analyze various research findings on the effectiveness of storytelling activities in improving reading interest among elementary school students. The research employs a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach by examining scholarly articles published between 2015 and 2025 sourced from Google Scholar, DOAJ, and Scopus. A total of 75 studies were reviewed, and 24 met the inclusion criteria based on topic relevance, research design, and discussion focus. The findings reveal that storytelling significantly enhances children’s reading interest through affective (emotional and motivational), cognitive (story comprehension and vocabulary), and social (interaction and empathy) dimensions. Storytelling not only serves as entertainment but also as a contextual literacy medium that fosters joy and engagement in reading from an early age. Furthermore, the emergence of digital storytelling platforms has expanded children’s access to engaging reading materials, thereby increasing their motivation to read. The study concludes that both traditional and digital storytelling practices play a vital role in cultivating a sustainable reading culture among Indonesian children.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan modul ajar berbasis etnomatematika terhadap pemahaman siswa pada materi satuan panjang kelas III SDN 45 Ampenan. Etnomatematika mengaitkan pembelajaran matematika dengan konteks budaya lokal sehingga konsep abstrak lebih mudah dipahami siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuasi eksperimen dengan dua kelompok, yaitu kelompok eksperimen yang menggunakan modul etnomatematika dan kelompok kontrol yang belajar secara konvensional. Data dikumpulkan melalui pretest, posttest, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil analisis menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan pada kelompok eksperimen dengan rata-rata selisih pretest–posttest sebesar 34,9 poin, sedangkan kelompok kontrol hanya 22,7 poin. Uji hipotesis menggunakan independent sample t-test menunjukkan nilai signifikansi pada posttest sebesar 0,000 < 0,05 dengan mean difference 13,333, sehingga H? diterima. Hal ini membuktikan bahwa modul ajar berbasis etnomatematika berpengaruh signifikan terhadap pemahaman siswa dalam materi satuan panjang. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa penerapan pembelajaran berbasis budaya lokal mampu meningkatkan pemahaman konsep matematis, motivasi, serta keterlibatan siswa dalam proses belajar.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis perkembangan Kurikulum Merdeka di Sekolah Dasar (SD) dalam menghadapi tantangan globalisasi, dengan menyoroti prinsip, implementasi, dan relevansinya terhadap kebutuhan pendidikan abad ke-21. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan studi kepustakaan (library research) yang dianalisis melalui analisis isi (content analysis) terhadap berbagai sumber literatur seperti jurnal ilmiah, buku, laporan kebijakan, dan artikel penelitian terkini yang relevan dengan topik Kurikulum Merdeka dan globalisasi pendidikan. Data dianalisis menggunakan model analisis interaktif Miles dan Huberman, melalui tahap reduksi data, penyajian data, serta penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa Kurikulum Merdeka hadir sebagai inovasi kurikulum yang fleksibel, berpusat pada peserta didik, dan berbasis pada penguatan profil pelajar Pancasila. Kurikulum ini memberikan otonomi lebih luas kepada satuan pendidikan dan guru dalam merancang pembelajaran sesuai konteks lokal dan kebutuhan peserta didik. Dalam konteks globalisasi, Kurikulum Merdeka berfungsi sebagai strategi nasional untuk meningkatkan kompetensi literasi, numerasi, berpikir kritis, kreativitas, dan karakter adaptif siswa terhadap perubahan global. Namun, implementasi di lapangan masih menghadapi kendala seperti disparitas sumber daya sekolah, kesiapan guru, dan keterbatasan fasilitas digital. Secara praktis, penelitian ini merekomendasikan perlunya penguatan kompetensi guru, digitalisasi sumber belajar, serta sinergi antara pemerintah, sekolah, dan masyarakat dalam mendukung implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka secara berkelanjutan. Temuan ini diharapkan dapat menjadi dasar bagi pengambil kebijakan pendidikan dalam menyusun strategi peningkatan mutu pembelajaran dasar yang relevan dengan dinamika global. This study aims to analyze the development of the Merdeka Curriculum in primary schools in responding to the challenges of globalization, with an emphasis on its principles, implementation, and relevance to the needs of 21st-century education. The study employs a library research approach, analyzed through content analysis of various literature sources such as scholarly journals, books, policy reports, and recent research articles relevant to the topics of the Merdeka Curriculum and educational globalization. Data were analyzed using the interactive analysis model of Miles and Huberman, consisting of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results of the review indicate that the Merdeka Curriculum emerges as an innovative curriculum that is flexible, learner-centered, and based on strengthening the Pancasila Student Profile. This curriculum provides greater autonomy for educational institutions and teachers to design learning that aligns with local contexts and students’ needs. In the context of globalization, the Merdeka Curriculum functions as a national strategy to enhance students’ literacy, numeracy, critical thinking, creativity, and adaptive character in facing global changes. However, its implementation in practice still encounters challenges such as disparities in school resources, teacher readiness, and limitations in digital facilities. Practically, this study recommends strengthening teachers’ competencies, digitalizing learning resources, and fostering synergy among the government, schools, and communities to ensure the sustainable implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum. These findings are expected to serve as a foundation for education policymakers in formulating strategies to improve the quality of primary education that aligns with global dynamics.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Systematic Literature Review (SLR) untuk mengkaji nilai-nilai matematika dalam permainan congklak dan tradisi berhitung lokal sebagai bagian dari praktik budaya masyarakat. Kebaruan penelitian ini terletak pada penekanan integrasi etnomatematika permainan tradisional ke dalam pembelajaran matematika sekolah dasar, yang belum banyak dijelaskan dalam SLR sebelumnya. Sebanyak 42 artikel terindeks Google Scholar, Scopus, dan Sinta (2015–2025) dianalisis secara tematik untuk mengidentifikasi konsep matematika dan makna budaya yang relevan. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa congklak memuat konsep operasi hitung, pola bilangan, geometri, peluang, serta strategi berpikir logis yang berpotensi menjadi sumber belajar kontekstual. Pendekatan etnomatematika juga ditemukan mampu meningkatkan motivasi, pemahaman konseptual, dan apresiasi siswa terhadap budaya lokal. Namun, kajian ini terbatas pada tiga basis data dan variasi kualitas publikasi yang dapat memunculkan bias seleksi. Oleh karena itu, penelitian lanjutan disarankan untuk mengembangkan model pembelajaran etnomatematika yang terintegrasi kurikulum, dilengkapi pelatihan guru dan instrumen evaluasi yang sistematis.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji secara mendalam pengaruh penerapan ice breaking dan minat baca terhadap konsentrasi belajar siswa sekolah dasar (SD) melalui pendekatan Systematic Literature Review (SLR). Sumber literatur diperoleh dari berbagai basis data terindeks, antara lain Google Scholar, Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ), ResearchGate, dan ProQuest, dengan batasan waktu publikasi antara tahun 2015 hingga 2025. Secara keseluruhan, terdapat 25 artikel yang memenuhi kriteria relevansi untuk dianalisis. Proses seleksi literatur dilakukan melalui tahapan identifikasi, penyaringan, serta analisis tematik terhadap artikel yang berkaitan dengan topik penelitian. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan ice breaking secara konsisten memberikan kontribusi positif terhadap peningkatan konsentrasi belajar siswa. Hal ini disebabkan oleh kemampuannya dalam menciptakan suasana belajar yang menyenangkan, mengurangi kejenuhan, serta meningkatkan partisipasi aktif siswa dalam kegiatan pembelajaran. Di sisi lain, minat baca juga terbukti berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan siswa dalam mempertahankan fokus, memahami materi pelajaran, serta menumbuhkan motivasi belajar. Meskipun demikian, tingkat pengaruh dan konsistensi hasil antarpenelitian masih menunjukkan variasi, yang kemungkinan disebabkan oleh perbedaan desain penelitian, jumlah sampel, serta instrumen pengukuran yang digunakan. Berdasarkan temuan tersebut, disarankan agar penelitian selanjutnya menggunakan desain eksperimen longitudinal dan instrumen pengukuran konsentrasi belajar yang lebih objektif guna memperkuat bukti empiris mengenai hubungan antara ice breaking, minat baca, dan konsentrasi belajar siswa sekolah dasar.

Abstract

This study aims to systematically examine the role of family literacy in developing the reading skills of elementary school students. The research employed a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach by analyzing national and international studies published between 2015 and 2025. Literature sources were obtained from Google Scholar, DOAJ, Scopus, and the Garuda Portal databases using the keywords “family literacy,” “reading skills,” “parental involvement in reading,” and “elementary school students.” The findings indicate that family literacy has a significant impact on improving several aspects of children’s reading skills, including reading interest, motivation, comprehension, and fluency. The most effective forms of family involvement include shared reading activities, establishing daily reading routines at home, providing reading materials, and offering emotional support for children. However, the effectiveness of family literacy is influenced by supporting factors such as parental knowledge, available time, and school support, while it is often hindered by economic constraints and limited access to reading materials. Therefore, this study emphasizes the importance of collaboration among families, schools, and the government to strengthen sustainable home-based literacy ecosystems as an integral part of national literacy policies.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of teachers and cultural literacy in the formation of tolerance attitudes among elementary school students using a qualitative method with a Literature Review approach. The literature used was obtained from reputable databases such as Scopus, DOAJ, and Google Scholar with a publication range from 2020 to 2025. The findings show that teachers play a key role as role models and facilitators in instilling human values through reflective, empathetic, and collaborative learning. Cultural literacy contributes to increasing empathy, social awareness, and respect for diversity among students. The integration of both creates a harmonious and inclusive school climate, supporting the formation of strong social character. However, most of the research remains descriptive and has not examined causal relationships or the long-term impact of cultural literacy implementation. Therefore, further research is needed to develop an integrated digital cultural literacy model and the role of teachers as a contextual learning strategy that adapts to the Merdeka Curriculum, in order to strengthen humanistic and sustainable character education.

Abstract

Inclusive education aims to provide equal opportunities for all students, yet challenges persist in foundational skills, particularly reading literacy. This descriptive qualitative study aimed to comprehensively describe the reading skills of early-grade students (Grades I–III) and the adaptive strategies implemented by teachers at SDN 20 Mataram. Data were collected through structured observation, in-depth interviews with Class Teachers and Special Assistant Teachers (GPK), and documentation. The findings, based on purposive sampling, show a heterogeneous distribution of reading skills, with a significant 30% of students categorized as Not Yet Fluent, comprising Students with Special Needs (PDBK) and regular students facing specific learning difficulties. This group primarily struggles with technical fluency, low motivation, and difficulties in phoneme grapheme association. Teachers address this gap through differentiated practices, implementing (1) Individual Learning Programs (PPI) for PDBK, (2) Multisensory and Planned Repetition Strategies to enhance technical skills, and (3) flexible classroom management, including strategic student placement. The study concludes that successful literacy development in inclusive settings is highly dependent on continuous collaboration between class teachers and GPK in designing responsive and adaptive pedagogical strategies. The implications of this research suggest that the descriptive insights into students’ reading skills and teachers’ adaptive strategies can serve as an empirical foundation for developing more effective and sustainable literacy intervention models in inclusive elementary schools

Abstract

The era of globalization presents complex challenges in the form of moral degradation and the dominance of instant culture due to technological advances, which are slowly eroding the social and ethical values ??of elementary school students. This study aims to analyze the urgency and strategies for implementing character education to develop high-quality, responsible human resources with strong resilience against the negative impacts of globalization. The research method used was a meta-analysis, reviewing eight selected relevant scientific articles, using a literature review approach to integrate previous empirical findings. The analysis results indicate that the integration of character education through Social Studies (IPS) subjects, the use of cultural stories, and extracurricular activities has proven effective in optimizing students' cognitive, affective, and spiritual development. Quantitative data from the literature review noted a significant increase in students' discipline and responsibility, moving from an initial percentage of 58.3% (sufficient category) to 87.5% (excellent category) after the character education intervention. The main conclusion of this study confirms that character education is a vital instrument that must be implemented holistically and sustainably in elementary schools to build a solid spiritual and ethical foundation, enabling students to adapt to global dynamics without losing their national identity. ABSTRAK Era globalisasi menghadirkan tantangan kompleks berupa degradasi moral dan dominasi budaya instan akibat kemajuan teknologi, yang secara perlahan mengikis nilai sosial dan etika siswa sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis urgensi serta strategi implementasi pendidikan karakter guna membentuk sumber daya manusia yang berkualitas, bertanggung jawab, serta memiliki filter yang kuat terhadap dampak negatif globalisasi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah meta-analisis dengan menelaah delapan artikel ilmiah terpilih yang relevan, menggunakan pendekatan studi pustaka untuk mengintegrasikan temuan-temuan empiris sebelumnya. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa integrasi pendidikan karakter melalui mata pelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial (IPS), pemanfaatan dongeng budaya, serta kegiatan ekstrakurikuler terbukti efektif dalam mengoptimalisasi perkembangan kognitif, afektif, dan spiritual siswa. Temuan data kuantitatif dari studi literatur mencatat adanya peningkatan signifikan pada aspek kedisiplinan dan tanggung jawab siswa, yang bergerak dari persentase awal sebesar 58,3% (kategori cukup) menjadi 87,5% (kategori baik sekali) setelah dilakukan intervensi pendidikan karakter. Simpulan utama penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa pendidikan karakter merupakan instrumen vital yang harus diterapkan secara holistik dan berkelanjutan di sekolah dasar untuk membangun fondasi spiritual serta etika yang kokoh, sehingga siswa mampu beradaptasi dengan dinamika global tanpa kehilangan jati diri bangsa.
