Abstract

AbstractThis study aimed to determine the implementation of the used of the North Kayong regional government scholarship grants for students of the social sciences education department of Fkip Untan, with descriptive methods. The type of research was qualitative. The data sources in this study were 6 social studies students majoring in social sciences. Data collection techniques in this study were observation, interviews and documentation. The results of this study can be seen that (1) the implementation of the used of the North Kayong regional government scholarship funds by students was partly in accordance with the applicable rules but there were still some that were not in accordance with the rules. (2) discrepancies in the used of scholarship funds by scholarship recipients were indicated by students who still used scholarship funds for their personal needs such as buyed bags, clothes, shoes. The main priority of scholarship funds should be used for college purposes, such as buyed books, photocopyed, printing assignments, and buyed stationery for college. (3) efforts made by the scholarship management to avoid inconsistencies in the used of scholarship funds, namely by monitoring evaluations on each semester and making accountability reports for the used of scholarship funds by students to find out in their used each semester.Keywords: Comdev Students, Local Government Assistance, Scholarship.

Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to determine the effect of interpersonal communication skills to students learning motivation in class XI IPS SMA Negeri 6 Pontianak. This research was quantitative research with ex-postfacto research. The sample in this study was student of XI IPS SMA Negeri 6 Pontianak, totaling 86 students. The data were collected by using questionnaire has been test for validity and reliability. The techniques analysis data used normality test, linearity test, simple linear regression and hypothesis test with the SPSS version 16.0. The results of this study show the most students have social skills in the medium category. It wasproven that 12.79% students in low category, 77.90% students in the medium category, and 9.30% students in high category. The learning motivation of students in class XI IPS was mostly in the medium category shown from the percentage of research results, was 18.60% students in low category, 66.27% students in medium category, and 15.11% students in high category. This research have a positive influence between interpersonal communication skills to student learning motivation with a regression equation that was Y = 26.437 + 0.537X. The result  of hypothesis test showing that the significant value (sig) of 0,000 is smaller than the level of significance (a) set at 0.05. It means that H0 was rejected and Ha was accepted. It can be concluded that interpersonal communication skills significantly influence to student learning motivation in  class XI IPS SMA Negeri 6 Pontianak.Keywords: Interpersonal Communication Skills, Learning Motivation

Abstract

Abstrak:  Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektif atau tidaknya media permainan monopoli terhadap peningkatan keaktifan siswa pada pembelajaran akuntansi di SMA Santo Fransiskus Asisi Pontianak. Bentuk penelitian ini adalah Quasi Experimental Design. Berdasarkan hasil test pada materi sebelumnya didapatkan kelas XI IPS 2 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas XI IPS 4 sebagai kelas kontrol. Alat pengumpulan data yang digunakan terdiri dari lembar pengamatan observasi, pedoman wawancara dan lembar catatan dan dokumen (post-test). Berdasarkan analisis data skor pengamatan menggunakan uji T (? = 5%) diperoleh nilai Asymp.Sig (2-tailed) sebesar 0.005, menunjukkan adanya perbedaan skor pengamatan pada kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol pada pembelajaran akuntansi. Hasil effect size pada skor pengamatan aktivitas adalah senilai 0,61 menunjukan efek yang ditimbulkan penggunaan media permainan monopoli terhadap keaktifan siswa tergolong sedang. Kemudian effect size dari data hasil belajar siswa adalah 0,94, menunjukkan efek yang ditimbulkan penggunaan media permainan monopoli akan hasil belajar siswa kategori tinggi.   Kata kunci: Permainan Monopoli, Keaktifan Siswa, Pembelajaran Akuntansi Abstract: This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the media monopoly game to the increased involvement of the student in accounting learning in high school of St. Francis of Assisi Pontianak. Forms of this study was Quasi Experimental Design. Based on test results obtained in the previous material in class XI IPS 2 as an experimental class and class XI IPS 4 as the control class. Data collection tools used consisted of sheets of observations observation, interview and record sheets and documents (post-test). Based on data analysis using test scores observation T (? = 5%) values ??obtained Asymp.Sig (2-tailed) of 0005, shows the differences in scores observations on the experimental class and control class in accounting learning. Effect size results in a score of observation activity is worth 0.61 shows the effects of the use of game media monopoly over student activity moderate. Then the effect size of the data of student learning outcomes was 0.94, showing the effects of the use of media monopoly game will be the result of students' high category.   Keywords: Monopoly Game, Students Activities, Learning Accounting

Abstract

Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui  terdapat atau tidaknya pengaruh kemandirian belajar siswa terhadap hasil belajar ekonomi siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 20 di Kota Singkawang, Kalimantan Barat. Metode penelitian yang akan digunakan adalah metode survey dengan teknik korelasional (keterhubungan). Teknik pengumpulan data yang akan digunakan untuk memperoleh data kemandirian belajar adalah teknik komunikasi tidak langsung, sedangkan untuk mendapatkan data hasil belajar ekonomi siswa akan digunakan teknik dokumentasi. Adapun untuk mengetahui pengaruh kemandirian belajar siswa terhadap hasil belajar siswa akan digunakan rumus regresi linier sederhana dengan menggunakan komputerisasi program SPSS 16.0. Dengan menggunakan SPSS ini maka diperoleh hasil analisis data yang menyatakan terdapat pengaruh antara kemandirian belajar terhadap hasil belajar siswa sebesar 0,697 (R) dengan R Square 0,478 yang dideterminasikan dengan rumus KD = R2 x 100%  (KD = 0,478 x 100%) menjadi 47,8%, sedangkan 52,2%nya dipengaruhi faktor lain yang tidak dibahas dalam penelitian ini. Dan dalam penelitian ini terdapat tingkat hubungan cukup.   Kata kunci: Kemandirian belajar, hasil belajar ekonomi siswa.   Abstrak. This study aims to determine whether or not there is the influence of the independence of student learning to the learning outcomes of economic class VII SMP Negeri 20 in Singkawang, West Kalimantan. The research method used was survey method with correlation technique (connectedness). Data collection techniques that will be used to acquire data independent learning is indirect communication techniques, and to find economic data result of learning students will use documentation techniques. As for the independence to determine the effect of student learning to the learning outcomes of students will use simple linear regression formula by using a computerized program SPSS SPSS 16.0.Dengan have obtained results of data analysis that states there is influence between learning independence to the learning outcomes of students sebesar0,697 (R) with R Square 0,478 were dideterminasikan the formula KD = R2 x 100% (KD = 0,478 x 100%) to 47.8%, while 52.2% is influenced by other factors not discussed in this study. And in this study contained sufficient level of relationship.   Keywords: Independence learning, economics student learning outcomes.

Abstract

ABSTRACTMorphological Study of Larvae and Infection Pattern of Falcaustra kutcheri Bursey et.al.,2000 in Leucocephalon yuwonoi Mc Cord et.al., 1995 from Sulawesi. Some nematode parasitesFalcaustra kutcheri Bursey et.al., 2000 were found in alimentary tract of Leucocephalonyuwonoi, those were large in numbers in rectum and a small numbers in stomach. Both adultand larvae were collected from the host. The larvae were different on mouth structure and theshape of esophagus. Abstract

Telomer merupakan bagian ujung kromosom yang terdiri atas nukleotida non koding dan berfungsi mencegah terjadinya aberasi kromosom. Pemendekan telomer pada setiap kali siklus replikasi sel berhubungan dengan proses penuaan sel. Proses penuaan akan meningkatkan resiko penyakit autoimun. Faktor genetik dapat memicu hilangnya telomer yang diikuti dengan berkembangnya penyakit autoimun. Beberapa penyakit autoimun seperti rematoid artritis (RA), Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE) atau lupus mengalami disfungsi telomer. Pada penderita SLE telomer sel-sel darahnya mengalami pemendekan bermakna terutama pada usia di bawah 45 tahun, yaitu sebesar 35 ? 40 bp pertahun, sedangkan usia di atas 60 tahun, pemendekan telomer kurang bermakna. Tetapi aktifitas telomerase sel-sel darah pada pasien SLE cukup tinggi. Pada penderita rematoid artritis, pemendekan telomer mulai terjadi pada usia 25 ? 40 tahun. Pada rematoid artritis HLA ?DR+ mengalami pemendekan telomer 26 bp lebih besar pertahun dibandingkan HLA-DR-. Telomer pada penderita rematoid artritis laki-laki lebih pendek daripada penderita perempuan. Reduksi panjang telomer tidak berhubungan dengan lamanya menderita rematoid tetapi dipengaruhi oleh genotip HLA-DRB1. Aktivitas telomerase sel T penderita rematoid rendah sehingga mempercepat apoptosis.Telomeres are the natural ends of linear chromosomes, consisting of non coding nucleotides and function to prevent chromosome abberation, whereas aging is considered as the effect of telomere shortening due to cell replication. In addition aging will increase the risk of autoimmune diseases. Genetic factor can trigger telomere loss, followed by the development of autoimmune diseases. Dysfuntion of telomeres occurs in some of autoimmune diseases such as Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) and Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE). Telomere in blood cells of SLE patient significantly shortened in those under 45 years old, around 35-40 bps per year. However, in patients above 60 years old, no significant different is observed. Regardless the age, telomerase activity in blood cells in SLE patient is quite high. Telomere shortening occurs at the age of 25-40 years in RA patients. In RA patients, telomere in HLA ?DR+ is shortened by 26 bp higher than HLA-DR- per year. RA male patients have shorter telomere than the female patients. Reduction of telomere length is not related with the period of rheumatic but affected by HLA-DRB1 genotype. Telomerase activity in T cells of RA patient are in ssufficent and lead to advance  apoptosis.

Abstract

Sel normal akan mengalami kematian sel yang terprogram atau apoptosis.Apoptosis ini merupakan proses penting dalam pengaturan homeostasis normal sel, yang menghasilkan keseimbangan dalam jumlah sel jaringan tertentu melalui eliminasi sel yang rusak dan proliferasi sel. Terjadinya deregulasi apoptosis dapat menimbulkan keadaan patologis, termasuk proliferasi yang tidak terkontrol seperti dijumpai pada sel kanker atau keadaan yang berhubungan proses penuaan dan kematian sel.Penuaan atau kematian sel berhubungan dengan struktur nukleotida di ujung kromosom di dalam inti sel eukariot yang disebut telomer. Pada sel somatik normal terjadi pemendekan telomer seiring meningkatnya usia, termasuk stem cell yang dimaksudkan untuk pembaharuan sel. Sel somatik mempunyai program proses penuaan (aging). Telomer dipelihara dan dipertahankan oleh enzim telomerase. Stabilitas dan viabilitas kromosom memerlukan fungsi telomer yang baik dan stabil. Gangguan fungsi telomer dapat disebabkan oleh pemendekan telomer atau adanya mutasi protein telomer yang dapat mengakibatkan peningkatan apoptosis. Sebaliknya, apoptosis yang diakibatkan oleh adanya kerusakan DNA, dapat memicu terjadinya pemendekan telomer.

Abstract

Curcumin is one of the common traditional medicines that is often used for fertility regulation. Curcumin analogue, pentagamavunon-0/PGV-0, exerted similar effect with curcumin. Synthetic curcumin and PGV-0 possesses molecular structures similar to prostaglandin. It has been reported that luteal cells are able to produce progesterone in vitro by addition of several hormones such as LH and prostaglandin F2? (PGF2?). Stimulation of luteal cell cultures with LH and/or PGF2? in the presence of synthetic curcumin and PGV-0 will interfere with the progesterone production. Nevertheless, the precise site of action of curcumin remains unknown. The present study aims to determine the effect of synthetic curcumin and PGV-0 on the progesterone production by luteal cell cultures in the presence or absence of several known stimulators or inhibitors sucs as LH, PGF2? and forskolin, respectively. The results indicated that synthetic curcumin reduced the progesterone concentration significantly (p 0,05) in the luteal cell culture treated with solvent, LH and/or PGF2?, in the presence or absence of forskolin. In the groups treated with PGV-0, and induced with LH and/or PGF2?, the concentration of progesterone did not change significantly (p 0,05). Addition of forskolin on the control group resulted in higher progesterone concentration as that of LH. The findings indicated that synthetic curcumin inhibits progesterone production by the luteal cell cultures through the cAMP/PKA/MAP-Kinase signaling cascade, but PGV-0 might have the site of action in the PLC/PKC/MAP-Kinase signaling cascade.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of curcumin and pentagamavunonn-0 (PGV-0) on the viability of cultured luteal cells (percent of viable cells). The cultured luteal cells were obtained from corpus luteum of induced 12 immature Sprague Dawley rats by a single 10 IU Pregnat Mare?s Serum Gonadotropin. Subject in this study was 4 days old corpus luteum which was cultured in Minimal Essential Medium (MEM) containing 10% Fetal Bovine Serum. This experiment consisted of 12 groups, e.g. one group as control (solvent), three groups as control with LH and or PGF2 stimulation, and eight groups treated with 100 ?M curcumin and PGV-0 in three replicates. Evaluation was conducted after 24 hours of treatment by observation of viable cells with MTT method. The result showed that the viability of cultured luteal cells with curcumin or PGV-0 only was not significantly different compared to control goups. However, curcumin and PGV-0 on cultured luteal cells stimulated by LH and or PGF2 showed significant differences compared to control or LH and PGF2 only.
