Abstract

Giant prawns (Macrobrachium sp) are one of the freshwater aquaculture commodities that have high economic value (Murtidjo, 1992). The demand for giant prawns in Indonesia has only been met by 40% of all existing demand (Tambunan, 2009. The aim of the research was to analyze the abundance of giant prawns and the size distribution of giant prawns in Togafo Village, West Ternate District, Ternate City. The purposive sampling method was used in this research. Then the sampling points that had been determined using purposive sampling were marked with coordinates with the help of the Global Positioning System (GPS). For the research location, it was divided into 3 observation stations. First, the shrimp body length and weight were measured using calipers and analytical scales. Abundance relative = individual/trip and Distribution of length measurements and distribution of shrimp weight measurements can be grouped using the equation (Effendie, 1979) as follows: K = 1 + 3.3 log n. Note: K = Number of Interval Classes, n = Number of Observation Data, log = Logarithm. Based on the results, the highest abundance of giant prawns (Macrobrachium sp) is at station 3 with a value of 0.575 ind., station 1 is 0.336, the lowest is at station 2 with a value of 0.088 ind. Size Distribution The smallest ranges between 40.17-52.19 mm and the largest ranges between 105.25 – 117.27 mm.

Abstract

Ecoprint is a term that comes from the words "eko", which means "ecosystem/nature", and "print", which means "print." The ecoprint printing method uses natural dyes to print flowers, twigs and leaves on fabric. This method begins by attaching mangrove leaves to cloth, then printing the leaves and stems on the cloth. The problems faced by community groups are the lack of public knowledge about the benefits of mangroves as a business opportunity, the lack of public knowledge about techniques for making mangrove leaf ecoprints. Mitra only knows that mangrove forests function to protect beaches from waves and the wood is used as firewood. Meanwhile, the use of mangroves as dyes for ecoprint products as tourist souvenir products and increasing business opportunities for the community is not yet known. The objectives of the PKM activity are: partners can find out about the benefits of mangroves as a business opportunity, apply appropriate technology in techniques for making ecoprints on mangrove leaves and obtain types of quality ecoprint product motifs that have high selling value. The training activity for making ecoprints by utilizing the potential of mangrove forest resources around the Ngusanlenge mangrove tourist attraction area went smoothly with high participant enthusiasm. Enthusiasm for the results of ecoprint products with a variety of patterns and motifs from the mangrove leaves used. PKM activities increase knowledge and improve the skills of the community and students in making ecoprints by utilizing the potential of mangrove forests and building community enthusiasm for entrepreneurship. The ecoprint products produced include bags, tablecloths, handkerchiefs and headscarves.

Abstract

ln Togafo Village, West Ternate  District, is one of  the natural habitats for giant prawns (Macrobrachium Sp). However, in that area there are frequent catching which are not environmentally friendly by using potash so that the habitat is very disturbed by its development, even though the marpu produce giant prawns naturally well, this can be seen in the activity during fishing that too k place in Togafo Village river. The aim of this research was to determine the size distrubution and gonadal development of giant prawns prawns (Macrobrachium Sp). Sampling is done by hand and using a filter cach. Catching with hands is done by draining the water so that the shrimp can come out and to make it easier to catch. The 2 inch mesh size  filter fishing gear as a fishing aid was spread over tha water flow in Togafo Village at 2 stations. Stasion 1 is the middile of the in Togafo Waterway (border of Ave Taduma). And station 2 is in the middle of the water flow (the people’s plantation). The arrests were carried out for three months . Size distribution of the combined total length of giant prawn catches at station 1 and 2 in november ranfers from 4,4 -9,0 cm and weight rangers from 5-10 grams, in March the total length is 3,5- 8,4 cm and weight April 1-9 grams and the total  length rangers from 5,6 – 9,9 cm weighing 1-5g. Perken prawns that mature gonads at station 1 and  in November are III and IV, in March are III and April are III.

Abstract

ABSTRACTCommunity Service Program are a routine program from universities as a manifestation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education in Indonesia which refers to academic activities and involves the community directly, so that it can be useful for solving social problems that occur in society. The methods used to identify problems in society are observation, survey and documentation methods. One of the areas that is the object of KKN Universitas Sembilanbelas November Kolaka is Tanggeau Village, which still lacks information on how to obtain, use, store and dispose of (DAGUSIBU) drugs correctly and appropriately. Based on this, USN Kolaka KKN students conducted DAGUSIBU socialization using the door-to-door method in Tanggeau Village. The hope from the socialization activities is that the public can increase their understanding regarding how to obtain, use, store and dispose of drugs that are no longer needed. Socialization activities with the help of leaflet media ran systematically and smoothly. Based on the KKN activity report, the community has shown an increased understanding of the DAGUSIBU program. Abstract

Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) is a tool for solving the basic problems of equations for model flow motion. The CFD application can be used to predict the magnitude of the ship's resistance which is related to the engine power needed to move the ship. Benchmarking is the process of comparing different methods, procedures, and physical models to provide a common basis for the validation of numerical methods. This study simulates the resistance test on the LHI 007 benchmark ship model using FINE™/Marine with speed ranges 1.63 m/s – 2.47 m/s at a temperature of 27°C. The purpose of this research is to complete the simulation approach and numerical uncertainty for the previous study. By adding a time step component to the verification and validation of the uncertainty analysis, the error value gets smaller than the validation value for various speeds 1.63 m/s, 1.8 m/s, 1.91 m/s and 2.02 m/s. It shows that validation was achieved.
