Abstract

The development of remote-controlled electrical device systems has become increasingly essential, particularly in supporting the transition toward a green economy. This IoT-based system, built on the NodeMCU microcontroller, enables real-time monitoring and control of electrical power usage, helping reduce energy waste and minimize carbon emissions caused by inefficient electricity consumption. This study aims to develop an Internet of Things (IoT)-based system for controlling electrical devices using a NodeMCU microcontroller integrated with the Telegram bot platform. The system utilizes a WiFi network to receive and execute user commands in real time. The development process follows the Multimedia Development Life Cycle (MDLC), while the programming is conducted using the Arduino IDE in C++. Testing on various devices—including Samsung Galaxy, iPhone, and Xiaomi Redmi smartphones—demonstrated the system’s ability to respond to commands within 0.45 to 0.82 seconds, with a deviation tolerance of ±0.15 seconds, depending on the specific WiFi network used. No overheating occurred under maximum load conditions. Overall, the system met performance criteria in terms of speed, consistency, and reliability. The primary advantages of the system include its universal chat-based interface, low cost, and simple design, accessible from any geographical location with a stable internet connection. However, the system is limited by its dependence on electricity supply and WiFi stability. Therefore, the implementation of this system in smart homes is recommended with the support of a backup power source to improve reliability. In conclusion, the system not only fulfills technical performance requirements but also contributes to energy efficiency in alignment with green economy principles.

Abstract

A study on the age of menarche and its relation to physical growth was conducted in 1444 junior high school girls who were selected by means of stratified random sampling from districts in Jakarta. This study revealed that 1276 girls had already menarche at differet ages, 56.4% of them at the age under 13 years with 1.6% at the age 9-10 years. The mean age of menarche was 13.0 ± 1.1 years. The relationship between the age of menarche and physical growth was studied on a subsample of 301 girls consisting of 133 whose age of menarche was the same as the chronological age at the time of study, and 168 who had not yet had menarche. Comparison on physical growth was based on weight, height, MUAC, and triceps skinfold respectively. The study reveal that significant higher values on those indices were observed in girls who had already had menarche as compared to the same age girls who had not yet. The value of difference was higher in younger age group as compared to the older one. Besides that the relatively higher values of weight for height combined with higher values for triceps skinfold indicates the relative overweight in girls with younger age of menarche. This study showed that menarche may occur at less than 13 years if a girl showed faster physical growth and was relatively overweight, altough many other factors of growth and development should also be considered.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the concept of the Islamic Golden Age abbreviated as IGA, which is agreed upon by Western scholars and Muslim scholars and occurred in the history of Islamic culture and civilization. This research examines the possibility of grounding the characteristics and scientific paradigm of IGA in modern situations through several focuses of study, namely (1) the background of the development of the IGA concept, (2) the stage of development of the IGA concept, (3) the position of scientific activities in the map of cultural constellation (culture) and civilization (civilization) IGA, and (4) the characteristics and scientific paradigm of IGA. These four things are considered to be able to trigger the development stage of scientists, sciences, and inventions. The method used in conducting the research is descriptive-analytic of literature sources. This is done as a mapping of the entire overview of the IGA concept. This research approach is a history approach, both through a diachronic history approach and a synchronic history approach. In addition, it refers to the development of theories obtained deductively through literature studies. The basis of the research is then strengthened by conducting a form of inductive reasoning on the data obtained in this research in order to solve the final conclusions that are based on the data obtained.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of the Non-Cash Food Assistance Program (BPNT) and the Family Hope Program (PKH) on community welfare in Monta Baru Subdistrict, Dompu Regency. The multidimensional nature of poverty serves as the primary background for this study, highlighting the role of social assistance in reducing the economic burden of the community. A quantitative approach was employed, using a survey method with a Likert, scale questionnaire administered to 86 respondents who are Beneficiary Families (KPM). Data analysis was conducted using descriptive statistics, classical assumption tests (normality, multicollinearity, and heteroscedasticity), and multiple linear regression. The findings indicate that both BPNT and PKH have a significant influenceboth simultaneously and partiallyon community welfare, with PKH contributing more dominantly than BPNT. The coefficient of determination (R²) value of 32.1% suggests that these two programs play an important role in improving welfare, although other external factors also contribute. These findings imply that the effectiveness of social assistance programs must be supported by accurate data, ongoing mentoring, and active community participation in order to achieve inclusive and sustainable welfare.

Abstract

Optimal employee performance can create positive impacts, such as increased productivity, better work quality, and more efficient target achievement. This study investigates how transformational leadership and physical work environment affect employee performance in Indonesia’s public sector, with work motivation as a mediator. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected from all 244 employees of Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta Department of Manpower and Transmigration and analyzed via SEM-PLS. Results reveal that transformational leadership directly improves employee performance and indirectly through work motivation. While the physical work environment does not directly impact performance, it significantly enhances motivation, which in turn boosts performance. These findings underscore that psychological factors (motivation) play a more critical role than physical workspace conditions in driving performance. The study highlights the dominance of transformational leadership and motivational mechanisms over environmental factors in public sector settings. Practically, organizations should prioritize leadership development and motivational strategies rather than focusing solely on physical workspace improvements. By integrating internal (motivation) and external (leadership, environment) factors, this research provides novel insights into performance dynamics in government institutions, challenging traditional assumptions about the direct impact of physical work conditions. The findings contribute to a deeper understanding of how public sector performance can be enhanced through leadership and psychological empowerment
