Abstract

Creative thinking abilities and mathematical thinking dispositions represent critical competencies in elementary mathematics education, yet limited research examines their simultaneous development through targeted pedagogical interventions. This study investigated differences in creative thinking abilities and mathematical thinking dispositions between elementary students receiving differentiated instructional treatments. A quasi-experimental design with non-equivalent control groups was employed, involving 60 fifth-grade students from SD Negeri Sentul 1, divided into experimental (n=30) and control (n=30) groups. Creative thinking ability was measured using an essay test based on Guilford's four-dimensional framework (fluency, flexibility, originality, elaboration), while mathematical thinking disposition was assessed through a four-point Likert scale questionnaire encompassing curiosity, perseverance, open-mindedness, self-confidence, and reflectivity. Data were analyzed using independent samples t-tests following normality and homogeneity assumption testing. Significant differences emerged between groups across all measured constructs (p<0.05). The experimental group demonstrated superior creative thinking ability (M=82.6 vs. M=73.9, Cohen's d=1.18) and more positive mathematical thinking disposition (M=3.42 vs. M=2.94, Cohen's d=1.06). Elaboration showed the largest creative thinking difference (9.6 points), while open-mindedness exhibited the greatest dispositional improvement (0.53 points). Findings provide empirical evidence that targeted instructional approaches can simultaneously enhance cognitive abilities and affective dispositions in mathematics learning. The synergistic relationship between creative thinking and positive dispositions challenges traditional pedagogical models that address these dimensions separately. Results support implementing learning environments that encourage exploration, multiple solution strategies, and reflective practices to develop both mathematical competencies and positive attitudes toward mathematics in elementary education.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the evaluation imbalance between cognitive and affective domains in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning and formulate evaluation strategies based on Pancasila values to support the formation of students' religious and nationalist characters. Using a qualitative approach based on literature study and critical analysis of educational evaluation theory and practice, this study evaluates the synergy between PAI and Pancasila values in the context of learning and assessment. The results showed that: (1) PAI evaluation so far is still dominated by the cognitive domain and tends to ignore affective aspects, thus risking to hinder the internalisation of Pancasila values in learners' characters; (2) there is a strong conceptual alignment between Islamic teachings and Pancasila values, which demands the integration of both in learning evaluation instruments; (3) affective assessment has proven to be important in shaping nationalist and religious characters, but its implementation is still limited due to lack of policy support and teacher competence; and (4) the development of evaluation instruments based on Pancasila values, such as portfolios and reflective assessments, is an innovative solution that requires strengthening teacher capacity and adequate technical guidelines so that it can be implemented effectively and sustainably. This study recommends a transformation of the PAI evaluation paradigm towards a more holistic, integrative, and character-orientated approach in accordance with the noble values of Pancasila.

Abstract

The development of digital technology has had a major impact on the dynamics of Muslim households. One phenomenon that has emerged is cyber cheating, which is a form of infidelity committed through digital media. This study aims to analyze cyber cheating as a form of violation of a wife's rights from the perspective of Islamic family law. The approach used is a legal-normative one, examining classical and contemporary Islamic legal sources such as the Quran, hadith, and the opinions of jurists regarding a husband's obligation to maintain his wife's loyalty and honor. The research findings indicate that cyber cheating, despite not involving physical contact, can still be classified as nushuz or a moral violation that impacts fairness in marriage. In QS. An-Nisa verse 128, the importance of maintaining family harmony and preventing nushuz is emphasized, while KHI Article 116 provides the legal basis for divorce due to prolonged disputes. An analysis of the maqashid syariah also shows that cyber cheating has the potential to violate the objectives of sharia, particularly hifzh al-nasl and hifzh al-‘irdh. Thus, cyber cheating is not merely a moral issue but also a serious legal violation of a wife’s rights in Islam. This study is expected to contribute to contemporary Islamic legal literature and serve as a reference for family protection policies for Muslims in the digital age.

Abstract

Da'wah is an activity carried out to provide enlightenment to the community. Da'wah is designed in a variety of common ways so that people accept the teachings of Islam. Substantively da'wah invites and invites people to accept the truth. Da'wah is not an activity that contains coercion and violence. The reality of da'wah shows that da'wah is always in the midst of the cultural plurality of society. In this context, da'wah sometimes tends to be forced without considering the plurality of backgrounds. One of the factors causing tension in the community is because da'wah is not formulated wisely and often negates the facts of plurality. Therefore, da'wah is actually formulated in a friendly manner, other than because it is in accordance with the recommendations of Islamic teachings, the transfer of Islamic teachings will be very easy to do. Plurality as sunnatullah is a legacy that must be appreciated and ammunition that can be used to strengthen the process of carrying out da'wah. There is a lot of da'wah wisdom that can be explored in society from this plurality. Related to this, religious speakers who appear must be equipped with various approaches and materials for da'wah based on plurality values. Religious speakers must be responsive in responding as well as having intelligent thoughts to manage this plurality. The da'wah material delivered must be soothing and embracing all parties, not material that is harsh and tends to make society polarized and tense. The old da'wah paradigm that is oriented towards increasing the number of followers must be changed by improving the quality and standard of living of the community. Da'wah material should be more related to common challenges than material that only teaches personal piety and ignores universal humanitarian issues.

Abstract

Various internal and external factors shape students' learning motivation. This research aims to examine how gender, length of study, and the morale of lecturers and administrative staff influence students' motivation to learn. An explanatory research design was employed, with the study population comprising students from Universitas Negeri Malang and Universitas Negeri Gorontalo. A total of 572 students were selected through a cluster random sampling method. Data were gathered using questionnaires and documentation, then analyzed through descriptive statistics, analysis of variance, and structural equation modeling. The findings reveal that students' learning motivation differs significantly according to gender and study period. Lecturers' morale has a notable impact, while staff morale does not show a significant effect. These results suggest that gender, study duration, and lecturers' morale contribute meaningfully to students' learning motivation. The novelty of this study lies in identifying these three aspects as key determinants of motivation, an area that has not been extensively investigated in previous research. This insight offers valuable implications for improving the quality of teaching and learning in higher education.

Abstract

The analysis of the terms al-Jarh wa At-Ta'dil is an integral part of the study of hadith in the Islamic tradition. Al-Jarh wa At-Ta'dil is a critical method used to assess the reliability of the hadith rawi-rawi, with the aim of determining whether the hadith conveyed by them is acceptable or not. This research aims to explore the concepts, methodologies, and implications of al-Jarh wa At-Ta'dil in the context of Islamic science. This study reveals that al-Jarh wa At-Ta'dil is not just a rawi assessment, but also reflects the efforts of hadith scholars to maintain the integrity and authority of hadith as a source of law in Islam. Criteria such as honesty, intelligence, memory, and morality are the main focus in the assessment of rawi. The methodology used involves a careful analysis of the rabbi's life history, a critical approach to their statements, and comparisons with other sources. By understanding well the principles of al-Jarh wa At-Ta'dil, we can strengthen our understanding of the validity of hadith and ensure the continuity of the scientific heritage in the Islamic tradition.
