Abstract

The development of education in the 21st century requires educators and students to be able to improve critical thinking skills. The process of improving critical thinking skills requires a learning model, one of which is through a guided inquiry model. The application of the inquiry model is able to train students to have the ability to think about something new so that they can solve students' own concepts or ideas. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of the guided inquiry model on students' critical thinking skills. Data collection techniques were carried out by browsing various articles related to the inquiry model and critical thinking skills through Google, Google Scholar, and Scopus. The search results obtained 35 articles or related journals. Data analysis technique was carried out in a quantitative descriptive manner using the help of Microsoft Excel and JASP applications. The results showed that the results of the analysis using the random effect had a significant positive effect or correlation between the guided inquiry model on students' critical thinking skills in science lessons. The results of the egger test and fail safe N analysis show that there is no publication bias in the meta-analytical studies discussed, so that the analyzed meta-analytical studies can be scientifically justified.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to duscribe the factors of the low of social science learning outcomes History subject in V class in SDN Panancangan 4 Kota Serang. The materials of this study is descriptive qualitative methods, the Data collectid by observation, interviews, documentation, and student learning outcomes. Students who have low learning outcomes on average as much as 92% of students with the types of difficulties include: lack of student understanding in historical material, student lack of active in asking, then students' inability to remember material such as (mentioning names, years of administration and inheritance), and inappropriate learning strategies. The results of the study shows that generally of the low social studies learning outcomes classified into two factors that is internal and external factors, namely the factors found in students such as psychological factors in learning, motivation and concentration of learning. In addition, there are factors that exist outside of the student's self or external factors, such as the quality of parentid advisionary learning outside of school. Although the learning outcomes obtained by students are more dependent on the students themselves, it is hoped that the instructors will play a role in enhancing them, namely directing students to be able to prepare themselves physically and mentally, increase student learning concentration, give students motivation to learn, teach them strategies - learning strategies, how to be able to learn according to each style, study thoroughly, and get used to sharing with each other. Keywords: Low student learning outcomes, Material history, Social Studie

Abstract

This article results from Community Service activities, which discuss training in preparing business plans to create new entrepreneurs for economics education students at FKIP Jambi University. This study aims to provide training to students in making business plans correctly. It is hoped that training participants can prepare things that must be designed as new entrepreneurs so that they can anticipate as early as possible if undesirable things happen in their business journey. Activities are carried out in a participatory form using best practices for student entrepreneurship. The method for implementing this service adopts Deming's concept: Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA). After carrying out training by utilizing student potential, the results obtained were that students could create a draft blueprint from the effects of the activity in the form of students' understanding of preparing a media canvas business plan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengidentifikasi kesulitan mahasiswa, faktor penyebab, dan pendapat mereka tentang penerapan PjBL (project-based learning) dalam mata kuliah biologi lainnya. Penelitian deskriptif ini dilakukan pada Maret-April 2024 dengan populasi seluruh mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Biologi Universitas Jambi yang mengikuti mata kuliah mikrobiologi pada Tahun Akademik 2023/2024 sebanyak 111 orang, dan sampel berjumlah 37 orang. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah angket tertutup, dan data dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil menunjukkan 75.7% mahasiswa mengalami kesulitan dalam pembelajaran mikrobiologi menggunakan PjBL, dengan penyebab utama keterbatasan waktu (73%), kesulitan mencari dan menemukan sumber belajar yang memadai (45.9%), kesulitan memahami sumber belajar (59.5%), serta ketidakminatan terhadap PjBL (27%). Sebanyak 78.4% mahasiswa setuju jika PjBL diterapkan pada mata kuliah biologi lainnya. Kesimpulannya, mayoritas mahasiswa mengalami kesulitan dalam pembelajaran mikrobiologi dengan PjBL, terutama karena keterbatasan waktu.. Hasil ini dapat menjadi evaluasi untuk penerapan PjBL dalam pembelajaran mikrobiologi.

Abstract

This research outlines the research methodology used in a literature review on the Quality Governance Design of Good University Governance (GUG) in the education sector, with a focus on the GUG concept, performance models, and audit practices from a risk management perspective. The GUG concept is a vital framework for enhancing the quality and effectiveness of higher education institutions such as universities, with principles of transparency, accountability, participation, and ethics as its core components. This concept also emphasizes the importance of innovative ideas and the leadership capabilities of university leaders in facing global changes. Furthermore, this research discusses relevant performance models, including the Balanced Scorecard (BSC) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), which assist universities in measuring their performance through financial, customer, internal process, and growth and learning perspectives. These models help universities become more focused, transparent, and accountable in their governance. Audit practices, both internal and external, are also essential elements in higher education risk management. Internal audits help identify operational, financial, and reputational risks, while external audits ensure compliance with accreditation standards. Audit practices help universities manage risks efficiently and strengthen transparency and accountability in educational governance. This research also illustrates the integration of the GUG concept in higher education, including internal and external quality assurance, program accreditation, and sustainable quality improvement. Previous research indicates that many factors influence the quality of university governance, including government influence, leadership, and quality assurance priorities.

Abstract

This research aims to determine how the implementation of the Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics-Based Project-Based Learning Model affects the learning outcomes of students in the sub-theme of project-based activities and literacy. The research method used was a quasi-experimental two-group design at Bondongan Public Elementary School in Bogor City. The subjects of this study consist of 63 students of fifth grade. This research was conducted in the first semester of the academic year. The results of the study showed that the implementation of the STEAM-based project-based learning model had an effect on student learning outcomes in the sub-theme of project-based activities and literacy. This is evident from the N-Gain score in the experimental group of 69, while the control group obtained an N-Gain score of 39. The hypothesis testing results state that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted because t-count (14.56) is greater than t-table (1.9996). Thus, it can be concluded that the implementation of the STEAM-based Project-Based Learning Model effectively improves student learning outcomes in the sub-theme of project-based activities and literacy. It is hoped that the results of this study can provide new knowledge about how the implementation of innovative learning models can improve the learning outcomes of students in elementary school.

Abstract: Citizenship Education (Civics) in schools is very important in relation to the character building of students and a strategic role in increasing the potential of students to become good and democratic citizens based on Pancasila and the 1945 Constitution. this study aims to explore the role of Civics in overcoming bullying in schools, especially in optimizing the application of Civics in preventing bullying behavior. This research is a qualitative study using the library research method. The result of this study is that civic education has an important role in overcoming bullying, both directly and indirectly. Civic education can help students develop state awareness, have an awareness of their rights and obligations as citizens, and have the ability to deal with various situations, including bullying situations. Abstract

Biodiesel can be made by utilizing used cooking oil through a chemical process, namely through a transesterification reaction, namely changing the oil (triglycerides) into fatty acid methyl esters. Washing must be done to remove the remaining impurities in biodiesel. The dry washing method is purification by utilizing the adsorption process to remove impurities in crude biodiesel. Bentonite is an alternative adsorbent that can be used as dry washing in the biodiesel refining process because it is cheaper, abundant in nature and has a layered structure with the ability to swell. The purpose of the study was to determine the ability of bentonite activated with acid as a dry washing agent in biodiesel purification. The research method used is the dry washing process method using bentonite adsorbents. The application of bentonite adsorbent as much as 6 grams with a contact time of 3 hours is the best operating condition to produce biodiesel with a pH of 6 and a clarity value of 96.7.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan motorik halus melalui origami pada anak Kelompok B TK Kijang Rejo.Jenis penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas kolaboratif dengan menggunakan model Kemmis dan Mc Taggart. Subjek penelitian adalah anak Kelompok B yang berjumlah 16 anak terdiri dari 10 perempuan dan 6 anak laki-laki. Objek penelitian ini adalah keterampilan motorik halus. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, dokumentasi, dan wawancara. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah pedoman observasi dan pedoman wawancara. Teknik analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Indikator keberhasilan yang ditetapkan yaitu jika minimal 75% dari 16anak memiliki keterampilan motorik halus dengan kriteria baik. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keterampilan motorik halus anak meningkat setelah adanya tindakan melalui melipat kertas. Pada saat dilakukan observasi pratindakan, persentase keterampilan motorik halus anak sebesar 26,07%. Pada Siklus I sebesar 49,00% dengan peningkatan 22,93%, Siklus IIsebesar 84,00% dengan peningkatan 61,07% dari siklus I, Perolehan persentase tersebut menunjukkan bahwa keterampilan motorik halus anak Kelompok B dengan kriteria baik telah mencapai indikator keberhasilan sebesar 75%. Langkah langkah yang ditempuh untuk meningkatkan keterampilan motorik halus anak adalah 1) guru menjelaskan cara melipat kertas dengan metode demonstrasi; 2) anak diberi penguatan dengan kata “setrika lipatan” yang sudah dibuat; 3) anak diberi reward berupa pujian; 4) penggunaan kertas lipat motif untuk menarik minat anak.

Abstract

Abstrak: Anemia Salah satu masalah gizi yang banyak terjadi pada ibu hamil yang merupakan masalah gizi mikro terbesar dan tersulit diatasi di seluruh dunia. Data World Health Organization (WHO) tahun 2020 diperkirakan sekitar 33% orang di dunia menderita anemia, dengan kekurangan zat besi dianggap sebagai penyebab utama, dan anemia menyumbang hampir 9% dari tahun ke tahun dengan masalah kecacatan, Berdasarkan Data Dinas Kesehatan Kalimantan Barat   tahun 2019 ibu hamil yang mengalami anemia sebesar 12,7% dan meningkat pada tahun 2020 menjadi 13,6%. Di Puskemas Punggur prevalensi ibu hamil anemia pada tahun 2020 sebesar 13,1% dan meningkat pada tahun 2021 yaitu sebesar 15,2% . Suplementasi tablet tambah darah merupakan cara efektif untuk mengatasi anemia karena kandungan besinya yang dilengkapi asam folat yang dapat mencegah anemia. Ketidakpatuhan ibu hamil dalam mengkonsumsi tablet Fe memberikan peluang lebih besar untuk terkena anemia. Suami mempunyai tugas penting diantaranya memberikan perhatian dan membina hubungan baik dengan istri, sehingga pasangan akan mengkonsultasikan setiap ada masalah yang dialaminya dalam menghadapi kesulitan-kesulitan selama hamil. Tujuan dari pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah meningkatkan kepatuhan ibu hamil dalam mengkonsumsi tablet Fe melalui dukungan dan peran suami melalui kartu kontrol tablet tambah darah
