Abstract

Dalam penentuan uji kadar karbohidrat , pada sampel limbah buah mengkudu dilakukan analisis, yaitu analisis secara kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Uji analisis yang sudah dilakukan dalam analisis hidrolisis selulosa limbah buah mengkudu secara kualitatif yaitu menggunakan uji benedict sehingga menghasilkan endapan merah bata dan secara kuantitatif menggunakan metode Nelson-Somogyi  menghasilkan kadar gula reduksi sebsar 11.87%. Secara berkelanjutan dilakukan uji penentuan kadar karbohidrat dari hasil hidrolisis  yaitu analisis karbohidrat total dan analisis  gula reduksi  dengan  metode Luff Schoorl.  Akhir penelitian yang sudah dilakukan dari hidrolisis selulosa limbah buah mengkudu, menunjukkan bahwa hasil rata-rata total kadar karbohidrat  yaitu 51. 83% dan hasil gula reduksi rata-rata menurut metode Luff Schoorl adalah 16.52%. Karbohidrat berperan sebagai pemberi rasa manis, penentuan kadar karbohidrat dilakukan dengan mengukur jumlah gula reduksi yang dikandungnya. Rasa manis ini dikarenakan adanya gula reduksi.

Abstract

Arabica coffee has a myriad of benefits for the health of the human body, Arabica coffee contains secondary metabolites including flavonoids, tannins and saponins which have good antibacterial properties in leaves, seeds, and even coffee fruit skin, where Arabica coffee is taken in a mature state to see how much antibacterial is contained in coffee beans. The purpose of this study was to identify the chemical content of secondary metabolites contained in the ethanol extract of Arabica coffee beans and the antibacterial activity of the extract in terms of preventing the growth of Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli bacteria. This research method is experimental, plant material is taken identified then made simplisia, Arabica coffee beans are extracted using ethanol p.a. solvent, phytochemical screening and antibacterial activity tests are carried out using the agar well diffusion method (Agar Well Plate Diffusion Assay Method). The diameter of the growth inhibition of microorganisms is one of the factors observed in the ethanol extract of Arabica coffee beans undergoing phytochemical screening which shows the presence of terpenoids / steroids, alkaloids, flavonoids, tannins and saponins. The concentrations used start from 100 mg / ml, 50 mg / ml, 25 mg / ml, 12.5 mg / ml, 6.25 mg / ml and 3.12 mg / ml in the ethanol extract of Arabica coffee beans (Coffea arabica L.). The ethanol extract of Arabica coffee beans showed antibacterial activity against Escherichia coli bacteria with the largest inhibition zone of 9.5 mm in diameter observed at a concentration of 100 mg/ml, while the smallest inhibition zone of 0.73 mm in diameter was observed at a concentration of 6.25 mg/ml, in contrast to Staphylococcus aureus bacteria which had the smallest inhibition zone at a concentration of 100 mg/ml and the largest inhibition zone at a concentration of 8.48 mm at 12.5 mg/ml with an inhibition zone diameter of 1.73 mm.

Abstract

Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR) is an important indicator to assess maternal health efforts and societal development. Indonesia ranks third in MMR within ASEAN countries. Antenatal care ensures maternal health and infant safety through prevention efforts such as education and interventions to address dangerous symptoms during pregnancy. Factors influencing antenatal care utilization include maternal age, education level, pregnancy planning, parity, birth spacing, knowledge, attitude, economic factors, availability, distance, health history, perception of health, and access to obstetric services. Improving accessibility, economic conditions, and media exposure can boost antenatal care utilization rates globally.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of Employee engagement (X1), Social Environment (X2), and Motivation (X3) on Employee Performance (Y). The total number of respondents was 53 respondents. The analysis used in this research is multiple linear regression. The results show that employee engagement positively and significantly affects employee performance, with a regression coefficient of 1.362. In contrast, motivation has a regression coefficient of 0.453 and a positive and significant effect. However, the Social Environment has a negative effect on employee performance, with a regression coefficient of -0.200. In addition, the interaction between employee engagement and motivation showed a more significant effect, indicating that combining these factors effectively improves performance. The study also found that social environment had a negative influence. Among the three independent variables consisting of employee engagement (X1), social environment (X2), and motivation (X3), the dominant influence on employee performance (Y) is Motivation (X2) because the highest t-count value is 1,362. Another result is that employee engagement (X1), social environment (X2), and motivation (X3) can explain the employee performance variable (Y) by 43.7%, while the rest explains other variables not examined in this research by 56.3%. The implication of this study is the importance of integrating comprehensive programs to improve employee engagement and work motivation enhancement strategies to improve overall employee performance.

Abstract

This research aims to design a Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) curriculum integrated into vocational education at vocational high schools (SMK), specifically in the fields of Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Hospitality. Given Indonesia's susceptibility to natural disasters such as earthquakes and tsunamis, this curriculum is designed to enhance students' preparedness for these disaster risks. The research methods include industry needs analysis and local risk evaluation through literature review, surveys, and interviews with experts. The results indicate that integrating DRR into vocational curricula can improve technical competencies and student readiness for disasters, while also strengthening community resilience. The study concludes with an emphasis on the importance of implementing a curriculum that adapts to local conditions and the development of teacher capacity through specialized DRR training. This study recommends a phased implementation of the DRR curriculum, teacher training, and continuous evaluation to ensure the curriculum's relevance and effectiveness. The findings support enhancing local community resilience and graduate preparedness for disaster scenarios in the workplace.Indonesia merupakan salah satu negara dengan tingkat kerawanan bencana alam yang sangat tinggi, terutama gempa bumi dan tsunami, yang sering kali mengakibatkan kerusakan besar dan korban jiwa. Di tengah ancaman ini, sektor pendidikan memiliki peran penting dalam meningkatkan kesadaran dan kesiapsiagaan masyarakat, termasuk melalui integrasi mitigasi bencana dalam kurikulum. Namun, kurikulum pendidikan vokasi di Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) saat ini masih kurang memperhatikan aspek Pengurangan Risiko Bencana (PRB), terutama dalam kaitannya dengan bidang kejuruan yang relevan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang kurikulum PRB yang diintegrasikan ke dalam pendidikan vokasi di SMK, khususnya pada jurusan Teknik Sipil, Teknik Mesin, dan Perhotelan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan mencakup analisis kebutuhan industri dan evaluasi risiko lokal melalui studi literatur, survei, dan wawancara dengan para ahli. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa integrasi PRB dalam kurikulum vokasi dapat meningkatkan kompetensi teknis dan kesiapan siswa dalam menghadapi bencana, sekaligus memperkuat resiliensi komunitas. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya pelaksanaan kurikulum yang adaptif terhadap kondisi lokal serta pengembangan kapasitas guru melalui pelatihan khusus PRB. Studi ini merekomendasikan implementasi kurikulum PRB secara bertahap, pelatihan guru, dan evaluasi berkelanjutan untuk memastikan relevansi dan efektivitas kurikulum. Temuan ini mendukung peningkatan resiliensi komunitas lokal dan kesiapan lulusan dalam menghadapi bencana di lingkungan kerja.

Abstract

The leaves and seeds of pangi (Pangium edule Reinw.) contain alkaloids, flavonoids, saponins, and tannins, which acts as antioxidants. Antioxidants are needed to protect the body and inhibit the negative impact of free radicals due to the oxidation reactions that occur. Antioxidants are compounds that inhibit oxidation reactions by binding free radicals and molecules. This research aims to determine the comparison of the antioxidants activity of pangi (Pangium edule Reinw.) leaves and seeds using the DPPH (1,1,-Diphenyl-2-Picrylhydrazyl) method. Reactive research method, experimentally, namely by carrying out serial dilutions of concentrations of 10, 20, 30, 40 and 50 ppm in each test solution, then adding the DPPH solution and measuring the antioxidants activity with a UV-Vis Spectrophotometer. After that, the IC50 (Inhibitor Concentration 50) value and the AAI (Antioxidant Activity Index) value are calculated, and the data were analyzed using ANOVA. The results of calculating the IC50 and AAI values are that the IC50 value of the pangi leaf ethanol extract is 49.6061 ppm (AAI=1.007), while the IC50 value of ethanol extract of pangi seeds is 50.2027 (AAI=0.9959). From the results of research and data analysis, it can be concluded that the ethanol extract of pangi leaves has higher antioxidant activity compared to the ethanol extract of pangi seeds.

Abstract

Kota Pekanbaru memiliki begitu banyak Usaha Mikro, terutama dalam usaha bisnis kuliner. Kesadaran masyarakat Pekanbaru akan pentingnya sertifikasi halal masih rendah, sehingga membutuhkan pelatihan dan pendampingan dalam proses produk halal. Penerapan UU No 33 Tahun 2014 mengenai sertifikasi halal menyatakan bahwa setiap produk yang masuk, beredar, dan diperdagangkan di wilayah Indonesia wajib bersertifikat halal. Dengan aturan itu, Badan Penyelenggara Jaminan Produk Halal (BPJPH) telah menerbitkan UU UU 33 Tahun 2022 tentang Juknis Pendamping Proses Produk Halal untuk memudahkan proses produk halal. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah memberikan pelatihan dan pendampingan sertifikasi halal produk pada UMK. Peserta sangat antusias mengikuti rangkaian kegiatan tersebut. Melalui pelatihan ini diharapkan masyarakat kota pekanbaru memahami manfaat labelisasi halal suatu produk dan memahami proses produksi suatu produk yang dibuat sesuai standar halal, mulai dari hulu hingga hilir, serta dapat diterapkan dalam kegiatan usaha sehingga mampu miningkatkan penjualan yang pada akhirnya dapat meningkatkan pendapatan bagi masyarakat.

Abstract

The problem that is often encountered during the teaching and learning process in the classroom is that learning still refers to the teacher as the information provider, by only relying on textual books as learning references. Thus, students only have limited opportunities to read material and listen to teacher explanations. So to overcome this, a 5E learning cycle model is needed. This research aims to determine the effect of implementing the Learning Cycle 5E learning model on the learning outcomes of class V students in science subjects at SD Negeri 48 Pekanbaru. This research uses a quantitative approach with an experimental type. This research used a one-group pretest posttest design. The population in this research involved all class V students at SDN 48 Pekanbaru. The sample for this research consisted of 40 students from class VA at SDN 48 Pekanbaru. The data collection technique in this research uses tests with research instruments in the form of pretest and posttest test questions. The hypothesis technique in this research uses the Two Related Mean Difference Test method (Paired sample t-test). Based on the research findings, it can be concluded that there is an influence of the application of the 5E cycle learning model on the learning outcomes of sound and nature science material in class V at SDN 48 Pekanbaru.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of Science Technology Society (STS) approach on students' scientific literacy in fluid dynamic material in physics subject. An experimental method with pretest-posttest control group design is used as a method in this study. The study population included all grade XI students of Senior High School Negeri 8 Banda Aceh who took sciences major, with a random sample that consisting 32 students in the experimental class and 32 students in the control class. An experimental class received learning treatment with STM approach, while the control class was not given a special treatment. Data were collected through an objective test of 25 questions, with the parameters measured was the scientific literacy ability of the science competency aspect and the science knowledge aspect. Data analysis was carried out using parametric analysis techniques, including normality tests, homogeneity tests, and t-tests for mean differences. The results showed that there was a significant difference between the pretest and n-Gain scores in the experimental and control class. An experimental class using the STS approach showed a higher increase in science literacy than control class, with a percentage of achievement was 86% in the science competency aspect and 88% in the science knowledge aspect. The STM approach has been proven effectively in improving students' scientific literacy skills in linking the concept of dynamic fluids with real applications in everyday life. The conclusion of this study is the STM approach has a positive influence on students' scientific literacy, more able to understand and apply science in social and technological contexts. This study contributes to develop more effective learning methods in schools science education.

Abstract

The study aim to describe the Religious Ethos Transformed by the Pawuah Sapakek Farmer Group. The study is focused on three aspects: First, the working principles that form the spirit of the Pawuah Sapakek farmer group. Second, how the Pawuah Sapakek farmer group interprets their work. Third, how the farmer group institutionalizes these values. Data collection techniques include observation and interviews. The study results indicate that the Pawuah Sapakek farmer group possesses three ethos. Firstly, the ethical morality ethos, which involves the ethics practiced within the group with the application of group work principles. Secondly, the fitrah ethos, where the Pawuah Sapakek farmer group works to maintain a relationship with God, uphold dignity, and support their families as part of their natural disposition as humans. Thirdly, the institutional ethos, where the Pawuah Sapakek farmer group accepts, executes, and preserves its work principles through the absorption of values, evaluation, discussion, and application in the group's collective fields and cooperatives to preserve and maintain these values through established rules within the group.
