Abstract

This study aims to determine whether environmental, social, and governance (ESG) disclosures, investment decisions, and leverage have an effect on company value. This research method uses quantitative research. The sample in this study was 10 banking companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) obtained using the purpose sampling method and observation years during 2019 - 2023. The type of data used is secondary data. Data collection was carried out using financial reports (Annual reports) and sustainability reports. These results indicate that environmental and social disclosures do not affect company value, while governance disclosures affect company value. Investment decisions have a significant effect on the company and leverage does not have a significant effect on company value. These findings provide useful insights for banking institutions to prioritize strong governance mechanisms in ESG reporting and optimize investment decision-making, thereby enhancing their overall firm value and stakeholder trust.

Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology has encouraged the importance of mastering visual communication skills among the younger generation, especially students. Photography and graphic design are now strategic media in conveying messages, building images, and expressing ideas creatively and communicatively. In response to this need, this Community Service (PkM) activity was held with the main aim of improving student competence in the fields of photography and graphic design through the implementation of workshops and exhibitions of visual works. This activity involved students from UIN Suska Riau and Universitas Islam Riau, and presented speakers from professional circles to provide technical training related to photography techniques, vector-based graphic design principles, color utilization, visual composition, and the use of design software such as Adobe Photoshop and Canva. In addition to training, this activity also presented an exhibition of student work as a form of appreciation and space for public expression of the participants' creativity. Evaluation of the results of the activity showed that 92% of participants experienced significant improvements in technical skills and self-confidence. Some participants even started building digital portfolios and expanding networks with creative communities online. This program not only has an impact on improving individual abilities, but also strengthens the synergy between the academic world and the creative industry in creating an applicable, collaborative, and sustainable learning ecosystem. Thus, this activity is expected to become a model for student development based on practical and actual skills in the creative economy era.

Abstract

Pasir Padi Beach is a beach that has enormous potential to attract both domestic and foreign tourists. However, this potential is not matched by inadequate beach conditions, instead various problems are encountered, one of which is the hot and barren beach conditions. One effort to overcome this problem is by planting ketapang and kemunting trees on the coast. Apart from rehabilitating land in coastal areas, this effort also aims to preserve environmental greenery so that it is maintained, usually it is also often used as a shade plant, especially ketapang trees. Planting activities include planting planning, planting preparation and planting. Planting planning includes: Plans for determining the location, the required number of seeds, and how to arrange the timing. The results achieved from the ketapang and kemunting tree planting program activities are to prevent coastal erosion, reduce land aridity, fertilize the soil, and provide shade for the community, tourists or visitors to Pasir Padi beach.

Abstract

Coal is a heterogeneous, combustible material composed of various components with differing properties. The combustion process of coal in coal-fired power plants (CFPPs) generates waste in the form of bottom ash residue. If not properly utilized, bottom ash has The ability to trigger adverse environmental impacts. One alternative for its utilization is as a mixture component in the production of paving blocks. This study aims to evaluate the water absorption, compressive strength, and quality classification of paving blocks with the addition of bottom ash, where the test results will be compared with the Indonesian National Standard (SNI) to determine conformity to quality standards. According to the study, it can be seen that increasing the percentage of bottom ash leads to a higher water absorption rate and a decrease in compressive strength. This trend is attributed to the reduction in bulk density of the paving blocks as the proportion of bottom ash increases. Based on the test results, paving blocks without bottom ash (Sample A) fall into Class C; mixtures with 10% and 20% bottom ash (Samples B and C) fall into Class B; the 30% mixture (Sample D) belongs to Class C; and the 40% mixture (Sample E) is categorized as Class D. All composition variations meet the quality classification criteria stipulated in the applicable Indonesian National Standard (SNI). Based on compressive strength and water absorption parameters, the optimal bottom ash composition ranges between 10% and 20%.

Abstract

High levels of anxiety during pregnancy, especially approaching childbirth, can negatively impact both maternal and fetal health. One non-pharmacological intervention that has shown potential in reducing anxiety is endorphin massage—a light-touch therapy that stimulates the release of endorphins, which act as natural pain relievers and promote a sense of comfort. This study aimed to analyze the effect of endorphin massage on anxiety levels among third-trimester primigravida mothers facing labor. A quantitative approach with a pre-experimental one-group pretest-posttest design was employed. The study involved 20 third-trimester primigravida participants. The intervention consisted of four sessions of endorphin massage, and anxiety levels were assessed using a modified version of the Hamilton Rating Scale for Anxiety (HRS-A). The results indicated a significant decrease in anxiety, with the mean score dropping from 3.5 before the intervention to 1.55 after. The Wilcoxon test showed a p-value of 0.000 (< 0.05), confirming a statistically significant effect of endorphin massage on reducing anxiety. These findings suggest that endorphin massage is an effective non-pharmacological method to lower anxiety levels and enhance maternal psychological preparedness and comfort prior to childbirth.

Abstract

Labor pain remains a critical challenge in maternal care, especially in resource-limited settings where access to pharmacological analgesia is restricted. Endorphin massage, a non-pharmacological intervention, offers a safe and evidence-based alternative, yet robust clinical data remain limited. This quasi-experimental study, conducted at Pancatengah Public Health Center, Indonesia, involved 15 mothers in active labor who received standardized endorphin massage during the first stage of labor. Pain intensity was measured pre- and post-intervention using a Numeric Rating Scale. Statistical analysis with the Mann-Whitney U test revealed a significant reduction in pain scores (p = 0.011; effect size r = 0.65), with most participants shifting from moderate or severe pain to mild or no pain, and no adverse events observed. These findings highlight the clinical and practical value of endorphin massage as a safe, accessible pain management strategy. Further studies with larger, controlled samples are recommended to confirm generalizability and address implementation challenges.

Abstract

The development of technology helps the means of communication media, one of which is the use of smart phones or gadgets. One of the sophistication that is very much felt is the use of artificial intelligence (AI) Meta on WhatsApp. The use of this AI makes it easier for users to access all the information they need. This study has a research focus on the extent of the use of sequencing theories (conversation sequences) that are often used by AI Meta. The approach to understanding the language style and characteristics of AI itself uses the turn-taking theory technique according to Harvey Sacks, where there are 12 criteria in the sequence of conversations. The methodology of this study is qualitative descriptive through a literature approach that uses the sequence of conversations directly through AI along with its documentation. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that of the 12 criteria for the sequence of conversations that took place, only 6 criteria can be responded to well, namely: statement-agreement/disagreement, question-answer, call-answer, closing-closing, request-granting/rejection, accusation-rejection/confession. Through the six criteria of the turn-taking theory, it shows that AI has limitations in communicating, not the same as humans. Meanwhile, the remaining six that cannot be done by AI itself are conversation sequences that are less effective or do not get the response desired by the user. Keywords: Conversation Sequence, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Communication Model

Abstract

This research analyzes community perspectives on agriculture, plantation, and food programs in Lebong Regency, with a particular focus on the Double Cropping Season (MT2) program. This research draws upon three interconnected theoretical frameworks: Political Ecology Framework for analyzing power relations in environmental access, Sustainable Livelihoods Approach for examining rural community adaptations, and Adaptive Co-Management Theory for analyzing collaborative natural resource management. Using a mixed-method approach, the study was conducted in seven sub-districts with 100 respondents selected through cluster random sampling. The findings reveal varying levels of community satisfaction, with satisfaction indices reaching 76 in three main sub-districts and 66 in four companion sub-districts. 78% of the community supports program continuation with noted improvements. Key implementation challenges include inequitable land ownership structures, where the majority are tenant farmers, agricultural land conversion, and land conflicts related to conservation areas that cover 69.89% of Lebong Regency. Analysis through these theoretical frameworks reveals that successful agricultural development in Lebong requires fundamental changes in power distribution, institutional support, and program implementation approaches. The research recommends establishing a multi-stakeholder governance platform, modifying the MT2 program to focus on agricultural intensification, and adopting more flexible management approaches to balance agricultural productivity with conservation needs.
