Abstract

Soursop (Annona muricata L.) is a plant whose leaf extract contains alkaloids, flavonoids, saponins, and tannins and can be antibacterial. Based on the compounds it contains, soursop leaf extract can be an active substance in hand sanitizer gel preparations. This study aims to determine the characteristics of the resulting hand sanitizer gel and the optimum concentration of the base combination that can produce a qualified hand sanitizer gel. This study used a Simplex Lattice Design experimental method with two factors (carbomer 940 and HPMC). Three hand sanitizer gels were prepared, with a ratio of carbomer 940: HPMC for F1 (1%:0%), F2 (0.5%:0.5%), and F3 (0%:1%). Tests conducted on hand sanitizer gel preparations included organoleptic, homogeneity, spreadability, adhesion, pH, and viscosity. The results of physical properties tests (spreadability, adhesion, and viscosity) were analyzed using Design Expert 11. The results showed that carbomer 940 and HPMC could increase viscosity and adhesion but could decrease spreadability. Ethanol extract of soursop leaves (Annona muricata L.) could be formulated and optimized into hand sanitizer gels. The optimum formula contained carbomer 940 0% and HPMC 1%, obtained in Formula 3 with a desirability value of 0.986.

Abstract

Patient safety incidents are a critical issue in healthcare that can impact service quality and public trust in hospitals. Implementing a patient safety culture is one way to improve hospital services by raising awareness of error prevention and reporting. This study aims to improve reporting of patient safety incidents in the Central Surgical Installation of Mitra Plumbon Hospital, Cirebon, through the implementation of a culture of fairness. Using a quantitative, correlative descriptive method, this study involved 50 healthcare workers as respondents. The results showed a significant increase in reporting of patient safety incidents after the implementation of a culture of fairness, characterized by a shift from a moderate to a strong culture. A culture of fairness plays a crucial role in creating a safe work environment, where staff feel comfortable reporting incidents without fear of sanctions. This study is expected to contribute to efforts to improve patient safety in hospitals.

Abstract

At the Regional General Hospital, Drs. Jacobus Luna, M.Si, and Bengkayang examine patient loyalty, family satisfaction, and service quality. In order to increase patient family happiness, hospitals must now offer complete services and uphold patient trust by enhancing service quality. With a sample of 100 respondents who are patients at the Regional General Hospital under the care of Drs. Jacobus Luna and M. Si, Bengkayang, this study takes a quantitative method. Descriptive-verificative analysis along with path analysis was used to analyze the data. Although some issues were found that need to be addressed and improved, respondents rated service quality, patient family satisfaction, and loyalty as good to very good, according to the results of the descriptive analysis. The indirect effect's coefficient was higher than the direct effect's (85.1% > 80.4%), and the path coefficients between the variables were positive, according to the findings of the verifying study utilizing path analysis. This suggests that the relationship between service quality and loyalty can be mediated by the intervening variable of patient family satisfaction. Given that the t-value is higher than the t-critical (26.60 > 1.95), the statistical hypothesis test (t-test) demonstrated that the service quality variable has a positive and substantial impact on patient family satisfaction. Loyalty is positively and significantly impacted by the patient family satisfaction variable (t = 21.39 > 1.95). Additionally, loyalty is positively and significantly impacted by service quality (t = 20.05 > 1.95). Because the t-value is higher than the t-critical (3.81 > 1.95), service quality indirectly influences loyalty through patient family satisfaction.

Abstract

Employee workload is a situation where employees are faced with a volume of work that must be completed at a certain time. Excessive workload can reduce employee productivity. This can lead to a decrease in the quality of health services and employee performance. This study aims to analyze workload, quality of health services and employee performance at Hermina Manado Hospital. This study uses a quantitative approach. The sample in this study amounted to 68 respondents. The data analysis used is descriptive analysis and verification analysis using path analysis. The results of the descriptive analysis of workload, quality of health services and employee performance of respondents gave a good assessment, there were still some that needed to be improved. While the results of the verification study, the path analysis model showed that the path coefficient value between variables was positive and the indirect influence path coefficient value was greater than the direct influence (73.6> 45.4%), meaning that the health service quality variable as an intervening variable was able to mediate the workload variable with the employee performance variable.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of service innovation, total quality management (TQM), and technology adoption on competitiveness and their subsequent impact on the performance of third-level military health center hospitals. A quantitative research approach was employed, using a survey method to collect data from hospital leaders and staff members. The data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) to test the relationships among variables. The results indicate that service innovation, TQM, and technology adoption significantly enhance hospital competitiveness. Furthermore, competitiveness was found to mediate the relationship between these strategic factors and hospital performance. The findings highlight the strategic importance of fostering innovation, quality management, and technological integration to improve operational efficiency and service quality in military hospital settings.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of the Debt to Asset Ratio (DAR) and Debt to Equity Ratio (DER) on stock prices of automotive subsector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the 2019–2023 period. This research employed a quantitative method with purposive sampling, using secondary data consisting of annual financial statements and stock price information obtained from official IDX publications. The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression with classical assumption tests, t‐tests, and F‐tests. The results indicate that DAR has a positive and significant effect on stock prices, while DER has a negative and significant effect on stock prices. Furthermore, DAR and DER simultaneously exert a significant influence on stock prices. These findings highlight that capital structure, as reflected by DAR and DER, plays an important role in determining stock price movements in the automotive subsector
