Abstract

The aim of this study is to determine the quality of Treffinger learning model with collaborative assessment on the achievement of students' creative thinking abilities and mathematical disposition. This study uses a mixed method with concurrent embedded design. Subject of this research is grade VIII students of SMP N 36 Semarang. Data collection on mathematical creative thinking ability was using tests, data collection mathematical disposition was using questionnaires and data collection on self-assessment and peer-assessment was using assessment sheets. The quality of learning was qualitatively valued from planning stage, performing stage and assessment stage. The result of mathematical creative thinking ability test was analyzed qualitatively using mean test, comprehensive test, mean deviation test and deviation proportion test, then an improvement test is performed on the selected student. Result of this research shows Treffinger learning model with collaborative assessment on the achievement of students' creative thinking abilities and mathematical dispositions is considered well both qualitatively and quantitatively. Improvement of creative thinking abilities and mathematical dispositions on selected student have increased. The result of this research showed there was a relationship between mathematical creative thinking ability and mathematical disposition.

Abstract

Problem solving skill is the core of mathematics lesson. This research aims to describe mathematics problem solving skill reviewed from cognitive style based on independent and dependent field categories. It was done for X graders of Public SHS 1 Samudera in academic year 2018/2019. This mixed method research used sequential explanatory strategy. It is a procedure to collect quantitative and qualitative data orderly. The technique of collecting quantitative data was done by problem solving skill test while the qualitative data was done by documentation, questionnaire, and interview. The results showed that mathematics problem solving skill of the students on each cognitive category had different mastery indicators. The differences did not depend on cognitive style categories of the students but based on learning activity.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe students' mathematics literacy skill seen from learning styles in discovery learning with realistic approach assisted by schoology. This type of research used in this study is mixed methods model of sequential explanatory. The population in this study were VII graders of SMP Negeri 1 Bae. The subject of the research was from VII H of the school. The results showed that the discovery learning model with realistic approach assisted by schoology effective to mathematics literacy skill. Based on the analysis of written test data, observations and interviews, it was found that each type of learning style has different mathematics literacy skill. This is shown from 2 students diverger learning style categories there are 1 high category and 1 poor category, from 8 students assimilator category there are 3 high category, 3 moderate category and 2 poor category, from 9 students the converger category there are 4 high category and 5 moderate category and from 12 students accommodator category there are 1 high category, 5 moderate category and 6 poor category.

Abstract

This research aims to describe mathematics spatial skill reviewed from the self-confidence of students in high, moderate, and low categories. This research was conducted in the eighth grade JHS Hasannudin 6 Semarang, in the academic year 2018/2019. This mixed-method research used a sequential explanatory strategy. It is a procedure to collect quantitative and qualitative data orderly. The technique of collecting quantitative data was done by mathematics-spatial skill test. Meanwhile, the qualitative data was done by documentation, questionnaire, and interview. The findings showed mathematics-spatial skill of each-category student’s self-confidence had various mastery indicators. The students with high-self-confidence tended to be more consistent in mastering spatial visualization, spatial relation, and mental rotation. The spatial-orientation and spatial-perception aspects of high self-confidence students were sometimes successful and sometimes not successful. The moderate-self-confidence students tended to master spatial visualization, spatial relation, and spatial orientation aspects. However, there were several subjects with moderate-self confidence in the five aspects. Subjects with low-self-confidence tended to be more consistent in mastering spatial visualization and spatial perception. There were subjects with low-self-confidence who only mastered four aspects of mathematics-spatial skills.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the concept understanding of 8th grade students at various levels of student curiosity in learning the Missouri Mathematics Project with the Scaffolding approach based on diagnostic assessments. The research method used is a concurrent embedded type mix method. The population was taken from 8th grade students at SMP N 5 Pati. Subjects were chosen based on each category of level of curiosity. This category consists of high, medium and low using purposive sampling to determine the sample. The findings show that the understanding of concepts from various categories of curiosity has diverse understanding of concepts. Each category of curiosity can apply the concept or algorithm to solve the problem properly. So curiosity does not absolutely influence the ability to understand concepts.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the quality of learning by applying comic supplementary tutor feedback in contextual teaching hybrid learning in order to achieve students' higher order thinking skills in mathematics. The method used in this study is mixed methods with sequential design. The results of this study showed that the implementation of comic supplementary tutor feedback in the contextual teaching hybrid learning had a certain quality on achieving students' higher order thinking skills in mathematics. In subjects with higher category disposition, it revealed that the answers of subject 1 and subject 2 have reached the indicator of analyzing and evaluating, but the indicator of creating has not been seen yet. Moreover, subjects with moderate disposition category showed that the answers of subject 1 and subject 3 have reached the indicator of analyzing and evaluating but the indicators of creating have not been seen yet. Whereas subject 2 showed that indicators of analyzing, evaluating, and creating have not been achieved yet. However, subjects with low category disposition showed that the answers of subject 1 did not show the achievement on the indicator of analyzing, evaluating and creating, but at the evaluating stage, there was already a correct answer until the end

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian menghasilkan buku panduan guru tentang instrumen asesmen sikap siswa pada pembelajaran matematika SMP berbentuk skala sikap (penilaian diri) dan lembar pengamatan guru (orang lain). Data diperoleh di SMPN 1 Bolo Kabupaten Bima NTB dengan subjek penelitian 100 siswa dan 4 guru matematika. Instrumen pengumpul data berupa lembar observasi, kamera/alat perekam, pedoman wawancara, angket dan skala sikap. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode campuran dengan desain pengembangan instrumen afektif mengacu Mardapi. Analisis data menggunakan analisis data kualitatif menggunakan triangulasi sumber dan teknik, validitas, daya beda butir, reliabilitas dan analisis faktor ekploratori. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan dari validasi ahli, 50 butir instrumen awal layak diujicobakan ke skala kecil dengan 27 butir berkategori cukup memadai dan 23 butir berkategori memadai. Hasil uji coba skala kecil, terdapat 32 butir yang berkategori valid dan instrumen reliabel dengan α = 0,85. Setelah instrumen diperbaiki, instrumen digunakan untuk uji coba skala luas dengan subjek 100 siswa dan hasilnya instrumen reliabel dengan rxx=0,73 serta instrumen mampu mengungkap variabel sikap siswa yang diukur sebesar 67,53% dengan jumlah komponen yang terbentuk sebanyak tiga faktor yaitu Jujur, Interaksi lingkungan dan Serius. The purpose of this research is to produce assessment instrument the attitude of the students in the mathematics teaching JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL in the form of attitude scale (self-assessment) and teacher observation sheet (others). The Data obtained at SMPN 1 Bolo Bima Regency NTB with research subject 100 students and 4 mathematics teacher. The instrument data collector in the form of observation sheet, camera/recorders, guidelines, interview questionnaires and attitude scale. The research method used is mixed method with the design of the development of affective instrument by Mardapi. Analysis of the data using the analysis triangulation source and techniques, the validity of the different power point, reliability and factor analysis ekploratori. The results of the study showed from examine the expert team, 50 items early instrument worthy trialled to small scale with 27 items category is adequate and 23 items very adequate category. The results of the small scale test there are 32 items valid category and reliability instrument with α = 0.85. After the instrument repair, instruments used to test large-scale with the subject of 100 students and as a result the instrument reliability with rxx=0.73 obligation and able to reveal the variables measured students attitude of 67,53% with a number of components that are formed as many as three factors namely honest, environmental interaction and serious.

Abstract

Assessment of performance tests is part of the implementation curriculum of 2013 that can not be implemented by many teachers because there are obstacles such as the absence of standard instruments so that teachers feel difficulty.This research is a study to develop performance assessment test on mathematics learning to calculate scope and volume of cube and block for junior high school in 2013 curriculum that is valid, reliable, practical. Method of this research used research development with adapted from Djemari Mardapi (2016 : 132) to 9 – steps of development. The validity of the instrument contents is tested by 3 experts in the field, the score given by the expert is tested using V Index, and reliability with interarter using the coefficient of Ebel procedure. Data Analisys on field used construct validity with Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) and reliability used alpha cronbach. The result showed that instrument of validation test from 10 object assessment test performance through expert judgment produced coefficient of validation that has score of coefficient > 0,3 and reliability of 0,88. Data analysis on field test from could see on KMO that showed score of KMO 0,689 that has meaning was the number of instrument test analyzed more deep. The analysis performance test assessment produced 3 factore are product, process, and accommodates task. The result used reliability test of Alpha Cronbach also got coefficient 0,706. Test of practicality, from 3 mathematics teacher respondents stated practical with score 46,67 which means practical use. This research is expected to develop standardized tests to measure the assessment of performance tests on mathematics learning of junior high school to calculate scope and volume of cubes and block.

Abstract

Social behaviour is one of the aspects assessed in the process of applying the Curriculum 2013. Social behaviour includes aspects of honest, disciplined, courtesy, confident, caring, and responsibility. This study aims to develop an instrument of social behaviour through peer assessment on mathematics learning in junior high school that are valid and reliable. The research method used is development research with modified Sugiyono model. Content validity through expert judgment is tested using V index and its reliability with ICC. Small-scale trials were tested with pearson correlation and alpha cronbach for reliability. Large-scale trials were tested using Confirmatory Factor Analysis 2nd Order, and its reliability with the Construct Reliability formula. The results of the validation of experts obtained 35 items valid and reliable. A small-scale trial with 52 respondents, 27 valid grains with coefficient> 0.3 and reliability were 0.805. In large scale trials, 25 items have construct validity with estimated loading factor (λ)> 0.30. The test result using SEM meets Godness of Fit if RMSEA show value 0,017; GFI shows a value of 0.87, AGFI shows a value of 0.84 and RMSR shows a value of 0.041. Instrument expressed practical with the questionnaire score> 21. The results showed that the instrument of social attitudes through peer assessment developed valid and reliable.

Abstract

Assessment of the results of the study were not able to use the technique only tests the need for an assessment that can assess the 3 aspects of cognitive, affective and namely psychomotor assessment authentic like i.e. assessment of the project. Troubleshooting is the ability that must be mastered in maths learning then perlua the existence of an appropriate assessment that can assess the mathematical problem solving skills. This research aims to develop assessment instrument project to assess mathematical solving skills on a project-based learning that is valid, reliability and practical use. The type of research used in this research is the research development (research and development) with the model of the development of nontes. The subject of a trial that is grade VIII SMP Negeri Semarang 40. The data in the research gained from the results of the test of the validity, reliability and practicality. The research results showed that the assessment instrument project to assess mathematical problem solving skills on a project-based learning is declared invalid based on the input of experts and of the results obtained from the calculation of the ICC retrieved r_xx > 0,814 reliability, validity of the results invalid constructs on a small scale have the goodness of fit index 0,942 > 0.90 and massive scale have index goodness of fit 0.935 > 0.90 reliability then both showed 0,848 > 0.7 on a small scale and 0867 > 0.7 on a massive scale, as well as meet the criteria of the practical meaning of the instrument indicates the assessment of the project to assess mathematical problem solving skills in project based-learning that have been developed in valid, reliabil and practical use as well as proven to be used to assess mathematical problem solving skills of students of JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL.
