Abstract

Unemployment and poverty are economic problems that are mostly faced by developing countries. Increasing unemployment and poverty will have a negative impact on Gross Domestic Product (GDP) which will then have an impact on human development in the country. The Human Development Index (HDI) is considered unable to reflect the religious and ethical perspective of socio-economic development in countries where the majority of the population is Muslim such as Indonesia. Therefore, the IHDI (Islamic Human Development Index) was created, a measurement based on the five dimensions of Maqasid Al-Shari'ah. This research aims to determine the influence of Gross Domestic Product, unemployment and poverty on the Islamic Human Development Index in Indonesia in 2015-2021. The data used in this research is secondary data obtained from publications by the Central Statistics Agency (BPS). This research is quantitative research using multiple linear regression methods. The research results show that GDP has a positive and insignificant influence on IHDI. Meanwhile, the unemployment variable has a negative and insignificant influence on IHDI. And the poverty variable has a negative and significant influence on IHDI. Simultaneously, Gross Domestic Product, Unemployment and Poverty have a significant effect on IHDI. The results of this research can provide insight to policy makers (government) about the importance of paying attention to factors such as GDP, unemployment and poverty in an effort to increase the level of human development. such as stimulating economic growth, reducing unemployment levels, as well as economic empowerment programs to overcome poverty.

Abstract

Gumpung Temple, as one of the historical sites of the Muaro Jambi Temple Complex, has an important value as a cultural heritage object that reflects the glory of past civilization in Jambi Province. This study aims to analyze the efforts to preserve Gumpung Temple from the perspective of cultural heritage and its potential as a tourism destination. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with a field study approach, in-depth interviews with related parties, and secondary data analysis. The results of the study indicate that efforts to preserve the temple face several challenges, such as structural damage due to natural factors, lack of awareness of the surrounding community, and limited funds and experts in restoration. However, the local government, in collaboration with the Cultural Heritage Conservation Center (BPCB), has implemented various programs such as periodic restoration, educational activities for the community and students, and promotion of culture-based tourism. Management of tourism based on cultural preservation is also one of the main strategies to make Gumpung Temple a leading tourist attraction, while maintaining conservation aspects. The results of this study also emphasize the importance of collaboration between the government, community, and private sector in supporting the sustainability of the preservation of this cultural heritage. In addition, the determination of Gumpung Temple as part of the world heritage site by UNESCO can be a strategic step to increase national and international attention to the preservation and development of culture-based tourism in Jambi Province. This study concludes that the preservation of Gumpung Temple as a cultural heritage object and tourism destination requires a holistic approach that integrates aspects of conservation, education, and empowerment of the local community economy. Thus, Gumpung Temple not only functions as a historical heritage but also as a tourism asset that provides sustainable economic and social benefits.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of public literacy, program socialization, service quality, and facility accessibility on the enhancement of the inclusivity of BPJS Employment products in Medan City. The research employs a quantitative approach with associative analysis to examine the relationships among variables both simultaneously and partially. The research objects include participants and potential participants of BPJS Employment in Medan City, covering both formal and informal sectors. The sample consisted of 100 respondents determined through a random sampling technique. Data were collected using structured questionnaires distributed directly to the respondents. The results indicate that public literacy, program socialization, service quality, and facility accessibility have a positive and significant effect, both partially and simultaneously, on the inclusivity of BPJS Employment products. These findings suggest that higher levels of public literacy, more effective program socialization, better service quality, and easier access to facilities contribute to the improvement of BPJS Employment product inclusivity in Medan City. Therefore, an integrative and sustainable approach to these four factors serves as an essential strategy for expanding public participation in the national labor protection program.

Abstract

Micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) are strategic sectors in encouraging national economic growth, one of which is through home industries engaged in processed food. This study aims to analyze the structure of the cost budget and production income and evaluate the effectiveness of cost control in the Home Industry of Adidimsum Medan Karya. The research method used is qualitative descriptive with a case study approach, using primary data obtained through direct interviews and documentation from business owners. The results of the study show that the total monthly production cost is IDR 61,870,000, while the income obtained reaches IDR 110,000,000, so that a profit margin of IDR 48,130,000 is obtained. Although this business has considerable profit potential, budget management has not been carried out in a structured manner, still using manual methods without digital or systematic recording. This risks causing cost leakage that can reduce production efficiency. Therefore, more effective cost control strategies are needed, such as the separation between fixed and variable costs, as well as the use of a simple integrated financial recording system. This research is expected to provide a real and practical picture for home food business actors in managing costs and income efficiently in order to maintain the continuity and competitiveness of their businesses in the midst of growing market competition.

Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of transformational leadership on employee creativity and to examine the role of job satisfaction as an intervening variable among employees at a manufacturing company in Indonesia. The study uses a quantitative method with an explanatory design. The sample includes all 40 employees using a census technique. Data were collected through a five-point Likert scale questionnaire that measured respondents' perceptions of transformational leadership, job satisfaction, and employee creativity. Data analysis was performed using regression and path analysis to assess the direct and indirect effects between variables. The results showed that transformational leadership had a negative and significant effect on employee creativity. Meanwhile, transformational leadership did not have a significant effect on job satisfaction. Job satisfaction was found to have a positive and significant effect on employee creativity and acted as an intervening variable that explained the weakening of the direct effect of leadership on creativity when job satisfaction was taken into account. These findings indicate that employee creativity in procedural work environments is more sensitive to satisfying work experiences than to leadership encouragement alone. The implications of this study emphasize the importance of increasing job satisfaction through fair reward policies, role clarity, supportive feedback from superiors, and a work climate that is conducive and safe for the expression of ideas.
