Abstract

Organizational communication plays a crucial role in enhancing the performance of civil servants. This study aims to explore communication strategies at the Bureau of People's Welfare, Secretariat of the West Sumatra Provincial Government, and their impact on performance. The research employs a case study approach with interviews, observations, and document analysis. Results show that both formal and informal communication are essential for creating a productive work environment. However, challenges such as lack of openness and miscommunication persist. Recommendations include improving transparency and strengthening informal communication channels. The findings are expected to provide practical guidance for enhancing organizational communication strategies and overall performance of civil servants.

Abstract

Cardiac arrest is an emergency condition that can be life-threatening and result in death if not treated immediately. Cardiac arrest can occur in various locations, from those that cannot be anticipated (outside the hospital) to those that can be anticipated (for example; intensive care room). When there is a victim of cardiac arrest, people who are near the victim have a very big role in carrying out CPR quickly. Cardiopulmonary resuscitation is an important determinant in the survival of cardiac arrest victims. This is the basis that everyone must know and understand the basic life support needed if a cardiac arrest occurs. This community service activity aims to increase the readiness of the cloud community to carry out basic life support/cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Using lecture methods, question and answer, discussion and simulation. The target of this community service activity is ordinary people in Tolitoli Regency, totaling 65 people. From the results of the post-test carried out, there was an increase in knowledge from an average score of 25 during the pre-test, increasing to 75 during the post-test. It can be concluded that there is an increase in knowledge and skills in ordinary people after education and simulations are carried out.

Abstract

Anemia merupakan gangguan yang dapat mengancam perempuan khususnya remaja putri di masa yang akan datang. Salah satu kelompok yang berpotensi terdampak adalah remaja putri pada jenjang pendidikan menengah. Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk membentuk dan meningkatkan pengetahuan, sikap dan keterampilan duta anti anemia pada remaja putri di SMP Yappa Kota Depok. Kegiatan dilaksanakan pada 15 Oktober 2024 hingga 21 Mei 2024. Jumlah peserta dalam kegiatan ini adalah 20 orang. Pengabdian dilakukan mulai dari pengkajian analisis masalah, pemberian penyuluhan kesehatan, pelatihan mengenai peran dan tugas dari duta anti anemia, pemberian games edakatif ular tangga dan tumpeng nutrsi serta evaluasi. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan bahwa rerata pengetahuan anak-anak terkait anemia pada remaja putri meningkat, yang menandakan efektivitas promosi kesehatan berbasis permainan dalam meningkatkan pemahaman mereka. Selain itu, terjadi peningkatan rerata sikap anak-anak terhadap anemia, menunjukkan bahwa metode intervensi ini berhasil membentuk pola pikir yang lebih positif dalam pencegahan anemia.

Abstract

Legislation Committee of The House of Representatives of Republic of Indonesia (DPR RI) in a plenary meeting on April 6, 2022 ratified the Bill (RUU) on new autonomous regions (DOB) for provinces in Papua, namely Papua Selatan Province, Papua Tengah Province, and Papua Pegunungan Tengah Province. The decision was rejected by a number of parties by holding demonstrations against the new autonomous regions in various regions. When the demonstration was held in Jayapura on May 10, 2022, there was chaos between the protesters and the Indonesian National Armed Forces-Indonesian Police (TNI-Polri). During a conflict, the mass media were covering the conflict because it is considered to have high news value. But not all mass media are able to play a role in making conflict resolution or creating peace. This study aims to see how Okezone.com frames conflict in the protest against DOB using a qualitative approach with the Zhongdang Pan & Gerald M. Kosicki model framing analysis method that looks at the framing of syntactic, script, thematic and rhetorical structures. The analyzed datas are five news about the chaos, publish at the time occurred. The results show that Okezone.com has not implemented peace journalism and tends to apply war journalism. Okezone.com only highlights aspects of conflict behavior, accuse only one party, does not side with peace, rightness, society, and not into conflict solution. Abstrak Badan Legislasi Dewan Perwakilan Rakyat Republik Indonesia (DPR RI) dalam rapat pleno pada 6 April 2022 mengesahkan Rancangan Undang-Undang (RUU) tentang daerah otonom baru (DOB) provinsi di Papua yakni Provinsi Papua Selatan, Provinsi Papua Tengah, dan Provinsi Papua Pegunungan Tengah. Keputusan tersebut kemudian mendapat penolakan dari sejumlah pihak dengan menggelar aksi unjuk rasa penolakan DOB di berbagai daerah. Saat unjuk rasa digelar di Jayapura pada 10 Mei 2022, terjadi kericuhan antara pengunjuk rasa dengan TNI-Polri. Ketika terjadi konflik, media massa hadir untuk melakukan liputan karena konflik dianggap memiliki nilai berita yang tinggi. Namun tidak semua media massa mampu berperan dalam membangun resolusi konflik atau menciptakan perdamaian. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat bagaimana Okezone.com membingkai konflik dalam unjuk rasa penolakan DOB menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode analisis framing model Zhongdang Pan & Gerald M. Kosicki yang melihat pembingkaian dari struktur sintaksis, skrip, tematik dan retoris. Data yang dianalisis adalah lima berita mengenai kericuhan yang terbit pada saat peristiwa terjadi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Okezone.com belum menerapkan jurnalisme damai dan cenderung menerapkan jurnalisme perang, karena dalam pemberitaan hanya menonjolkan aspek perilaku konfliknya saja, kemudian menempatkan hanya satu pihak yang bersalah. Serta tidak memiliki orientasi pada penyelesaian konflik, tidak berorentasi pada kebenaran dan kepada masyarakat.

Abstract

Purpose - This study aims to analyze the effect of The Audit Board of The Republic of Indonesia's audit opinion on Central Government Financial Statement and economic factors on the Government Sharia Securities (sukuk) issuance of Indonesia.Method - The data collected is secondary data obtained from the Audit Board of the Republic of Indonesia (BPK), Bank Indonesia, and World Bank. This study uses a quantitative approach with the Ordinary Least Squares (OLS) technique.Result - The results show that the audit opinion by BPK has a positive and significant influence on the development of sukuk in Indonesia. The inflation rate is found to have a negative effect on sukuk, but not significant. The exchange rate is found to have a positive and significant effect on the issuance of sukuk. Political stability is found to have a negative effect on the development of sukuk, but not significant. Changes in the growth have a negative and significant influence on the issuance of sukuk.Implication - The results provide a recommendation that in addition to maintaining the current Central Government Financial Statement opinion acquisition at the highest level (unqualified), the government needs to maintain the credibility and accountability of State Budget performance which is manifested through macroeconomic variables and other variables that influence the development of government Sharia securities.Originality - This study provides a new perspective on the influence of audit opinions and various economic factors on the issuance of sukuk in Indonesia, using a comprehensive data set covering the period from 2008 to 2022 and employing the Ordinary Least Squares (OLS) technique for analysis.

Abstract

ABSTRACTType 2 diabetes mellitus is a chronic disease with an increasing global incidence and a serious impact on patients’ quality of life. Dietary adherence is one of the main strategies for controlling blood glucose levels and preventing complications. This study aimed to analyze the relationship between lifestyle factors (physical activity, dietary patterns, and smoking habits) and dietary adherence among patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus. A cross-sectional design was employed with a total of 100 respondents selected through purposive sampling. Research instruments included a lifestyle questionnaire covering physical activity, dietary patterns, and smoking habits, as well as a dietary adherence questionnaire, both of which were tested for validity and reliability. The results showed a significant association between dietary patterns and dietary adherence (p = 0.014; OR = 3.000), while physical activity (p = 0.317) and smoking habits did not demonstrate significant associations. It can be concluded that dietary patterns play an important role in determining dietary adherence among patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus; therefore, appropriate educational interventions and dietary support should be enhanced.Keywords: Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus, lifestyle, dietary pattern, dietary adherence  ABSTRAKDiabetes mellitus tipe 2 merupakan penyakit kronis dengan angka kejadian yang terus meningkat secara global dan berdampak serius pada kualitas hidup pasien. Kepatuhan terhadap diet menjadi salah satu strategi utama dalam mengendalikan kadar glukosa darah serta mencegah komplikasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan gaya hidup (aktivitas fisik, pola makan, dan kebiasaan merokok) dengan kepatuhan diet pada pasien diabetes mellitus tipe 2. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah cross sectional dengan jumlah responden sebanyak 100 orang, diperoleh melalui teknik purposive sampling. Instrumen penelitian berupa kuesioner gaya hidup yang meliputi aktivitas fisik, pola makan, dan kebiasaan merokok, serta kuesioner kepatuhan diet yang telah teruji validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Hasil analisis menunjukkan adanya hubungan signifikan antara pola makan dengan kepatuhan diet (p = 0,014; OR = 3,000), sedangkan aktivitas fisik (p = 0,317) dan kebiasaan merokok tidak menunjukkan hubungan signifikan. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah pola makan berperan penting dalam menentukan kepatuhan diet pada pasien DM tipe 2, sehingga intervensi edukasi dan pendampingan diet yang tepat perlu ditingkatkan.Kata Kunci: Diabetes Mellitus tipe 2, gaya hidup, pola makan, kepatuhan diet

Abstract

This study aims to describe the opportunities, challenges, and strategies in order to develop literacy and Islamic economic human resources in Indonesia. This research is a descriptive-qualitative research with literature study method and SWOT analysis technique. The results of the study show that Indonesia has the opportunity to support literacy, strengthen human resource development and increase research and development in the field of Islamic economics, including: the rise of halal lifestyle campaigns, the active role of the government through existing regulations, the number of Islamic-based mass organizations (Islamic organizations). , the number of universities as research and development centers for halal products, and the rapid development of technology. However, Indonesia also faces various challenges, including: the limited halal education in early and basic education, the absence of technical guidelines on the development of halal products, the available regulations that do not regulate the development and selection of halal services in Indonesia, the quantity and quality of education. Islamic economics study programs in universities are still relatively low, professional certification bodies and certified experts in the field of sharia economics are still limited, and mapping and synergy between parties in sharia economic research and development is not optimal. Several strategic programs that can be carried out include: a national halal literacy program, a certification acceleration program, an acceleration program for curriculum standardization of educational institutions, the creation of a sharia economic data center, and mapping of universities that can specialize in developing certain sharia economic research.

Abstract

Purpose – This study aims to identify and analyze the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats as well as strategies related to micro, small, and medium enterprises (SME) support in the development of the halal industry and the Sharia economy in Indonesia.Methodology – This study used a mixed-method approach in the form of a sequential exploratory design with strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT) analysis.Findings – This study highlights the vast number of SMEs and their workforce as significant strengths. However, the lack of digital technology integration among SMEs is a weakness. Opportunities include a large Muslim population and availability of institutions willing to provide loans. However, threats emerge from low awareness among Indonesian Muslims regarding halal products. The proposed strategies include enhancing financing facilities, government subsidy programs, awareness campaigns, ecosystem strengthening, and socialization efforts.Implications – The findings offer practical insights for supporting SMEs, including improving access to financing and increasing awareness among Indonesian Muslims. Socially, the study suggests potential benefits such as fostering economic growth, creating employment opportunities, and promoting the production and consumption of halal products. Overall, this study provides valuable guidance for policymakers and stakeholders interested in enhancing SME support in Indonesia's halal industry and Islamic economy, with implications for economic and social development.Originality – The study's original contribution lies in its comprehensive analysis of SMEs in Indonesia within the context of the halal industry and Islamic economy.

This research aims to fill the research gap between competitive advantage, HR competency, entrepreneurial orientation, and business performance. This sampling was carried out using a purposive sampling technique. Purposive Sampling is determining samples based on certain criteria, where the research carried out sampling based on certain criteria, namely all MSME actors in Yogyakarta City, MSME actors who are 17-45 years old and have been running the MSME business for at least 2 years and have an education level of at least junior high school/equivalent level. The data analysis technique in this research is quantitative. The data analysis process can be carried out using a computer with the SPSS application, in order to have a competitive advantage, produce precise and accurate information and, be an addition to the literature and publication of the accredited national journal Sinta 3 in 2023. The research results prove that all the variables tested have a positive and significant effect on results of regression 1 and regression 2.

Abstract

The activities of agricultural extension involve a communication process between the extension agent and the farmers. An extension agent with deep agricultural knowledge and good communication skills can establish effective communication with farmers. In Tangerang Regency, there is an extension agent named Ratna who, despite having a non-agricultural and non-communication educational background, won the exemplary extension agent award at the Tangerang Regency level in 2021. This study aims to understand the communication experiences of agricultural extension from the perspective of an exemplary agent with a non-agricultural background. This study employs a qualitative method with a constructivist paradigm. The approach used is Edmund Husserl's phenomenology, focusing on understanding the essence of individual experiences, combined with Albert Bandura's social learning theory, emphasizing observation and imitation in the learning process. The results indicate that Ratna's communication experience in extension involves a strong motivation to learn and significant role models in her journey. Motivation drives her to continually improve her skills and knowledge. Moreover, role models provide inspiration and concrete examples of how an extension agent should act and communicate with farmers.
