Abstract

Science is applied in schools including Kindergarten. The results of the interviews with kindergarten teachers in Semarang showed that many teachers have difficulty in teaching science because there is no guide book and companion book about theme-based science materials for the teachers all this time. The method used in this study was Research and Development (RnD). The design was a Quasi Experimental Design in the form of pre-test and One Group Design post-test. The subjects of the study were the teachers and students in group B. The procedure of the study included: (1) Planning, (2) Developing, and (3) Trial. The eligibility and readability were tested using eligibility questionnaires and random tests. The students’ character were obtained from the pre-test and posttest questionnaires. The results from the eligibility test showed good criteria. It can be concluded that they are very suitable to be used as a guide book in teaching science (physics) and very suitable to be used as a companion book for the teachers. The readability test results indicated that the teaching materials and the enrichment science (physics) materials show that this enrichment material is easy to understand. The results of the character analysis indicate that the instructional materials in this study is able to develop the students’ character.

Abstract

The aim of this study was to analyze moderating effects of motivation and working period variables on the effect of work stress differences between male and female employees on employee performance at the Secretariat of BPK Penabur Jakarta. The approach of this study was quantitative to find out the role of motivation and working period in moderating the effect of work stress on employee performace. The population in this study was the BPK Penabur Jakarta employees with a total sample of 150 respondents. The analytical method used is a multiple linear regression method with interaction. Based ond the analysis conducted getting results for work stress is not significantly negative effect on employee perfomance. The motivation variable is very significant moderating the positive effect of work stress on employee performance. And the working period variable does not significantly moderate the negative effect of work stress on employee performance. The non-significant dummy variable shows that there are no differences in employee performance between male employees and female employees. Likewise there was no difference in work stress between male employees and female employees of BPK Penabur Jakarta.Keywords : work stress, moderating, motivation, working period, performance

Abstract

This article contains analysis and design of pawnshop database systems and its application design that can be used by PT Langitan Segi Putera for acquiring information about pawn goods, decision making in pawnshop system, how to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of employee performance as well as how to reduce error in data input. The methodology used in this research consists of literature study, survey, and analysis and design. The result obtained is a conceptual, logical and physical database design for pawn process in PT Langitan Segi Putera and its application that is suitable with the design. The design of database and its application meets the company requirement and improves company performance due to the availability of accurate and timely information, improvement in data security, and reduction of data redundancy.

Abstract

Garbage is a part of human life that?s an object/remaining substance that?s no longer useful. Waste should receive attention and serious treatment. However, due to the lack of understanding from the community and the government, insufficient funding and revenue of the majority of community, hence this waste problem has been neglected. Today, most people have already understood the problems that may be caused by the garbage, for instance floods, diseases and smell that can disrupt the daily lives of our community. However, this isn?t accompanied by the action of the people themselves. The purpose of this study is to spread public awareness on how to properly treat waste and how to distinguish types of organic and inorganic waste. This study is also to find out the benefits that can be obtained from waste, build a healthy environment that?s free from pollution, and find a solution to environmental sanitation, specifically rural waste management. This research was conducted at Tanjung Uncang RT 01 RW 15. Research data collection was done based on our observations. The result obtained from the research shows a lack of action from Tanjung Uncang community against waste. From the research conducted by the author, it can be concluded that the people of Tanjung Ucang have good knowledge about waste but bad behavior towards garbage management, mostly due to the lack of attention from the local government who are supposed to be able to handle waste problems.

Abstract

Efektifitas program bantuan sosial ditentukan oleh kesesuaian sasaran berdasarkan aturan atau kriteria yang telah disepakati. Permasalahan pada penyaluran bantuan sosial adalah distribusi bantuan kepada masyarakat miskin yang belum merata, dan sasaran program yang belum efektif.  Untuk mengatasi permasalahan ini dibangun  Sistem Pendukung Keputusan (SPK) menerapkan Weighted Product Method (WPM) untuk mengatasi kesalahan dan kecurangan yang dilakukan oleh pihak tertentu serta menghasilkan keputusan yang lebih objektif. Ada 5 kriteria yang digunakan yaitu penghasilan per bulan (C1), luas bangunan per orang (C2), jenis lantai rumah (C3), anak usia 7-15 tahun tidak sekolah (C4) dan pendidikan terakhir kepala keluarga (C5).  Hasil pengujian berdasarkan uji stabilitas dimensi tungal menunjukkan bahwa WPM merupakan metode yang cukup stabil. Diperoleh 21,6% posisi peringkat peserta PKH sangat stabil yang artinya posisi peserta PKH ini tidak berubah pada 6 uji variasi bobot kriteria, diperoleh 67,5% posisi posisi peringkat peserta PKH cukup stabil.  Peserta PKH nomor 90 merupakan peserta yang konsisten selalu berada pada posisi pertama yang berarti peserta ini “paling miskin” diantara peserta yang lainnya, peserta ini memiliki nilai kriteria C1 dan C2 yang rendah dan memiliki nilai kriteria C3, C4 dan C5 yang tinggi. Peserta PKH nomor 219 juga konsisten berada diposisi terakhir yang berarti peserta ini “paling kaya” diantara peserta yang lain, peserta ini memiliki nilai kriteria C1 dan C2 yang tinggi dan memiliki nilai kriteria C3, C4 dan C5 yang rendah. Pada WPM, solusi yang dihasilkan adalah solusi ideal yang meminimumkan kriteria biaya dan memaksimumkan kriteria keuntungan.

Abstract

This study aimed to describe: (1) the practical application of blind parents? parenting on early age children, (2) blind parents? problem during their practical parenting on early age children. This study used a descriptive qualitative approach with the subjects of the study of blind couples who have children aged 6-7 years old, their family members and their neighbors. The method of data collection was gained through observation, interviews and documentation. The data analysis technique used was data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The data was validated through triangulation technique. The results showed that in parenting practices, blind parents could conduct their role as parents well, for example by providing adequate and nutritious food, accompanying children?s activities such as school, and educating good manners to their children. The problem faced by blind parents during their parenting is when the child is sick. For this problem, they will usually ask for help from those who can see.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the management of learning for children with special needs in EFATA PAUD (Early Childhood Education), Semarang. In addition, this study also aims to determine the supporting and inhibiting factors in learning in the EFATA PAUD, Semarang. The method in this research is descriptive qualitative research method with a case study design based on the theory of Ley Kekeh Marthan. Data collection is carried out through interviews, observation and documentation techniques. Observations are made to find out the phenomena associated with the management of learning in the classroom starting from the preliminary activities to the final activities. The observations are followed up by interviewing educators in the EFATA PAUD. The documents collected function as supporting data. Then the validity of the data is seen using triangulation. The results of the analysis of the data that the management of learning for children with special needs in PAUD EFATA Semarang City is related to learning planning, organizing, managing, and evaluating learning that refers to Ley Kekeh Martan's theory in the book on Inclusive Education Management and PAUD standards in Permendikbud No. 137 of 2014. Learning planning includes the application of the 2013 PAUD curriculum, area learning models, practice-based learning methods, visual learning media, and classroom settings based on safety and comfort aspects of play. Organizing includes carrying out the duties and responsibilities of teaching staff and education staff. The management is in the form of supervision and management of school and community relations. The evaluation includes the results of the process and learning outcomes, structured follow-up in the annual program. The management of this learning is also influenced by supporting factors in the form of guidance, and the provision of information from the HIMPAUDI (Association of Early Childhood Education in Indonesia) of Semarang City, the commitment of teachers and parents to support the achievement of institutional goals. Inhibiting factors are the unavailability of adequate facilities including the place of implementation of activities, not having private land, and institutional permits.   Keywords: Learning Management, Children with Special Needs, PAUD EFATA.

Abstract

This study has a purpose to determine the satisfaction level of early childhood educational institutions on the performance of the teachers as alumni from early childhood educational program, to find out which competencies are considered to be the main aspirations by early childhood educational institutions in Central Java Province. This research has a target to get a complete overview about the satisfaction level of the institutions to the alumni as a chance to improve the quality of graduates from Early Childhood Educational Study Program of Faculty of Education in Semarang State University.The initial phase of the study, a survey was conducted at a number of Early Childhood Educational institutions spread across 35 cities and/or regencies in Central Java, to identify and find out whether there are graduates from Early Childhood Educational Study Program of Faculty of Education in Semarang State University who works as teacher at these institutions. In the second stage, the researchers did a mapping to determine which institutions will be used as research samples. The third phase of research was conducted to acquire understanding of the satisfaction level from the samples. The target which was aimed in this research is to develop curriculum in order to improve the quality of graduates. From the analysis result of the study, it showed that Early Childhood Educational institutions were satisfied with the performance of the graduates of Early Childhood Educational Study Program of Faculty of Education in Semarang State University which reached (58.41%). Early Childhood Educational institutions in Central Java would expect that the personality competence to be the first priority to be developed in the Early Childhood Educational Study Program in Semarang State University (36.84%), while the second priority is pedagogical competence (39.48%), professional competence (2.63%) becomes third priority and social competence (21.05%) become the last priority which need to be developed.

Abstract

Penelitian ini berdasarkan tingkat kecerdasan naturalis anak yang belum optimal untuk menghubungkan benda alam dan lingkungan sekitar karena belum  mengenal, memahami serta membedakan jenis tumbuhan. Meningkatkan kecerdasan naturalis anak di Taman Kanak-Kanak Islamiyah peneliti menggunakan pembelajaran bermain peran. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui dan mendiskripsikan perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan hasil peningkatan tingkat kecerdasan naturalis anak melalui bermain peran di Taman Kanak-Kanak Islamiyah. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif, dengan menggunakan pendekatan penelitian yaitu pendekatan kualitatif dan jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (classroom Action Research). Adapun  subjek penelitian dalam penelitian ini 12 orang anak dan 2 orang guru, teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan ialah teknik observasi, teknik wawancara, dan teknik dokumentasi, dengan alat pengumpulan data berupa lembar observasi anak dan guru, pedoman wawancara, buku-buku, surat, dokumen resmi, portofolio,foto. Teknik pemeriksaan keabsahan menggunakan  analisis data dan triangulasi, dan indikator kinerja. Hasil penelitian menunjukan terjadinya peningkatan  pada siklus I  di lima indikator BSB  0%, sedangkan pada siklus II di lima indikator BSB meningkat menjadi 16,66%. Siklus III di lima indikator BSB meningkat menjadi 80,01% mencapai  ketetapan indikator 80%. Hal ini menunjukkan dengan bermain peran dapat meningkatkan kecerdasan naturalis anak.

Abstract

Pembelajaran sains sederhana adalah model pembelajaran yang dapat meningkatkan aspek perilaku anak untuk membantu pelaksanaanya dibutuhkan suatu metode salah satunya metode demonstrasi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah (1) untuk mengetahui persiapan guru dalam menerapkan metode demonstrasi pada pembelajaran sains sederhana, (2) untuk mengetahui penerapan metode demontrasi dalam pembelajaran sains sederhana, (3) untuk mengetahui faktor penghambat  penerapan metode demontrasi dalam pembelajaran sains sederhana dan (4) untuk mengetahui faktor pendukung penerapan metode demontrasi dalam pembelajaran sains sederhana. hasil penelitian,  bahwa Persiapan penerapan metode demonstrasi dalam pembelajaran sains sederhana dapat terlaksana khususnya, Rencana Kegiatan Harian, Alat dan Bahan, Setting Lingkungan. Mengarahkan anak untuk menyebutkan nama-nama benda yang ada di sekitar, mengenal hasil pencampuran warna.Mengadakan komunikasi interaktif kapada anak untuk menggali pengetahuan awal anak tentang sains sederhana. Faktor penghambat dalam proses pembelajaran sains sederhana adalah (1) kurangnya media dalam pembelajaran, (2) kurangnya pemahaman guru dalam pembelajaran sains sederhana, (3) keterbatasan guru di kelas B (4) alat pembelajaran sains sederhana hanya seadanya (5) kurangnya kemampuan pemahaman anak. Faktor pendukung dalam pembelajaran sains sederhana ada beberapa faktor utama yang sangat berpengaruh pada terlaksananya pembelajaran yaitu, guru, anak, sarana dan prasarana.  Kesimpulan penelitian adalah Metode demonstrasi yang diterapkan dalam pembelajaran sains sederhana di PAUD Citra Kartini Pontianak disesuaikan dengan RKH dan RKM.Kata Kunci: penerapan metode demonstrasi dalam pembelajaran sains sederhana.
