Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of innovative learning media by teachers at TK Al-Islah Gorontalo and to examine its influence on students' active engagement. This research employed a qualitative descriptive approach using observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation involving six informants consisting of one school principal and five classroom teachers. The findings reveal that teachers have applied various innovative media, including digital-based media (thematic videos, interactive PowerPoint, and educational application-based games) and local material-based media (cardboard, used bottles, and flannel teaching aids). These innovations enhanced children's motivation, attention, and active participation. Key supporting factors include school leadership support, available facilities, and teacher collaboration, while challenges involve limited time, insufficient ongoing training, and technical constraints. Innovation diffusion occurs gradually through professional collaboration and best practice sharing among teachers. Overall, the implementation of innovative learning media significantly contributed to improving learning quality and children's active engagement at TK Al-Islah Gorontalo

Abstract

This study aims to research the innovation of extracurricular programs carried out by school principals to build 21st-century skills in students at SMP Negeri 2 Limboto. Extracurricular program innovation It is considered a strategy to develop the skills required by students in the 21st-century era, such as creativity, collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills. This study uses a qualitative approach by analyzing the innovation of extracurricular programs implemented by the principal of SMP Negeri 2 Limboto. The study results show that extracurricular program innovations carried out by school principals have a significant role in building 21st-century skills in students. Various innovatively designed extracurricular programs can help students develop critical, creative, communicative, and collaborative skills. In addition, the innovation also provides a space for students to explore their interests and talents outside of the formal curriculum. However, it was found that there were several obstacles related to the program's implementation, namely budget limitations, inadequate facilities, and lack of special training for teachers. These constraints hinder the effectiveness and sustainability of extracurricular programs designed to meet the needs of 21st-century skills. The implication of the results of this study is the need for further support for school principals in developing and implementing extracurricular program innovations relevant to the demands of 21st-century proficiency needs.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan (1) perencanaan, (2) pelaksanaan, dan (3) evaluasi pembelajaran di Sekolah Luar Biasa Negeri Bone Bolango. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan studi dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perencanaan pembelajaran didasari asesmen awal melalui observasi, wawancara orang tua, dan telaah dokumen medis sebagai dasar penyusunan RPI dan modul ajar yang disesuaikan dengan jenis ketunaan, kemampuan kognitif, dan minat siswa. Pelaksanaan pembelajaran menerapkan metode fleksibel dan kontekstual, dengan guru SDLB menggunakan media konkret dan pendekatan bermain, guru SMPLB mengkombinasikan diskusi dan praktik langsung, serta guru SMALB menekankan vokasional dan keterampilan hidup aplikatif. Evaluasi pembelajaran dilakukan melalui observasi, tugas sederhana, video, dan catatan harian. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi pembelajaran di SLBN Bone Bolango telah berjalan secara terstruktur dan individual dengan menekankan keberpihakan pada siswa.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the innovative leadership practices of madrasah principals in initiating a contextual vocational education program through the Barbershop program at MAN 1, Gorontalo Regency. Using a qualitative approach with a case study design, data were obtained through semi-structured interviews, observations, and document analysis, then analyzed using thematic analysis. The results show that the madrasah principal's leadership is characterized by an adaptive, collaborative, and values-based vision, capable of responding to students' real needs and creating vocational learning that is relevant to the local social and economic context. The Barbershop program is a form of educational innovation that integrates technical skills, social responsibility, and Islamic values ​​such as trustworthiness and sincere work. The novelty of this study lies in the introduction of the concept of contextual vocational leadership, namely a leadership model that combines contextual sensitivity, collaboration, and moral values ​​in the management of vocational education in madrasahs. Practically, the results of this study provide guidance for Islamic education leaders and policymakers in designing vocational programs based on the local context and student character.

Abstract

This study aims to strengthen teachers’ Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) by reducing local bureaucratic red tape and developing a creative-adaptive elementary school ecosystem grounded in Boalemo local wisdom. Using Participatory Action Research combined with Asset-Based Community Development at SD Negeri 3 Tilamuta, Boalemo Regency, the study involved 25 grade 4–6 teachers, one principal, and three district education office staff. Data were collected through focus group discussions, OCB and red tape questionnaires, field observation, module document review, and photographic documentation. The intervention comprised four stages: red tape diagnosis, OCB and bureaucracy-literacy workshops, mentoring for Ayambo local-wisdom modules using project-based learning, and policy blueprint validation. Six red tape points were identified. Teachers’ mean OCB score increased from 3.21 to 4.22, five Ayambo-based learning modules were produced with accompanying lesson plans, worksheets, and assessment rubrics, and a school bureaucracy simplification blueprint was validated with the district education office. This study uniquely integrates red tape reduction, OCB strengthening, and culturally responsive school-based management within a single participatory framework. The model offers a replicable intervention for enhancing teacher engagement and streamlining administrative processes in other elementary schools. This research contributes actionable evidence that combining local wisdom with participatory capacity-building effectively reduces bureaucratic burdens and elevates teachers’ discretionary efforts, providing a contextualized blueprint for sustainable school transformation in similar rural settings.

Abstract

This research aims to explore strategies for optimizing the role of school committees in enhancing community participation in education. The research was conducted at SMA Negeri 1 Pinogaluman using a qualitative approach, specifically an exploratory study, through the Focus Group Discussion (FGD) method. A total of 12 participants were involved in this study, consisting of principals, teachers, school committee members, parents, students, and community leaders. The results of the study show that the role of school committees has been established but remains limited to administrative functions, such as fundraising and ceremonial activities. Through data analysis, three main strategies were obtained to optimize the role of school committees, namely (1) capacity building through continuous training and mentoring, (2) increasing collaboration between schools, committees, and the community, and (3) developing transparency and accountability systems in school governance. These strategies contribute to increasing public trust, promoting participatory decision-making, and enhancing the quality of educational management. The novelty of this research lies in its contextual exploration of participatory education governance practices at the secondary school level within the local socio-cultural context, utilizing the FGD approach. Practically, the results of this study provide recommendations for policymakers and school leaders to empower school committees as strategic partners in the development of continuing education.

Abstract

The Doctor of Education Program at State University of Gorontalo will carry out the accreditation, where the alumni's track record and user satisfaction have a sizable portion in the accreditation assessment. This service aims to identify, record, formulate and analyze the profiles of graduate students based on tracer studies in the postgraduate doctoral study program, State University of Gorontalo. In particular, this study aims to: 1) Describe tracer study-based student and alumni profiles in the Postgraduate Education Doctoral Study Program, State University of Gorontalo; 2) Mapping the curriculum in the Postgraduate Education Doctoral Study Program, State University of Gorontalo. This service is designed using a mix method with data collection techniques using questionnaires, observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques using quantitative analysis and qualitative analysis. This service is expected to: a) be input or reference material in improving the quality of students and alumni in the Doctoral Study Program of Postgraduate Education, State University of Gorontalo, b) become a reference in carrying out study and postgraduate program policies in developing the vision and mission of the organization, c) be a reference in the development of study programs and postgraduate programs in preparing accreditation forms in the future, and d) be useful for the formulation of work programs for the Doctor of Education Study Program that are more responsive to the needs of students and alumni. Abstract

The implementation of the Termination of Employment system has rules that are per the work contract agreement mutually agreed upon by the Al-Ishlah Foundation and teachers/employees at MIT Al-Ishlah. This research aims to describe the implementation of employment relations through work agreements and the implementation of the teacher and employee termination system at MIT Al-Ishlah. The research used descriptive qualitative methods. Data was collected through interviews, observation and documentation. The results of the research show that: The implementation of employment relations through work agreements for teachers and employees at MIT Al-Ishlah, namely the appointment, placement, transfer and dismissal of teachers and employees is the full right of the Al-Ishlah Foundation after coordinating with the Madrasah Head based on a work agreement or collective work agreement with the teacher/employee concerned; In implementing the teacher and employee termination system at MIT Al-Ishlah, there are 7 types of employment termination, namely: termination of employment by the foundation, termination of employment due to sanctions imposed on employees, termination of employment due to resignation, termination of employment due to death, termination of employment due to retirement, termination of employment due to the end of the employment contract, and termination of employment work because the teacher/employee is sick for 12 consecutive months or annually. So, it is concluded that the implementation of employment relations through employment agreements for teachers and employees at MIT Al-Ishlah per Law of the Republic of Indonesia No. 14 of 2005 concerning Teachers and Lecturers Article 25 paragraph 3, while the implementation of the teacher and termination system at MIT Al-Ishlah is implemented based on articles 73 and 74.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui manajemen waktu belajar siswa di SMA Negeri 3 Gorontalo, pada aspek: (1) Menetapkan tujuan belajar; (2) Membuat prioritas belajar; (3) Menyusun jadwal belajar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan jenis pendekatan eksplanatori. Jumlah sampel penelitian sebesar 90 orang siswa yang terdiri dari kelas XI dan XII. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner angket, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik analisis deskriptif dengan formula persentase. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Manajemen waktu belajar siswa pada aspek menetapkan tujuan belajar berada pada kategori baik dengan persentase sebesar 82.94%; (2) Manajemen waktu belajar siswa pada aspek membuat prioritas belajar berada pada kategori kurang baik dengan persentase sebesar 70.50%; (3) Manajemen waktu belajar siswa pada aspek menyusun jadwal belajar berada pada kategori kurang baik dengan persentase sebesar 61.55%. Untuk itu disarankan: (1) Sekolah, sebaiknya melakukan koordinasi dengan guru beserta orang tua siswa agar dapat mengarahkan siswa untuk bisa melakukan manajemen waktu belajar; (2) Guru, sebaiknya memotivasi dan membimbing siswa untuk dapat memprioritaskan waktunya untuk belajar dan menyusun jadwal belajar dengan detail; (3) Siswa, sebaiknya memprioritaskan waktu belajar dari pada membuang waktunya sia-sia.

Abstract

Transformasi digital di perguruan tinggi menuntut adanya sistem informasi akademik yang adaptif dan berorientasi pada kebutuhan pengguna. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis bentuk inovasi, tingkat adaptivitas, serta respons pengguna terhadap Sistem Informasi Akademik (SIAKAD) yang dikembangkan di Universitas Negeri Gorontalo. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipatif, dan analisis dokumen, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan model interaktif Miles dan Huberman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa inovasi pada SIAKAD meliputi aspek teknologi, fungsionalitas, dan manajemen melalui implementasi arsitektur modular, integrasi lintas sistem, serta mekanisme pembaruan responsif. Adaptivitas sistem tercermin dari kemampuan menyesuaikan fitur layanan terhadap perubahan kebijakan akademik, pola penggunaan, dan kebutuhan pengguna. Evaluasi menggunakan Model Keberhasilan Sistem Informasi DeLone dan McLean menunjukkan bahwa kualitas sistem, informasi, dan layanan berada pada kategori baik, meskipun dukungan teknis dan kesiapan SDM masih perlu ditingkatkan. Penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa inovasi SIAKAD berkontribusi pada peningkatan efisiensi tata kelola akademik, kepuasan pengguna, dan efektivitas layanan digital universitas.
