Abstract

The low quality of students' understanding of basic concepts in cell biology courses is reflected in the quality of students when explaining these concepts in class. Therefore, there was a need for information regarding student profiles to explain basic concepts of cell biology. This research aimed to describe the student's profile. This quantitative descriptive research involved 41 students from the UMRAH Biology Education Study Program who took the Cell Biology course in the odd semester of 2023-2024. This research used observation sheets to observe explanation skills. Based on the results and discussion obtained, the student profile regarding skills in explaining basic concepts of cell biology is in the less skilled category. Keywords: Ability; Explain; Concepts; Biology; Cell Abstrak Kualitas pemahaman mahasiswa yang rendah tentang konsep-konsep dasar pada mata kuliah biologi sel tercermin dari kualitas mahasiswa ketika menjelaskan konsep-konsep tersebut di dalam kelas. Oleh karena itu, perlu adanya informasi mengenai profil mahasiswa tentang keterampilan menjelaskan konsep-konsep dasar biologi sel. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan profil mahasiswa tersebut. Penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif ini melibatkan mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Biologi UMRAH yang mengikuti mata kuliah Biologi Sel di semester ganjil 2023-2024 sebanyak 41 orang. Penelitian ini menggunakan lembar observasi untuk mengamati keterampilan menjelaskan. Berdasarkan hasil dan pembahasan yang diperoleh, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa profil mahasiswa tentang keterampilan menjelaskan konsep-konsep dasar biologi sel berada pada kategori kurang terampil. Abstract

Lembar validasi memegang peran krusial dalam proses pengembangan produk atau instrumen. Lembar validasi berperan dalam menjamin kualitas produk atau instrumen. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan lembar validasi yang dapat digunakan sebagai instrumen untuk menilai produk yang dikembangkan pada penelitian pengembangan bidang Pendidikan. Prosedur pengembangan lembar validasi didasari oleh penelitian dan pengembangan (Research and Development) model ADDIE. Penelitian ini berlangsung pada tahap pengembangan (development). Lembar validasi ini terdiri dari kisi-kisi dan rubrik penilaian. Kisi-kisi berisi aspek dan indikator. Rubrik penilaian berisi kriteria yang menjadi acuan dalam pemberian skor penilaian oleh validator, selain itu juga berisi ketentuan pemberian skor pada angket. Lembar validasi terbagi menjadi 3 penilaian yaitu materi, pembelajaran dan media. Pada penilaian materi terdiri dari aspek kelayakan isi. Pada penilaian pembelajaran terdiri dari aspek susunan tampilan, bahasa dan kemudahan dibaca. Pada penilaian media terdiri dari tampilan dan pemrograman (bagi pengembangan media digital). Lembar validasi yang dikembangkan sudah divalidasi dan penilaian lembar validasi secara keseluruhan mendapatkan persentase rata-rata sebesar 86,5% dengan tingkat kevalidan sangat valid. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa lembar validasi ini dapat digunakan sebagai instrumen untuk menilai produk yang dikembangkan pada penelitian pengembangan bidang Pendidikan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi jenis bahan ajar yang paling sering digunakan oleh guru, serta menilai efektivitas dan relevansinya dalam meningkatkan pemahaman siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode survei, dengan populasi yang terdiri dari guru biologi dan siswa kelas VII di SMP 4 Siak Hulu. Sampel penelitian dipilih melalui teknik simple random sampling untuk menentukan kelas sebagai responden. Instrumen penelitian berupa angket dan wawancara. Angket dirancang untuk mengumpulkan informasi mengenai jenis bahan ajar, frekuensi penggunaannya, dan relevansinya terhadap kurikulum. Wawancara dilakukan dengan guru untuk memperoleh wawasan lebih mendalam tentang penggunaan bahan ajar. Hasil angket menunjukkan bahwa mutu pendidikan di sekolah tersebut sudah berada pada tingkat yang memuaskan. Namun, terdapat beberapa aspek yang perlu diperbaiki, salah satunya adalah keaktifan siswa. Melalui evaluasi menyeluruh dan perbaikan yang diperlukan, diharapkan mutu pendidikan dapat terus meningkat.

Abstract

Hypertension is one of the public health issues requiring special attention, particularly in Banyuurip Village, Kedamean Subdistrict, Gresik Regency. Based on a preliminary survey, it was found that community awareness regarding hypertension management remains low, while the utilization of local herbal remedies has not been optimized. This community service program aims to enhance public understanding of the benefits of starfruit (Averrhoa bilimbi) juice and lemongrass (Cymbopogon citratus) stems as natural antihypertensive agents, as well as to provide training on their processing and usage. The activities were conducted on Thursday, January 18, 2024, targeting the women of the Family Welfare Empowerment (PKK) group. The program included health education, training on the preparation of starfruit juice and lemongrass stems, and monitoring the impact of these herbal remedies on the blood pressure of participating residents. Evaluations were carried out through pre-tests and post-tests to measure participants’ knowledge levels, as well as blood pressure measurements before and after the use of the herbal products. The results showed a significant increase in community understanding of hypertension and the benefits of local herbal remedies. Furthermore, most participants experienced a reduction in blood pressure after regularly consuming the herbal products introduced during the program. This initiative demonstrated that education and training in processing local herbal resources can be an effective strategy for improving public health. The utilization of starfruit and lemongrass as alternative treatments for hypertension is not only cost-effective but also supports community health independence.

Abstract

Purpose - This research investigates how the Russia-Ukraine conflict affects the volatility of cryptocurrencies, with a specific focus on the comparative stability of Islamic gold-backed cryptocurrencies versus conventional cryptocurrencies, such as Bitcoin.Method - Utilizing the GARCH model, this study examines the risk factors and volatility transmission among cryptocurrencies (Bitcoin and Tether-gold), traditional financial markets (gold and stock markets), and their interrelationships during the conflict period. The study employs the daily closing prices of Bitcoin, Tether-gold, gold, the S&P 500, and the Dow Jones Islamic Market Index from February 7, 2020, to November 30, 2023.Result - Bitcoin experienced significant volatility during the conflict, while the Tether-gold remained more stable. Islamic gold-backed cryptocurrencies have proven to be more stable than conventional ones during geopolitical crises.Implication - The findings offer valuable insights for investors seeking safe-haven assets during periods of economic uncertainty. Gold-backed cryptocurrencies present a more stable investment option compared to conventional cryptocurrencies, especially for investors adhering to Shariah principles.Originality - This research highlights the stability of Islamic gold-backed cryptocurrencies during geopolitical events, contributing to the understanding of safe-haven assets and offering practical implications for portfolio diversification and risk management.

Abstract

Various reviews and examinations of previous researchers on children's character building have been conducted. This is based on the realisation that character building is one of the main goals of education, especially in early childhood education (PAUD) which is known as the golden period of child development. Therefore, this study aims to analyse the implementation of religious and moral education at Permata Bunda Kindergarten in shaping children's character. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, this research involved teachers, students, and parents as the main subjects. The results show that religious education is integrated through habituation, storytelling method, and practical learning, such as ablution and prayer. In addition, the use of learning media in character building is also proven to be an important role in the process of building a generation with character. So that the utilisation of media is highly recommended as one of the strengthening of Islamic character in children. Through this research, it is concluded that in addition to exemplary aspects and habituation methods, providing learning experiences with the use of media is an important factor in building a generation of Islamic character from an early age. This is because children who grow up with the values of honesty, compassion, and responsibility will be better prepared to face the challenges of life in the future.

Abstract

This research examines the digital transformation in the Islamic banking industry towards the Islamic finance 5.0 era, with a focus on analyzing the impact of digitalization on operational efficiency, implementation challenges, and the development of effective governance models. Using a qualitative approach with an interpretive-constructivist paradigm, this study applies a systematic literature review with the PRISMA protocol to analyze primary sources from internationally reputable journals. The results show that digital transformation has resulted in a significant increase in operational efficiency, with a decrease in the Cost-to-Income Ratio of 12.5% and an increase in the accuracy of customer feasibility assessments by up to 78% through the implementation of big data analytics. The implementation of an artificial intelligence-based automation system in the sharia compliance screening process has reduced transaction processing time by up to 65%. The main challenges include the digital infrastructure gap, the complexity of sharia compliance in digital systems, and cybersecurity issues. The governance model developed integrates the Three Lines of Defense with the Digital Shariah Compliance Committee, resulting in an 83% reduction in the incidence of sharia non-compliance. The socio-economic impact can be seen from the increase in Islamic financial inclusion, with service penetration increasing by 156% in the last three years and the distribution of microfinance worth Rp 12.5 trillion to MSMEs. This research contributes to the development of a conceptual framework for digital transformation of Islamic banking that integrates aspects of technology, regulations, and sharia values, as well as provides practical recommendations for the sustainable development of digital Islamic banking.

Abstract

The current condition is still limited in integrated chemistry teaching materials with TPACK(TechnologicalPedagogicalContentKnowledge)especially in Green Chemistry material because this material is a new material in the realm of the merdeka curriculum in 10th Grade of E Phase in Senior High School. Teachers only use printed books as teaching materials or additional materials made in the form of PPTs and modules from the Ministry of Education.This is one of the causes of several problems in learning. This research is the initial stage as the basis for the development of an integrated green chemistry e-module with TPACK. The development model used is ADDIE which consists of five stages, namely Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation.This research is limited to the needs analysis stage which includes the analysis of Learning Outcomes (CP) of E Phase, and analysis of topics on chemistry materials, analysis of problems and needs of teachers and problems and needs of students. The data collection instrument uses interviews and questionnaires. The subjects of this study consisted of 12 chemistry teachers and 84 students from Riau and Kepulauan Riau Province. The results of this preliminary analysis research include an analysis of the subject matter of 10th Grade class while there are 5 material topics and based on the questionnaire the needs of these topics include the topics with the highest percentage to be developed into e-modules because they are considered difficult by most respondents. Then the results were also obtained that there are still some shortcomings in the teaching materials used today, so that 94% of students and 100% of teachers stated that they need the development of TPACK-based teaching materials.

Abstract

Harun Nasution is an Islamic thinker who has made significant contributions to the reform of Islamic education in Indonesia. One of his monumental ideas is the establishment of postgraduate programs at State Islamic Universities (PTIN), such as at IAIN which is now UIN. Higher education in Indonesia, especially in the context of Islamic education, has experienced rapid development, but still faces challenges in integrating science with religious values. Harun Nasution, as one of the great thinkers in Islamic education, offers a very relevant perspective in answering this challenge. Harun Nasution's Islamic educational thinking emphasizes the importance of education that combines religious knowledge with modern science. This article aims to analyze Harun Nasution's thoughts on Islamic education and their relevance to the development of postgraduate programs at state universities in Indonesia. Through a qualitative approach, this article shows that Harun Nasution's thoughts can be a basis for curriculum renewal, increasing the capacity of lecturers, and developing research based on the integration of religious knowledge and science. Thus, postgraduate education at state universities in Indonesia is expected to produce graduates who are academically competent and have real contributions to the progress of the people and the nation.

Abstract

Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk mengaktualisasikan program rancangan perubahan pada satuan kerja sebagai wujud pengejawantahan kegiatan Latihan Dasar (Latsar) CPNS Golongan III Angkatan I (satu) Kementerian Agama Republik Indonesia Tahun 2024 yang diselenggarakan oleh Balai Diklat Keagamaan (BDK) Surabaya. Program yang dirancang dalam aktualisasi core Values ASN BerAKHLAK ini adalah Oprimalisasi Layanan Surat Izin Riset Berbasis Digital di Fakultas Syari’ah UIN Raden Intan Lampung. Pengabdian ini menggunakan model Participatory Technology Development yang memanfaatkan teknologi tepat guna secara maksimal yang berbasis pada ilmu pengetahuan dan kearifan budaya lokal. Adapun tahapannya adalah (1) identifikasi isu aktual menggunakan teknik tapisan isu AKPL (Aktual, Khalayak, Problematik, dan Layak), USG (Urgency, Seriousness, and Growth), dan fishbone diagram; (2) penyusunan langkah kegiatan pembuatan halaman layanan digital surat izin riset. Dalam kegiatan optimalisasi layanan ini, penulis mendapatkan beberapa kendali, dan berhasil memunculkan solusi penanganannya. Pengabdian ini penting dan bermanfaat, karena; pertama, bentuk digitalisasi layanan, kedua, peningkatan layanan kepada mahasiswa, dan ketiga, mempermudah kinerja staf yang bertugas. Melalui aktualisasi ini, penulis mengimplementasikan nilai-nilai dasar PNS BerAKHLAK di lingkungan kerja UIN Raden Intan Lampung.
