Abstract

Abstract – SD Negeri 12 Padang Panjang is one of the schools that has made efforts to implement the Adiwiyata program. In 2024, the school represented the city of Padang Panjang in the Adiwiyata competition at the West Sumatra provincial level; however, it did not achieve optimal results. For the 2025 Adiwiyata program, SD Negeri 12 has set a target to become the provincial representative of West Sumatra. Based on the evaluation results from 2024, it was found that the assessment indicator for Participatory-Based Environmental Activities needs improvement. One activity that can support this effort is hydroponic cultivation. A hydroponic cultivation training was conducted by 26 fifth-grade students. The training included both theoretical material and hands-on practice in cultivating green vegetables using a hydroponic system. The training was guided by two experts who are competent in the field. This training successfully increased students' knowledge of hydroponic vegetable cultivation. Moreover, over 90% of the participants demonstrated teamwork and developed a greater awareness of environmental care. This outcome is a significant contribution to supporting SD Negeri 12 Padang Panjang Barat’s efforts toward achieving Adiwiyata School status.

Abstract

The educational process needs to be guided by clear rules and regulations so that the learning atmosphere remains orderly and educational goals can be achieved optimally. Discipline enables students to direct and control their behavior in accordance with school expectations. This study employed a quantitative approach with a descriptive correlational design. The sample consisted of 250 students in Grades VII, VIII, and IX at SMP Pembangunan Laboratorium UNP, selected using proportional random sampling. Research instruments included self-management, achievement motivation, and student discipline scales based on a Likert response format. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and multiple regression analysis. The results indicated a significant relationship between self-management and achievement motivation and student discipline, with both predictors jointly accounting for 25.4% of the variance in discipline. These findings can be used as input for designing guidance and counseling service programs at SMP Pembangunan Laboratorium UNP.

Abstract

The rise of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in online learning has reshaped education, with AI-driven feedback as a key innovation. This paper systematically reviews its role in enhancing student motivation through the lens of Self-Determination Theory (SDT). Using a PRISMA-based Systematic Literature Review (SLR), 20 journal articles were selected from Scopus and Web of Science. VOSviewer supported bibliometric and thematic analyses, mapping keyword co-occurrence and research trends. Results show that AI-driven feedback enhances competence through timely, specific guidance; promotes autonomy through adaptive personalization; and fosters relatedness through interactive features and gamification. Challenges include affective satisfaction, ethical concerns, data privacy, and balancing teacher technology roles. AI-driven feedback can enhance intrinsic motivation in online learning when integrated with sound pedagogy and teacher support. Future research should explore long-term impacts and refine strategies for human AI balance. Keywords: AI-driven feedback, adaptive learning, student motivation, online learning

Aggressive behavior in adolescents, especially in male students, is often influenced by two significant factors: narcisstic and social rejection. This study aims to analyze the contribution of narcissistic tendencies and social rejection experiences to aggressive behavior of male students at State Vocational School 5 Padang. The phenomenon of aggressive behavior is often influenced by psychological and social factors, including narcissistic tendencies and social rejection, which can worsen interactions between students. The sample of this study consisted of 182 male students selected by purposive sampling. The method used was quantitative with a correlational approach, using a questionnaire instrument that measured narcissistic tendencies (NT), experiences of social rejection (ESR), and aggressive behavior (AB). Data analysis showed that narcissistic tendencies have a significant contribution to aggressive behavior, with a fairly high correlation coefficient (r = 0.374, p < 0.05). Meanwhile, social rejection also showed a significant contribution to aggressive behavior (r = 0.507, p < 0.05).  A significant contribution between narcissistic tendencies and social rejection (r = 0.524, p<0.05). These findings indicate that students with high narcissistic tendencies and experiences of social rejection tend to be more prone to exhibit aggressive behavior. The importance of psychological and social interventions in the school environment to minimize aggressive behavior and improve students' social relationships. Abstract

This study aims to test the effectiveness of group counseling services using the Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) approach in reducing students' anxiety facing college entrance exams. This study uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design with a pretest-posttest control group design. The subjects were 14 students of grade XII of SMA Pertiwi 1 Padang who had moderate to high levels of anxiety based on the initial measurement results. Data were collected using the College Entrance Exam Anxiety Scale developed to cover three main dimensions: emotional, cognitive, and physiological anxiety. This scale consists of 37 valid statements with a Cronbach's Alpha reliability value of 0.93, indicating a very high level of reliability. Data analysis was performed using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test and the Kolmogorov-Smirnov 2 Independent Samples Test with the help of SPSS version 26.0. The results showed a Z value = -2.36 and p = 0.01 (p < 0.05) in the experimental group, which means there was a significant difference between the anxiety levels before and after treatment. Meanwhile, there were no significant differences in the control group. These results demonstrate that group counseling services using the REBT approach are effective in reducing student anxiety, particularly in the emotional, cognitive, and physiological aspects. This approach helps students think more rationally, manage their emotions, and reduce physical symptoms of anxiety leading up to college entrance exams.

The research method uses a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental one group pretest-posttest design. The research sample consisted of 9 eighth-grade students who had self-injury behavior, selected using a purposive sampling technique. The research instrument used a self-injury behavior questionnaire with a Likert scale. The intervention was carried out through eight mindful self-compassion group counseling sessions. Data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon signed ranks test. The results of the study showed that: there was a significant difference in self-injury behavior of students before and after being given mindful self-compassion group counseling treatment; the posttest score was lower than the pretest score; there was a significant decrease in self-injury behavior of students before and after being given mindful self-compassion group counseling treatment. Based on the results of the study, mindful self-compassion is quite effective in reducing self-injury behavior in students.
