Abstract

Abstract

Sleman Regency possesses significant potential for Salak Pondoh production, yet product diversification among MSMEs remains relatively low. This study aims to analyze the influence of Sarisa Merapi’s Business Model (X1) and Product Innovation (X2) on Product Diversification strategies (Y) within salak-based MSMEs in Sleman. The research employed a quantitative associative method with a sample of 30 MSME practitioners. Data were collected via questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression through SPSS software. The results indicate that, partially, Product Innovation has a positive and significant effect on Product Diversification. Conversely, Sarisa Merapi’s Business Model has a negative and non-significant influence on Product Diversification. This suggests that merely utilizing a successful entity as a role model without internal innovation capabilities is insufficient to drive effective product diversification. Simultaneously, both variables significantly influence diversification strategies, contributing 45.9% to the variance. This study recommends the importance of enhancing internal innovation capacity and adopting appropriate technology for MSMEs to increase the value-added of agribusiness products.

Abstract

Digital transformation and the Society 5.0 paradigm require Islamic educational institutions to adapt strategically, not only in terms of technology, but also in values, ethics, and their social role. Ma’had Al-Jami’ah IAIN Pontianak, as an institution for character, spiritual, and intellectual development, holds a strategic position in preparing students to become navigators of digital change. This Community Service with Scientific Orientation (PKM-KI) was carried out in the form of a socialization program entitled “Digital Transformation as a Pillar for Strengthening the Role of Ma’had Al-Jami’ah IAIN Pontianak in Society 5.0”, targeting Ma’had administrators, musyrif/musyrifah, and resident students. The methods used included interactive lectures, presentation of national digital data, group discussions, and participatory approaches in a two-hour session. The results indicate five main outcomes: (1) increased awareness of the urgency of digital adaptation within Ma’had; (2) better understanding of the concept and position of Society 5.0; (3) strengthened digital literacy, ethics, and cyber security awareness, leading to the initiative to formulate a Ma’had Digital Ethics SOP; (4) broader insight into digitalpreneurship opportunities and the use of creative content as a medium for da’wah, education, and the creative economy; and (5) growing awareness of the importance of a collaborative digital ecosystem involving Ma’had, the wider campus, communities, government, and industry. Overall, this PKM-KI program provides an initial foundation for strengthening the role of Ma’had Al-Jami’ah in shaping adaptive, competitive, and solution-oriented students in the era of Society 5.0.

Abstract

Outpatient registration services represent a critical touchpoint in the patient experience at hospitals. A mismatch between expectations and the actual service delivered can affect patient satisfaction. Public hospitals continue to face complaints related to the registration process, such as long waiting times, unclear information, and inadequate waiting facilities. This study aims to assess patient satisfaction with outpatient registration services by comparing expectations and perceptions based on Expectancy Disconfirmation Theory and by using the Importance Performance Analysis (IPA) method to provide service improvement recommendations. This quantitative study employed an analysis of identically similar characteristics of paired Expectation and Perception 84 patients, using a questionnaire based on the World Health Organization’s seven service quality dimensions. The findings reveal a negative gap between expectation scores (mean = 3.21, CI Lower Bound = 3.0204, Upper Bound = 3.3956) and perception scores (mean = 2.75, CI Lower Bound = 2.5008, Upper Bound = 2.9962). The Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test showed a significant difference (p-value < 0.05) between expectations and perceptions. The IPA analysis indicated that priority service attributes that need to be improved include the availability of waiting chairs, accuracy and speed, attention and empathy, and service discrimination. These results suggest that outpatient registration services in public hospitals have not fully met patient expectations. Therefore, improving service quality in several key attributes is crucial to enhancing patient satisfaction.

Abstract

Based on observations and interviews conducted by the researcher in 2025 with 10 daily workers in the production department of Factory X, it was found that all workers (100%) exhibited poor behavior in the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), namely, they did not use PPE completely. Thru interviews, it was also found that there had been work accident incidents, such as a worker whose hand was blistered from being scalded by hot water from the boiler machine, preventing them from working for several months. There were also other workers who sustained hand injuries from the machine. This study aims to identify the characteristics of workers who do not comply with the use of PPE. This study uses a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional study design, and data collection was carried out thru questionnaires using the total sampling method. The population in this study includes all daily production workers at Factory X, totaling 51 people. The results of the univariate analysis show that 41 people (100% of respondents) are not compliant with the use of PPE. The characteristics of non-compliant workers are dominated by those aged ≥ 30 years, totaling 36 people (87.8%). By gender, most are male, with 34 people (82.9%). Meanwhile, there are 24 workers (58.5%) with a good level of knowledge. However, 26 workers (63.4%) show a poor attitude toward PPE use. From a supervision perspective, 23 people (56.1%) stated that supervision was good. Regarding the comfort of using PPE, 21 workers (51.2%) stated that they felt uncomfortable. Based on these findings, the researchers suggest that factory management issue warnings or sanctions to workers who do not comply with PPE usage rules, and conduct awareness campaigns.

Abstract

Cervical cancer was the fourth most common cancer among women worldwide in 2022, with an estimated 604,000 new cases and 342,000 deaths. In Indonesia, according to the 2018 Basic Health Research (Riskesdas), cervical cancer ranks second after breast cancer, with an incidence of approximately 23 cases per 100,000 population and a mortality rate of 17 per 100,000 population. This study employed a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional design. The population consisted of 561 women of reproductive age residing in Pulau Harapan Village. The sample size was determined using a two-proportion test, resulting in 150 respondents. Data were collected using a questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis included univariate and bivariate analyses using the Chi-square test. The majority of respondents were aged 30–39 years, married, had higher education, were unemployed or housewives, and had a monthly income of less than IDR 3,000,000. Most respondents reported easy access to healthcare facilities and received information and education about cervical cancer from healthcare professionals. Sociodemographic factors significantly associated with Pap smear utilization were age (p = 0.000) and marital status (p = 0.000). Meanwhile, the health information factor significantly associated with Pap smear utilization was the source of health information (p = 0.040). These findings indicate that improving Pap smear utilization in island communities requires strengthening community-based health education strategies and optimizing the role of healthcare professionals as primary sources of health information. It is recommended that community health centers and local governments intensify active promotion, expand periodic mass screening programs, and integrate Pap smear education into routine health services to increase early cervical cancer detection among women of reproductive age.
