Abstract

Traffic density data plays an important role in decision making by the Intelligent Transportation System (ITS). This system uses this data in the process of adaptive traffic management. The inaccuracy of the data provided into the ITS system can result in errors in decision making. This study utilizes digital image engineering technology in the detection of four-wheeled vehicles in traffic traffic for the purpose of acquiring traffic density data. In this study, we propose a multi-ROI (pixel area methodRegion of Interest). This multi-ROI proposal is to be put forward to improve reading accuracy compared to just one ROI. With the use of this multi-ROI, the information obtained from the overall ROI can strengthen the accuracy of the data of vehicles passing in a lane. Our experimental results show that the use of multi-ROI with a certain amount of ROI can produce an accuracy rate of up to 88.66% compared to single-ROI which has an accuracy rate of 84.65%.

Abstract

Khairun University Campus IV is currently being developed as an educational tourism location. One form of activity is developing agricultural land. The problem there is that the land is still not very fertile. Efforts that can be made are by developing ectomycorrhizal inoculants to increase soil fertility. Community service activities are directed at providing training to the community around Campus IV Unkhair in producing ectomycorrhizal inoculants. Ectomycorrhiza has several benefits for plants, namely being able to increase the uptake of P and N nutrients. The series of service activities carried out are providing training and practice in exploring ectomycorrhiza in the forest around the Unkhair campus IV area, training in the production of ectomycorrhizal inoculants, and training in applying ectomycorrhizal inoculants on agricultural land.

The objectives of this research to find out; 1) The types of code mixing most used by English teacher in English Class SMP Negeri 2 Tomia; 2) The factors are likely cause to the use of code mixing by English teacher in English class at SMP Negeri 2 Tomia. This research using a sociolinguistic approach with applied descriptive qualitative method. The subject of this research was English teacher at Smp Negeri 2 Tomia. The object of this research is Code Mixing used by English teacher in grade 8A. The instruments used in this research were observation and interview. Based on the finding, the researcher concluded that there were three types of code mixing that used by English teacher, there were Insertions, Alternative and Congruent Lexicalixation. The researcher found the most use type that used by English teacher was Insertion. The results of interview session showed the reason why the teacher used code mixing in English class, first because the teacher was bilingual, this is also due to students' vocabulary skills that are still lacking, and situation because students just get basic English when in junior high school. The students didn’t understand what the teacher’s says when explained the material so the teacher used code mixing and the students could understand and receive it.

Abstract

The main goal of the study was to determine whether or not students in the second year of Boarding School Putra II Sengkang's academic year 2019–2020 can improve their speaking abilities by drawing on personal experience. It was pre-experimental research in this study. The researcher selected VIII.B with 30 students for this study using a cluster random sampling approach. The research's primary tool was a speaking exam. The speaking exam was intended to determine if the second-year students at Boarding School Putra II Sengkang had improved their speaking abilities. The findings of this study show that after treating students with personal experience, their speaking abilities significantly improved. The value (Sig. 2 tailed) was used to demonstrate the point. With a level of significance (α) of 0.05 and a degree of freedom (df) of N-1 = 30, the value (Sig. 2 tailed) is 0.000. The alternative hypothesis (H1) was approved as a result. Based on the findings, the researcher draws the conclusion that the students' speaking abilities were considerably impacted by the application of personal experience, indicating that personal experience helps students talk more clearly.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine whether or not using the directed reading thinking activity approach can enhance first-year MTs As'adiyah Putra 2 Sengkang students' reading comprehension of narrative texts. With an experimental class, this study used a pre-experimental design. Pre-test and post-testing were done as part of the data collection process. The first year of MTs As'adiyah Putra 2 Sengkang in the academic year 2020–2021 made up the population of this study. 32 students from the VII B class were used in the purposive sampling strategy to collect the sample. The research used multiple choice, true/false, and matching word questions as its instruments. The outcome of the data analysis revealed a substantial difference between the pre-test and post-test scores of the students. It was demonstrated by the statistical analysis's finding that the post-test score was higher than the pre-test (0.000 < 0.05), which was significant at the level of 0.05. The researcher draws the conclusion that using the directed reading thought activity strategy helps students' reading comprehension of narrative texts based on the analysis's findings.
