Abstract

Kentang merupakan salah satu bahan pangan yang mampu menggantikan bahan pangan utama dunia setelah padi, gandum dan jagung. Disamping itu, kentang termasuk salah satu komoditas hortikultura yang mempunyai nilai perdagangan domestik dan potensi ekspor yang cukup baik. Menentukan jarak proses terbaik untuk menghasilkan produk yang berkualitas dari hasil pengupasan terbaik. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui jarak piring rotari pada proses pengupasan kulit kentang dari hasil pengupasan terbaik.Pengujian dilakukan dengan terlebih dahulu mempersiapkan bahan baku kentang dengan jenis kentang kuning sebanyak 9 kg dengan massa 1 kg setiap percobaan. Pengujian ini dilakukan pada variasi jarak 8cm, dengan kecepatan putaran 49 Rpm pada satu siklus. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian diperoleh berdasarkan jarak piring rotary terbaik adalah pada jarak 7 cm dengan kapasitas 40 kg/jam dan dengan daya terbaik adalah 35,294 watt. Abstract

Mesin penggiling sekam padi adalah mesin yang digunakan untuk proses penggiling sekam padi. Dengan menggunakan batu gerinda yang terpasang pada poros digerakkan oleh motor. Pengujian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh variasi putaran batu giling terhadap produktivitas. Mesin yang diuji berkapasitas 30 kg/jam. Dengan menyiapkan mesin penggiling sekam padi dan alat uji yang digunakan kemudian bahan baku yang digunakan adalah sekam padi kering dengan density 0,902 kg/liter dengan ukuran rata-rata panjang 3 mm dan diameter 1-1,5 mm. Dari hasil pengujian ini ternyata diperoleh kapasitas 23,4 kg/jam yang bekerja pada putaran 992 rpm, sedangkan pada kapasitas 24,6 kg/jam yang bekerja pada putaran 1097 rpm, kapasitas 34,2 kg/jam yang bekerja pada putaran 1457 rpm. Kualitas yang didapat pada putaran 992 rpm yaitu 59% sekam halus dan 41% tidak halus, sedangkan pada putaran 1097 rpm yaitu 63,4% sekam halus dan 36,6 tidak halus dan pada putaran 1457 rpm yaitu 60% sekam halus dan 40% tidak halus. Effisiensi daya dan daya produksi yang dihasilkan pada putaran 992 rpm, besarnya effisiensi mesin 34,6% dengan daya 1733 Watt didapat daya produksi 74,05 Watt/kg, sedangkan pada putaran 1097 rpm besarnya effisiensi 33,3% dengan daya 1800 Watt didapat daya produksi 73,17 Watt/kg dan pada putaran 1457 rpm, besarnya effisiensi mesin 30% dengan daya 2000 Watt didapat daya produksi 58,47 Watt/kg. Abstract

The activity of making mask straps was carried out as an effort to develop the creativity of the elderly in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic. The activity was carried out at the Harapan Kita Orphanage, Palembang City, involving all elderly people of productive age. This activity aims to provide knowledge about the importance of using masks in protecting oneself from exposure to the COVID-19 virus. The method used in implementing activities is participatory with several stages including 1) Preparation stage, 2) Implementation stage consisting of providing materials and equipment; Training and education; Creative ideas from the elderly; Collaboration and discussion; Mini exhibition in the orphanage's meeting hall; and Giving appreciation to the elderly group, 3) Evaluation Stage. The results of the activity have a positive impact not only on the elderly but also on the administrators of social institutions. The success of this activity shows the extraordinary potential of elderly creativity in responding to global health challenges, while also strengthening social ties and well-being among the elderly.

Abstract

Akrilamida merupakan senyawa karsinogenik yang dapat dari   reaksi antara protein (asam amino) dengan karbohidrat (gula pereduksi) yang tinggi melalui proses pemanasan suhu tinggi. Ubi jalar cilembu  mengandung protein dan karbohidrat yang tinggi, jika diolah dengan pemanasan suhu tinggi akan berpotensi terbentuknya akrilamida. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh variasi suhu terhadap kadar akrilamida yang terbentuk pada ubi jalar cilembu. Sampel ubi jalar cilembu dioven pada variasi suhu 100°C, 120°C, 140°C dan 160°C selama 3 jam serta ubi jalar cilembu mentah. Akrilamida pada sampel dianalisis secara kualitatif dengan metode KLT dan kuantitatif dengan metode spektrofotometri UV-Vis. Ubi jalar cilembu melalui beberapa variasi suhu yang diekstraksi dengan pelarut dikloromethana p.a dan dilarutkan dengan aquadest. Sampel di baca pada panjang gelombang 206 nm.Hasil data dianalisis dengan menggunakan metode one-way anova. Hasil analisis kadar akrilamida pada ubi jalar cilembu mentah sebesar 5,44 mg/Kg; pada ubi jalar cilembu melalui pemanasan suhu 100°C memperoleh kadar akrilamida sebesar 8,43 mg/Kg; suhu 120°C sebesar 20,09 mg/Kg; suhu 140°C sebesar 38,44 mg/Kg; dan suhu 160°C sebesar 43,38 mg/Kg. Perbedaan kadar akrilamida signifikan pada semua variasi suhu pemanasan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian variasi suhu pemanasan mempengaruhi kadar akrilamida yang terbentuk, semakin tinggi suhu pemanasan semakin tinggi kadar akrilamida

Abstract

This study seeks to find solutions to the rampant corruption practices in Indonesia today. The purpose of this study is to further reason about the legal norms contained in the legislation related to law enforcement corruption eradication in Indonesia by using the approach of Islamic law theory. The research method used in this study is a normative juridical approach that is done by examining the theories, concepts, principles of law, legislation by putting the law as a building system of legal norms. the results of the study conducted that the legal norms contained in the legislation on the eradication of corruption contains only two elements, namely AR-Rashi and al-murtashi, on the contrary in Islamic law there are three elements of ar-Rashi, al-murtashi and ar-Ra'isy. If the element of ar-raisy (intermediary) is not absorbed into the sub-system of Corruption Eradication law, it will become very weak. the concept of punishment in the Corruption Eradication legislation is limited to imprisonment and fines, while in Islamic law it is divided into three categories, namely; First, the ta'zīr law which is about the body consisting of the death penalty and volumes; second, the ta'zīr punishment which is about the independence or freedom of a person in the form of imprisonment; and Third, ta'zīr law regarding property, such as punitive damages or fines and confiscation so that Islamic law looks more comprehensive and systematic.

Abstract

Composite materials have experienced quite rapid development as new alternative materials to replace metal materials. The concrete structure is the main structure of a building and will experience a decrease in its mechanical strength over time. In this study, laminated composite materials from woven jute fabrics will be used as reinforcement for concrete structures. The purpose of this study was to obtain the tensile strength of cylindrical column concrete (BKS) reinforced by laminated jute composite (KLJ) using the split tensile test method, to analyze the validity of the test results using the normally distributed data method (DTN), and to analyze the tensile strength of BKS reinforced KLJ based on test results of the split tensile test method. The split tensile test uses the ASTM C496 standard with a variety of layers from 1 layer to 4 layers of KLJ. Each variation was tested 3 times. KLJ casing printing on BKS uses the Vacuum Bagging method. As a comparison, 3 specimens without KLJ casing were prepared as control specimens. The results of the investigation showed that the application of the KLJ sheath to the BKS resulted in an increase in the split tensile strength of the BKS at 1, 2, 3, and 4 KLJ sheaths by 62%, 166%, 200%, and 330% respectively. Thus, the provision of a KLJ sheath has the potential to strengthen the BKS structure.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to obtain the damage pattern of cylindrical column concrete specimens (BKS) reinforced with laminate jute composite (KLJ) based on the results of the Split Tensile Test, to determine the phenomenon of applying laminated jute composite reinforcement to cylindrical column concrete on the percentage of crack patterns ( PPR) specimens, and analyze the comparison between split tensile strength (KTB) and PPR. The test specimens were printed based on the ASTM C496 test standard using the Vacuum Bagging method. Specimen variations consist of 1 to 4 layers of KLJ and one variation without KLJ sheath as a control specimen. The split tensile test used the UTM test tool with each variation being carried out with 3 repetitions. PPR observations and calculations were carried out with the help of Adobe Photoshop software. The results of the study show that the greater the KTB value, the greater the PPR that occurs. The increase in PPR in each KTB is reported in this article.

Abstract

In this study, reinforcement of the concrete structure was done by coating it with a laminate composite material from a combination of reinforcement from natural materials (woven jute cloth sheets) and synthetic materials (woven e-glass fiber sheets). The purpose of this study was to determine the split tensile strength of cylindrical column concrete (BKS) using the split tensile test method due to the application of e-glass laminate hybrid composite sheath (KLHJG), to analyze the validity of the data using the normally distributed data method (DTN). on the results of the shear strength test of the KLHJG sheath as reinforcement for BKS, and analysis of the effect of applying KLHJG's sheath on the tensile strength of BKS. Specimens were printed based on the ASTM C496 test standard by immersion in clean water for 28 days and drying in the open air for 28 days. The KLHJG variation consists of JGJ, JJG, JJJG, JGJG, and GJGJ. Each variation consists of 3 repetitions of the test. The process of providing KLHJG casings to BKS uses the Vacuum Bagging method. Data validity uses the probability density function method. The results of the study show that the provision of KLHJG can increase the split tensile strength by up to 800%. Thus, the KLHJG application has the potential to be applied as a BKS booster.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to calculate the amount of energy that can be absorbed (toughness) of the material based on the graph of the results of the split tensile test of cylinder column concrete specimens (BKS) reinforced with laminated jute composite (KLJ) and analysis of the comparison between split tensile strength (KTB) and material toughness from the results split tensile test of BKS specimen reinforced by KLJ. The test specimens were printed based on the ASTM C496 test standard using the Vacuum Bagging method. Specimen variations consist of 1 to 4 layers of KLJ and one variation without KLJ sheath as a control specimen. The split tensile test used the UTM test tool with each variation being carried out with 3 repetitions. Calculation of Material Toughness Energy (EKB) using the Trapezoidal Numerical Integration method. The results of the study showed that giving KLJ boosters to BKS was able to increase EKB up to more than 1000% starting with 2 layers of sheathing. Thus the provision of KLJ to BKS can be recommended as a strengthening material for concrete column structures.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the performance of a centrifugal blower in a Turbo Chopper for Rice Straw as Ruminant Livestock Feed. Conducted over six months at a machine production workshop in Medan Perjuangan, the research employed a qualitative method. The focus was on the blower's impeller, a critical component for increasing air pressure. Tests were performed on impellers with varying numbers of blades (4, 6, and 8) at a constant speed of 1400 rpm. The results showed that the impeller with 4 blades produced the highest wind speed of 4.8 m/s and the greatest efficiency of 0.029%. The study also included an analysis of the blower's torque, flow capacity, and efficiency. These findings are significant for industrial applications, particularly in the process of chopping rice straw, where the centrifugal blower can enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness. This study provides insights into the use of centrifugal blowers to improve the performance of agricultural equipment and potential applications in other industries.
