Abstract

This study aims to develop and produce interactive multimedia learning This study aims to develop interactive multimedia learning for Arts and Culture integrated with Senjang local wisdom for elementary school students in Musi Banyuasin and to determine its validity, practicality, and effectiveness in improving learning outcomes. The development process applied the Rowntree model, consisting of planning, development, and evaluation stages. Data were collected through observation, interviews, questionnaires, expert validation, and pretest–posttest assessments. The product was validated by material, media, and language experts, followed by one-to-one testing, small group trials, and a field test involving 60 students. The effectiveness of the multimedia was analyzed using the N-Gain score. The expert validation results obtained an average score of 89.51%, categorized as very valid. Practicality testing showed high feasibility with student and teacher responses of 92.6% and 93.8%, categorized as very practical. The effectiveness test demonstrated an N-Gain value of 0.79, indicating a high level of effectiveness in improving learning outcomes. The novelty of this study lies in integrating Senjang, an oral cultural heritage of Musi Banyuasin, into interactive multimedia learning, serving not only as a pedagogical tool but also as a medium for cultural preservation aligned with the Merdeka Curriculum and digital learning demands.materials based on local wisdom for the Cultural Arts subject in elementary schools, specifically to enhance students’ understanding of local wisdom at SDN 1 Ulak Paceh, Musi Banyuasin. The development process employed the Rowntree development model, consisting of three main stages: planning, development, and evaluation. The study involved 60 students from SDN 1 Ulak Paceh who participated in pretest and posttest activities, as well as two educators to identify instructional needs. Data were collected through observations, interviews, and questionnaires, and the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of the multimedia materials were evaluated using expert validation, small group trials, and N-Gain analysis. The validation results indicated that the developed interactive multimedia was highly valid with an average expert validation score of 89.51%. The practicality test showed very high practicality levels with small group scores of 92.6% and 93.8%, while the effectiveness test revealed an N-Gain score of 0.79 in the high category, indicating significant improvement in students’ learning outcomes. This research introduces interactive multimedia learning materials integrating local wisdom from Musi Banyuasin, particularly the Senjang cultural element, as a means to preserve regional culture while improving the quality of learning in Cultural Arts subjects at the elementary level.

Abstract

This study directly addresses the lack of engaging methods for teaching English grammar to junior high school students by exploring TikTok as an alternative medium for instruction. Employing a mixed methods approach, it combines a one-group pre-test and post-test experimental design with qualitative observations to assess both learning outcomes and student experiences. The participants were 25 eighth-grade students at SMP Negeri 17 Samarinda. They created group-based TikTok videos to explain assigned grammar tenses after completing a grammar pre-test. The findings revealed a significant improvement in grammar mastery, as confirmed by statistical analysis, and students demonstrated increased motivation, creativity, and collaboration. These results suggest that TikTok, when used with clear objectives and instructional support, can be a powerful supplementary tool for grammar learning.

Abstract

This article discusses gender equality and women's rights from an Islamic perspective. This topic also involves its application in family life and family planning (FP) programs. Patriarchal culture often places women in an unequal position, particularly in household and reproductive matters. However, Islam teaches that men and women have equal status before God. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) also exemplifies a family relationship characterized by mutual care and support. This research uses a qualitative approach, reviewing various scientific references to analyze how society constructs the roles of men and women, men's involvement in family planning, and Islamic law's perspective on birth control. The results indicate that gender equality must be achieved through a fair division of family tasks, increasing men's participation in family planning, and providing early gender education. Under Islamic law, limiting the number of children (tahdid an-nasl) is not permitted, but regulating the number of children (tanzhim an-nasl) is permitted as long as the goal is to maintain maternal health and family well-being. Therefore, realizing gender equality in family life is an important step in creating healthy, just, and happy families.

Abstract

Supervisi akademik merupakan upaya sistematis kepala sekolah dalam membina dan meningkatkan profesionalisme guru guna memastikan mutu pembelajaran tercapai. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami peran supervisi akademik kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan profesionalisme guru Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) di SMP PIRI Lampung Selatan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis studi kasus, melibatkan kepala sekolah, guru PAI, dan beberapa informan pendukung. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi, serta analisis data mengikuti langkah Miles, Huberman, & Saldaña (2014): reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) kepala sekolah melaksanakan supervisi akademik dalam perencanaan peningkatan kompetensi pedagogik dan profesional guru PAI, (2) pelaksanaan supervisi dilakukan melalui kunjungan kelas, diskusi guru, pelatihan, dan pembinaan rutin, dan (3) evaluasi supervisi menghasilkan tindak lanjut berupa peningkatan kualitas perangkat pembelajaran, penguatan metode dan media mengajar, serta perubahan sikap profesional guru PAI. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa supervisi akademik berkontribusi dalam peningkatan profesionalisme guru PAI, khususnya dalam kemampuan pedagogik, kompetensi profesional, dan komitmen terhadap mutu pembelajaran

Abstract

This study aimed to find out the development of bilingual picture book media as a tool of literary appreciation for grade IV elementary school students, to determine the feasibility of the bilingual picture book, and to identify students’ responses to the media. This research was conducted at SDN Kotasari involving 22 students in class IV-A, with 10 students participating in a limited trial. The type of research referred to the Borg and Gall model modified by Sugiyono. This model consisted of six stages, namely problem analysis, data collection, product design, design validation, design revision, and product trial. The instruments used were questionnaires for media validation by lecturers and student questionnaire sheets. Based on the data analysis, several findings were obtained, including that the quality of the bilingual picture book was categorized as very feasible with a percentage of 86% according to two media experts, very feasible with a percentage of 82.5% according to two linguists, and 91.5% according to two material experts. Furthermore, the percentage of students’ responses was 89% with a very good category. Thus, it was concluded that the bilingual picture book media could be used in learning literary appreciation at grade IV of elementary school.

Abstract

Learning English as a foreign language plays a crucial role in supporting students’ academic development and global communication skills. However, many junior high school students still face low motivation in learning English, which hinders their ability to achieve optimal learning outcomes. Previous studies have shown that innovative media such as pop-up books can improve students’ engagement, yet research focusing on their effectiveness in motivating students in rural schools remains limited. This study aims to investigate the effectiveness of using pop-up books on students’ motivation in learning English at the seventh grade of SMP N 6 Bathin Solapan. This study was quantitative with survey research design. Measurement of the effectiveness of the using Pop-Up book on students’ motivation in learning English subject is calculated through correlation analysis, hypothesis testing and effective testing. The findings revealed that the using Pop-Up book on students’ motivation in learning English subject at seventh grade of SMP N 6 Bathin Solapan is effective. In conclusion, the use of pop-up books is proven to be effective in enhancing students’ motivation in learning English. The study suggests that English teachers, particularly in junior high schools, should consider integrating pop-up books and similar interactive media as alternative teaching strategies to foster a more motivating and engaging learning environment.

Abstract

Bloating in infants can also accompany other digestive disorders, such as vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain, and constipation. Babies with gas often vomit easily. Babies with diarrhea will have low potassium levels, resulting in bloating. One benefit of infant massage is addressing complaints of bloating and colic in infants. Tummy massage is a gentle abdominal massage designed to encourage trapped air to move. The goal is to move gas and other materials from the intestines to the large intestine. The method used was preparation through coordination with midwives and cadres in Selokerto Village, Sempor District, Kebumen Regency. The activity was implemented through lectures and tummy massage simulations. While evaluation and follow-up plans for the activity were carried out by evaluating the knowledge of mothers of toddlers and can be implemented independently using leaflets distributed to mothers of toddlers. The number of respondents in this activity was 10 mothers of toddlers. The activity went smoothly, all mothers enthusiastically participated in the activity. Respondents were aged between 20-34 years. The level of knowledge of respondents before the activity was that most had sufficient knowledge about bloating/colic in toddlers and tummy massage. Meanwhile, after the knowledge activity, most responded well. Conclusion: The community service activity was effective in increasing respondents' knowledge about gas/colic in toddlers and tummy massage.

Abstract

Tradisi kenduren dan tumpeng merupakan praktik budaya Jawa yang masih lestari, namun sering diperdebatkan dalam perspektif keislaman karena dianggap berkaitan dengan unsur lokalitas, simbolisme spiritual, dan proses akulturasi yang belum dipahami secara utuh. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis makna filosofis kenduren dan tumpeng berdasarkan tinjauan Islam melalui pendekatan studi literatur yang menghimpun sumber primer dan mutakhir mengenai budaya Jawa, antropologi Islam, serta kajian integrasi agama dan tradisi. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa kenduren berfungsi sebagai media doa kolektif, solidaritas sosial, serta wujud syukur kepada Allah, sedangkan tumpeng secara simbolik menggambarkan tauhid, kesadaran ketuhanan, dan etika hidup yang selaras dengan nilai Islam. Analisis juga memperlihatkan bahwa praktik ini dapat dikategorikan sebagai bentuk ‘urf yang tidak bertentangan dengan syariat selama tidak memuat keyakinan kemusyrikan. Kesimpulan penelitian menegaskan bahwa filosofi kenduren dan tumpeng kompatibel dengan ajaran Islam dalam konteks budaya, dan implikasinya menunjukkan perlunya literasi budaya-agama yang komprehensif agar masyarakat mampu memaknai tradisi secara moderat serta mencegah praktik keagamaan yang menyimpang.

Abstract

Krisis identitas dan kebingungan peran merupakan tantangan signifikan yang dihadapi remaja dalam proses pembentukan kepribadian. Perkembangan teknologi dan media sosial menciptakan tekanan tambahan terhadap proses integrasi aspek biologis, psikologis, dan sosial yang menjadi dasar pembentukan jati diri. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis integrasi aspek bio-psiko-sosial dalam konteks perkembangan identitas remaja era digital berdasarkan teori perkembangan psikososial Erik Erikson. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan kajian literatur, penelitian ini mengeksplorasi bagaimana faktor biologis, seperti perubahan hormonal dan perkembangan otak, mempengaruhi perilaku dan emosi remaja. Selain itu, aspek psikologis, termasuk pengalaman masa lalu dan dukungan emosional, serta faktor sosial, seperti interaksi dengan keluarga dan teman, juga dianalisis untuk memahami peran mereka dalam pembentukan identitas. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa dukungan sosial yang positif dan pemahaman yang baik tentang perubahan biologis dan psikologis dapat membantu remaja era digital mengatasi krisis identitas dan mengurangi kebingungan peran. Temuan ini menekankan pentingnya pendekatan holistik dalam mendukung perkembangan remaja, serta implikasi bagi orang tua, pendidik, dan profesional kesehatan mental dalam memberikan bimbingan yang tepat selama fase kritis ini. Dengan demikian, artikel ini berkontribusi pada pemahaman yang lebih dalam tentang dinamika krisis identitas dan kebingungan peran dalam konteks perkembangan remaja.

Abstract

In everyday Muslim devotional life, it is not uncommon for an individual who has already performed an obligatory (farḍ) prayer—either privately or elsewhere—to arrive at a mosque where congregational prayer (ṣalāt al-jamāʿah) is being established. This situation raises a recurring jurisprudential question: should the individual repeat the obligatory prayer with the congregation, and what is the legal status (ḥukm) of such repetition (iʿādah)? This article aims to conceptualize the practice of repeating an obligatory prayer upon encountering a congregation and to examine the legal rulings and juristic reasoning surrounding it across the major Sunni schools of law. The study employs a qualitative, library-based methodology using a normative juridical approach, drawing on classical and contemporary works of fiqh, uṣūl al-fiqh, and ḥadīth. A comparative analysis is conducted of the positions held by the Ḥanafī, Mālikī, Shāfiʿī, and Ḥanbalī schools. The findings reveal that repeating an obligatory prayer with a congregation after having already fulfilled it—either individually or in another congregation—is generally regarded as a recommended (mandūb or sunnah) act rather than a renewed obligation. The repeated prayer is typically classified as supererogatory (nāfilah) or confirmatory in nature, intended to attain the additional merit of congregational worship, while the initial prayer remains the one that fulfills the legal obligation. Nevertheless, juristic disagreement persists regarding specific details, including the permissibility of repeating certain prayers such as ʿAṣr and Maghrib, as well as the ruling on repetition for those who have already prayed in congregation. By clarifying these differences and their evidentiary bases, this study provides a clearer jurisprudential framework for contemporary mosque communities and fiqh educators in addressing the practice of iʿādah of obligatory prayer.
