Abstract

The aims of the research are (1) to product content quantity PISA-like problems which validity and practicality, and (2) to know the potential effect of the content quantity mathematical PISA-like problems for mathematic literacy ability. The subjects of the research are student SMP AR-RAIHAN Bandar Lampung. The research method used is development research which consist of two stages, they are preliminary and prototyping. In the preliminary stage have been done analysis for research subject, curricula, analysis for content and manufacture of instruments. Meanwhile, in prototyping stage used formative evaluation which includes : self evaluation, one-to-one,expert review, small group, and field test. The data collection techniques used in the research were walk through (expert review stage) for knowing the validity of the content, construct, and language. Analysis one-to-one stage, small group stage, and quetionaire (small group stage)  for knowing the practicality; test results, quetionaire, and interview (field test stage) for knowing potential effect. Based on the data analysis of research, it can be concluded that:  1) this research produced 4 items of content quantity PISA like mathematical problems which are valid and practice.The problems declared valid based on comments about content, construct, and language by experts and  analysis in validity criteria; otherwise practical based on the student argumentation such as the problems can be understood by student and can be implementation properly; and 2) Of  content  quantity PISA like mathematical problems has potential effect on student. Based test result and questionnaire all based mathematical ability (KDM)  be used student for answer questions.

Abstract

This study was conducted to produce the learning trajectories in volume of cubes and cuboids  involving spatial visualization ability eight grade . In this study involving eighth grade students of SMP YPI Tunas Bangsa Palembang academic year 2014 - 2015. The method used in this study is the type of research design validation studies that consists of three stages: preliminary, design experiments, and retrospective analysis. A series of learning instruments designed and developed based on allegations of learning and using PMRI approach. In this paper will discuss the pilot experiment phase. Activities carried out starting from the activities see the packaging to improve spatial visualization ability of students, conduct experiments to enter rubik and resolve problems related to daily life - today. The results showed that the activities of the learning process through a series of activities based on the experience has helped improve students understanding of the concept the volume of cubes and cuboids.

Abstract

This research is aimed to describe students’ problem solving skill in mathematics learning using abductive-deductive strategy. This research is descriptive research with 30 students of X.3 class at SMAN 1 Indralaya Utara as the subject. Learning process accords to characteristic and steps of abductive-deductive strategy in mathematics learning. The technique for collecting data is a test which includes of three problems. According to the results of research, it is obtained that representation of students’ problem solving skill in mathematics learning using abductive-deductive strategy on X.3 class at SMAN 1 Indralaya Utara is medium with these details: 2 students have very high problem solving skill or the percentage is 6,67%, 12 students have high problem solving skill or the percentage is 40%, 11 students have medium problem solving skill or the percentage 36,67%, and 5 students have low problem solving skill or the percentage is 16,67% and 0% or nothing who have problem solving skill with category very low. Furthermore, the understanding problem indicator has the highest percentage at 89,63%. Indicator of making a plan has the percentage at 63,7%, indicator of carrying out the plan has the percentage at 45,56%, and the looking back indicator has the lowest percentage at 16,11%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kajian pendidikan matematika yang berhubungan dengan etnomatematika pada rumah adat ogan Komering Ulu di Provinsi Sumatera Selatan. Seperti halnya dengan kota-kota besar di Indonesia yang mempunyai budaya beragam, Ogan Komering Ulu mempunyai ragam kekayaan sejarah dan budaya yang sangat menakjubkan. Salah satu peninggalan tersebut adalah arsitektur tradisional rumah ogan komering ulu. Beberapa rumah tradisional tersebut telah berumur lebih dari 50 tahun serta menyimpan nilai sejarah, budaya dan arsitektur yang belum sepenuhnya terungkap dengan jelas. Rumah ogan komering ulu mempunyai bangunan tipe spesifik yaitu limas, kemudian ada beberapa motif hiasan rumah atau ukiran yang berbentuk geometri. Kata kunci: etnomatematika, rumah adat, geometri.   ABSTRACT This is a literature study of mathematics education related to ethnomatematics in traditional house of Komering Ulu in southern sumatera province. Like the other big cities in indonesia that have diverse culture, Ogan Komering Ulu also has an incredible variety of historical and cultural riches. One such relic is the traditional architecture of the house ogan komering ulu. Some of the traditional houses are over 50 years old and store historical, cultural and architectural values that have not been fully revealed. Rumah ogan komering ulu has a specific type of building that is pyramid, then there are some motifs of home decoration or engraving in the form of geometry. Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif yang bertujuan untuk memperoleh deskripsi mengenai self-esteem siswa dalam pembelajaran matematika menggunakan pendekatan open-ended. Subjek dari penelitian ini yaitu siswa kelas VIII.6 SMP Negeri 2 OKU yang berjumlah 42 orang. Proses pembelajaran berlangsung sesuai dengan tahapan pembelajaran pada pendekatan open-ended. Teknik pengumpulan data yakni dengan menggunakan angket MSSE (Math-Spesific Self-esteem), lembar observasi MBCSE (Metcalfe Behavioural Checklist of Self-esteem), dan wawancara. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, self-esteem siswa dalam pembelajaran matematika menggunakan pendekatan open-ended adalah tinggi. Hal ini dilihat dari hasil perolehan angket MSSE dan lembar observasi MBCSE, yaitu dengan rincian sebagai berikut: dari data lembar observasi MBCSE persentase siswa yang memiliki self-esteem dengan kategori sangat tinggi adalah 7,1%. Selanjutnya 56% siswa dengan kategori self-esteem tinggi; 36,9% siswa dengan kategori self-esteem rendah. Sementara, berdasarkan data angket MSSE persentase siswa dengan kategori self-esteem sangat tinggi adalah 30% dan 70% siswa dengan kategori self-esteem tinggi.

Abstract

Menyelesaikan soal matematika  menggunakan konteks merupakan suatu cara yang dapat dilakukan untuk membantu menggunakan kemampuan matematikanya dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Selain itu soal dengan menggunakan konteks akan mempermudah siswa dalam mensituasikan matematika kedalam konteks sehingga akan membantu siswa dalam menggunakan kemampuan literasi dalam menjawab soal, dan dapat menantang pola berpikir matematis siswa. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah Menghasilkan soal matematika model PISA menggunakan konteks Lampung yang valid dan praktis. Metode penelitian ini merupakan design research tipe development study. (Plomp, T., & Nieveen, N, 2007). Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IX SMP AR-RAIHAN Bandar Lampung  dan SMP YADIKA Natar Lampung Selatan yang berumur maksimal 15 tahun. Dalam penelitian ini menghasilkan 15 butir soal PISA menggunakan konteks Lampung yang valid dan praktis serta mempunyai efek potensial terhadap kemampuan literasi matematika siswa.Solve a math problem using a context is a way that can be done by student to help them use their mathematics skills in everyday life. In addition problem using context will facilitate students in modeling the mathematics in context, so that will help the student to use their literacy skills in answering problem, and can challenge students' mathematical thinking patterns. The purpose of this study was to Generate PISA math models using context Lampung valid and practical. This research method is a type of research design development study. Subjects in this study were students of class IX SMP Ar-raihan Bandar Lampung and SMP YadikaNatar Lampung which has aged up to 15 years. The result of this study was 15 items PISA uses Lampung context of a valid and practical and have a potential effect on students' mathematical literacy skills.

Abstract

This study produces a learning trajectory in transformation geometry, specifically on reflection using a game called “bom-boman”. This study using PMRI, the Indonesian version of realistic mathematics education. Subjects of this study are 36 seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 24 Palembang. This study using a design research approach with conducted in three stages: preliminary design, the design experiment (pilot experiment & teaching experiment), and retrospective analysis. Data were collected by observations, interviewing the student, collecting student worksheet, and documentation of classroom event and group works. Hypothetical Learning Trajectory (HLT) has been designed then compared to Actual Learning Trajectory (ALT) during the learning process. Retrospective analysis shows that student’s learning trajectories using the game help students to understand transformation geometry in reflection.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkapkan etnomatematika di Jambi Kota Seberang. Penelitian ini menggunakan etnografi dan hasil observasi sebagai sumber data. Masyarakat menggunakan konsep matematika yang lebih detail pada bangunan Gentala Arasy. Bangunan ini merepresentasikan berbagai macam bentuk geometri. Bagian bawah berbentuk balok, bagian tengah berbentuk prisma segi delapan, bagian atas berbentuk silinder dan puncaknya berbentuk separuh elipsoida. Gentala Arasy dapat dijadikan sebagai referensi untuk sumber belajar dalam pembelajaran matematika di Sekolah. Kata Kunci: Etnomatematika, Budaya Masyarakat Jambi Kota Seberang ABSTRACT This study aims to explore ethnomathematics in Jambi Kota Seberang. This study used ethnograph and observation result as data resource. Jambinese built Gentala Arasy which represent various geometry objects. The bottom part is a cuboid, the middle part is an octagonal prism, the upper part is a cylinder, and the highest part is a semi ellipsoide. It is recommended to use Gentala Arasy as reference to learn mathematics. Keywords: Ethnomathematics, Jambi Kota Seberang culture.

Abstract

Multimedia interaktif pada dasarnya memiliki unsur media gambar, audio, video, dan animasi yang dapat mendukung gaya belajar peserta didik. Penelitian ini mengembangkan multimedia interaktif untuk materi luas dan keliling jajargenjang berbasis PMRI di kelas VII Sekolah Menengah Pertama guna mendorong peserta didik dapat menemukan konsep matematika. Penelitian dilaksanakan di SMPN 10 Palembang dengan menggunakan metode penelitian yaitu model pengembangan Alessi dan Trollip. Uji alpha dilakukan untuk menguji validitas multimedia interaktif,  menurut penilaian tiga ahli yaitu ahli media, ahli materi dan ahli desain, multimedia interaktif materi luas dan keliling jajargenjang berbasis PMRI ini dinyatakan valid dan layak diujicobakan. Pada tahap uji beta, berdasarkan hasil angket dari peserta didik bahwa kepraktisan multimedia interaktif berbasis PMRI sangat tinggi. Demikian juga untuk efek potensialnya yang terlihat dari hasil uji coba lapangan yang menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan konteks kaca pada gedung dapat merangsang peserta didik mengembangkan pengetahuan mereka tentang konsep luas dan keliling jajargenjang. Semua strategi  yang mereka temukan, didiskusikan sehingga akhirnya menunjukkan hasil kontribusinya untuk selanjutnya digunakan untuk membantu peserta didik dalam menemukan konsep luas dan keliling jajargenjang.In principle interactive multimedia consist of picture, audio, video and animation who able to support thestudent in learning. This research develop interactive multimedia area and perimeter of paralellogram PMRI based at level VII Junior High School aim to encourage student find the mathematic concept. Research conducted at SMPN 10 Palembang using development model Alessi and Trollip. Alpha test was conducted to examine the validity of interactive multimedia, based on reviews from the three professionals expert of media, material and design, interactive multimedia area and perimeter of paralellogram PMRI based are valid and feasible to be tested. On Beta test stage, based on questionnare of students simplicity of interactive multimedia PMRI based is high. Effect potential present of the field test result that shown utilization of context of glass building able to stimulate students developing knowledge of area and perimeter of paralellogram. Find all strategies, discussion, then result is contribute to helping students to find the concept of area and perimeter of paralellogram.
