Abstract

The highest content in rice husk is ash with its main component of silica. Silica in ash causes the low adsorption capacity. Activated carbon from rice husk can be obtained by lowering the ash content. The aim of this study is determine the effect of particle size of charcoal and reflux time the ash content using a solution of potassium carbonate. The activation of rice husk char was carried out by using reflux methods with a potassium carbonate solution. The resulted carbon was washed using hydrochloric acid tested using iodine and methylene blue to examine of its adsorbance. The particle size of rice husk and reflux time decrease ash content in rice husk. In general, husk with the size of 80 mesh can produce carbon with low ash content and high absorption using reflux time at least for 120 minutes. Rice husk size of 100 mesh refluxing with potassium carbonate for 150 minutes can reduce the ash content as 91.85% and adsorptivity of the iodine at 331 mg.g -1 .

Abstract

This research is part of a series of research and development to improve the mastery learning model of prospective elementary school teachers in science and pembelajarannya.Model learning concepts developed in this research is the learning model that integrates two different courses are semester courses the concept of science and science education. Scenario learning is done in four phases, namely: (1). Modeling phase, (2) phase of discussion, (3). Enrichment phase, and (4) peer learning phase. The study was conducted on students of teacher candidates in two PGSD who take shelter in the Indonesian Education University of PGSD X sekota with the University and PGSD Y berdomosili in other cities within the same province.Subjects consisted of 25 students in PGSD X prospective teachers and 26 student teacher candidates at PGSD Y. The material consists of three pairs of research topics Magnet-Process Skills Science, Electrical-assessment in learning science and food-Thematic Learning. The research instrument used in the form of multiple choice tests and Description. Analysis of data using <g> dinormalisir gain from Hake. Research shows <g> PGSD X student teacher candidates related to science process skills and assessment including the classification was 0.57 ± 0.10 and high classification in thematic learning that is equal to 0.70 ± 0.14, whereas <g> student-teacher candidates PGSD Y including the classification is to Skills Assessment Process science and is equal to 0.68 ± 0.07, and medium for learning thematic classification that is equal to 0.53 ± 0.20. From <g> acquisition can be concluded that student teacher candidates PGSD PGSD Y better than X in Science Process Skills - Assessment, but lower in the Thematic learning.   Key words: learning model, prospective teachers, science process skills, assessment, thematic.

Abstract

A system of electrolyte conductivity measurement has been designed and realized using microcontroller AT89C51. The system run at the frequency 2.5 Mhz. The adventage of the system is conductivity sensor placed outside the sample liquid. The input of system is NaCl concentration  and the output is conductivity value. The hardware of this system is built by a conductivity sensor, oscillator      XR-2206, a frequency synthesizer IC CMOS 4046, an operational amplifier LM358, an analog to digital converter ADC 0804, a liquid crystal display Seiko M1632, and a microcontroller AT89C51. To control this electrolyte liquid conductivity measurement was used macro assembler machine language. The results of the experiment show that the test of variable oscillator function has linear regression equation Y = 0.56 X + 1.96, amplification of LM358 amplifier test is 3.39 and has linear regression equation Y = 3.28 X + 0.05, ADC0804 conversion function has linear regression equation Y = 51.29 X + 9.97. The test of measurement system was sown that instrument able to measure NaCl conductivity from 0.2 M until  2.0 M with linear regression equation  Y =  67,63x + 6,37.

Abstract

ABSTRACT---A  gravity  anomalies  modeling  program    has  been  made  with  the  approximation  of  cylinder shaped body  for  the case of  N anomalous bodies. This program  is named DRAVECT version 1.1. The modeling program was executed by Microsoft Visual Basic   6.0   programming language. The program was made by identifying gravity problems. Input and output data that be identified from gravity parameters, dimension and position parameters of anomalous bodies. The gravity   anomalies were calculated by  inserting synthetic data  to the  modeling  program.  The  anomaly  profiles  3  D  were  displayed  automatically,  and  the  profiles  of  gravity anomalies 2 D were made respectively. Validation test had been done by compare program result with reference. Based  on  the  graphical  qualitative  interpretation  of  gravity    anomaly  profiles  as  the  result  of  the  conducted modeling, it was obtained the characteristics of gravity anomaly of cylinder shaped body. Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the various local wisdom and describe the diverse character education, which contain in local wisdom in the Sundanese society of Choblong, Cisarua village located in Bogor, West Java, Indonesia. Observation method is the best way to collect information and understand local culture in a society. The local wisdom of these Choblong villagers is believed to have a useful contribution to the values of character education that must always be taught and preserved for the benefit of subsequent regeneration. The local wisdom of the Choblong village can be penetrated to school curriculum for preparing their next generations and the cultural preservation. Although there are many adjustments required when immersion between local culture and school curriculum, but it is possible if the applications of carefully selected local culture are given in their local environmental settings.

Abstract

The largest kenaf culture in Indonesia is in Laren, Lamongan. Kenaf plants are suitable to be planted in the Bonorowo field. The less potential land conditions make the cultivation of kenaf plants must use chemicals. The use of chemicals has the potential to harm the environment. The approach to identifying and analyzing environmental impacts is the Life Cycle Assessment (LCA). LCA is one method to find out the life cycle of agriculture. LCA stages are Goal and Scope Definition, Life Cycle Inventory, Life Cycle Impact Assessment, and Interpretation. Environmental impact measurement is based on fifteen categories grouped into four categories. LCA processing results show the use of urea fertilizer has the most significant negative impact on the environment. The biggest impact category due to the use of urea fertilizer is aquatic ecotoxicity. The use of urea fertilizer affects the types of resources, climate change, ecosystem quality, and human health. Of the four groups, which have the highest value, are the resource group. The use of urea fertilizer has the most significant role in the success of kenaf cultivation because kenaf cultivation requires more N elements to improve the quality of kenaf stems. The use of organic fertilizer can be an option to reduce the use of urea fertilizer.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to analyze the influence of White Skin Fruit Mask to overcome dry skin based on indicator of moisture and brightness of facial skin. This research is an experimental research with quai experimental method using 9 samples for 3 treatment groups, 3 people in control group (X1), 3 experimental groups (X2), 3 experimental groups (X3), used in this study are primary data, data analysis teachnique using Analysis of Variancw (ANOVA), before doing Hypothesis test firstly test Normality and Homogeneity tes, then test Anova. Results of variance analysis. Based on the results of the date, proving that dry facial skin care without the use of white skin care mask of the watermelon fruit in the control group did not show a better result change, for the 1x3 day experimental group there were significant change as well as the 1x7 day treatment group. Hypotesis test Normality and Anova. Results of variance analysis. Based on the result of the data, proving that dry facial skin care without the use of white skin mask of the watermelon fruit in the control group did not show a better result change, for the 1x3 day experimental group. Hypothesis accepted for 0.000<0.050 and then continued with DUNCAN Test which showed significantly different groups besed on the results of the study proved white skin mask Watermelon Fruit as Dry Skin Care Treatment Mask with the best usage frequency of 1x3 days. Keywords : Watermelon Mask, Dry Skin
