Abstract

Mathematics education in elementary schools (SD) plays a crucial role in developing students' cognitive abilities, critical thinking, and numeracy literacy. However, various reports indicate that Indonesian students' mathematics learning outcomes remain relatively low, including findings from the Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA) 2023, which placed the majority of students at a low level of numeracy literacy. This condition indicates the need for learning innovations that align with the spirit of the Independent Curriculum. This article aims to map the implementation trends and effectiveness of four mathematics learning approaches in elementary schools during the 2020–2025 period: Realistic Mathematics Learning (PMR), Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT), differentiated learning, and deep learning. This study uses the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method with PRISMA guidelines through article searches on Google Scholar and analyzed descriptively qualitatively. The results of the study indicate that all four approaches contribute positively to improving learning outcomes, student engagement, and critical and creative thinking skills. Although no approach is absolutely superior, integration between approaches has the potential to produce more contextual, adaptive, and sustainable mathematics learning in elementary schools.

Abstract

Pencemaran air akibat limbah zat warna seperti methylene blue (MB) merupakan masalah lingkungan yang serius di Indonesia. MB banyak digunakan dalam industri tekstil, kosmetik, dan farmasi, dapat menurunkan kualitas air serta menimbulkan dampak negatif terhadap kesehatan manusia dan ekosistem. Fotokatalisis berbasis ZnO merupakan metode yang menjanjikan untuk mendekontaminasi air, namun keterbatasan penyerapan cahaya mengurangi efektivitasnya. Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi sintesis hijau ZnO menggunakan ekstrak nanas melalui metode presipitasi, dengan tujuan meningkatkan karakteristik dan aktivitas fotokatalitik. Selain itu, ZnO dikombinasikan dengan karbon aktif (KA) dari sekam padi dengan metode impregnasi untuk meningkatkan kinerjanya. Karakterisasi fotokatalis dilakukan menggunakan XRD, FTIR, dan BET untuk mengevaluasi sifat kristalinitas, gugus fungsi, dan luas permukaan material. Hasil XRD menunjukkan ZnO memiliki struktur wurtzit heksagonal dengan ukuran kristal 27,01 nm, sedangkan ZnO/KA memiliki ukuran 20,24 nm dengan struktur wurtzit heksagonal untuk ZnO dan struktur grafit untuk karbon. Hasil FTIR mengonfirmasi keberadaan ikatan Zn–O, C–H, dan O–H, sedangkan hasil BET menunjukkan bahwa ZnO/KA memiliki kurva distribusi pori tipe II dengan pori makro. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penambahan karbon aktif secara signifikan meningkatkan efisiensi fotodegradasi MB pada berbagai pH, dengan ZnO/karbon aktif (3:1) (b/b) mencapai kinerja tertinggi, mengurangi kadar MB hingga 99,81% pada pH 8.Degradation Efficiency of Methylene Blue Using Green-Synthesized ZnO Photocatalyst with Pineapple Extract and Rice Husk-Derived Activated Carbon. Water pollution caused by dye waste, such as methylene blue (MB), is a serious environmental issue in Indonesia. Widely used in the textile, cosmetic, and pharmaceutical industries, can degrade water quality and negatively impact human health and ecosystems. ZnO based photocatalysis is a promising method for water decontamination, but its limited light absorption reduces efficiency. This study explores the green synthesis of ZnO using pineapple extract via precipitation method to enhance its characteristics and photocatalytic activity. Additionally, ZnO was combined with activated carbon (AC) derived from rice husks through an impregnation to improve performance further. XRD, FTIR, and BET characterization confirmed the crystallinity, functional groups, and surface area properties. XRD analysis showed a hexagonal wurtzite structure for ZnO with a crystal size of 27.01 nm, while ZnO/AC had a size of 20.24 nm with both wurtzite and graphite structures. FTIR results verified Zn–O, C–H, and O–H bonds, and BET analysis indicated a type II macroporous distribution. Photodegradation tests revealed that ZnO/AC (3:1) (w/w) achieved the highest efficiency, reducing MB concentration by 99.81% at pH 8. These findings demonstrate that activated carbon significantly enhances the photocatalytic performance of ZnO, offering a sustainable approach for dye wastewater treatment.

Abstract

Teachers need to strive for innovation in creating new media so that the learning of Natural Sciences becomes easier for students. The purpose of this research is to describe the characteristics, validity, and effectiveness of SIRAJA in enhancing critical thinking skills. This research is a type of developmental research. The researcher used various methods to collect data, including interviews, questionnaires, observations, documentation, and tests. The researcher used a one-group pretest-posttest experimental design. The data obtained was then tested for effectiveness, normality, and the increase in critical thinking scores from the pretest and posttest based on the Hake gain. Meanwhile, the responses from the student and teacher questionnaires were evaluated using a Likert scale. The analysis of the learning outcomes of the respondents, who were the subjects of the study, showed that the pretest score of 59 increased to 77 on the posttest. The percentage of learning mastery also significantly increased, from 20% on the pretest to 85% on the posttest. The normality test used was the one-sample Shapiro-Wilk test, which found an asymptotic significance value of 0.388 for the pretest and 0.616 for the posttest, exceeding the significance level of 0.05. Therefore, the researcher concluded that the utilization of SIRAJA positively impacts the critical thinking of fifth-grade students.

Abstract

Kemampuan menulis naratif menjadi indikator penting dalam penguasaan literasi di sekolah dasar, khususnya dalam mengembangkan daya pikir dan ekspresi murid. Namun, pada praktik pembelajaran, murid kelas tinggi masih menghadapi kendala dalam menggali gagasan, menyusun alur cerita secara runtut, serta memanfaatkan kosakata secara beragam. Meskipun sejumlah studi telah mengimplementasikan berbagai model pembelajaran kreatif, belum ditemukan kajian sintesis yang secara khusus mengulas efektivitas model sinektik dalam konteks pembelajaran menulis narasi di sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menyajikan analisis komprehensif melalui pendekatan Systematic Literature Review (SLR) terhadap 21 artikel ilmiah terbitan tahun 2021–2026. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa sekitar 85% studi melaporkan adanya peningkatan signifikan dalam kualitas tulisan narasi, terutama pada aspek pengembangan ide, keterpaduan alur, dan kreativitas. Selain itu, sebagian besar temuan juga mengindikasikan peningkatan keterlibatan serta motivasi belajar murid. Penggunaan analogi dan metafora dalam model sinektik terbukti berperan dalam memperluas imajinasi dan memperkaya pilihan kata. Dengan demikian, model sinektik dapat dipertimbangkan sebagai strategi pembelajaran yang efektif untuk mendukung peningkatan keterampilan menulis naratif secara optimal.

Abstract

Meskipun model instruksional literasi terus berkembang, terdapat celah penelitian (research gap) terkait bagaimana variabel psikologis seperti growth mindset dapat diintegrasikan secara sistematis dengan model C-MIND untuk mengatasi rendahnya kemampuan abstraksi murid dalam memproses teks multimodal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis integrasi tersebut melalui metode Systematic Literature Review (SLR). Mengikuti protokol PRISMA, seleksi dilakukan terhadap artikel jurnal (2021-2026) dengan kriteria inklusi: fokus pada pendidikan dasar, membahas elemen C-MIND, dan memuat intervensi pola pikir. Dari 345 rekod awal, terpilih 75 artikel inti yang dianalisis secara kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa integrasi growth mindset bertindak sebagai katalisator kognitif yang memicu efikasi diri murid saat menghadapi teks visual kompleks. Kebaruan (novelty) penelitian ini terletak pada sintesis model C-MIND yang memfasilitasi deep learning melalui coaching reflektif, yang terbukti mentransformasi literasi memirsa menjadi proses berpikir kritis yang terukur. Temuan ini memberikan kerangka kerja bagi pendidik untuk menyelaraskan aspek afektif dan pedagogis secara holistik guna menghadapi tantangan asesmen literasi di tingkat sekolah dasar.

Abstract

Model RADEC terdiri dari lima tahap, yaitu Read, Answer, Discuss, Explain, dan Create. Keterampilan menulis merupakan salah satu kompetensi berbahasa yang kompleks dan sering menjadi tantangan bagi siswa sekolah dasar. Permasalahan yang dijumpai meliputi rendahnya motivasi belajar, keterbatasan penguasaan kosakata, serta penerapan metode pembelajaran yang masih konvensional dan berpusat pada guru. Oleh karena itu, artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji implementasi model RADEC sebagai alternatif solusi meningkatkan keterampilan menulis siswa. Metode yang digunakan adalah SLR dengan alir PRISMA. Sebanyak 20 artikel dianalisis terdiri dari penelitian eksperimen, kualitatif, dan PTK. Hasil sintesis kuantitatif menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model RADEC memberikan peningkatan keterampilan menulis yang signifikan, dengan rata-rata peningkatan skor berkisar antara 18-20 poin dari pretest ke posttest. Beberapa studi bahkan melaporkan peningkatan ketuntasan belajar klasikal dari kisaran 40% menjadi lebih dari 90% setelah penerapan model ini. Novelty (kebaruan) penelitian ini terletak pada penyajian sintesis kuantitatif lintas studi yang secara eksplisit mengukur besaran peningkatan keterampilan menulis siswa, bukan hanya deskripsi efektivitas model. Selain itu, penelitian ini mengintegrasikan berbagai jenis desain penelitian (PTK dan eksperimen) dalam satu kerangka analisis PRISMA, sehingga menghasilkan gambaran komprehensif mengenai konsistensi dampak model RADEC pada berbagai jenis teks tulisan di sekolah dasar.

Abstract

The rapid integration of digital tools in primary education necessitates a robust pedagogical framework to optimize student engagement. This study aims to systematically review the impact of Canva-based learning media combined with the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model on the learning outcomes of elementary school students. Using a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach, 25 high-quality national and international journals were analyzed based on thematic relevance and methodological rigor. The findings indicate that Canva catalyzes visual literacy and student interaction, while the PjBL model fosters a constructive environment for the development of critical and creative skills. The synergy between these two components significantly enhances cognitive outcomes and 21st-century skills, including collaboration and problem-solving. This research contributes to the discourse on digital pedagogy by highlighting how visual-centric tools can bridge the gap between abstract concepts and project execution in early childhood education. Practically, this study provides a strategic framework for elementary teachers to design technology-integrated curricula that are both interactive and goal-oriented. Ultimately, the integration of Canva and PjBL offers a transformative strategy to elevate the quality of digital-based learning in elementary settings.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of information technology has accelerated innovation in learning media, particularly in elementary science education where developing higher-order thinking is critical. This PRISMA-guided systematic literature review examines the effectiveness of Android-based learning media in enhancing elementary students’ critical thinking. Twenty-five peer-reviewed articles published between 2020 and 2025 were selected from Google Scholar, SINTA, and Scopus. Included studies comprised quantitative, qualitative, and mixed methods designs and were appraised for quality. Findings show that Android-based media, including educational games, interactive multimedia, augmented reality applications, and e-modules generally improve engagement and learning outcomes. However, only about one third of the studies explicitly measured critical thinking indicators such as analysis, evaluation, and problem solving, revealing a persistent gap between technological innovation and cognitive assessment. The review highlights pedagogical integration, offline access, and teacher readiness as key factors. Overall, Android-based media present a flexible, accessible option for 21st-century elementary science education with implications for instructional design, policy, and future research.

Abstract

Low science literacy is one of the challenges in education in Indonesia. Various learning innovations are one of the efforts to increase students' interest and science literacy. This study aims to systematically review trends, approaches, and innovations in technology-based and contextual science learning in improving students' science literacy. The method used was a systematic literature review of 26 selected articles from various databases, which were selected using specific inclusion and exclusion criteria. The results of the analysis show that the trend of publications has been increasing since 2023 with various innovations in science literacy learning. The most widely used learning approaches include technology-based learning, outdoor learning, science experiments, social science issues, and local culture or ethnoscience. The learning innovations that have been developed include science curricula, VR media, interactive video media, E-LKPD, and so on. The conclusion of this study confirms that science literacy can be improved through various learning innovations to increase students' interest and motivation in learning science. Technology-based and contextual science learning has proven to be a strategic response to the challenge of low science literacy.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the development of Canva-assisted interactive learning media in elementary school mathematics through a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach. The review was conducted on 10 selected articles published between 2021 and 2026. The articles were selected based on the following criteria: relevance to elementary school mathematics learning, discussion of Canva-assisted media, open-access availability, and valid DOI registration. The article search and selection process followed the PRISMA 2020 guidelines. The data were analyzed descriptively by examining the development models, media formats, mathematics topics, as well as the validity and practicality of the developed media. The findings indicate that Canva-based media were developed in various forms, including digital storybooks, student worksheets, interactive quizzes, e-booklets, and other digital learning media. The topics addressed included data processing, simple fractions, geometry, solid figures, and numbers. In general, all studies reported that the developed media fell into the valid to highly valid category and were practical for use by both teachers and students. These findings confirm that Canva functions not only as a design tool but also as a pedagogical medium with the potential to help students understand mathematical concepts in a more concrete, engaging, and meaningful way.
