Abstract

Background: One of the most common degenerative diseases among the elderly is hypertension. Headaches are one of the symptoms of hypertension; if not addressed promptly, headaches in hypertensive patients can lead to sleep disturbances, anxiety, emotional instability, and ultimately affect the patient's quality of life. One non-pharmacological management that can be employed to address headaches is guided imagery therapy with instrumental music. The aim of this study is to analyze the effect of guided imagery therapy with instrumental music on the level of headaches in elderly hypertensive patients in Dusun Krajan, Desa Bektiharjo, Semanding. Method: The research design in this study is a quantitative pre-experimental using the one group pre-test post-test design method. The population in this study consists of elderly hypertensive patients experiencing headaches, totaling 25 elderly individuals, with a sample selected through purposive sampling technique, resulting in a sample of 23 elderly individuals. Result: The results of the conducted research showed that elderly individuals with mild headache levels after undergoing therapy for 3 consecutive days exhibited a decrease in pain levels. After being analyzed using the Wilcoxon test with a significance level of α=<0.05, with a p-value of 0.000<0.05, the result obtained was an Asymp sig (2-tailed) value of 0.000. Conclusion : It can be concluded that H1 is accepted, which means that guided imagery therapy with instrumental music has an effect on the level of headache in elderly hypertensive patients in Dusun Krajan, Desa Bektiharjo, Semanding. The guided imagery technique is a method that helps achieve deep relaxation, creating relaxation in various ways that can control the nervous system, ultimately lowering blood pressure, thereby alleviating headaches caused by elevated blood pressure.

Abstract

The role of work discipline is crucial in enhancing employee performance, as a higher level of discipline directly impacts responsibility and work quality. This study aims to identify the factors contributing to the decline in work discipline at the Banguntapan sub-district office and to formulate improvement efforts. The research sample consisted of five employees, including the Head of Affairs and the Head of Section, who supervise staff. Data were collected through observation and interviews. Data analysis was conducted using Miles and Huberman’s interactive analysis model, which includes data collection, reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing. The result indicated that the factors causing the decline in work discipline at the Banguntapan sub-district office included punctuality, compliance with regulations, and responsibility for tasks. This study offers recommendations for improving word discipline, such as providing varied recognition, standardizing right and obligations, and enhancing facilities.

Abstract

This article examines women's trauma in the novel Perempuan di Titik Zero by Nawal El Saadawi using the Javanese psychological approach Mentaraman. A qualitative and descriptive approach was used to explore the traumatic experience of the main character, Firdaus, and analyze how she tried to face and overcome the suffering she experienced. Mentaraman's Javanese psychology, which emphasizes inner balance, mental peace, and psychological recovery, is the basis for understanding how Firdaus interacts with trauma and the search for identity in the context of Javanese tradition and culture. Through a literature review, this article discusses how Javanese psychology can provide a new perspective in understanding Firdaus' mental and emotional response to the oppression, violence and helplessness he experienced. The results of the analysis show that even though Firdaus is trapped in a state of deep trauma, Javanese psychological values ​​that focus on self-recovery and inner harmony can explain Firdaus' efforts to achieve peace in facing her past. This article provides insight into how women's trauma can be understood through the lens of Javanese psychology and the importance of mental balance in the recovery process.

Abstract

Education aims to improve the quality of individuals to become pious individuals. Therefore, providing guidance to students must not only follow psychological and sociocultural principles, but must also pay attention to the fact that students are creatures created by Allah Ta'ala. Madrasah Aliyah Islamic Center Bin Baz Yogyakarta, as an Islamic boarding school-based educational institution, applies guidance and counseling to the discipline of congregational prayer. This research aims to evaluate the implementation of guidance and counseling at the institution. The method used is field research with a descriptive qualitative approach. Research subjects included school principals, student affairs, and guidance and counseling teachers. Data collection techniques consist of interviews, observation, and documentation, while data analysis is carried out through data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The research results show that the implementation of counseling guidance begins with preventive efforts from the school, where the violation that occurs is being late in attending congregational prayers. Handling problematic students is carried out through dialogue directed at understanding religious values. The impact of counseling guidance can be seen in positive behavioral changes. Supporting factors in counseling guidance include opportunities for teachers for self-development and support provided by the school community. On the other hand, the challenges faced include a lack of understanding of the function of guidance and counseling among the school community and a lack of response to the problem of students who are late for congregational prayers.

Abstract

The low level of decision-making skills among students poses a significant challenge in elementary teacher education programs. This study aims to evaluate decision-making skills using the DECIDE model among elementary teacher education students in Indonesia. The research employed a qualitative method with a case study design. The participants consisted of 70 students selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using open-ended essay tests and non-test techniques, including participant observation and in-depth interviews. The results indicated that students' decision-making skills could be evaluated through the six stages of the DECIDE model: Define the Problem, demonstrated by the ability to define the problem and identify the main aspects requiring resolution; Establish the Criteria, reflected in the ability to establish relevant and objective criteria for evaluating potential solutions; Consider all the Alternatives, shown by the ability to assess all alternatives along with their advantages and disadvantages; Identify the Best Alternative, characterized by the ability to identify the best alternative based on the established criteria; Develop and Implement a Plan of Action, shown through the development of a structured action plan; and Evaluate and Monitor the Solution, demonstrated by continuous evaluation of the implemented solution. This study concluded that elementary teacher education students in Indonesia exhibit good decision-making skills based on the DECIDE model.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan modul analisis desain sistem informasi yang memenuhi kriteria praktis dan efektif. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian dan pengembangan (Research and Deployment (R&D)), model penelitian dan pengembangan yang digunakan adalah pengembangan 4D yang merupakan singkatan dari Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate. Penelitian pengembangan modul pembelajaran pada mata kuliah analisis desain sistem informasi berbasis case method team work based jurusan Teknik informatika dan komputer dilakukan dengan jumlah subjek uji coba 30 mahasiswa. Data diperoleh dengan teknik wawancara, dokumentasi, dan angket pengumpulan data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan modul pembelajaran pada mata kuliah analisis desain sistem informasi memperoleh rata-rata penilaian dengan kategori sangat layak dari ahli materi dan ahli media. Kedua, modul pembelajaran pada mata kuliah analisis desain sistem memperoleh rata-rata penilaian dengan kategori sangat praktis. Ketiga, modul pembelajaran pada mata kuliah analisis desain system informasi jurusan Teknik informatika dan memperoleh rata-rata penilaian dengan kategori sangat efektif.

Abstract

Child stunting is a chronic nutritional problem that can inhibit the physical and mental growth and development of children. This study was conducted in shallot farming areas due to the high use of pesticides in the area. The use of pesticides can cause several health impacts, one of which is disrupting the work of growth hormones so that one of them is stunting.  This study aims to determine the description of nutritional status and the incidence of stunting in elementary school children in agricultural areas. The method used was a descriptive observational design with a cross-sectional approach. The research was conducted at SD Dukulo 1 and SD Dukuhlo 2, with samples of grade IV and V students. Data were collected through measurement of body weight and height to assess nutritional status, as well as observation of environmental factors. The results showed that most children had normal nutritional status (82.1%), but 16% were classified as short and 1.9% as very short. Analysis of the relationship between nutritional status and the incidence of stunting revealed that undernutrition and poor nutritional status were closely related to the high incidence of stunting. A total of 18 children with poor nutritional status and 8 children with poor nutritional status were recorded as very stunted. Most of the parents' occupations are in the agricultural sector which allows children to be exposed to pesticides. Pesticides through the growth hormone pathway can cause a child's growth rate to be disrupted, so that any nutritional intake obtained if there is a disturbance in the gastrointestinal tract due to pesticide exposure will cause growth disorders. In conclusion, poor nutritional status can increase the risk of stunting in children, especially in agricultural areas exposed to pesticides. Appropriate nutritional interventions and prevention of harmful environmental exposures are needed.   ABSTRAK                 Stunting pada anak adalah masalah gizi kronis yang dapat menghambat pertumbuhan dan perkembangan fisik serta mental anak. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada daerah pertanian bawang merah dikarenakan pemakaian pestisida yang tinggi pada daerah tersebut. Pemakaian pestisida bisa mengakibatkan beberapa dampak kesehatan salah satunya adalah mengganggu kerja hormon pertumbuhan sehingga berpengarug terhadap pertumbuhan salah satunya adalah stunting.  Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran status gizi dan kejadian stunting pada anak sekolah dasar di daerah pertanian. Metode yang digunakan adalah desain observasional deskriptif dengan pendekatan cross-sectional. Lokasi penelitian dilakukan di Sd Dukulo 1 dan SD Dukuhlo 2, dengan sampel siswa kelas IV dan V. Data dikumpulkan melalui pengukuran berat badan dan tinggi badan untuk menilai status gizi, serta observasi terhadap faktor lingkungan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar anak memiliki status gizi normal (82,1%), namun 16% tergolong pendek dan 1,9% sangat pendek. Analisis hubungan antara status gizi dan kejadian stunting mengungkapkan bahwa status gizi kurang dan buruk berhubungan erat dengan tingginya kejadian stunting. Sebanyak 18 anak dengan status gizi kurang dan 8 anak dengan status gizi buruk tercatat mengalami stunting sangat pendek. Sebagian besar pekerjaan orang ua adalah pada sektor pertanian yang memungkinkan anak untuk terpaparar pestisida. Pestisida melalui jalur hormnin pertumbuhan dapat menyebabkan Tingkat pertumbuhan anak terganggu, sehingga berapapuan asupan gizi yang didapatkan jika terjadi gangguan pada saluran cerna karena paparan pestisida akan menyebabkan gangguan pertumbuhan. Kesimpulanya status gizi yang buruk dapat meningkatkan risiko stunting pada anak-anak, khususnya di daerah pertanian yang terpapar pestisida. Intervensi gizi yang tepat dan pencegahan paparan lingkungan yang berbahaya sangat dibutuhkan.

Abstract

Abstrak  – Model Problem Solving adalah model yang mengutamakan pemecahan masalah dalam kegiatan belajar untuk memperkuat daya nalar yang digunakan oleh peserta didik agar mendapatkan pemahaman yang lebih mendasar dari materi yang disampaikan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui (1) keterampilan proses sains peserta didik setelah dilatih dengan model pembelajaran Problem Solving pada materi getaran dan gelombang. (2) ketuntasan hasil belajar kognitif yang dicapai siswa setelah menerapkan model pembelajaran Problem Solving pada materi getaran dan gelombang. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pre-experimental menggunakan desain One Shot Case Study. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah kelas VIII SMP di Kota Palangkaraya Tahun Ajaran 2023/2024. Sampel penelitian ini dipilih secara random sampling, dimana kelas yang terpilih adalah kelas VIII-3 dengan jumlah 32 siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah tes keterampilan proses sains dan tes hasil belajar kognitif. Hasil uji coba tes hasil belajar kognitif dari 40 soal, diperoleh 10 soal gugur. Jadi soal THB yang digunakan adalah sebanyak 30 soal dengan reliabilitas 0,95. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa keterampilan proses sains dari 30 siswa yang mengikuti tes diperoleh 6 siswa (20%) dengan kategori sangat baik, 18 siswa (60%) dengan kategori baik dan 6 siswa (20%) dengan kategori cukup baik. Hasil belajar kognitif individu dari 30 siswa yang mengikuti tes diperoleh 23 siswa tuntas dan 7 siswa tidak tuntas. Secara klasikal ketuntasan sebesar 76,67% melebihi standar ketuntasan klasikal yaitu ≥75%. Ketuntasan TPK pada materi getaran dan gelombang dari 30 TPK diperoleh 24 (80%) TPK tuntas dan 6 (20%) TPK tidak tuntas. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran yang diterapkan dapat memfasilitasi keterampilan proses sains siswa dan mencapai hasil belajar yang ditargetkan. Abstract – The Problem Solving Model is a model that prioritizes problem solving in learning activities to strengthen the reasoning power used by students to gain a more basic understanding of the material presented. The purpose of this research is to determine (1) students' science process skills after being trained with the Problem Solving learning model on vibration and wave material. (2) the completeness of cognitive learning outcomes achieved by students after applying the Problem Solving learning model to vibration and wave material. This research is pre-experimental research using a One Shot Case Study design. The population in this study was class VIII of SMP in Palangkaraya City for the 2023/2024 academic year. The sample for this research was chosen by random sampling, where the selected class was class VIII-3 with a total of 32 students. The instruments used in this research were science process skills tests and cognitive learning outcomes tests. The results of the cognitive learning outcomes test trial of 40 questions resulted in 10 failed questions. So the THB questions used were 30 questions with a reliability of 0.95. The results of data analysis show that the science process skills of the 30 students who took the test were obtained by 6 students (20%) in the very good category, 18 students (60%) in the good category and 6 students (20%) in the quite good category. The individual cognitive learning results of the 30 students who took the test showed that 23 students completed and 7 students did not complete. Classically, the completeness level is 76.67%, exceeding the classical completeness standard, which is ≥75%. Completion of TPK on vibration and wave material from 30 TPK obtained 24 (80%) TPK complete and 6 (20%) TPK incomplete. These results shows that the implemented learning model can facilitate students’ science process skill and achieve the determined learning results.

Abstract

Model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing adalah suatu cara mengajar yang berorientasi pada keterlibatan siswa secara maksimal dalam proses kegiatan belajar, untuk mengembangkan sikap kritis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: 1) Peningkatan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa; 2) ketuntasan belajar siswa kelas VIII-A SMP Negeri 9 Palangka Raya. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pra-ekperimental dengan meggunakan desain one group pretest posttest. Populasi peelitian adalah seluruh kelas VIII semester II SMP Negeri 9 Palangka Raya yang berjumlah 8 kelas. Sampel berjumlah 1 kelas dipilih melalui teknik random sampling, dimana kelas yang terpilih adalah kelas VIII-A dengan jumlah siswa 32 orang. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah tes keterampilan berpikir kritis berupa uraian dan tes hasil belajar berupa soal pilihan ganda. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran fisika dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing dapat meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa pada materi getaran sebesar 0,74 kategori tinggi dan pada materi gelombang sebesar 0,75 dengan kategori tinggi dengan rata-rata skor total sebesar 0,74 kategori tinggi dan ketuntasan hasil belajar siswa dari 30 siswa yang mengikuti tes, diperoleh 23 siswa tuntas dan 7 tidak tuntas. Ketuntasan belajar secara klasikal tuntas karena persentase siswa yang tntas sebesar 77% sudah melampaui standar ketuntasa klasikal yang ditetapkan yaitu 75%. Ketuntasan TPK dari 31 TPKsebanyak 28 (90,32%) TPK tuntas dan 3 (10%) TPK tidak tuntas.

Abstract

Abstrak – Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) Aktivitas belajar peserta didik selama menerapkan model pembelajaran berbasis google sites pada materi pengukuran (2) Ketuntasan hasil belajar peserta didik dalam pembelajaran fisika setelah menerapkan model pembelajaran berbasis google sites pada materi pengukuran. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pre-exsperimental menggunakan desain one-shot case study. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh peserta didik kelas X SMA di kota Palangka Raya. Setelah dilakukan pemilihan secara acak, kelas yang terpilih sebagai kelas sampel adalah kelas X-10 dengan jumlah peserta didik 42 orang. Instrumen penelitian berupa lembar observasi aktivitas belajar peserta didik dan Tes Hasil Belajar kognitif. Lembar observasi aktivitas belajar peserta didik berbentuk uraian objektif sebanyak 11 butir soal mencakup 3 aktivitas belajar  peserta didik yaitu antusias peserta didik dalam mengikuti pembelajaran, respon peserta didik terhadap materi dan interaksi peserta didik dengan peserta didik. THB kognitif peserta didik berbentuk soal pilihan berganda sebanyak 38 butir soal. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh adalah (1) hasil rata-rata aktivitas belajar peserta didik kelas X-10 SMA di kota Palangka Raya tiap pertemuan secara keseluruhan sebesar 77,45% dengan kategori cukup baik. (2) ketuntasan belajar individu dari 42 peserta didik yang mengikuti tes, diperoleh 31 peserta didik tuntas dan 11 peserta didik tidak tuntas. Ketuntasan klasikal sebesar 73,8%, secara klasikal tidak tuntas. TPK yang tuntas sebanyak 31 TPK dari 38 TPK yang digunakan dengan persentase sebesar 81,57%. Hasil ini menunjukkan model pembelajaran direct instruction berbasis Google Sites dapat membantu pencapaian hasil belajar siswa, sekaligus meningkatkan aktivitas belajar mereka. Abstract – This study aims to determine: (1) Students' learning activities during the application of google sites-based learning model on measurement material (2) The completeness of students' learning outcomes in physics learning after applying google sites-based learning model on measurement material. This research is a pre-experimental research using one-shot case study design. The study population was all students of class X SMA in Palangka Raya. After random selection, the class selected as the sample class was class X-10 with 42 students. The research instruments were in the form of observation sheets of students' learning activities and cognitive tests. The observation sheet of students' learning activities is in the form of objective descriptions of 11 items covering 3 student learning activities, namely the enthusiasm of students in participating in learning, students' response to the material and students' interaction with students. THB cognitive learners in the form of multiple choice questions as many as 38 items. The results of the research obtained are (1) the average results of learning activities of students in class X-10 SMA in Palangka Raya per meeting as a whole amounted to 77.45% with a fairly good category. (2) individual learning completeness of 42 students who took the test, obtained 31 students were complete and 11 students were not complete. Classical completeness was 73.8%, classically incomplete. The completed TPKs were 31 out of 38 TPKs used with a percentage of 81.57%.
