Abstract

AbstractThis research is an utilization research that have purposes to design a learning plan that can be easily accessible for all types of mobile devices, implements mobile devices, increases the acquisition of learning algorithms and programming and overcomes obstacles through the use of mobile devices as learning media. The method used in this study is a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques that will test the use of mobile devices include: observation, interview and documentation study. The subjects of this research are the students of Saint Paul Senior High School (10th grade). To start use the mobile media by making learning plans and making prototypes, prescribing learning tasks and message design. The next step is to create a story board, then continue using the product. Based on the research results of learning media applications with mobile devices can improve the acquisition of learning algorithms and programming. The other researchers can developed this media with other material or concepts.Keywords: Mobile Devices, Learning Media, Utilization

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to obtain information and an overview of the steps in using Quizizz, student activities, and student responses regarding the use of Quizizz. The research method used is qualitative with a qualitative descriptive approach. subjects in this study were 35 students. data collection was done using observation, interviews, and questionnaires. The data analysis technique used is according to (Miles & Huberman) namely data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. The results indicated that the steps of using Quizizz went smoothly and got the students' enthusiasm for learning increased. By utilizing quizizz students are only required to log in to the quiz link, and write the join code, and the students' name. Students' activities related to the usage of Quizizz were obtained from observations using 3 indicators, namely listening activities, visual activities, and oral activities. The results of this activity are included in the "active" category with a final yield of 70.93%. While the students' responses related to the function of quzizz were obtained from the results of a questionnaire with 3 criteria, namely cognitive, affective, and conative. The students' responses obtained the final result of 79.05% with the criteria of "positive".

Abstract

AbstractThis study aimed to develop student worksheets with constructivism structure on trigonometry material in SMAN 1 Nanga Taman Sekadau Regency, West Kalimantan Province. The research method used R & D that development by Richey and Klein which include Planning, Production and evaluation. This student worksheets was a Trigonometry student worksheets whose material presentation is developed based on four phases of constructivism. The fourth part of constructivism includes exploration phase, application phase, restructuring phase and reflection phase. Based on the research, it was concluded that the trigonometry student worksheet is valid that was proven through the opinions of three experts and the results of factor analysis.  The factor analysis are the results of student answers on student worksheets, where each item in the factor analysis had a value above r-count, 0.30. The increase of students' adaptive reasoning abilities was seen from the results of the average pretest and post-test calculated using N-Gain amounting to 0.61 with an increase category namely moderate. Keywords: Adaptive reasoning, Constructivism, Student worksheets

Abstract

AbstractThis research aimed to know the effectiveness of the implementation of problem based learning approach in fraction operations topic at class VII SMP Negeri 2 Pontianak. The research method used is pre-experimental method with the one-shot case study design. The aspect used to determine the effectiveness of the problem based learning approach are teacher’s class management, student’s activity and student’s outcomes. The Data collection tools used are test student’s outcomes  which contains 4 essay and the observation sheet for teacher’s class management and student’s activity. The result of the descriptive analysis carried out are teacher’s class management categorized good (3,21), student’s activity categorized active enough (60%) and student’s completeness not fulfilled classically (only 23 students or 66% of students can fulfill the standard completeness). Because there was one aspect that not fulfilled, so the implementation of problem based learning approach in fraction operations topic at class VII SMP Negeri 12 Pontianak was not effective.Keywords : Application,Fraction operation,Problem Based Learning model

Abstract

AbstractThe purpose of this study is to find out the validity of digitalworksheetsdeveloped withmacromedia flash based on Van Hiele theory on cube material and to know thestudent's learning results after using the digital worksheets. The research wasconducted at SMP Negeri 01 Tempunak in the even semester. The subjects of the studywere 12 grade VIII students. The type of research used are Research and Developmentresearch using ADDI (analysis, design, development, and implementation) model.Researchers measured the level of effectiveness of this study with a minimum learningmastery standard (KKM) that is 70. The validity of digital worksheets can be seen frommedia experts, learning materials experts and alumi experts master of mathematicseducation UNTAN leads to the same decision that is the feasibility of the product thathas been produced to be used as a medium in mathematics learning. Based on thestudent's study results, it was obtained that 10 students completed while 2 students hadnot reached KKM. After being converted with a scale conversion table from the studyresults 12 students presentase 83.33% achievement level is in good qualifications.Keywords: Digital Worksheet, Macromedia Flash, Van Hiele Theory

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplanasi perbedaan proses pembelajaran rutin dan dengan pendekatan kinestetik untuk meningkatkan penalaran dan komunikasi matematis anak autis dalam materi sudut dan bangun datar, dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui proses pembelajaran seperti apa yang baik. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Lembaga Pendidikan Rumah Mtaematika dan Sains Pontianak dengan sampel purposive. Peneliti meneliti satu anak autis dimulai dari tanggal 17 April 2014 sampai dengan 20 November 2014 dengan sistem tatap muka. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah instrumen non tes berupa: angket, wawancara, lembar observasi, observasi, dokumentasi, analisis dokumen, diskusi terfokus. Pengembangan instrumen telah terlebih dahulu melalui tahap validasi. Teknik dan prosedur pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Prosedur analisis data menggunakan analisis data penelitian kualitatif. Penelitian ini tidak bertujuan untuk menguji suatu hipotesis, melainkan bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana proses pembelajaran anak autis dan penalaran serta komunikasi matematisnya. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan penalaran dan komunikasi matematis anak autis akan menjadi lebih baik jika dikombinasikan dengan gerakan. Dengan adanya proses pembelajaran dengan pendekatan kinestetik ini, penalaran dan komunikasi matematis anak autis lebih meningkat. Dengan menggunakan gerakan, penalaran mereka lebih baik dan mereka mampu mengkomunikasikan dengan lebih lancar.Kata Kunci: Proses Pembelajaran, Pendekatan Kinestetik, Penalaran Dan Komunikasi Matematis, Anak Autis Abstract: The purpose of this research is to explain the difference between daily learning process and kinesthetic approach to increase the reasoning and mathematical communication of an autistic child in angle material and plane figure, with greatly intention to know what kind of learning process will be better to apply. This research was conducted at Educational Institution of Rumah Matematika and Sains Pontianak which took purposive sample. Researcher investigated one autistic child, started on 17th of April 2014 to 20th of November 2014 by using face-to-face way. The instruments used are non-test instruments in the form of; questionnaire, interview, observation sheets, observation, documentation, document analysis, focused discussion. The development of the instrument had successfully passed the validation stage. Technique and procedure of data collection used qualitative research of data analysis. This research is not intended to test the hypothesis;however, it is to know how the learning process and reasoning of an autistic child as well as his mathematical communication. This research finding showed that the reasoning and mathematical communication of an autistic child will be better if they are integrated with the movement. The reasoning and mathematical communication of an autistic child are significantly increased by applying the learning process with kinesthetic approach. Abstract

AbstractThe purpose of this research was to describe procedural fluency of algebraic operation in terms of student academic procrastination SMP Negeri 4 Ketapang. The form of this research was a case study which used a descriptive qualitative method. There were 25 students of grade VII A as the subject of this research. The object of this research was procedural fluency of algebraic operation in terms of high, middle, and low student academic procrastination condition. The technique of data collection in this research was procedural fluency test, student academic procrastination questionnaire, and unstructured interview. The data analysis was in the form of procedural fluency test, student academic procrastination questionnaire, and interview. The result of the descriptive analysis showed that student with a high condition of academic procrastination have low and middle condition of mathematic procedural fluency. Student with a middle condition of academic procrastination had middle and high condition of mathematic procedural fluency. Student with a low condition of academic procrastination had middle and high condition of mathematic procedural fluency.Keywords : Academic Procrastination, Algebraic Operation, Procedural Fluency

Abstract

LKPD which is widely known and used in learning, usually only contains practice questions to measure students abilities and does not relate it to the cultural context. Culture is closely related to students, where culture is related to activities in everyday life. The Ethnomatematics Based Worksheet, Javanese culture is given which can help students understand the concept of sets, hoping to attract students interest. Research hopelly that the community will become more open to the surrounding culture. Research hopelly can also contribute to the field of education, especially as a learning medium in mathematics. This study former a development model with a Research and Development (R&D) in 4D form. The research instruments former were questionnaires, interviews and literature study. The subjects were 9 SMP students who had gone through the material to understand the concept of sets. The Ethnomatematics-based worksheets were appropriate for learning in Pontianak, especially for class VII SMP in learning mathematics on set concept material is showed in the result

Abstract

AbstractThe research aims to find out students’ conceptual understanding in terms of mathematical representation ability in the function subject matter at SMA Negeri 8 Pontianak. The method used in this research is descriptive research method, especially descriptive quantitative. Based on the data analysis obtained: (1) Students’ conceptual understanding of the function subject matter with the visual category ability representation is at the medium criteria; (2) Students’ conceptual understanding of the function subject matter with the symbolic category ability representation  is at the lowest criteria; (3) Students’ conceptual understanding of  the function subject matter with verbal category ability representation is at the low criteria.Therefore, it can be concluded that the students' conceptual understanding of the  function subject matter in the eleventh grade of SMA Negeri 8 Pontianak were varied, in which the visual representation ability was higher than the verbal representation ability and the symbolic representation ability.  Keywords:  Conceptual Understanding, Function, Mathematical Representation Ability

Abstract

AbstractThe study was conducted to investigate the relationship between the use of vlog media in learning and the concept understanding ability. The results of daily test of students who can achieve or exceed the Minimum Completeness Criteria are only 31.4% illustrating the lack of the understanding of students concepts. Using vlogs can be a choice of interactive and interesting learning media to help increase concept understanding of students. This type of research is explanatory research with selected research subjects are students of the 2019/2020 school year class VIII F according to the teacher's considerations. The research instrument was an essay test of concept understanding ability and a questionnaire of the use of vlog media in learning. The research analysis includes a description of the achievement of concept understanding, the feasibility of vlog learning media, and the Spearman Rank (ρ) test. The analysis results shows that the use of vlog media in learning has a relationship to the concepts understanding ability with a known correlation value of 0.410 which indicates the use of good vlogs as a learning medium sufficiently supportive to increase the ability to understand concepts.Keywords: Concept Understanding Ability, Learning Media, Vlog
