Abstract

AbstractThis research aimed to determine the effectiveness of the implementation of Trade A Problem type as learning model in teaching arithmetic sequence and series in the Class XI students of “SMAN 01 Meliau”. The research method used was pre-experimental method with one-shot case study design. The aspect to determine the effectiveness of this research are class management, students activity and student’s outcomes. The tools of data collecting were 4 iteams essays, teacher’s class management and students’ activities observational sheets. Through descriptive analysis, founded that the result of teachers’ class management was categorized as good (3,37), while the students’ activities result categorized as active (76,25%) and student’s completeness not fulfilled classically (only 21 students or 65,6% of students can fulfill the standard completeness). Trade A Problem type as learning model in teaching arithmetic sequence and series in the class XI students of “SMAN 01 Meliau” is effective on the aspects of class management and students activity. Keywords: Arithmetic Sequence and Series, Effectiveness, Trade a problem type Of Cooperative Model

Abstract

AbstractThis research aims (1) to describe the preskripsi task of learning to assemble a computer. (2) design the look of the model of simulation-based audiovisual media skills to assemble a computer. (3) presents the relevant storyboard computer assemble a computer simulation model. (4) to understand the effectiveness of learning the skills to assemble the computers. Audio visual This development in research Method using the methods of research and development and modified with design model of the Dick and Carey. Assessment of the results of the validation of the media expert on average very good response, expert material on average very good designs and expert response average response very good showed learning materials-based model simulations and audiovisual computer assemble a computer meets eligibility criteria with a total average response from experts of very good. The earnings results of students before and after using media can be seen from the average value of the post-test students of 90 > 65 (KKM). Besides an increase in the value of the results of learning this can also be seen from the two paired samples t test showed the value t calculate more > t table (16.748 > 0, 8374). Besarnya the effectiveness of the use of simulation and model learning materials audio-visual assembles computers for learning computer Assembly of strong effect, then the results of the effectiveness of the intended learning gain in the category of high. Abstract

Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini secara umum untuk mendeskripsikan potensi penalaran adaptif matematis siswa dikaji dari tingkat kemampuan matematikanya dalam materi persamaan garis lurus di kelas VIII SMP Negeri 18 Pontianak tahun ajaran 2015/2016. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif dengan bentuk penelitian studi kasus. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan penalaran adaptif matematis siswa sesuai dengan tingkat kemampuan matematikanya. Artinya, kemampuan penalaran adaptif matematis siswa dalam materi persamaan garis lurus yang tergolong dalam kelompok atas termasuk dalam kategori tinggi (61,67%), siswa yang tergolong dalam kelompok tengah termasuk dalam kategori sedang (50%), dan siswa yang tergolong dalam kelompok bawah termasuk dalam kategori rendah (38,33%). Kata Kunci: Potensi, Penalaran Adaptif, Kemampuan Matematika. Abstract: In general, the aim of this research is to describe the potential of adaptive mathematical reasoning of the students which studied from the math skills level of linear equation at grade eight of “SMP Negeri 18 Pontianak” in the Academic Year 2015/2016. The research method used was descriptive case study. The result showed that the potential of adaptive mathematical reasoning of the students suitable with the level of mathematical ability. That is, the adaptive mathematical reasoning skills students of linear equation who belong to the top level included in high category (61.67%), students who belong to the middle level included in the medium category (50%), and students who belong to below level included in low category (38.33%). Abstract

AbstractThis research aims to determine and describe the translation ability of students' mathematical representations in the material of adding fractions in class VII SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Pontianak. The subjects of this study were 27 grade VII students of SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Pontianak. The method used in this research is descriptive method with a survey form. The techniques used in this research are measurement techniques through written tests in the form of essays and direct communication techniques through interviews. Based on the results of data analysis, the translation ability of students' mathematical representations is included in the medium category. The ability to translate students 'representations from verbal to symbolic forms is in the high and very high category and vice versa, the translational ability of students' representations from symbolic to verbal forms is in the low, medium and high categories. Abstract

AbstractThe facts show that students' understanding of the concept of absolute value is still in low classified. The lack of understanding of student concepts is influenced by several factors, one of which is lack of student confidence in working on problems. self confidence is one part of student learning independence. Therefore this study aims to describe the understanding of the concept of the absolute value equation in terms of student learning independence. The research method used is descriptive qualitative in the form of case studies. Subjects were thirty-eight students in SMA Negeri 2 Pontianak. The results of this study indicate that students' understanding of concepts is balanced with learning independence. students who have a high level of learning independence overall the results of the concept understanding test are also high. students who have a level of independence of learning while overall the results of the test understanding of the concept are also being. students who have low levels of learning independence overall the results of the concept understanding test are also low. The conclusion from study's result showed that level the high student's independence learning, the level student's concept understanding was high also.Keywords: Absolute Value Equations, Concept Understanding, Learning                  Independence

Abstract

AbstractThe purpose of this study was to describe the ethno-mathematics in the saprahan activities and to detrmine students mastery of material in solving mathematics problems in the saprahan context. The method used in this research is descriptive method. The subject are the students of VII A of SMPN 3 Jawai and the object is the mastery of the material in solving mathematics problems in the cotext of the saprahan. The data collection techniques used were written measurement techniques and direct communication techniques, so that the data collection tools used were test question, interview guidelines, and documents. Based on the results and discussion of ethno-mathematics in the saprahan activity, it includes five activities, namely 1) Merancap, relation to mathematical concept is the addition, 2) Bekaot, relation to mathematical concept is the addition and volume, 3) Ngator sajian, relation to mathematical concept is the plane, 4) Besurrong, relation to mathematical concept is the addition and plane, and 5) Bekakas, relation mathematical concept is the inequality. Of the five saprahan activities made in the form of questions, each questions consists of one saprahan activity. So that the results of  the mastery of the material test in solving mathematics problems with the saprahan context has an average value of 68, while the average daily test results without the saprahan context is 52,94. This shows that students can solve math problems in the context of the greeting with good results compared to the form of questions they usually receive in school. Keywords: Ethno-matematics Saprahan, Mastery of The Material, Saprahan

AbstractThe purpose of this research is to elaborate and describe the student error in provingmathematical statements using mathematical induction and their cause. The method ofthis research is descriptive with case study. The research subject are the student of classXI MIA SMA Islam BAWARI Pontianak. Data collection tools used diagnostic tests andinterviews. Based on the data analysis, the errors under taken by student consisted ofthree types of errors, namely conceptual errors, procedural errors and technical errors.Of the three types of errors, the most common is procedural errors. The causea ofstudent errors are that students are fixated on the sample questions given, students don’tunderstand the principle of mathematical induction, the nature of multiplication ofexponents, as well as meaning and use of the assumption n = k is true. In addition,student also don’t understand what statements are proving in the induction step, theprocedure for proving the n=k+1 and manipulate algebraic expressions in the inductionstep. There is no explanation during the online learning process so that students cannotsolve problems. Abstract

ABSTRAKTujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menguji kontribusi keterampilan matematika yang ditunjukkan serta tingkat pembelajaran matematika di antara siswa VAK di kelas matematika. Google Scholar berfungsi sebagai sumber daya untuk menganalisis temuan penelitian dalam periode 2019-2024.  Pencarian yang dimaksud menghasilkan sebanyak 94 Artikel yang relevan dan kemudian disesuaikan dengan kriteria inklusi berasal dari 74 artikel sebagai studi pendahuluan. Artikel-artikel yang telah disebutkan di atas kemudian dianalisis berdasarkan kemampuan matematis dari masing-masing pendekatan pembelajaran yang diperoleh dari hasil penelitian. Berdasarkan hasil proses pengumpulan data, pembelajaran visual memiliki kemampuan matematis tinggi yaitu untuk menyelesaikan masalah , berkomunikasi secara matematis, dan berpikir kritis. Selain itu, kemampuan siswa dalam membentuk kemampuan berpikir kritis tinggi juga terjadi ketika mereka belajar kinestetik. Setiap siswa yang menggunakan metode pembelajaran audiovisual secara konsisten memiliki kemampuan matematika yang standar, atau lebih tepatnya, tidak memiliki kemampuan matematis yang menonjol.Kata Kunci: kemampuan matematis, gaya belajar V-A-K, pembelajaran matematika ABSTRACTThe purpose of this study was to examine the contribution of demonstrated math skills as well as the level of math learning among VAK students in math classes. Google Scholar served as a resource for analyzing research findings in the 2019-2024 period.  The search in question yielded many 94 relevant articles and then adjusted to the inclusion criteria derived from 74 articles as a preliminary study. The articles mentioned above were then analyzed based on the mathematical ability of each learning approach obtained from the research results. Based on the results of the data collection process, visual learning has high mathematical ability to solve problems, communicate mathematically, and think critically. In addition, students' ability to form high critical thinking skills also occurs when they learn kinesthetically. Every student who uses audiovisual learning method consistently has standard mathematical ability, or rather, has no outstanding mathematical ability.Keywords: mathematical ability, learning style V-A-K, mathematics learning

Abstract

This study aims to design and evaluate the effectiveness of website-based statistical learning media at Bina Sarana Informatika University, Pontianak. The media was developed using Lectora Inspire by following the ADDIE development model, which includes five stages: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The method applied in this study is research and development (R&D). The results of empirical tests conducted on students indicate that website-based statistical learning media is classified as adequate. The effectiveness measurement was carried out using the N-gain test, where the mean value obtained was 0.7679 or 76.79%. This means there was an increase of 76.79% in student understanding after using this media. Of the 100 students tested, 85 significantly increased understanding, with an average of 38.33 points between the pretest and posttest. These results place the effectiveness of learning media in the high category, indicating that this Media is efficacious in improving student learning outcomes. The results of this study indicate that website-based learning media designed with the ADDIE model can effectively improve students' understanding. This means that other educational institutions that want to improve the quality of their learning can adopt a similar approach, especially in subjects that require deep conceptual and analytical understanding, such as statistics.
