Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to design a Geographic Information System (GIS)-based e-commerce application for Micro, Small, And Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) using the Unified Modeling Language (UML). The novelty of this study lies in the integration of UML modeling with GIS-based features to support spatial visualization in MSME e-commerce systems, which is limited in prior studies. Methodology/approach: This research adopts a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the waterfall model, which was selected because of its suitability for structured system design with clearly defined requirements. Results/Findings: The results demonstrate that UML modeling, including use case, activity, and class diagrams, successfully represents system functionality, user interactions, and data structures in a systematic and consistent manner. The completeness and consistency of the model were evaluated based on the alignment between system requirements and diagram representation. However, this study is limited to system design without full implementation and empirical testing. Conclusions: This study introduces a GIS-based e-commerce design for MSMEs using UML modelling, a novel approach in integrating spatial features. The UML models effectively represent system functions and data. However, the study is limited by the lack of implementation and testing. Future research should focus on full implementation and empirical validation. Limitations: This study has limitations in that comprehensive system implementation and testing have not been conducted. Contributions: This research contributes conceptually and methodologically by providing a structured UML-based design model for GIS-integrated MSME e-commerce systems that can be used as a reference for future development and implementation.

Abstract

Abstract

Background: The increasing environmental challenges and sustainability pressures have significantly transformed the way firms formulate their competitive strategies. In response to these global changes, green entrepreneurial orientation and environmental orientation have emerged as critical organizational capabilities that enable businesses to balance economic performance with societal and environmental responsibilities. Despite the growing body of research in this area, existing studies remain fragmented and lack an integrated understanding of the intellectual structure and development trajectory of this research field. Objective: This study aims to map the global research landscape of green entrepreneurial orientation and environmental orientation through a comprehensive bibliometric analysis grounded in the Natural Resource-Based View (NRBV). Methods: Using publications retrieved from the Semantic Scholar database from 2010 to 2025, bibliometric techniques were employed to analyze publication trends, influential authors and journals, collaborative networks, and thematic evolution using VOSviewer software. Results: The findings reveal rapid growth of research interest, with dominant themes focusing on green innovation, sustainable competitive advantage, and business performance. Network, overlay, and density visualizations indicate strong intellectual linkages between entrepreneurial orientation, environmental strategy, and firm-level outcomes, reflecting a recent shift towards innovation-driven sustainability. Conclusion: This study provides an integrated overview of sustainability-oriented strategic orientations and their role in supporting business resilience, offering implications for managers, policymakers, and researchers aligned with sustainable development goals.

Abstract

This study examines customary marriage in Mandailing Natal as a form of living law that shapes kinship relations, social legitimation, and dispute resolution. Using a normative–empirical socio-legal design, the research triangulates doctrinal analysis of Islamic family-law sources, notably ‘urf and maqasid al-shari’ah, with field evidence on Dalihan Na Tolu procedures, ceremonial practice, consent dynamics, and local adjudication. The results show that many customary mechanisms, such as collective deliberation and the customary dowry (mahar), substantively align with core objectives of Islamic family law and may be classified as ‘urf sahih, insofar as they advance lineage protection, dignity, and contractual certainty. Nevertheless, evolving social pressures produce misalignments, particularly around free and informed consent, equitable allocation of marital entitlements, and the legal visibility of customary marriages in Mandailing Natal. To address these tensions the study recommends inclusive, maqasid al-shari’ah-informed interventions: clearer documentation of consent and mahar, stronger links between customary authorities and civil registration, and targeted legal literacy for women and customary leaders. Scientifically, this study contributes an integrated ‘urf and maqasid al-shari’ah evaluative framework grounded in empirical data, offering both theoretical refinement and actionable policy guidance for reconciling living custom with the protective aims of Islamic family law.

Abstract

Hypertension is a major risk factor for cardiovascular disease and remains a public health problem in Indonesia, including South Kalimantan. Diet plays a significant role in the development of hypertension, particularly in communities living in river basins characterized by high sodium and low fiber consumption. This study aims to analyze the relationship between dietary patterns and the incidence of hypertension in communities along the Martapura River Basin, South Kalimantan. The study, conducted in 2025, used a cross-sectional design with 260 purposively selected respondents. Data were collected through interviews using a structured questionnaire and blood pressure measurements. The Spearman test showed a significant association between the consumption of fatty foods (Rho=0.323; p=0.000), salty foods (Rho=0.341; p=0.000), fruit (Rho=0.575; p=0.000), and vegetables (Rho=0.477; p=0.000) and the incidence of hypertension. High sodium consumption and low fruit and vegetable consumption are determinants contributing to the high prevalence of hypertension in the Martapura River Basin community. This study emphasizes the need for contextual public health interventions through nutrition education and increased access to healthy foods to reduce the burden of hypertension in the region.
