Abstract

This article discusses the analysis of news content about conditions after the 2024 Presidential and Vice Presidential Elections. Researchers will analyze six news reported by Tempo.co online media between February 15 and 18, 2024. The news is analyzed to find out how journalism works and construct reality carried out by Tempo.co. The media, which is business-under the auspices of the Tempo Media Group company, has been known to be independent and critical. This research uses Holsti Theory or (Holsti Theory) to analyze the content of Tempo.co news with descriptive analysis methods. The subject of this study is Tempo.co as a source of information researchers get data. The object of research is six post-2024 Presidential Election news on the Tempo.co page of the February 15-18, 2024 edition. Supporting sources for this research are books and other research journals that can explain the information needed by researchers. The results showed that Tempo.co reported the dynamics of the 2024 Presidential Election within the framework of critical, analytical, and independent journalism, but still prioritized the principle of balancing or covering both sides, verified, and factual (based on facts). Tempo.co presents news about the presidential election without having a tendency of interest and only presents facts with the selection of competent sources. This is evidenced by the variation of post-Presidential Election news without cornering any of the three existing Presidential Candidate-Vice President pairs. Abstract

With respect to the global mission of Islamic higher education institutions for the Islamic world along with the highly volatile organizational environment and intense competition in the era of globalization, Islamic higher educations need to innovate. The existing literature reveals that innovation is one of the significant drivers for organizational competitive advantage. Innovation is very important for organizations to be able to survive in a dynamic and rapidly changing environment. However, existing studies have been silent regarding factors influencing administrative staff innovative behavior. This study then aims to analyze innovative work behavior of administrative staff and the factors that influence it, namely Islamic work ethics and organizational commitment. Quantitative approach was used. Sample was determined using purposive random sampling and data was collected by distributing questionnaires. The results of the analysis show that Islamic work ethic has no effect on innovative work behavior, while organizational commitment has a positive effect. However, these two variables have an effect on innovative work behavior simultaneously.

Abstract

Research Aims: With cultural sensitivity acting as a moderating factor, this study investigates the effects of pricing strategy, cleanliness, meal quality, and service quality on customer loyalty and brand recognition of Indonesian restaurants in Taiwan. Design/Methodology/Approach: Four hundred overseas respondents participated in a structured survey; partial least squares (PLS) and structural equation modelling (SEM) were used to analyse the results. Research Findings: The findings indicated that while service quality and cleanliness had no discernible impact, food quality and pricing strategy greatly enhanced consumer loyalty. Cultural sensitivity bolstered the favourable correlation between loyalty and food quality. Theoretical Contribution/Originality: The study adds to the body of knowledge in marketing by emphasising how crucial cultural sensitivity is to building patronage in foreign ethnic eateries. Managerial Implication: The results highlight the importance of food quality and price strategies for Indonesian restaurant owners in Taiwan, together with the integration of cultural components to cultivate brand awareness and loyalty. Additionally, they must enhance both the hygiene of their eateries and their marketing campaigns. Research Limitation & Implications: The results' generalisability may be limited by the study's focus on international clients in Taiwan; therefore, ambiance and menu diversity should be taken into account in future studies. A more thorough understanding of customer satisfaction and loyalty would be possible by diversifying the client base and investigating new markets.

Abstract

This literature review critically examines teaching practices that ignore diagnostic assessment results for student learning types. The study analyzed 20 research articles to identify the current state of diagnostic assessment implementation in differentiated learning, the pedagogical impacts of neglecting diagnostic assessment results, and conceptual recommendations for optimizing the integration of assessment results in differentiated instruction. The findings reveal varying stages of teachers’ conceptual understanding and implementation skills, with a significant gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application. Neglecting diagnostic assessment results negatively impacts learning effectiveness, motivation, and student achievement. Diagnostic assessment serves as the foundation for differentiated learning by mapping students’ learning readiness, interests, and learning style profiles. The study recommends developing adaptive learning media that systematically integrate diagnostic assessment results into differentiated instructional strategies. This innovative approach has the potential to enhance the effectiveness, efficiency, and equity of learning while supporting the vision of student-centered education in the Merdeka Belajar (Freedom to Learn) curriculum. The study contributes to the theoretical understanding of the relationship between diagnostic assessment and differentiated instruction and offers practical directions for future educational practices oriented towards individual learners’ needs.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the application of the Inquiry-Based Learning (IBL) learning model on students' tactical thinking skills in soccer games at SMA 9 Makassar. The research method used a quasi-experimental design with a pretest–posttest control group design. The sample consisted of 40 students divided into two groups: 20 students in the experimental group (IBL) and 20 students in the control group (conventional method). The instruments were a tactical performance test through soccer games and a tactical observation sheet (notational analysis). Data were analyzed using normality tests, homogeneity tests, paired t-tests, and independent t-tests. The results showed that the experimental group experienced an average increase in tactical thinking skills from 62.40 (pretest) to 81.25 (posttest), while the control group increased from 63.10 to 69.30. The t-test results confirmed that the increase in the experimental group was statistically significant (p < 0.01) compared to the control group. These findings indicate that the IBL model is significantly effective in improving tactical thinking skills in soccer games compared to conventional methods. Practical implications: Physical education teachers and school coaches may consider implementing IBL to train students' cognitive-tactical aspects, not just technical or motor skills. This research supports the idea that active-participatory learning can develop young soccer players who are not only physically skilled but also able to think strategically in real-life games.

Abstract

Abstract

This literature review examines the effects of omega-3 supplementation, specifically EPA and DHA, on cognitive performance and focus among athletes, with a particular emphasis on precision sports such as petanque. A total of 18 eligible studies published between 2015 and 2025 were systematically analyzed using the PRISMA guidelines. The databases Scopus, PubMed, Web of Science, DOAJ, Google Scholar, and national Indonesian portals were searched. The findings indicate that omega-3 supplementation consistently improves cognitive outcomes—including selective attention, sustained focus, working memory, reaction time, and executive function. DHA was shown to enhance membrane fluidity, synaptic transmission efficiency, and neuroplasticity, while EPA contributed to reducing neural inflammation and cognitive fatigue. These mechanisms explain improvements observed in athletes requiring high mental precision. Despite the positive findings, several limitations remain, including heterogeneity in dosage, supplementation duration, cognitive measurement tools, and the lack of specific research on petanque athletes. Future research should include randomized controlled trials focusing directly on petanque populations and explore neurocognitive measures such as EEG or neuroimaging. Overall, omega-3 represents a promising nutritional strategy for improving cognitive readiness, focus, and performance in precision-based sports.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of pencak silat learning based on local Makassar cultural values in improving the character and sportsmanship of students at Sudirman I Elementary School, Makassar. Twenty students served as the sample, using a one-group pretest-posttest design. The research instrument consisted of a character and sportsmanship questionnaire administered before and after the intervention. Pencak silat learning was designed to integrate Makassar cultural values such as sipakatau, sipakainge, and sipakalebbi into each training session. Data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics (paired t-test). The results showed a significant improvement in both study variables. The average character score increased from 72 to 85 (18.05%), while the sportsmanship score increased from 70 to 88 (25.71%). The t-test results showed a p-value of 0.000, indicating a significant difference between the pretest and posttest. The effect size values showed a significant influence (d = 1.39 for character and d = 1.78 for sportsmanship), confirming that cultural values-based learning has a strong impact on student behavior. These findings indicate that integrating local culture into pencak silat learning not only improves students' skills and fitness but also strengthens character education in line with the Merdeka Curriculum. This learning model is worthy of recommendation for widespread implementation in elementary school physical education.
