Abstract

Korowelangkulon Village, Cepiring Sub-district, Kendal Regency, is one of the villages with stunting cases. Education about stunting, food security, and utilization of vacant land around the house are part of the efforts to deal with stunting within the family. The community service program carried out by the KKN-T 33 team of Alma Ata University Yogyakarta aims to improve food independence, family nutritional welfare, and farming skills. This activity uses the Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) approach which consists of five stages: discovery (finding assets), dream (formulating dreams), design (designing strategies), define (determining actions), and destiny (program implementation). The main target of this program is the PKK cadres of Korowelangkulon Village. The results achieved include an increased understanding of PKK cadres about food security and stunting prevention through vegetable banks, the role of cadres as examples for the community, and increased skills in processing plastic waste as planting media. The vegetable bank program is expected to have a positive impact in increasing food self-sufficiency and preventing stunting in the family, while optimizing the local potential of the community.

Abstract

It has often been argued that customer satisfaction can contribute significantly to a company’s success in a variety of ways. This research aims to investigate the effect of customer satisfaction on behavioural intentions. Two determinants of behavioral intentions examined in this study namely repurchase intentions and positive word-of-mouth communication. The model has been tested using surveyed data from 546 car insurance consumers in Melbourne, Australia. The empirical results of this study show that the higher the level of satisfaction, the higher the consumer’s intentions to repurchase and inform positive information about the purchased product and company to other people. This means that the more satisfied the consumers the more likely they are to repurchase car insurance from the same company and more likely to do positive word-of-mouth communication. Thus, behavioral intentions expressed by consumers depend on their levels of satisfaction. Hence, the company might maintain their existing customers and attract new consumers to achieve better financial performance. Discussion and managerial implications are provided based on research results.

Abstract

The agricultural sector in Kebumen Regency contributes significantly to the regional economy, particularly through crystal guava commodities. Patukgawemulyo Village, Mirit Subdistrict, is recognized as a production center of crystal guava with high yields; however, the selling price of fresh fruit tends to be low and unstable. This condition is further exacerbated by farmers’ limited ability in product diversification, marketing strategies, and business management, resulting in suboptimal economic potential. This community service program aimed to enhance the capacity of farmer groups in production, marketing, and agribusiness management based on crystal guava commodities. A participatory approach was applied, actively involving 30 members of the Margo Mulyo Farmer Group through planning, implementation, and follow-up stages. The training focused on two main aspects: product innovation and marketing strategies. Participants were trained to produce various value-added crystal guava-based products. In addition, marketing training covered branding, labeling, packaging design, and the use of digital media to expand market reach. The results indicated an improvement in participants’ technical skills in guava processing, successful product diversification that extended fruit shelf life, and enhanced understanding of digital marketing strategies. The partners also developed a product identity through basic labeling and initiated online marketing. Thus, this program contributes to strengthening the independence of farmer groups and supporting the development of creative economy based on local potential. Continuous mentoring is recommended to ensure product innovation sustainability and strengthen digital marketing efforts.

Abstract

The establishment of Measurement Equivalence/Invariance (ME/I) is a logical prerequisite to conducting substantive cross-groups comparisons, for example tests of group mean differences, invariance of structural parameter estimates. In agreement with this argument, this paper aims to (1) demonstrate the stages to establish ME/I test, (2) provide an example of ME/I application on customer satisfaction survey across three groups of consumer, (3) demonstrate the steps should be carried out if the measurement were not perceived equivalently by respondents. Conclusions and future research directions are presented.

Abstract

Critically ill patients experiencing dysfunction in one or more organs are highly dependent on hemodynamic monitoring equipment and Intensive Care Unit (ICU) therapy. Autogenic relaxation is one of the non-pharmacological therapy options that can help stabilize the hemodynamic status of patients because it can provide a relaxing effect, reduce mild to moderate physical and psychological stress and tension, and provide comfort so that hemodynamics become stable. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of autogenic relaxation on the hemodynamics of patients in the ICU at Permata Medika Hospital in Semarang. This study was a quasi-experimental study with a pre-test and post-test non-equivalent control group design, providing a 10-minute autogenic relaxation intervention twice a day for 2 days to the intervention group. Hemodynamics were measured on the first day before the intervention and on the last day after the intervention. Meanwhile, in the control group, hemodynamic measurements were only taken on the first day and the last day using a bedside monitor and observation sheet. The research population consisted of patients treated in the ICU of Permata Medika Hospital in Semarang, with a sample size of 30 people divided into intervention and control groups. The sampling method was accidental sampling. The data were analyzed using the Mann-Whitney test because the results of the normality test showed that the data were not normally distributed. The results of the study showed p-values for systolic blood pressure of 0.340 and diastolic blood pressure of 0.693, pulse of 0.803, respiration of 0.835, body temperature of 0.815, and oxygen saturation of 0.963, indicating no significant difference in hemodynamic status between the intervention group and the control group. Therefore, it can be concluded that autogenic relaxation has no effect on the hemodynamics of patients in the ICU at Permata Medika Hospital in Semarang. These results are likely due to the small and non-heterogeneous sample size. Therefore, further research with a larger and more heterogeneous sample size is needed.
