Abstract

This study aims to gain an overview of student weakness in explanation of procedures, symptoms observed, and the basic concepts in the lecture of electrometry based laboratory activities associated with the work culture and the development of inter-intrapersonal intelligence. This study used 30 subjects, they are chemistry education students who take courses in analytical chemistry lab instruments. Data were collected through preliminary tests in writing and oral questions during student reported observational data. The mean value for the explanation of the procedure, the symptoms observed, as well as the basic concepts are respectively 60, 61 and 59 (score 100). Practicum that lasts to this day do not give opportunity to develop inter-intrapersonal ability students such as information identification, information elaborating, discussions to develop and evaluate procedures, formulate new concepts and create reports. Therefore it is necessary to built the electrometry lecture-based lab activities that give students the opportunity to develop inter-intrapersonal intelligence which is also associated with the work culture of Java.Keywords: Electrometry, Inter-intrapersonal, Lab Activity, Work Culture

Abstract

Telah dilakukan penelitian komparasi hasil belajar kimia antara siswa yang diberi model pembelajaran collaborative learning dengan model pembelajaran konvensional. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar kimia antara siswa yang diberi model pembelajaran Collaborative Learning dengan model pembelajaran konvensional pokok materi  termokimia, mengetahui  hasil  belajar manakah  yang  lebih  baik  di  antara kedua model tersebut. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI IA semester 1 SMA Negeri I Purbalingga tahun pelajaran 2008/2009. Berdasarkan teknik cluster random sampling diperoleh dua kelas sampel yaitu kelas XI  IA  4 sebagai kelompok eksperimen dan kelas XI IA 3 sebagai kelompok kontrol. Metode pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah metode dokumentasi, tes, dan angket. Berdasarkan hasil analisis uji t data hasil belajar, diperoleh harga thitung  sebesar 2,994  dan harga ttabel sebesar 1,19. Karena thitung lebih besar  dari  ttabel  berarti  hasil  belajar  kelompok  eksperimen  lebih  baik  daripada  kelompok kontrol. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa hasil belajar siswa yng diberi model pembelajaran Collaborative Learning lebih baik daripada model pembelajaran konvensional. berdasarkan angket refl eksi, siswa merasa lebih mudah memahami materi Termokimia dengan model pembelajaran Collaborative Learning. Kata Kunci: hasil belajar, collaborative learning,konvensional

Abstract

Telah dilakukan penelitian tindakan kelas untuk memperbaiki dan meningkatkan hasil belajarsiswa melalui penelitian tindakan kelas dengan pendekatan Keterampilan Proses Sains (KPS) BerorientasiProblem Based Instruction (PBI). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di kelas XII IPA 8 SMA N 2 Semarang tahunpelajaran 2008/2009, dengan jumlah siswa 40 orang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakahpembelajaran dengan menggunakan Pendekatan KPS Berorientasi PBI dapat meningkatkan hasilbelajar dan aktivitas belajar siswa. Fokus dalam penelitian ini adalah hasil belajar kimia yang meliputiaspek kognitif, afektif, psikomotorik, selain juga aktivitas belajar dan keterampilan proses sains siswa,serta kinerja guru. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terjadinya peningkatan hasil belajar siswa berturut-turutadalah 70,33 , 80,63 dan 89,88. Aktivitas belajar siswa juga mengalami peningkatan yaitu dengan skorrata-rata 65,21 pada siklus I naik menjadi 75,88 pada siklus II serta meningkat pada siklus III menjadi85,05. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran kimia melalui pendekatan KPS berorientasi PBI dapatmeningkatkan hasil belajar serta aktivitas belajar siswa. Kata Kunci: keterampilan proses sains, problem based instruction

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis tingkat kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa melalui pembelajaran search solve create share pada materi asam basa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif analisis, dengan desain one shot case study. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling. Metode pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan tes dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa ada 3 klasifikasi yaitu tidak kritis, kurang kritis, dan cukup kritis. Klasifikasi siswa di tiap tingkat kemampuan berpikir kritis yaitu 6/33 siswa tergolong tidak kritis, 16/33 siswa tergolong kurang kritis, dan 11/33 siswa tergolong cukup kritis. Hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran search solve create share mampu melatih kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa, karena pada setiap tahapannya yaitu search (tahap pencarian), solve (tahap pemecahan masalah), create (tahap menyimpulkan), dan share (tahap menampilkan) memuat indikator kemampuan berpikir kritis. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa tingkat kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa setelah dilakukan pembelajaran search solve create share cenderung pada klasifikasi kurang kritis.

Abstract

The success achieved in the learning process is mostly determined by the ability of educators to develop teaching materials for basic automotive technology subjects with essential competencies evaluating battery work. This study aims to develop student worksheets based on Mathematical Science Technology Engaging (STEM), testing their feasibility, validity, and effectiveness. This study uses the Research and Development method and is carried out in the class X light automotive vehicle engineering at Vocational High School Harapan Mulya Kendal. The results of the study were obtained STEM-based student worksheets are appropriate to use so that they provide feedback to students to know the level of success of their learning and Completion in learning outcomes, the validity of STEM-based student worksheets Raising strong motivation and creativity for maximum learning because of guided education. Learning procedural, namely learning directed at the formation of character and work skills of participants, its effectiveness fosters collaboration between students and between students and teachers in the learning process. Based on the results of the development, it shows that the worksheet fulfills valid and practical criteria. It is recommended to be used as an alternative teaching material evaluating the work of the battery. The results of the study have new elements; namely, students know the relevance of concepts, practices, and content that directs thinking scientifically.

Abstract

The DT.AA rice refinery company is a rice supply company. The company has difficulty in predicting the supply of rice that must be provided to meet customer needs, because the system used by the company is still traditional, namely by recording in books. To help the company in making predictions of rice supply, a decision support system was created to determine the amount of rice that the company must provide in meeting customer needs. In determining the rice supply, there are predetermined criteria: sales last 3 days to the last 7 days. So that the process of determining the supply of rice can run, we need a decision support system using the moving average method. Moving average methods are often known as moving averages. The system development method used in this research is the Rapid Application Development (RAD) method, system modeling using Unified Modeling Language (UML), HTML and PHP used as the programming language with the mySQL database system. With this decision support system that uses the forecasting method, can help companies in determining the rice supply that must be provided in meeting customer needs.

Abstract

Salt hydrolysis is a difficult chemical concept because it is microscopic and abstract. These properties can occur misconceptions. The misconception in this material is quite high and is spread across all concepts. Submission of this material with appropriate learning methods and models is expected to reduce student misconceptions. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct research aimed at studying the results of the analysis of salt hydrolysis misconceptions after the application of guided inquiry assisted by e-laboratory instructions. This research was conducted at Jekulo 1 High School in the 2018/2019 academic year with 104 research subjects. The method used in this research is quantitative description method. The results obtained showed that students' misconceptions of salt hydrolysis material after the application of guided inquiry assisted by e-laboratory instructions were still high. The results of misconception analysis on salt hydrolysis materials were 47.50%. Misconceptions regarding changes in color in a salt solution, ionic equilibrium in a salt solution, experimental experiments to predict the pH of a salt solution, the acidic acidic nature of a salt solution, and the pH of a suitable salt solution were 41.35%; 62.50%; 35.58%; 37.02%; and 61.06%.

Abstract

This research aims to find out differences between PBL model by using demonstration to PBL model by using expository method toward problem solving skill and Primary School student ? affective learning achievement. This True experimental research was used with post-test only control group design. This research was used PBL with demonstration method given to experimental group and PBL with expository method given to control group. The data collection in this research was used observation, test, questionnaire, and documentation. The data analysis was used t-test. Based on the data analysis of this research, it revealed two data of problem solving skill and affective learning outcome with sig score (2 tailed) 0.000 < 0.05. Based on the already determined criteria of the test, then H0 was denied while  was accepted. showed there was average difference of problem solving skill and affective learning outcome of both groups with 81.36 for experimental group and 62.20 for control group. Meanwhile, the affective learning achievement of experimental group was 0.59 and control group was 0.18. Therefore, it could be concluded that there was difference of problem solving skill and student ? affective learning outcome by using PBL with demonstration method to PBL with expository method.

Abstract

Learing process in classroom in this time directing the students to develop their thinking skills, one of which is chemical literacy ability. Chemical literacy ability can be built by implementing learning activities get used to thinking and develop student knowledge concepts independently. The purpose of this research is to describe the profile of students’s chemical literacy ability improvement through contextual inquiry-based learning. The method used is experimental method with pretest-posttest control group design. Samples were taken using cluster random sampling technique, sample using two classes in X MIPA SMA Islam Sudirman Ambarawa. Data collection method in this research is chemical literacy test and questionnaire. Analysis of data using n-gain test, normality test, similarity two variance test, and t test. The results of the research showed the average value of chemical literacy posttest experimental class 72.86 and control class of 63.42. The test result of n-gain experimental class 0.621 and control class 0.618, both in medium category. The t test results on the posttest value tcount of 3.66 over ttable of 2.00, which means the chemical literacy ability of experimental class is better than control class. Based on these results, it can be concluded that contextual-guided inquiry learning can improve students’s chemical literacy profile on context aspect, knowledge, competency, and attitude aspect.

Abstract

Chemistry is a subject that is closely related to learning that requires students to be active in problem solving. Because of this, a worksheet development is needed to support chemistry learning activities. This study aims to develop a Student Based Worksheet (LKPD) based on Problem Based Learning (PBL) hydrolysis material to improve mathematical logical intelligence. The quality of LKPD is measured by the criteria of validity, effectiveness, and practicality in the learning process. The development model used in this study is a 3D model (define, design and develop). Data analysis techniques using qualitative and quantitative tests. The product development validation was carried out by the validator of media experts and material experts, while the trial was conducted by 36 students of class XI IPA 5. The results of the validator analysis stated that the quality of learning material was included in the excellent category with a percentage of 93.77% of the material experts and 94.46% of media experts. The effectiveness of LKPD indicated an increase in mathematical logical intelligence of students with the achievement of N-gain of 0.56 in the medium category and classical completeness of 86.11%. Student responses to the practicality of using LKPD showed results of 77.78% which included in the very good category and 22.22% included in the good category. Based on the results obtained, it can be concluded that LKPD fulfills valid, effective, practical criteria, and can improve mathematical logical intelligence.
